Fantastic! Absolutely loved it. We left the Tsukiji Fish Market and walked over here for lunch. They open @ 11:30, we arrived about 10:50 and there were 5 people in front of us. So we had a little bit of a wait but it really wasn’t too bad. After they opened, we waited another 25-30 minutes before we were seated. We ordered the deluxe/premium or whatever their best offering is. WOW! Thick boy! So thick, so nice and tender and the fattiness was perfect. The panko was fried perfectly. All around delicious Tonkatsu. The egg it’s served with was cooked perfectly as well and the rice… the rice was so tasty I ate it all. So good! We would and we will definitely come back to this spot for Tonkatsu. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had. Flavors on point. The pork cutlet was a perfect combination of fatty tender juicy meat and the panko crisp was perfect. It was so good we both ate it all and then we were absolutely stuffed for the rest of the day!

I’ve been wanting to try this place, but just like most popular restaurants in Tokyo—the line is notorious and the wait time is long because the space is small. I believe they can only seat 6 people at a time. I made it on this trip since I was already in the area and thought I could start lining up at 10:30 am. I didn’t make the first batch, but they were let in as early as 10:50 am with everyone’s order already ready. They did the same to us which is actually very efficient. I got the regular Yaki-katsudon which was $9 USD! Amazing price for the quality. I was a little bit nervous that the thicker cut of tonkatsu might be chewy, but theirs is soft and had some good fat into it. I personally still like my cut on the thinner side but they gave justice to this. The egg was soft and fluffy and the glaze they have was very delicious! Such a good meal and worth the value.

The pork katsu here is extremely worth it for the price you pay. You will have to be there very early to get ahead of the queue. I reached 10.45am and the queue was already quite long. Had to wait almost 48 minutes for our turn to sit. Will have to say that the wait and queuing was worth it. Anyone who visits Ginza should take the opportunity to eat here. Dont mind some of the low reviews, its mostly because of the wait and the owners are abit rigid about queues and behavior in the restaurants cause they want to be orderly and respected.

Queued up at around 1030 on a Tuesday - was the 4th person in line for opening. Ended up getting to walk in a little early at 1050! Ordered the Premium set menu, highly recommend to put some of the wasabi on to help cut through the richness of the pork. Crispy outside, and it might have been one of the most tender pieces of tonkatsu that I can remember. Pickles and miso soup were both quite tasty! Loved it!

Went there alone on a friday night, reached 5:45pm. They sit you by batches, 6 in a batch because there are only 6 seats. Waited for 45mins. The food was nice but do not think my wife would like it as it taste like a big pork belly (without the skin) rather than loin or tenderloin. Might be too oily for some. I ordered the premium one with extra eggs. My neighbour ordered the same and he did not finish while i barely did, so it quite big for some.

First of all, do not buy a 300g menu if you are not VERY hungry. It is bigger than you think. And do not even think of adding extra rice or eggs on the 300g meat. I was very hungry and even with that stomach, I struggled finishing the Premium one without any extras. I was lucky to be the first in the line so I won't be able to talk about the waiting process. I chose the Premium. It was the 300g ribeye one. They served the meat in a bowl with rice and omlette on top of it. It was my first time eating pork in this way so I wasn't sure what to expect. Fried meat was too oily. It was hard to swallow. Also, the oil was drained into the omlette and rice making them hard to eat, too. Wasn't the best rice and eggs I had. Meat itself was fatty. That made it even worse. I'm note sure if it is about the cut I chose or a general problem. They serve miso soup. It was pretty tasty and helped me a lot with the oily/fatty meat. It was one of the saltiest miso that I tried and I liked it a lot. Definitely try eating the meat with a little bit of wasabi. Great taste I think. And it helps with the oil/fat factor. It was difficulty to finish all the foods. The place is nice. There are only 6 seats in this small restaurant. You may need to wait a bit. When your time comes close, they get your order and prepare it beforehand. After a few minutes you seat, your order is served. The place is nice and worth going for a try only. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food.

Google
queue was craaaazy long, which was expected since they can only seat 6 at a time. staff told us it would be about a 2-hr wait. but since i really wanted to try this place, we opted to order take out instead, and eat at a nearby park. 10/10 would do it again. their katsu was that good 🤌🏼

Queued for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and I can say it was absolutely worth the wait. The place only has six seats, which explains the longer waiting time, the only drawback I can point out. I ordered the regular katsudon, which came with Japanese pickles and miso soup. I’d recommend going for the regular size if you plan on visiting other spots to eat and explore, as it’s filling but not overwhelming. If you want a bigger portion, you can go for the next size up. They don’t sell beverages, but they provide complimentary cold tea, which was refreshing. I had my doubts at first, but the food completely won me over. The cutlet had a beautiful golden crust that stayed crisp, with the pork inside still juicy and tender. The egg was soft and creamy, cooked just enough to hold the dish together without losing its texture. The miso soup was light but well-balanced, and the pickles gave a clean, sharp contrast that cut through the richness of the katsudon. They also have condiments on the counter like tonkatsu sauce, wasabi, togarashi spice, and other seasonings if you want to adjust the flavors. Overall, I highly recommend coming here, but plan to arrive early since the queue can be up to 1.5 hours. Special thanks to Ibuki-san for the excellent hospitality and for making the experience so welcoming. I’ll definitely be back on my next visit.
