Tony C's Sports Bar and Grill

Today was my first time at Tony C's @ Assembly Row in Somerville. Our smiling waiter / bartender with a cheerful outgoing personality ( Derick ) was amazing! He was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu and he let me sample a few of the fortyish craft beers that they have on tap. He gave me great recommendations, and the food was mouthwatering! I had the rack of ribs and my sister had a shrimp dish. I will definitely be frequenting this bar and grill in the future. One of my new favorites! Thanks Derick for making our day!

I asked for the burger patty to be medium rare and it came fully cooked, and was also huge like very thick and not juicy enough. The service was great they speak spanish and have a fun atmosphere. Although i did feel the vibe like I was at Chilli’s or Cheescake Factory but Chilli’s has tastier burgers. Price are alright, both burgers where $20, but I would have preferred to eat something else.

After admiring the metal structures across the street at Assembly Row, we stopped here for a quick lunch. Outdoors seating was great and the view of the river complemented our experience. Nachos and drinks were good.

My wife and I came in for a quick drink and an app Friday afternoon after some shopping and we were pleasantly surprised. The bartender Colleen greeted us promptly and made my wife a lovely espresso martini. She was so helpful with the menu and picking out some popular apps for us to try. The suggestions she made for us were fantastic!! Colleen was also such a gem in giving us some recommendations to do around the Boston area since we were here visiting family for the holiday (she even wrote down some Boston staples that were a MUST see). We will definitely be back next time we’re in town and we hope to see Colleen again :)

I recently dined at Tony C’s and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was welcoming, the service was excellent, and most importantly, the food was delicious. I tried their signature burger, and I must say, it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The patty was juicy and perfectly cooked to my liking. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, and the bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness. Aside from the burger, I also sampled some of their other dishes, and they were all top-notch. From appetizers to desserts, each dish showcased quality ingredients and skilled preparation. I go to Tony’s quite often because I really enjoy the food, the atmosphere, and it’s usually a great place to relax and have a drink sometimes alone, sometimes with friends. But last night was quite disappointing. The bar staff seemed more focused on chatting among themselves than serving customers. I was initially helped by a bartender who was finishing his shift, and after he left, no one else came to check on me. I had to make an effort just to get another drink, wasn’t offered a menu, and no one asked if I wanted anything else. I was waiting for a friend to arrive, and still, no one came over. What made it even more disappointing was noticing that male customers were served much more quickly and attentively. In the end, I asked for the check and went somewhere else to eat. It’s a shame, because I really like Tony’s, but the service really fell short last night.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at TonyC’s, and I can’t recommend it enough! The atmosphere is simply delightful—warm, inviting, and perfect for families. The decor creates a cozy vibe, making it a fantastic spot to unwind and enjoy a meal. A special shoutout to the manager, Brian D. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests truly enhances the experience. He went above and beyond to ensure that my little one felt welcomed and entertained, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Brian took the time to suggest kid-friendly options and even brought out a little surprise treat for my child, which was a hit! Overall, Tony C’s is a gem. I'm a Tony C's customer for many years. The services quality dropped hugely. Took literally 15 minutes to a waitress come to my table after a sit. A table on the side had a plate with left overs for at least 40 minutes with birds having a blast for a while.

I just want to give a recognition to Kristen the manager at Tony C's in assembly! She moved quick and effectively when we mentioned our concerns. I had a minor issue and when i requested to speak to a manager she came over so sweet and approached the situation with full concern and sincerity. We appreciated her assistance at our visit here tonight. We will most definitely be back! happy new year Kristen! And seriously thank you! also don't want to forget the food here is amazing which is why i came, and if you are a sports lover you will love the big screens all over the place! The bar is also a hit if it's a packed night, overall the ambience is great.

I usually come to Tony C's two to three times a week, and every Friday my company holds happy hours here. Unfortunately, I've been deeply disappointed with my last two visits. On both occasions, I came with my very small and well-behaved dog. Before sitting down, I specifically asked if it was okay to have a table outside with my dog, and both times I was told it was fine. The first time, it took about 20 minutes for someone to come to our table, but once we were attended to, the server was very polite and attentive, so I didn't think much of it. However, the second time was completely unacceptable. Every staff member ignored us entirely for 35 minutes. No one came to take our order or even acknowledge us. When we finally decided to leave, some of the staff actually laughed as we walked away. I completely understand if the restaurant has a no-dog policy -- many places do, and that's perfectly fine. But it's important to be clear about the rules upfront. Being told it was okay and then being treated with complete disregard was very hurtful and disappointing. I've always enjoyed coming here, but after this experience, I'm truly reconsidering.

Checked out the Assembly row area and decided to stop here for lunch. It wasn't very busy on a Sunday afternoon so I sat at the bar. The menu has a lot of options available. There are a lot of TVs to be able to watch any type of game. The food came out quickly and was great. The parking in the garage was complimentary for a short time which is perfect for a short afternoon.

First, I will say that I've had my fair share of missing items from their to go orders, esp when they're busy. The quality of their food and service is a hit or miss depending on the day. Also, it can get pretty noisy and uncomfortable if you have to sit indoors under a TV screen. Portions are small for the price amd doesn't taste too good esp if you're getting to go, but more worth it if you eat in (still pricey though). That being said, it's good old comfort food. They are spacious inside and their outdoor seating is accommodating. I also give them 5 stars for being very ALLERGY FRIENDLY, which offsets the above (for me personally). They run everything by the chef before placing the order and triple check everything before giving it to you. I was extremely impressed by how seriously they take this and it means so much for someone with allergies to be able to eat at an establishment and not have to worry about being safe. So kudos. Also, their kids' meals are very generous and they're also a very kid friendly and dog friendly place (outside). They have front row seating for the fireworks during Riverfest! Tony C's is where we default to if we don't know what to eat at Assembly Row. My favorite is their parmesan truffle fries!

The service tonight was top tier ! The bartenders Laurie and Colleen were amazing! The manager Brian stopped by to say hello, ! The atmosphere was great too! Music was great too!

Only had a couple appetizers and a few drinks with some friends but a ton of TVs beautiful bar the service was great. All the bartenders were attentive. The weight staff seem like they were working pretty hard and it was really busy. They were moving people in and out to watch the games. The steak and cheese wontons and Parmesan fries were great. The only drawback is it was ridiculously loud.

Oh where do I start. Do you like to dine with silverware? Oh well then move on you won't be getting any of that unless you flag down three waiters to ask. Do you like to have a drink without the glass being chipped and cutting your lip? Too bad Tony C can't provide you anything but that experience. Would you like to argue with a waiter about what is included with your meal when it is clearly printed on the menu? Look no further. I will admit the truffle fries are very good, as is the chicken Caesar wrap. But respectfully I would rather be kicked in the neck than return.

Arrived on a Tuesday for a business trip. Took an Uber from airport to here - 10 min drive. Watched the cavaliers vs Celtics game. What a good game! It's a sports bar - packed but plenty of seats!! Food was great. I'm not sure if it was because I was so damn hungry or if the food was superb, but it was very tasty. I ordered the truffle fries. 4/5 stars. Wished the servings were bigger. But can't go wrong with it. A great starter / appetizer to order. Also got the Philly cheesesteak won tons! Yes, won tons but with Philly cheesesteak inside! The heck!! lol delicious and savory. Loved this concept. 4.5 / 5 stars. The burger ... back. Cheeseburger. 3/5 stars. Disappointing. Know why? Because there was no bacon!! They forgot the bacon!! I can't believe it!! The patty was juicy and cooked to perfection but no bacon! Ugh! Burger was just the right size also. I could hold it, and eat it, without all the bits & pieces falling all over. Bun wasn't soggy with grease either so it was an overall good burger except for them forgetting my bacon!! My buddy got the lobster roll - I didn't bother trying it but it was cold. Like the entree itself is cold and costs $26! A bit steep but I'm sure it's delicious. Overall, for a good night out with food good and a fun sports game, I'd totally come back! Atmosphere wasn't too loud & obnoxious either. You could still have full on convos because the restaurant was huge Oh yeah, for the men's restroom, you dont have to open it with ur hands when leaving. They have a foot thing at the bottom for you to use to open it - helps for those who are total germaphobes! Haha

The food was decent but the service was terrible. I don't know if they are short staffed, but our party of two ordered and then a huge party was sat near us - same server - and we became an utter afterthought. We were not acknowledged at all during our meals (we ordered spicy things and got no drink refills). Something was wrong with our order and didn't even have a chance to say something. And I hate restaurants that have the servers hover as you enter the tip on a device they are holding.

Hands down my favourite place to catch a game or just grab a casual dinner after a workout. While it is your regular sports bar, it really is something special. There is a lot of dining, booth, and bar space with visibility to the TVs every where. The menus is basic, I've tried almost everything on the menu by now. They have the juiciest burgers in the Assembly area. My favourite app would be the wings. Any style, with the garlicky ranch. Their churros and tiramisu also hits the spot every time. The prices are decent, the portions are large. They have a wide variety of drinks and tap. While they are always busy, service is always attentive. 10/10 you'll see me here again!

I love this location, the restaurant is big and spacious, lots of outdoor seating and so much to do around. The food has always been consistently good and the service consistently great. Tried a few dishes over the years and most of them are pretty good. They always have veggie burgers and I love them. Their Parmesan truffle fries are soooo good, we definitely order them every single time. The restaurant and bathroom is always clean and if you are lucky, you can get a parking spot right outside the restaurant.

Went to a luncheon with friends on Memorial Day; earlier afternoon, super quiet.. perfect for a girls lunch. Food was delicious: didn't get a photo of the steak and cheese wontons but would definitely recommend them. You can't really go wrong with the steak tips. I got mine with a side salad which was very fresh and enjoyable. I always recommend assembly and you'll always have lots of options at Tony C's. Our server was equally delightful, quick, and super friendly.

Bloody Mary is so gross. very bitter no lime and did not have any of the ingr mentioned on the menu.

The wings are really good and i like the location! I would recommend. The 1 star missing is for the miserable host she was a heavy set girl with dark hair.

Came here to grab some food before a concert. It was a very busy Saturday night, so the service was slow, but our waitress did her best and was around if we needed her. I got the fish tacos and they were soooo good. They were cooked perfectly and so flakey and delicious! Inside there was a big crowd watching the different games playing. They had multiple games playing so you could catch college or pro basketball, football, and hockey. I love that you can watch everything at once like a red zone dream!

When walking in the two girls we making comments to them self the witness was very slow. 20 just to get my ordering, and then another half hour. Just waiting for everything else. The drinks were horrible. The food was OK. And just waiting for somebody to come to it. Take 10 to 15 minutes.

I ordered loaded nachos for 18$ and added chicken for 7$ which came out to 25$. It came out with 2-3 pieces of chicken I had to ask for more because of how little they put. She laughed then said okay. The nachos were all stuck together like a block of cheese. Everything was cold and very disgusting. Terrible experience, don't come here!

my boyfriend and I come to Tony C's quite often, and more lately. I really love the mac & cheese! The noodles are a unique shape. It's pretty plain tbh but I like simple things! I also got a side of fries. Nothing special but good. The service can sometimes be iffy, but it is what it is. I like their location in Somerville and we will definitely keep coming back for date nights!

The atmosphere was great, we were seated quickly and service was friendly and quick. Both the appetizers and food was amazing

Kathy and Cameron was definitely shining over the bar. Not only did they have the greatest hospitality but they are definitely super sweet. We ordered some boom sauce wine and a shot it's so cute the cups they put the boom sauce in because the boom sauce it's too much. Shout out to Lord Hobo. I definitely always love coming to Tony C's but today's experience has been phenomenal and due to the bartending staff again Cameron was a delight has was Kathy

We were in the area to do some shopping and stopped into the Sports Bar for some lunch. There were lots of tables available and the service was good. We were there super early, and the kitchen was just getting started, so our food took a while to come, but when it did, it was good. Good is the word for this place. Not great, but good. Food was fine and looked prettier than it tasted, but overall good. I can imagine that this place gets super busy during Boston games, and it would be a fun place to participate in that.

My friends and I went to Tony C's for a Celtics playoff game and since it was the NBA finals, it was packed. We thought we were going to be able to walk in, but we couldn't. We definitely should have made a reservation ahead of time. There was only space to stand, but not even at the bar. We loved the atmosphere. The crowd was energetic and there were plenty of TVs and a Jumbotron that was showing the game. Overall rating: 8/10

This is always a safe bet for catching a sport game/s, lots of TVs and most spots have a good view of at least some of them. The service was helpful, but it was very busy causing things to take a little long. I tried the Brie Chicken Panini for the first time which was decent but in my opinion is not as good as the turkey club. Gluten Free: I have been here many times and never had an issue. They have a decent selection of gluten free options, I usually stick with the sandwiches. They also have a variety of cider options including some on tap.

Just saw your brunch menu Looks like corporate said come up with brunch menu and staff said bull. Don't want brunch. Pathetic You don't have home fry's or English muffins. What are you serving eggs Beni's on. Do you even have toast You have potato tots. Call them home fries

Kayla was absolutely incredible. I see management in her, she is beyond professional. She was very attentive, so friendly, and informed. I hope we see her grow with this company. Kayla is a superstar!

My husband and I went there after we arrived in Boston for dinner. loved the location and the waterfront. Waiter was nice. Food was good. It was filling and tasty. Only issue was the waiter charged us for one drink twice but at to different cost so not sure if it was intentional, accidental? Accidental more likely would be the same drink charged for twice, but the same cost, but he did take it off the bill overall very relaxing evening and would return.

The girls that were serving on 7/23/2025. Was very rude and unprofessional. We were being discriminated because we speak another language, and she went to make a negative comment about me and my business partner regarding a drink that we didn't like and we made it clear that we're customers we have the right to provide our honest feedback regarding the service, we were ignored and were ask by one of the girl "Why we came back" because we said we came to the restaurant before. It was a Very awful experience.

I've been here a few times ambiance can be hit or miss, generally nice place to sit outside in the summer months other times it's just bland mega sports bar. Food is generally good if you keep it simple, burgers and sandwiches are reasonable but if you venture into other parts of the menu you're asking for trouble. We came in on Saturday night, it was pretty busy so perhaps the kitchen was backed up and in a panic? Partner ordered pork chops with veggies and mashed potatoes. The pork was completely raw and inedible, and when I say raw... I mean raw! Being one of the most expensive food items on the menu, you would think they would take better precautions than serving this to people. The only saving grace was that the server was completely professional about it and quickly took it away as soon as we pointed it out and removed it from the bill. Be thankful you have great servers or this would have been a one star review!

My friends and I went to Tony C's to watch Thursday Night Football. The location has a great atmosphere for games, plenty of TV's with multiple games playing, with every seat giving you a good view. Our server was friendly and quick. The cocktails we ordered were strong and tasty. I will preface the next part of this review by saying we were extremely hungry upon arrival. That said, we were still disappointed by the quality of food we received. We ordered the nachos and Italian sausage flatbread. The nachos were essentially a bag of standard tortilla chips you can get at the grocery store with a little cheese, a couple jalapenos, and an unacceptably small amount of chicken. The cheese wasn't melted and only covered about a third of the chips. We were excited by the description of the flatbread only to be disappointed once again. Imagine a large pita chip with few pieces of ground Italian sausage and peppers scarcely scattered on half of the "flatbread". The one or two pieces that actually had topping on it were tasty but unfortunately we couldn't all get our hands on one. We each had a burger for our meal and they were good, not great, nothing to write home about... This is great place to watch a game with friends and grab a drink, but I will make sure to eat a big dinner before arriving next time.

Tony Cs is absolutely my favorite place in the area to watch a sports game. My boyfriend and I went for the Celtics playoff game and had a great time. Pro tip, get there early cause it gets packed and they don't take reservations. There are a million screens so every seat has a great view of the game. The beers are pretty cheap and I think the food is great! We started with the philly cheesesteak wontons which were amazing. The sauce really made them. I got the chicken caesar wrap buffalo style with crispy chicken -- truly my favorite chix caesar wrap in boston. My bf got the mushroom burger and he said it was a little bland but he ended up dipping it in the leftover wonton sauce which was really good! We will definitely be back for another game soon.

This is usually my go to spot but today it took 35 mins on a to go order just for steak tips and fries only discounted a few dollars at that point should of been the whole order

I had the garlic parmesan fries, which were great, and the loaded nachos to start. My entree was the chicken and shrimp étouffée. The étouffée was excellent; flavorful and a bit spicy! The portion size was fairly large with generous amounts of protein. There a many popular beers on draft. They don't do pitchers of beer, but they do offer pitchers of sangria. This is a good spot for watching sports or even just dining outside on a warm day!

I've been to Tony C's many times, but the last couple of times, the beer was served flat. I understand that it happens, but the worst part is the attitude they give you when you try to let them know. The girl at the bar tried to argue and insisted on serving old, flat beer pretending its (waste of beer). That's not the kind of service Tony C's should be offering its customers.

I had the pleasure of running into Colleen at your location. She was extremely pleasant and easy to talk to. Food was great and service was above and beyond.

The experience was pretty solid overall. The clam chowder was the thickest I've had in my life. I ordered the steamed broccoli and enjoyed dipping it into the soup. The Reuben was also yummy. The kids meals were very generously portioned considering that they were only $9 and included a drink and huge ice cream. The server was very nice but the meal took way too long to arrive.

Dania was great! She took care of us, and gave us really good recommendations on food and drinks! Definitely we're coming back!

Went here in the middle of a sunny day and sat outside. I love that this spot has AMPLE amount of outdoor seating with umbrellas. They have outdoor tables right in front of the restaurant and to the side. I was on my laptop here and was able to use the Assembly Row wifi with no problem. Inside they have a ridiculous amount of TV's. They even have one above the urinal in the Mens bathroom because it's 2022 and there's an unwritten law that we have to be in front of screen every possible moment. But seriously I would love that if I were watching a big game, but had to go. Smart on them. The food was solid, I had a tuna fish sandwich with fries. My only quibble is that I would have liked more fries. The staff here was friendly and my server made sure to check on me consistently. All and all I would love to come back here especially during a big sports game.

Awesome bar to watch the games at, the bartenders rock! A real bummer was that the TVs in the women's bathroom aren't working (unlike the men's)!! Bummed to be missing the action!

Delicious food with quick service. There are TV's everywhere! Outdoor seating is available but not used due to the rain. I really appreciated the flexibility in seating a person with a mobility issue. I also was happy to see an impossible burger on the menu and a few turkey sandwich options. I definitely will return.

Overall such a good meal. The nachos were so good but I wish the toppings were spread out more between the layers. The Shirley temple the chili and the Caesar salad wrap were all amazing I would get everything again.

I'm not big into sports bars at all. I was expecting to sit through a not very satisfying meal with my family. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the salmon. It was a huge portion, PERFECTLY seasoned and cooked - large amount of vegetables on the side. Really great meal. I didn't like my iced tea much and was surprised when our server never returned during the meal to check in and replenish it but that could not detract from the deliciousness of my meal. I definitely want to go back.

Always a good time at tony's c's to watch a sports game! Their burger was my favorite but the Brie Sammy was different. I'd get both these items again. I've also had their buffalo chicken tenders which are bomb! Service was good can't complain.

Went here for Brunch, the Lobster Benedict was decent. Waitstaff was lackluster. Best part was honestly the location. We sat outside, enjoying the view of the harbor

Tony C's is a great spot to watch a game and grab a beer. They have a mighty impressive draft list with huge screens (no audio though). The cheapest draft on tap will set you back $5. Their small serving of french fries is also $5, which I'm a little grouchy about. There are basically no vegan options here besides the garlic broccoli and chips & guacamole. I definitely wouldn't come here to eat specifically, as the food is pretty basic and expensive to boot, but I will come back for any sport related games and brews. PRO TIP: Avoid sitting in the booths because you'll feel EVERY movement the neighboring booth makes. I almost lost my shit getting jostled around by the dudes sitting behind me. Sports bar type of scene , went in a Friday night it was pretty busy, the waitress was courteous and the food was delish, clam chowder and fish n chips was wonderful , we waited a little bur expected since busy. I would recommend yes !

-I thought my drink was weak... -My nachos were so disappointing with just 7 little slices of jalapeños (yes I counted) and the smallest scoop of guac. You would think they would have added more since I didn't get any sour cream or cheese... (vegan) -my sweet potato fries were my fav. Yummy. - my friend loves the Mac and cheese here. I won't be coming back. Enjoy!!
