They open when ever they want. They don’t follow the time of their posted business hours. Everytime I call they don’t answer the phone. The one lady be acting like she fed up with her job. And I get the same thing everytime and it be different prices. Love the food just wish they was more professional

Stopped in on a whim and was not disappointed. Between the excellent food and the friendliness, I will absolutely be back in future.

I've been coming here for many years now and nothing much has changed. The food is still really good, they still don't answer the phone (lol just a heads up) but definitely still very much worth it.

Out motorcycling for the day - stopped by - no sign out front said Tony or Ruth. They said it still was T&R's. Staff was friendly but we were expecting tt sit inside and eat. We couldn't get take outs on the bike - weather turning nasty. Menu is smaller that what you see online.

Looked up this spot one day after my morning bridge jog and been a customer since! Their breakfast is amazing and never disappoints and that homemade tea is a WHOLE NOTHER STORY!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place has the best breakfast food I ever had. I’m from Philly and hole in the wall breakfast spots are always a family tradition. So when I stumbled on this on my lunch break one time, I couldn’t wait to bring my friends and family. On google it says it open until 5 and when I visited my first time it was around 1:30, 2. Today I call around 1:45, no one answers. I call again for them to tell me they’re closed. I’m glad I didn’t go all the way to the store. At the second phase of this pandemic, these business should be reporting there correct hours. I boosted this business to soooo many people and we were going to order today to now having to write this place off. AGAIN, the food is amazing. But the service is horrible even when I placed my order the first time, it took 30-40 minutes.

Food and customer service are always the best. I've been eating here since I was a kid, and so have my parents as teenagers. It's the best place ever that makes the best pizza fries you'll ever taste.

A must try? A "Game Changer"? Absolutely not... But I got what I came for, which was a breakfast sandwich and home fries. They were both ok, although neither was seasoned... I don't keep condiments and spices in my car. Service... No inside service. Order from the front door. The wait depends on how many people are outside and phone orders. I waited about 20 minutes. I'll try back for lunch one day if I'm in the area.

I live in Camden, and we all call in are order and pick it up and go, there breakfast is the BOMB. I get grits and home fries with peppers and onions all the time.. EVERYTHING is made to order, fresh and never disappoints. WE ALL KNOW ITS A TERRIBLE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!. but the food is AWSOME. SO TAKE YOUR FOOD AND GO..

Best cheesesteaks in North Camden... The bread, the meat, the service...everything was spot on... Ruth seems to know all the locals, giving the place a real neighborhood vibe. Very reasonable prices for great, quality steaks. Definitely worth swinging by on your way to the Central Waterfront attractions.

Tony and Ruth's Steaks located at 837 N 8th St in Camden, NJ 08102. Deli/Cafe Pros: Food was hot, portion size was good, food items were very cheap. Cons: No tables to sit down and eat at only small bar counter, menu board is hard to read, and neighborhood where restaurant is located does not feel safe. I went at noon on 3/9/15. I was planning on eating in until I saw the inside of the restaurant and people coming in and around the restaurant. I went for lunch expecting to eat in but ended up doing a takeout. When I walked in the lady behind the counter greeted me and took my order but I could tell she was wondering what I was doing in North Camden. The food took around 10 minutes to prepare. I ordered a Cheesesteak, which was about 12-inches long, the bread was fresh and the steak was good. For around $5 you probably wouldn't find a better Cheesesteak around. The value for the food was unbeatable. This is really a Camden locals only place in my opinion. I would not recommend venturing here and especially not at night. Overall, the food is great but safety is big concern and would NOT have me returning.

Would have given it a 5 but it's a total sausage fest, and not the good kind either. Don't get me started on the parking, the view was not best. There was painted on window at one of the nearby houses. 5 star for the art tho.

Tony and Ruth's Steaks in Camden, NJ Is a deli/diner that makes awesome cheese-steaks! There Slogan is "The Best Cheese-steaks in Town". Pros: Food is always made to order, Great portions size and cheap price, the menu offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, staff was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant has good lighting. Cons: No to go menus, not many seats, very small counters, not much of a beverage selection. Visited Tony and Ruth on 3/11/15 for lunch. When I pulled up to the location, I wasn't sure if I had arrived at my destination. Tony and Ruth's Steaks has no curb appeal. Just a small lettering on the side of the building that says Tony and Ruth's Steaks. The entrance was small and tight, the door was hard to open, and was not very inviting. I managed to open the door and make my way in. The entire restaurant is very small with limited seating. The counter diner style seating was not comfortable. I placed my order after deciding if I should eat there or not. I ordered a cheese-steak(made the way I liked) with green peppers, onions, mayo and ketchup. Tony and Ruth's do not use Cheese-wiz on their cheese-steaks. It took about 8 minutes to prepare. When I bit into my cheese-steak, my taste buds were impressed. The cheese-steak was not dripping of grease, the bread was soft, the flavor was great, and I didn't miss the cheese-wiz I usually get on my cheese-steaks. Tony and Ruth's Steaks Cheese-steaks are truly the best in the town of Camden! I would definitely buy another Cheese-steaks from Tony and Ruth's
