I had Tonys at book house pub on a Sunday nite. We were so excited to go. My wife is from Chicago and Portillo’s is a place we eat at every-time we go. 10 years ago no one outside of chicago knew what an Italian beef Sandwich was, now that the FX show the Bear came out and popular opinion has made it the state food replacing the abomination of chicago pizza, people know better. Problem is it is damn near impossible to get a good one outside of the windy city. What Tonys gets right is the quality of the ingredients. The shaved beef, jus, and peppers were so good. They accidentally gave me a non dipped sandwich, so I had a bite without it being dipped then got the jus, ohhhh boy a game changer. Heres why I’m knocking a star, the sandwiches are really small. In fact both me and my wife got 2nds. Another reason, I noticed when I got hot peppers there were a lot of them, but when you ask for sweet peppers not that many. I preferred the sweet over the hot. I wish we could have added mozz like you can at Portillo’s. The cheese takes it to a whole new level. Bottom line you can’t beat Tonys quality, the beef and jus are the best I’ve had. If you are craving an Italian beef sandwich this is the place to go to, but you just might have to order 2.

Big fan of Tony's Italian roast beef sandwich. Has a nice blend of spicy and not so spicy peppers.

I have looked for over 50 years to find a Beef sandwich like the ones I used to get in Chicago from Carm’s on Cicero.. they were amazing and Tony’ s is definitely got them !!! They are delicious and the topping he makes are just an added bonus of flavor !! I am so happy to have found him . Definitely recommend !! The lunch special is awesome !! A total 5 stars !! And he is very nice young man .

Best Italian beef in town! Might be little pricey for some, but you get what you pay for. Not going to find anything that compares in town. I haven't!

Yelp
Had planned on another pizza place but since Tony's is closer, I gave it try. And was not disappointed because I don't like heavy dough pizza. It was just the right amount and good. I'll be ordering from there, from now on. Prompt take-out service too.

Yelp
Had it again at Sceptre Brewing. They go up a star for adding cheese. It made it so much more filling! Kudos for them for listening to the people.

Yelp
I don't know what is wrong with Atlanta that they think this place is indicative of Chicago. Place should be closed PERMANENTLY. Food is crap - Meat is ALDI QUALITY, DRY, LISTLESS, NO FLAVOR, the auju is Lipton bouillon. It's massively expensive, and the people that work there troll the Yelp DMs when you write a review that talks about their ALDI QUALITY MEAT being sold for $$$$$$$$$$$$. Everybody in Chicago would never pay 13 bucks for Italian Beef let alone one made with ingredients from Granny's cupboard. Included a screenshot of the trolling and just know they are crybabies that will beg Yelp to take your review down. I'm from Chicago - AVOID THIS IMITATION PLACE.

Yelp
Tried Tony's as part of the Eatavision event and HOLY HELL they make a great Italian beef! The meat was so tender and juicy and there was the perfect amount of peppers. As a Chicago native who has to get an Italian beef and Chicago dog every time I go home, I'm thrilled and a little scared to have this little gem right here in my neighborhood. I'd be eating there right now except they close in 10 minutes and I just got home and im wiped. You can bet I'll be dreaming of an Italian beef tonight though!

Yelp
Gotta try it! I had my beef with the peppers & dipped in the beef juice. 10 out of 10. #supportsmallbusinesses

Yelp
Tony is a Chicagoan who knows genuiine Italian beef. Try it with hot and sweet peppers with no cheese. Great sandwich.
