The 20 Best Restaurants & Bars In Singapore 2024
"In Singapore’s world of hot pot, there are big-name chains, quiet neighborhood spots, and places like Tong Xin Ru Yi. Instead of plastic tables or mismatched furniture, Tong Xin Ru Yi kind of looks like the set of an old-school kung fu film, with bamboo screens and rattan chairs. When it comes to the food, expect rich, flavorful broths and an extensive list of hotpot items, like black bone chicken, shrimp paste, and tasty mutton ribs. The sides are also worth exploring, including the marinated spicy beef sticks, the shake-shake pork (their vastly superior answer to popcorn chicken), and tempura-style fried mint leaves. Google Review Draft Assistant said:We had lunch at Tong Xin Ru Yi Traditional Hot Pot and skipped the hotpot this time to try their dishes, and everything was impressive. The sour flavoured bean curd fish was our favourite with a bright savoury broth, tender fish and silky bean curd. The fish skin salad was crisp and refreshing with just the right spice level. The sliced beef in chilli sauce was tender with balanced seasoning. A great meal and we will be back for the hotpot next time.

This place came highly recommended by some of my colleagues. Truly did not disappoint. The service and food was amazing! We were invited into a private room for spending above sgd300 which was a really nice touch. I'd say order the fried egg and the fried mint leaves. Definitely worth coming back here..

This hotpot restaurant is absolutely amazing! The broth is rich and flavorful, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the presentation is beautiful. Every dish feels carefully prepared, from the tender slices of meat to the crisp vegetables and delicious side dishes. They even serve fresh hairy crabs, which makes the experience even more special. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a hearty meal with friends or family. Definitely one of the best hotpot experiences I’ve ever had!

Food is fresh so justifies price point. 汤底真的够浓。Spacious and quiet environment good for talking, and they space diners out. Service staff are very attentive and give good recommendations. Please order their fried egg 走地鸡蛋 very sinful but nice. Apologies for incomplete egg we ate three quarters before i took the photo.

The hotpot is very enjoyable with quality food. Received warm and good service from the staff who was managing our order. Our best order was the milk tea and wagyu A5 sliced beef - it melts in your mouth!

Food is delicious–the snakehead fish was cooked perfectly. But I couldn't quite place if I liked the tomato soup which was sweet and yet salty. The tofu in the soup was excellent. Adding the yuba was a good idea. The prawn paste fritters were also delicious and its fragrance was enticing when it arrived! The lotus root appetiser had a very subtle flavour.

Yelp
One of the more original hot pot restaurants around. Sober and beautiful interior. Delish and innovative soups and dishes, eg. garlic oysters, rabbit, frog legs, kidney, tripes, in addition to the 'normal' offerings. Tong Xin Ru Yi is the Ruby King Kong of hot pots in Singapore.

Yelp
Probably my favourite authentic Chinese hot pot place with amazing side dishes. My favourite is the garlicky yabbies great service esp if you're a regular though I've never had bad service there. The aircon is a tad cold so bring a jacket. Oh! Don't forget to ask for aprons... it can get deliciously messy
