Very good large ice cream shop in and out of the way area. They have a fairly wide selection of unique ice creams. Oh flavors that we have tried have been excellent. Highly recommend

"As busy as it gets," slogan is correct. This place is down to earth. The settings of the swings bring it home. My grandchildren loved it here. The ice cream is awesome. My son missed his name, called out by one day (yesterday) on their Facebook page, and no, they do not honor it. But we enjoyed dessert here on Father's Day. FREE SAMPLES, with no problem.

This place was amazing. Their flavor options were fascinating, but I ultimately stuck with basic cookie dough. It was probably one of the best basic cookie dough ice creams I've had though. I also tried the blueberry cheesecake flavor, and it was unlike any other ice cream I've had before. I will be returning soon!

Had a blast! We went for my brothers birthday and had a birthday icecream party! You get to make your own icecream with a group of other folks. How fun. The flavors people came up with were awesome. The hosts aka owners are so sweet and welcoming. We will be back! Oh and whatever is in the caramel crack mixin is fantastic! Oh yea and you can even put alcohol in your icecream BYOB!

We love coming here for ice cream. The caramel crack is my favorite. The Plano location is larger if you have more people in your group.

So, my husband and I went to try out a new ice cream shop that our daughter told us about. Tongue in Cheek Ice Cream has two locations: one in Richardson and the one we went to in Plano. The owner, Missy, is very welcoming and friendly, and the shop is clean and organized. They have these cool swing seats at some of the tables; kids will love them! We tasted several flavors and each one was fresh and full of flavor, and they make their ice cream onsite. It’s SO good! My favorites were the “Caramel Crack” and the “Banana Pudding”. DELICIOUS! Go and sample them for yourself. You can’t go wrong with any of their flavors, and we will most definitely be going back! 😋

Chill (pun intended) place with cool (pun intended) vibes. Highly recommended!

The girls are super friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Many awesome flavors. Grab a flight of your favorite 4 and a pint to take home. My favorite place for sweet cheat on my diet.

What a surprise! The outside of this place is not a good representation of what Tongue In Cheek has to offer. When my hubby chose this place I wasn't thrilled as I'm dairy free and most dairy free options are sherbet (bleck!) but I went along since the whole family was going. I was blown away! Not only was the inside spacious and clean but their non dairy options were impressive. I tasted a couple and settled on the chocolate. It was wonderful! Creamy, smooth and tasty. The sweet girl at the counter obliged our kids with samples and we all happily enjoyed our ice cream while swinging - YES they have swings inside! This a great place for families, a late night treat, lunch or just because!

So delicious!! We came in and got two medium icecream cups. The staff was very nice and helpful in choosing and trying the flavors. It's very clean inside and spacious with a good amount of seating available. I loved the two flavors I got in my medium cup (blueberry cheese cake and Caramel crack) highly reccomend these two flavors! How to order is pick a size or cone and then choose your flavors. You can choose different flavors in the same cup.

With the Texas heat and you want to take the family for some ice cream this is the place. The environment is cool. They also support Plano East Football Booster Club. Go support this business This is the spot if you want some amazing ice cream. I had the Carmel Crunch. This is a really neat ice cream shop. The service was amazing and it's very clean.

This place was the place to be on a Tuesday night!! Or any hot summer days probably. The store was popping when we came at 9 PM, and it's probably because of their amazing ice-cream. My sister has been fangirling about this place opening near us but I'm not a huge ice-cream fan so I didn't care much. The workers were friendly, and they have so many different flavors ranging from chocolate, creamy to fruity! I got their baby size, which is perfect for me. There were only two workers, but they moved fast and made sure everyone receive great customer service. I asked to sample some flavors despite the line, and they were nice about it. I love that they let me get 2 flavors for the baby cup, which isn't typical. My sister got the single and it was too much for her. They really do fill their cup up. The space was big, but there weren't many seats. They have some swing chairs dangling from the top, and regular tables. All the seats on the swing were taken so we just ate at a table. My sister told me it's not easy to sit on those because she fell last time she went, and to my surprise, I watched someone fell on their butt from trying to sit lmao. Asides from that, the flavors were good-- they're not too sweet or plain. It was perfectly in the middle with lots of chunks (I got butter pecan and caramel crack). Glad to support another local place in the area!

It's Tongue In Cheek, baby. It's the best ice cream around. Plano welcomes you with open arms. This location is much bigger and open than the Richardson location. The setup is more modern and illuminated, allowing more tables and seats. The swings here are interesting. They're so far from the table that no kid can eat their ice cream from the table. Even adults have to lean very forward to reach. They're also much higher. Is the design intended for young adults and not little kids? I can see the logic that this protects little ones from swinging right into the tables given they're hanging from a much taller ceiling than Richardson. As an adult, I like that I can swing now.

Delicious and creamy ice cream!!!! Greeted by friendly employees that explained the different sections of flavors. I had the cappuccino crunch and it was so good. I also tried the banana pudding and it tasted exactly like homemade banana pudding. Yum yum yum !

I came in yesterday specifically because of a promotion they were running to give 2022 graduates a free scoop if they brought in their graduation tassel. I did so, bringing in my class of 2022 college tassel, but they refused to honor the promotion, saying it only applied to highschool graduates, although the post they made about the promotion did not indicate that anywhere. Nothing turns me off from a business more than failure to honor their own promotions. The newly opened location is very spacious.

Disguised as a mediocre strip mall ice cream joint, hides this sassy gem. My daughters name popped up as one of the "names of the day" and that gets you one very generous scoop of free ice cream. The staff was friendly, helpful, and patient with our sampling. Mmm, so many choices!! There were at least half a dozen dairy free options, which is awfully nice, don't you think? But we landed on cookies and cream. I've been thinking about it everyday since. Did I mention there were swings? My kid thought it was magical to eat ice cream inside while swinging.

So this ice cream truck came to my neighborhood and I was super excited to try it out. I had one scoop of the banana pudding ice cream and it was DELICIOUS!! It had the perfect amount of sweetness and the texture was velvety smooth! I figured the vanilla wafers may be soggy, but surprisingly, they held up perfectly throughout the entire scoop and the slight crunch was on point!! This was the perfect treat for these blazing hot summer days. Absolutely would recommend and I look forward to trying other things on the menu!

I had heard really good things about this place and their other locations so I was excited to try their new East Plano shop. The whole staff was excited as it was their Grand opening event. The energy was a bit chaotic but overall service was good. The shop feels a bit odd. The building is a bit big and uninviting despite the swinging chairs and benches that try to make this place unique and playful. I believe this used to be an AnytimeFitness location and it somehow still feels like a repurposed gym space with plain decoration and lack of personality. Now for what matters...the ice cream! The ice cream itself is not what I expected. I tried a few flavors and they were all just too sweet.... No one in my party was able to finish their ice creams because of just how sweet they were... in fact, the sweetness becomes so overpowering that it eventually overwhelms the flavor altogether. Not even the Waffle cone was able to save my ice cream choice as the cone felt a bit chewy and plain. Flavors are not as original as most reviewers made them sound and without mix-in options it is hard to customize your experience here. I was underwhelmed. Overall this is an okay icecream shop but unless you really have sweet tooth I wouldn't recommend.

Big fan of this place! It was my first time at the Plano location and had a lot of fun. Love the amount of space inside and the "swings" in multiple places. Ice cream was great as always and even got to meet the owner! Will definitely be back:)

This is an excellent ice cream place. So many flavors from to choose from. We tried Strawberry (sorbet), Blackberry champagne, coconut, caramel crack. The Blackberry champagne and caramel crack were the best! the prices are very reasonable compared to other fancy places where they charge $5-6 per scoop. At the time of our visit, we paid $3.75 for one scoop cup and 4.75 for double scoop! their scoops are large!

They've updated the menu to include a larger size and it is awesome exactly the heavy sweet treat that I'm looking for at the end of a long day!

Delicious ice cream choice- all the flavors are family favorites. On special days we come here and our daughter loves the swinging chairs. We love how they also have names of the day. Great service and awesome space. Will always be an ice cream favorite.

Best cookies & cream ice cream hands down. Price: is decently priced for some ice. It's priced fair compared to other places Was surprised how good the ice cream was.

Best flavors. Better than any chain or mass-production. It's all I eat now. Friendly and generous owner and staff. Very clean inside with fun swinging benches.

Love the drive thru! Quick and easy. They give really big scoops! The one night I went was super busy and the lady who took my order was probably over it and ready to go home so the service was okay.

Brett is doing an amazing job with perfecting his non-dairy/vegan ice cream. We got some to go and I had to call up there to confirm that it was vegan and didn't get mixed up. Thanks, Brett!

Came in for an after dinner ice cream stop on the way home from a long day. The Caramel Crack in a waffle cone. Wow. That's really all I have to say. It's tremendous. Homemade toffee that is the staple of this flavor. Couldn't get enough. Will becoming back again and again.

This is a very spacious ice cream shop! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about each flavor. I tried the cappuccino crunch and caramel crack. The cappuccino crunch was good but a little bit too much coffee flavor in my opinion. Caramel crack was also good but the more I ate it, the saltier it tasted. I love ice cream but I couldn't finish my scoop! My husband loved his flavors - banana pudding and bourbon bean. I would definitely come back to try more flavors!

Good ice cream and love the different flavors they have. The service was kind of spotty though. We were in line to place our order and they kept on skipping over us to help the people behind us. We were part of a group that was at the register paying but couldn't finish because we were still waiting to take our order. The cashier kept looking at the other employees annoyed because our group was waiting and it was holding up the rest of the line. We kept trying to get their attention but they kept skipping over us. Overall, it was good ice cream but I'm not sure if I'd go again because of how long it took just to get ice creamX

Lots of great flavors and taste I got a "flight", as it was nice to try 4-different flavors, but everyone else with me got a "1-scoop" waffle cone that was full! Like literally about the same volume as my 4-scoops, I'd definitely get the one scoop next time, as it was a lot more for your money, but I get you have to pay for the extra time to acquire 4-different flavors and the diversity, it was good either way & a great way to try several flavors on one visit. Everything we had was great and the staff was super friendly, polite and helpful

The space is awkwardly large for an ice cream shop. Though the swinging chairs are fun. I had mint chocolate chip and it tasted light and floral. Personally, I would prefer a heavier and richer consistency, but that's just my opinion. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will return, but definitely try a different flavor.

Delicious ice cream! They have one of a kind flavors and each mixing is jam packed with goodies. The inside is clean and fun with plenty of seating. This is a great place to grab a treat and visit with family and friends.

Ice cream was good. Nice people. Nice facility. Waaaaay to pricey. I noticed a sign today on their building, 2 pints, $12. What? On special at Tom Thumbs, you can get 1 1/2 gallons of BLUE BELL for $12.

Great ice cream! Lots of vegan options that taste great. I've been to both locations and staff had been friendly at both. They don't skimp on the amount they give you either!
