The 20 Best Restaurants & Bars In Singapore 2024

"In Singapore’s world of hot pot, there are big-name chains, quiet neighborhood spots, and places like Tong Xin Ru Yi. Instead of plastic tables or mismatched furniture, Tong Xin Ru Yi kind of looks like the set of an old-school kung fu film, with bamboo screens and rattan chairs. When it comes to the food, expect rich, flavorful broths and an extensive list of hotpot items, like black bone chicken, shrimp paste, and tasty mutton ribs. The sides are also worth exploring, including the marinated spicy beef sticks, the shake-shake pork (their vastly superior answer to popcorn chicken), and tempura-style fried mint leaves. Absolutely amazing hotpot experience! The ingredients were fresh, the broth was flavorful, and the variety of options, from meats to veggies to noodles , was fantastic. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed the whole time. I also loved the sauce bar so many combinations to try! Perfect place for a cozy, fun meal with friends or family. Can’t wait to come back!

Golden chicken soup looks luxurious but wasn’t the taste that I expected. It was more pumpkin-y than chicken. Nevertheless it was still nourishing. Ingredients are presented very nicely. Love the chicken cold dish. The restaurant is clean fresh ventilated ukke Other hotpot stores

As a Chinese traveler who’s spent countless meals hunting for the real taste of home, I can say with full confidence that this place is as authentic as it gets. The meat selection is superb—every slice of marbled beef, hand-cut lamb and silky chicken is impeccably fresh and flavorful, the sort of quality that reminds you of top-tier hotpot joints in Chengdu or Beijing. If you’re eager to experience traditional Chinese hotpot the way locals actually enjoy it, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. From the rich, slow-simmered bone broths and house-made dipping sauces to the carefully sourced vegetables and handmade noodles, every detail is executed with the same care you’d find in China’s culinary capitals.

Had a lunch get together here with some friends. It also made me realize how challenging it is to capture food photos for hot pots. Both the cooked food and hot pot items were decent, but I thought it was a little pricey. But I have no qualms paying the same amount at another place for a set lunch / dinner, so this is more of a "me" issue.

Had a great meal on mother's day. The food was absoluely delicious. Mini lobster with garlic is a must order. Broths were tasty and comes with ingredients. Meat and vegetables are fresh. Hk milk tea is almost the real deal. Service is top notch. Place is indoor and very well air conditioned. Definitely will come back and try other dishes.

Tong Xin Ru Yi delivered one of the best hotpot experiences I’ve ever had. The ingredients were incredibly fresh — from the premium meats to the flavorful broths and wide variety of dipping sauces. The staff were warm, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The ambiance was cozy yet lively, perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. You can really taste the quality and care they put into every dish. Will definitely be back again — highly recommended!

Yelp
One of the more original hot pot restaurants around. Sober and beautiful interior. Delish and innovative soups and dishes, eg. garlic oysters, rabbit, frog legs, kidney, tripes, in addition to the 'normal' offerings. Tong Xin Ru Yi is the Ruby King Kong of hot pots in Singapore.

Yelp
Probably my favourite authentic Chinese hot pot place with amazing side dishes. My favourite is the garlicky yabbies great service esp if you're a regular though I've never had bad service there. The aircon is a tad cold so bring a jacket. Oh! Don't forget to ask for aprons... it can get deliciously messy
