The Best Dim Sum Restaurants in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Long a Ville-St-Laurent destination for dim sum, Tong Por’s wide open space with a view onto a parking lot is a lively spot to enjoy the classics: shu mai standup dumplings with pork and shrimp topped with mushrooms and crab roe, guo tie pot sticker dumplings stuffed with pork, and chicken feet (it’s all about the sauce) are popular choices here. A go-to destination for evening receptions and celebrations, at lunchtime there’s a steady stream of carts and, of course, tea." - Ivy Lerner-Frank

I brought my family here to eat. We got the combo B for six people and had a delicious meal! Everything was very tasty, and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely come here again!

On a summer vacation visiting my mom & sister from also my nephew & his LARGE family also in town from Toronto, we came to Tong Por for a family dinner. As it was on the eve of Ste Jean Baptiste Day holiday in Quebec, the restaurant was not as crowded on a Monday night - as people are traveling or camping. We were given a large table with rotation capability for easy food access by everyone, We ordered: * Cantonese Stewed Brisket w/ Daikon * Sweet & Sour Pork Chops * Deep Fried Salt & Pepper Tofu Cubes " Salt & Pepper Fired Chicken * Beef & Gailan in Oyster Sauce * Black Bean Steamed Fish * Crispy Cantonese Chow Mein The food took a little bit time to come out of the kitchen, but once the first one arrived, the rest came rather quickly in succession. This is a Cantonese restaurant, which is one of our preferred Chinese cuisines, so they were very genuine & delicious. The service was quite good, as we (the visitors from. Toronto & California) happened to hit a heat spell in Montreal; temperature outside was in the high 35°C+, so they gave us a water pitcher with plenty of ice in it so no need to bother them constantly with a large party of 10 people. In summary, Ville St Laurent used to have quite a few options when it comes to Chinese cuisines - avoiding the need to drive to Montreal Chinatown & parking headaches, however, due to the current economy and past COVID consequences, Tong Por is miraculously still serving St Laurent & its vicinity. So, if like us, you're craving for some yummy Cantonese cuisines & not wanting to bother fighting the traffic, give Tong Por a try.

Google

Google
I"ll rate 4.4/5.0 . It's even better than the ones in downtown Montreal. Dim sum quality is comparable to Toronto Markham / Richmond Hill

Eating for two person, the service was great and food is good as always! I absolutely love their shrimp dumplings here!! I've been going there since I was young with the family and these past few times I went with my partner or my father or my uncle here. Will come back again for sure whenever for family or wedding events or just to eat the dim sum here! Side note: Price raise up from a lot.

Google
Extremely rude waiters! I recently had dim sum here with my family. We repeatedly asked for refills of water but were ignored. When we paid the bill, we were unhappy with the service but still gave a tip. The waiter then chased us to the door and told us not to come back for such a small tip! Terrible environment, average food, and extremely poor service! We will never be back!

Google
Good Chinese restaurant! I went there during lunch time ( 1-2 pm) to try the dim sum. We were well greeted and seated promptly. The moment we sat we were immediately served by staff. Each one of them had a cart with different plates and asked us if we wanted to be served dishes from these carts. This was the fastest service I have ever seen! We ordered various dishes (around 10). We enjoyed all of them, some even more than the others. I was however surprised by the fact that they serve mayonnaise in a couple of plates. I believe this is not the right condiment to put with Chinese food... I will definitely come back for the dim sum again. I like the variety of dishes they offer and food is delicious. I recommend this place!

Google
We went there as a group of 5 people and the server send us hot meals from bamboo boxes and plates in which we can choose. The foods were alright, although some of them weren't well cooked and lack some spices. The service was pretty quick, as we came here around noon and we got our meals few minutes after we got our table. The atmosphere was great, people were happily chatting, the staffs greeted us positively even though the place was 1/4 occupied. The place is connected to a STM bus line but it doesn't come often.

Yelp
The quality of the ingredients, they are all frozen, not fresh, Do not recommend this place, way too expensive.

Yelp
Great place to have a large gathering at and if you are craving good Chinese food in Montreal. Restaurant is very spacious with good decorations and quick service.

Yelp
Have been to this spot a few times now for Dim Sum. Located in a smaller strip mall with a large dining area that has a Ballroom vibe. On Sunday, we usually get here early (around 11) as they get super busy starting around noon. They have so many options (can be overwhelming in a good way) that are carted out to the tables. You choose the ones you want as the friendly servers mark your ticket with what you've ordered. We went for salt water Cuttlefish, Beef meatballs, Beef Short Ribs, Tripe, shrimp, scallop & pork dumplings. All were tasty with the Dumplings standing out. I had Chicken Feet (the real chicken fingers) for the first time. Not much meat, chewy, savory and more of a delicacy and one to try. Service has always been friendly and upbeat. Overall, solid spot to get the full Dim Sum experience.

Yelp
This restaurant is always pack during daytime for their dim sum menu. Food was ok and service wasn't that great. The restaurant is big but they don't take reservations for daytime so 1st come , 1st serve basis.

Yelp
I love this dim sum place! It's a little bit out of the way and we definitely needed a car to get there but it's well worth the journey. NOTE: the parking in this plaza is NUTS and I highly recommend finding street parking close by instead. Service and ambience : standard dim sum place with people rolling carts around. Everything comes quite quickly and hot. People are fairly friendly and let you know about what's in the carts and show you, and tea is readily picked up and replaced by another cart. Our favourites: THE CHICKEN FEET. I will be the first to say I was never a huge fan of chicken feet until this restaurant. Do get it, you won't regret it! We also really love the fried squid. Tastes fresh and stays hot even though they're rolling around with it exposed.

Yelp
I have been a long time customer and have always enjoyed the food. Last time I went, however, the food was mediocre and the service average. I gave it another try today, and the food was terrible and the service even worse. I explained to the cashier my concerns and exactly why, for the first time, I would not be tipping. I paid my bill and left. Then I heard a waiter shouting and I turned around, only to find him chasing me for a tip. (I was outside the restaurant at this point). Something has changed. The waiters are rude, the food mediocre. Next time I will return to Restaurant Imperial. They are polite, friendly, and their food is outstanding.

Yelp
Dim sum at Tong Por on a Sunday around 11:30, the restaurant was almost full & we nabbed the last table for 2. Greeted by our favourite waiters, tea & ice water arrived quickly. The food came out slowly but steadily & within 40 minutes we had our fill of potstickers (4), fried shrimp dumplings (4), sticky rice in lotus leaves (2) & a heaping pile of fried calamari. Everything was piping hot & delicious. The only issue is parking, or lack thereof. The parking lot is always congested with people blocking aisles, staking out or waiting for someone to leave. Because of ongoing construction on Marcel Laurin, there's no street parking. Thinking that we'd take a chance, we parked in the dirt lot across from the restaurant. The one that indicated NO PARKING and a tow truck picture. No issues.

Yelp
One of the few good dim sum in montreal and I could actually include laval here ;) it's close enough. It's a large hall and if been to many event and parties here. The staff was friendly and polite. It's really all about the experience. Chinese dim sum is not meant to be a fancy 5 star sit down. Expect the unexpected .. I did try the chicken feet and tendons. If you keep an open mind this is truly a great experience. Every time I've gone the place was quite busy. I find when ur at a Chinese restaurant and 3/4 of the restaurant is occupied by Chinese people I know I'm getting an authentic experience. Maybe it mainly because I went with a few of my Chinese friends and they tell me it taste similar to back home ;) The food to me seemed to be fresh not cold and every dish was completely different. Don't worry if you over order .. everyone seems to go home with a bag!

Yelp
My family loves to visit restaurants for dim sum and this is one of the restaurants on rotation. Location: this restaurant sits in the same lot as the grocery store C&T so you can imagine that it can get quite busy. Often times you can't actually find parking in the main lot and will either need to park on the back street or the street across from the parking lot. It is also pretty dangerous so I recommend driving slowly especially if you're not used to this type of environment. The restaurant: it's a banquet style restaurant but it is old. There was construction going on inside while we were eating but it was so loud bad busy (we came on a Friday for lunch) that it didn't really distract us. It does have beautiful chandeliers hanging all over. The food: the dim sum here operates traditionally with women pushing carts around. If you don't speak Chinese, don't worry just ask the ladies what's inside their carts. They are usually very nice and want you to buy so they will describe what it is. Dim sum is from 11:30-2:30 and can get quite busy. We came around 1pm and a lot of the selection was already sold out. The food is usually a hit or miss. They do make their food in house so when it's good it's one of the best I've ever tried. However if it's not good it's only mediocre but not terrible. I do reccomend a visit if you want dim sum but don't want to go to China Town

Yelp
Good place for weekend Dim Sum and family group lunch. Busy place during the weekend No reservation during the day Typical Chinese food with reasonable price.

Yelp
It's my favorite Dim Sum spot in Montreal so far. The service is pretty attentive and the dim sum cart ladies are pretty friendly. It's also got an airy, open layout that's not too noisy. Food wise, it's hard to compare with Toronto dim sum (i'm biased), but I thought the dumpling dishes were good. The skin on the har gow and fun gor were nice. The fried crullers were a bit on the oily side, but we did enjoy the congee. Overall, a decent dim sum spot that I would revisit.

Yelp
Good was delicious! Very good service. It was a little loud at times because there was a wedding going on on the other side CB of ce the ce restaurant

Yelp
When my friends and I arrived at the restaurant we were informed that there wasn't dim sum anymore for the day and that we'd have to order soon as the kitchen was closing for the break between lunch and dinner. We quickly made our decisions and the food was brought out promptly. I've only had pork in the salty spice before and not beef. It was just as good except that I found a lot of the meat was mostly fat. Since we arrived at the end of the lunch rush the restaurant staff was cleaning up and the vacuum was quite loud for a period of time.

Yelp
Dropped by here for some dim sum as I wanted to do some shopping close by. The place is located in a parking mall where parking fills up very fast because of this restaurant and the C&T grocery store in the same parking mall so I was forced to find parking on the street about a block away in a free residential parking area. The way it works here is that you will have dim sum items pushed around on carts and if you are interested in an item on the cart, you just ask the lady pushing the cart for the item(s). She will then put the item(s) on your table and put a little check mark on this paper located on your table indicating the number of items you picked at the price of the item. Generally they will announce the names of the items in Cantonese and Mandarin. For English and French, they will sometimes show the item or might say it in those languages depending on the language fluency of the lady pushing the cart. I can understand simple Cantonese so ordering and understanding what was said wasn't an issue. Even if it is an issue, when the ladies will show you what is on their cart and if it looks interesting/appetizing, you just ask for it. I found the food to be good but pricier than similar dim sum items in Chinatown. Almost all of the items that I ordered were $5 per plate (the standard har gow (4 pieces), siu mai (4 pieces), small egg tarts (3 pieces), spring rolls (3 pieces), etc.). The only 2 items which I had which turned out to be less at $3.75 was the steamed pork buns (3 pieces) and this type of crispy taro puffs/dumplings (3 pieces) that I enjoy. I wasn't overly impressed with the steamed pork buns but everything else was very good. Service was decent and the food was good. I will generally come here when I want to have dim sum and don't want to have to either drive or take public transit to Chinatown.

Yelp
A friend recommended Tong Por as a dim sum restaurant outside of Chinatown. They are located in a run down strip mall. When you first arrive, the outside looks like some hole in a wall restaurant. However, once you're inside, the interior actually looks nice. We got a table right away since it was a weekday. They didn't let us choose a tea so we got the standard jasmine. This is cart service so you just sit back and wait for the ladies to bring the food to you. Food started rolling in right away. It was fresh and hot. Loved the har gow. The skin was done right and it didn't t fall apart when you pick it up. Shrimp rice roll was also excellent. Did not care for the cha siu bao. The pork was colored neon red. The egg roll also has meat in it - which I didn't like. Service was friendly. We'd definitely come back!

Yelp
For years we visited this restaurant in Chinatown before they moved to St Laurent. I see that they have some of the same staff which is nice to see. Their dim sum selection is great and very fresh, you will also see unique items you won't find in Chinatown. Lots of parking and tons of tables.

Yelp
Came here with my family. I think it's my 3rd time. My family almost always wants the same thing at Chinese restaurants (sometimes slight variations). They decided on hot and sour soup, General Tao chicken, beef and Chinese broccoli, Cantonese chow main, fried rice. The portions were huge! And the food was actually really good. Service wise, the waiters had great personalities. They like to joke around. Only negative was that the service was too fast! They brought out all the main courses while we were just starting on our soup. Other than that, all was good.

Yelp
Super slow. Unfriendly staff. Virtually no service at all. Taste not bad though if you can sustain the service.

Yelp
Was here for a wedding. It can look quite pretty if the walls are all dressed in white & uplights. It's amazing what you can do w/ lighting. It was probably quite hard to manage all the dishes with approximately 50 tables as some dishes came in different order. Usually for a Chinese 10 course meal there's an 'order' but does it matter? It looks the same inside. Wait staff were very friendly and efficient. Menu included Lobster salad with cashew nuts - this was nice and reminded me of a thai mango salad Fresh steam scallops - nice and chewy Deep fried shrimp balls and crab balls - I liked the crab balls but not so much the shrimp "Shark fin" soup with crab meat - needs more crab meat or 'shark fin' Abalone saute with king mushrooms - by this dish I was already full. The abalone was kind of hard to chew. Steam dry scallops saute with garlic - the scallop was good Steam salty chicken - very tasty and salty Steam greenbass fish with soya sauce - this was served to us last but it was delicious Fried rice with dry scallops and shrimp - my favourite Cantonese style noodles - average Lots of parking at the plaza.

Yelp
I went here for dim sum with my sister and a friend on a weekday morning. We had a number of dishes: shumai, har gao, cheun fan with shrimp, char siu bao, taro puffs, and a few others that I was too stuffed to sample. I was surprised that the baked char siu bao had a sugary coating on top, something that was new to me, but since I have a sweet palate I enjoyed it. Otherwise, I would say the quality and variety is comparable to restaurants in Chinatown, and even with over-ordering and having left-overs to take home the price was reasonable. There is free parking in the lot, however you'll want to get there early if you don't want to be driving around and waiting for a spot to open up (easily the worse part of going there).

Julia D.

Yelp
I've been here a few times with my family, I CRAVE dim sum. The service is fine, par for the course I think. The dumplings are amazing!! Please note, peanut dumplings doesn't mean dumplings with peanut sauce... very different

Yelp
The second you enter Tong Por, you notice the vast amount of space. From what I've heard about the place, you could be waiting for quite the while on peak days. This was a Thursday noon hour service, so seating was affordable. The waiters, who were the ones who seated the customers, made sure that all new tables were seated closer to the window area. You'd think that you would get the chance to sit down and acclimatize yourself to the restaurant, but that's when the action started. I swear, I wasn't even seated yet and we already had something like 3 dishes on the table. The one thing to note when you're doing Dim Sum is the language barrier. If you have someone who can communicate with the ladies pushing the carts, you should be fine. You're also quite covered if you have someone who knows what's on the carts. But, if you should find yourself completely shut out of those two situations, patience will become the biggest virtue. While I knew what most of the dishes were, the ones that were new to me cause a little bit of hesitation. However, we got everything we came for. For anyone who is trying Dim Sum for the first time, you have to realize that there is a learning curve. There is a lot of hit and miss that goes into this. If you don't know what to get, you will feel lost. It might seem like everything is going on too fast. But, with more experience, you'll learn how to pick and choose what you want to get the best out of it. Tong Por, which serves Dim Sum daily until 3 p.m., is one of the top places to go to for that service, in my opinion. You'll find that the quality of their offerings rival anything you can get in Chinatown. Its location allows it to cater to people who cannot necessarily travel so far. For a time, you'll think that you're deep in Chinatown, enjoying the best of what it has to offer.

Yelp
This review is only for the dim sum service. Food: Varied Dim Sum selection, in my personal opinion, better than the Dim Sum options in downtown. Always hot when it comes to the table, ye! Service: Usually fairly quickly but sometimes takes time to pay the bill Price: Average price Ambiance: Bigger space and better lighting, and the rest... well there will always be tons of people and noise at any Dim Sum place...
google avatar

Bill H.

Yelp
To start off, the soup was near perfection. I particularly adored the free deserts offered. The jello and the taro sweet were pleasant. However, the music and the noise was not bearable: there was a wedding and the performer was practicing with an empty audience. I LOVED the cashews. Every bite was scrumptious and a taste of heaven.

Yelp
ATMOSPHERE: It's a pretty big restaurant. Typical Chinese-looking restaurant. The parking lot gets pretty busy at peak hours and is a little bit hard to navigate. FOOD: I always enjoy the food here. Whether it's Dim Sum or if I'm coming for dinner, the food is always to my liking. Although I will say that their meat doesn't always taste the freshest. I have yet to find a dish that I do not like. Probably my go-to spot for Chinese food when I'm with family. I do find the dishes a bit greasy but that's normal for this kind of cuisine. Another plus is that their portions are quite generous. PRICE: Prices are standard, nothing TOO expensive on the menu (for lunch and dinner). I'd say the main dishes range from 11-16$ at dinner time. Dim Sum tends to add up quickly to just be aware of your paper slip when they check off ordered items. SERVICE: It's your typical Chinese service. Not the best but it's what I expect from a Chinese restaurant. Some are friendlier than others. They do what they have to do.

Yelp
Great food choices and prices than going to Chinatown..closer to Laval and save stress on parking spots.

Yelp
We had a group of 25 who came. While the food was good, we had one waiter out of our 3 who behaved in a prejudiced unprofessional manner. The waiter asked us if we were from Africa, asked us why we didn't finish the chicken, etc. Though our family is diverse, we have Chinese origins, which changed his behavior once he realized it. These comments should have never been made. Food was good, service needs some work.

Yelp
we went for dimsum on father's day .craziest day of the year for parking as we were only 3 we got a table right away.numbers were in the 200's for big families hovering around the front door service from the cart ladies was great dumplings were super . my favorite is the fried shrinp dumplings that come with home made mayonnaise , superb i have also ordered from the menu and even not on the menu like seame beef which was amazing prices are really great and portions are huge

Yelp
Wow and wow, after many years living in California and Las Vegas, I would have never imagined myself finding a great Chinese restaurant in Montreal, the place where Asian population is not that much. Tong Por, you proved me wrong. My extended family and I visit the restaurant on Saturday and the place was packed, even though it's a pretty big restaurant. We ordered a bunch of food (salt & pepper lobster, prawn, razor clams, Chinese broccoli beef, and many more.) All the food came out hot and they were all excellence. The razor clam, which I tried for the first time, was nicely cooked and juicy, the lobster and prawns was crispy and not oily at all. Everything was sooooooooooo good, I wanted to keep eating even though I was stuffed. Want to know what was even more amazing? All that food that fed 15 adults very well only cost less than $250 bucks ( $ 1 CA dollar = $1.10 US dollar). Wow and wow. If I ordered the same thing in California or Las Vegas, it would have been over 400 bucks and the quality wouldn't even be that good. By the way, Tong Por also served Dim Sum. Their Dim Sum is on the average side. So if you come to Tong Por, go for their menu items.

Yelp
Really big place with lots of locals frequenting it which is always a good sign! The cart ladies came by and were mostly unable to speak any language I could speak... but I still tried a variety of Dim Sum and overall I really haven't enjoyed this type of cuisine at all. Maybe I simply can't find my niche for this food. In particular I didn't find some plates very fresh and I definitely noticed an unattended cart with food that was left unattended about 40 minutes or so before they put the served it to people. The ladies who moved the carts took many breaks to talk while we waited about for more food. We ate a decent amount (AYCE) and it cost us about $15. Not for me. Won't be back. Hopefully I can find a place with decent Dim Sum at some point.

Yelp
This was my first experience with dim sum, and I was taken aback right away by the size of the restaurant. There was a massive lineup as well, we were a group of 5 and we waited about 20 minutes before being seated. Once seated, we grabbed pretty much everything that the servers offered us. That included shrimp, chicken feet, beef, greens, crab... I enjoyed every single thing I had besides the chicken feet. My only complaint was we asked for water and soda at least 3 times before our servers finally brought some, which was right about when we were already finished our meal. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend's family (who are Mauritian) on a Sunday night for his mom's birthday dinner. The decor is decent, nothing too outstanding. Although the place was only 1/3 full, it took the waiters awhile to acknowledge us. Five minutes of waiting around later, we were finally seated, without menus. I had to go over to another table where they were all set on and picked up some. A waiter finally came over to bring us water and although we asked for utensils, as only chopsticks are offered on the tables, he walked away with them in hand instead of giving them to us. He finally came back to bring them to us, and took our order. We ordered the seafood soup, crab balls (YUM), beef & Chinese broccoli, crispy chicken, chow fun with black bean sauce, chicken chow mein, shrimp fried rice, Cantonese-style lobster and just regular steamed rice. We had asked to have the crispy chicken and steamed rice served simultaneously, but the waiter got all in a huff and said he can only bring things out as they are ready from the kitchen. Our food started to trickle out slowly but surely, and here is what I thought; - The crab balls, although were pretty tasty, were a lot smaller than say at Kam Fung (for 3$ a piece you'd think they'd offer a little more sustenance). - The beef & Chinese broccoli was pretty good, although the meat could've been less tendon-y. Good flavouring though. - The crispy chicken was a let-down; it was pretty dry, and didn't taste too fresh. - The chow fun with black bean sauce was pretty delicious; it was my first time having it and I enjoyed it. - I have nothing but good things to say about the chicken chow mein; it had a good mix of crispy noodles and fully cooked ones. And the veggies weren't soggy as they sometimes end up being. - The shrimp fried rice was pretty good, mind you they were pretty cheap with the shrimp; they sprinkled maybe 10 mini shrimp throughout the whole dish. I don't eat lobster, and didn't have any seafood soup, so I can't critique those. I was really hoping to get the lentil soup for dessert (soooo good), but, and I know this is stereotypical, I have a feeling because I was at the table (I'm Caucasian, and my boyfriend's family, as I mentioned is Chinese-Mauritian) the waiter brought orange slices and fortune cookies. So all in all, it was ok, but I will stick with my tried and true Kam Fung.

Yelp
More like a one star compared to china or HK but it's the closest dim sum to our homer also service was a minus one star

Yelp
I never go to Tong Por for anything other than dim sum. But this time, it was my nephew's first birthday and my cousin had the party here. Wow what a pleasant surprise! The food was way better then expected. We had shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings as well as king crab as amuse-bouche. Then came the 10 course meal. Yup... 10! Everything was good and came out hot! We started off with won ton soup. Then some fried shrimp and pork patties, bird's nest with meats, seafood and vegetables. Then came the mix salt and pepper seafood, roasted chicken, ginger and scallion lobster, shrimp fried rice, some green vegetables, sweet and sour fish and finally cantonese chow mein!!! It was good! We were stuffed! We were happy! Oh ya... Service was great as well! After eating at Tong Por for many, many years (since my childhood), i've finally discovered a whole new restaurant!

Yelp
We were in the mood for some Dim Sum and I had heard that this is one of the better places outside of Brossard and Chinatown. You can tell that they must do a pretty steady Chinese wedding-party business with the stage motif in the front! Decor inside is your classic Chinese restaurant! This place is huge and cavernous but we had an excellent selection of pretty much everything you can expect: fried, steamed, greasy noodles, chicken feet, tripe, har gow siu mai, char siu baau! Carts kept rolling around the whole time we were there and different selections! No nonsense attitude by the cart ladies and the owner is pretty much par for the course at many establishments and this was no difference! Trekking down to Brossard is a PITA for me so this may be my Dim Sum fix when not in Toronto as these people seem to know what they are doing!

Yelp
The best dim sum in Montreal with service literally à la cart!! I am very picky with dim sum being Chinese and their dishes and assortment are great and of good quality.

Yelp
Amazing dim sum but impossible parking on weekends! Also quite affordable; we ate like kings and walked out of there with $16 ea. in damages. Worth every penny and more!

Yelp
We did not want to drive to Chinatown with all the construction going on in Montreal. After searching the web, we found an old article in CyberPresse about Tong Por. We called and they were opened for Dim Sum. Located in the middle of the Little Maghreb area (mosques, etc.), Tor Pong did not stick out. Once in, we found a huge restaurant with loads of tables. When you go eat at a restaurant like Tong Por, it's to share a good table, talk and laugh, read a newspaper, and share these delicious little dumplings. The carts, Hong Kong style, are loaded with delicious bites, the calmars, the tripes and hineycomb, the chicken feet, the shrimp dumplings. Portions are well balanced. The noise level is typical of these sorts of restaurants but you feel confident that the food is super fresh and delicious. We'll be back!

Yelp
Good dim sum. Avoid going during peak hour (weekends midday) or you will not enjoy it.

Yelp
The food was good. Was going to give 4 stars but the service was bad, the guy in the cashier refused to split our bill saying why make things complicated when we could split it by ourselves, so fine, we'll compromise to please him, anyway we're just paying customers, right?

Yelp
Dimsums are not bad. But dinner was poorly done. The chicken and duck were really dry. Portions were small for the price. Our waiter was good but others were sloppy. It has more of a south Asia taste to the food and not really good Cantonese favour. Would I go back? Not really want to. But since they are the only one with handy cap access, there is no other choice:)

Yelp
I have eaten at here with my family for over 6 years. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not. Their dim sum is okay, but there are some stand out dishes such as stir-fried water spinach, crispy chicken or vegetable & tofu chow mein, etc. The only thing is that you have to watch carefully for the foods they serve on that day. One time I found a worm in my stir-fried snowpeas.

Yelp
Good Chinese restaurant. The dishes are not very authentic but taste is very salty and addictive so very good nonetheless. The dining hall is very big and there is plenty of room for very large groups on short notice even. The servers are quirky but friendly.

Yelp
It is probably the worst Dim Sum experience I have ever had. Last time I was there half the fish were dying in the tank.. Totally avoid anything coming out of there. The carpets and bathroom are filthy. The kitchen looked unclean when I peaked through through the door. Given all that, I am not sure how clean the food is? I guess you take risk eating there. You think that management/owner learned something from being closed down and fined by the health inspectors, well apparently not. Final insult, the person greeting was totally rude and full of herself. Notwithstanding, that is virtually no parking. Never going back in this lifetime.

Yelp
Good dim-sum, plenty of variety and the carts keep coming. That being said it is very much out of the way from the west or downtown. Much preffered the old Tong Por in Chinatown or Ruby Rouge which is still pretty good and more convenient.
