"At Tongabezi’s private Sindabezi Island, guests have Victoria Falls all to themselves. Situated on the Zambezi river waterfront, this luxury camp, with just five romantic chalets, is all about adventure by day and indulgence by night. Test your heart rate while the sun's up with white water rafting, helicopter flights and, if you’re really brave, a bungee jump from Victoria Falls. Then come back down to earth with a slow drift down the river on a sunset cruise, followed by a dinner on an old wooden boat. And while waking up to a playful baby rhino is unforgettable, nothing beats the experience of having a personal valet throughout your stay, who will make sure a warm bubble bath has been run for you to perfectly time with your return from exploring."

The most heavenly and amazing place! We were met at the airport by Lawrence and Lyson in luxurious transport and arrived at Tongabezi Lodge 25 mins later to a pure oasis. The knowledge and answers to all our questions integrated us into the family straight away. We were under the care of Brenda who was simply the best. After 20 years at the Lodge, there was nothing she didn't know. We stayed in the Nut House which was divine with its private pool overlooking the Zambezi. The trip to the Livingstone Island and the Devil's pool way exceeded our expectations and the breakfast was really excellent. The sunset cruise, without giving away the surprise, was the simply wonderful watching, and hearing, the hippos, very special. The after bloom of the sunset is one we have never witnessed before. All the staff were exceptional and the service was absolutely wonderful. The food was really excellent with Chef resourcing everything locally including all fruit and vegetables grown in their own garden plot on site.|We were fortunate to visit the school which was in full rehearsal for Independence Day - what an honour and the kids were inspirational. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff and Green Safaris clearly look after their staff incredibly well as they all know each other through the cross training across all their camps - we stayed in four of their properties and the staff all asked after one another - we felt part of the family!|A must visit either at the beginning or the end of your safari trip as it's pure luxury; a very, very special place. Thank you to all the team.

Out of all the places we went to in Africa, Tongabezi was certainly our most memorable. The people are amazing, and you always feel well taken care of here. The food, sites, drinks, and exceptional service makes this the most amazing place we have ever visited. Jakob was so incredibly kind to us, we wanted to take him home with us. We have a son with Autism, and everyone treated him so kindly.

Spent my birthday at the Tongabezi Nut House. Everything was so awesome from my room, the view, the infinity plunge pool. The service from the staff was exceptional, the food, cocktails, sunset cruise, dinner on the sampan, the game drive, bubble baths... So much was done to make my birthday extra special. Will definitely be going back. xxx

Tongabezi Lodge is truly remarkable. Set along the Zambezi River, the views alone are worth the trip—watching the sun set over the river from our private deck was unforgettable. We stayed in the Dog House, a beautifully designed villa with its own pool and incredible river views, offering both luxury and an intimate connection to nature.||The river cruises at sunset, gliding past hippos and watching the African sky turn vibrant hues, were magical. Beyond the beauty, Tongabezi’s heart lies in its people. The staff’s warmth, paired with the lodge’s commitment to supporting local education through the Tujatane School, creates an experience that feels both personal and purposeful. The organic produce from their farm made every meal feel fresh and thoughtful. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit Livingstone Island—an adventure that brings you face to face with the majestic Victoria Falls.||Tongabezi hits every mark of natural beauty, meaningful connection, and pure peace. Luxury but with real heart and soul—it’s a place to truly experience Zambia and its phenomenal people.

The Tongabezi Lodge was fantastic. The staff are the happiest people I have ever met and they go above and beyond. It is in a quiet location, all the rooms are private, big and spacious and having your own driver to take you out and about or fishing on the Zambezi makes this a special experience. Brian took us wherever we wanted to go. They made us feel like family and rock stars with their attention to detail. Would love to go back.

Wonderful lodge. Service and food were great and swimming in the Devil’s Pool was amazing! The accommodations are unique and each of our friends was thrilled with the different suites. They were spacious, comfortable and decor was really cool! A great kick off to a safari. Visiting the local school was also interesting and impressive. Boat rides on the Zambezi were nice and comfortable. Having sundowners at the island bar was also fun. Highly recommend this as a destination!

What an amazing place! From the astonishingly good service to the beautiful accommodations, we could not have been happier at Tongabezi. It was certainly the highlight of our 4-week African adventure. We were under the loving care of Agatha, and she was simply the best. We also were totally taken by the story of the start of the Tongabezi school and were privileged to spend time there and meet some of the faculty and children. Totally recommend this for other visitors. Overall, a very, very special place.
