What a great locally owned restaurant! The family was so attentive, and the food was delicious. I had the lunch spaghetti with meat sauce, it also came with a very fresh salad and garlic bread. This place is a must try!

Really enjoyed our lunch here. Staff was friendly and attentive, almost like you were family. Kitschy Italian decorations and maybe some souvenirs from family trips. The sauce smell hits you as soon as you open the door - always a good sign. The stuffed shells I had were excellent - from the sauce, to the filling to the wonderfully al dente shells. They also do a brisk carry-out business at lunch. You can't go wrong getting out of a sit-down place for under $12 for lunch.

First time going in here and it was awesome. Service was great. Our server, Lisa, was very friendly, fast and accommodating. The food was served timely and they were delicious. The garlic bread was really great, one of the best I've tried. Everything we ordered was exceptionally good. Will definitely go back again and will recommend to others. A really good Italian resto.

Grabbed a carry out lunch. We got lasagna, veal parmigiana and fettuccine with a couple salads. The service for ordering and pickup was great. And the dining area was quaint. The meals were just ok. The lasagna was probably the best one. The fettuccine was still warm but was becoming a chunk of cheese and was hard to maneuver the noodles on a fork. The veal parmigiana was semi flavorless although the spaghetti was fine. The best part of the meal was the garlic bread as it was really tasty. Maybe dining in at Tony’s would be a better experience.

Quiet little restaurant with around 10-12 tables. A little dated but otherwise clean. We ordered the lasagna and the combo platter with meatballs as a starter. Meatballs came out steaming on the outside and cold on the inside but the flavor was just ok after they heated them up. The entrees came out the same as the meatballs, cold inside, hot outside. The flavor was just ok for me. Could have used a little more seasoning but once again, the temp issue was a big thing. I assume it's all made and refrigerated and simply heated to order. Will probably try them again to see if maybe I just caught them on a bad day

Wow...wish I had gone here sooner! Just a small, nondescript restaurant but with delicious homemade Italian food! I got the cannalloni and it had lots of filling and was very tasty! Loved the garlic bread too...could actually see real garlic on it! Also, their prices are very reasonable! I will be back!!

Tony's Italian Kitchen for lunch! Delicious food and reasonable prices. Juanita had the Spaghetti w/Tony's meat sauce, and I had Penne, Italian Sausage, w/Tony's own sauce. No hype, just Great Food.

Traveled to this little spot to try some pasta. Son wanted shrimp Alfredo. I went simple with spaghetti and meatballs. Overall we werent very impressed. The atmosphere and quality of dishes did not match the prices in my opinion. Meat sauce and meatballs had good flavor, alfredo was chalky/gritty. Seated quickly, waitress attended our table decently. Maybe was an off day but is my personal opinion.

Excellent dinner at Tony's. We got the Friday specials of cannelloni and manicotti. Richelle add meatballs to her order and I added the calamari in marinara sauce. We love this meal. This was the first calamari I have had just in marinara sauce; this style really brings out the calamari flavor. Richelle said the cannelloni and meatballs were fantastic. Two baskets of garlic bread, and a nice salad. Service was friendly. Dine in area is fairly basic, but it was clean and comfortable. Prices are very reasonable!

100th REVIEW And what better way to celebrate this Yelp milestone than at an Italian restaurant? As someone with family from New York and New Jersey, I take Italian food very seriously. I am always suspicious of the authenticity Italian restaurants in the Midwest, especially when some places by me claim that Ragu is their "house recipe." However, I was pleasantly surprised by Tony's in Dayton! As soon as I saw the statue of a chef and plastic grapes in the entryway, I knew Tony's was the real deal. I came with a group of 10, and the waiters were able to accommodate us into one large table in the back of the dining room. The dining room itself is decorated like a charming alleyway in the streets of Rome, with some decorations looking straight out of Nonna's kitchen. We were served drinks right when we sat down, and I noticed on the menu that there was an impressive selection of IPAs and wine. Our waiter was kind enough to bring someone in our party a "sample" of beer when he was deciding between two drinks. Of course, no Italian dinner is complete without garlic bread, and Tony's garlic cheesy bread was a hit with the whole table! I couldn't get enough of it. For dinner, I enjoyed the ravioli, which was served on a plate that was bigger than my head! The sauce was flavorful with a hint of crushed red pepper, and the ravioli themselves were thick and fluffy. I loved every bite! Unfortunately, not everyone liked their dinners as much as I did. My sister said her Alfredo sauce "tasted like nothing," and I saw from across the table that my mother's baked ziti was burnt. One thing I did appreciate about Tony's was the prices. For just $13.50, I got a full plate of ravioli, plus a side salad and garlic bread! I was very impressed with that deal.

Everything is made in house. Servings are generous. But, most impressive, the young staff is Very polite and Very professional! Young people can be Great workers and this place proves it!

Lunch was absolutely delicious. Veggie lasagna and meat lasagna. Salads were lovely, the balsamic I loved! We had the peanut butter chocolate mousse pie and it was fantastic!

I had the lasagna the taste was phenomenal Also had dessert tiramisu it was outstanding

Lasagna and garlic bread are fantastic! A bit salty so beware before you dash for the salt right away. The bagged salad was lame. Server was attentive and nice. The building itself could use some major TLC. The inside is very dingy and outdated. A coat of fresh paint and some deep cleaning would make a world of difference. Prices are fair.

Ate at Tony's this afternoon and everything was great. Salad was fresh and my Lasagna and wife's Baked Zita was delicious. Have never had a bad meal at Tony's.

From the moment I opened my Combo 1, the smell alone had me hooked. The portions were beyond generous, but what truly set it apart was the love you could taste in every bite. You can tell the food isn't just thrown together--there's real care and passion in every dish. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauces were rich and deeply flavorful, and even the sides were crafted with the same level of attention. I will be trying everything on the menu, eventually. It's that extra love that really makes Tony's special. They even cut their own cardboard to separate the bowls for takeout, ensuring everything arrives just as it's meant to. It's those small details that show how much they value their customers. Tony's feels like it's been in the neighborhood forever, and I hope it stays that way for a long time. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out on a place where every bite feels like it's been made just for you--with real love and care. Spot on. Balsamic dressing on the salad was very strong...beware. Good, but strong. I had the garlic chicken. It was very good. I can't believe I ate the whole thing. Garlic bread was fantastic, also. Service was acceptable. Not great, but not bad. I am working in the area from now until the end of the year. I would return if the mood strikes me.

loved there spaghettini, and the lasagna I ate there I remember going there with my mom on the weekends at least 20 to 35 years ago..... there hospitality really was top Notch The family feeling I got when we would go there Topp notch food Great people working there very kind and curious (goods) to both my mother and I- Never will forget that Felt very relaxed when we went to eat there. Looked forward to eating there. The atmos-fear was very comforting I can't believe there still around after all this time, but I am glad because other people can experience a great feeling Like we did I I highly recomend this place

Tony's is a hidden gem! This place has delicious and flavorful Italian dishes and the price is fantastic, I love a great value! I've probably been here 10x, all carryout. I recommend the House Special #2 and Seafood Combo. Great place to pickup when you don't want to cook tonight.

We had an early dinner here. The service was great. My glass was never completely empty. The calamari appetizer was outstanding to be honest. I loved the red sauce it was cooked in. We dipped the bread in it until it was gone. Everyone loved their pasta dishes. The fettuccini Alfredo was great and had a LOT of chicken in it. My stuffed cheese shells were great. The side salads are solid and the bread was really good.

Decided to get carry out tonight from Tony's. It has been a couple years since I have been here and I should've come back much sooner! Food was delicious! They have one of my favorite sauces anywhere. The place itself is not fancy but it's comfortable. It was worth the drive to Englewood!

Food was good. We had takeout and it was ready when we arrived. I had the eggplant Parmesan and it came with a portion large enough to split for lunches later.

We have come here a few times since moving nearby a couple years ago. The experience here last week was quite poor. The food was not that good and the service was quite poor. It seemed all our pasta dishes were microwaved just prior to being served, as they were quite hot (hotter than one would expect in restaurants) and the pastas neared a state of mush. There was only one waiter and host working the front of the house. If not for the host helping with service, we certainly would have never gotten drinks or appetizers. All of us found the food and service concerning. We may give them one more try because prior visits were above average and they seem to have a good reputation. But this is something to keep an eye on. They could be cutting costs, thus cutting quality and service.

I go here once a week and always get lasagna, ziti, stuffed shells, and cannelloni...the sauce is great. Everything is great. Great value

I recently had lunch here and loved it. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent: great portion size for being a lunch, and i felt as though it tasted as good or better than any Olive Garden or Spaghettis Factory that I've ever been in.

The food is authentic and delicious. I can never get enough of their bread! The service is always amazing. It's a small restaurant but there never seems to be a wait.

We have passed by this restaurant a million times, we went in for the first time and let me tell you, THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!! We will definitely be back, the food was EXCELLENT, it's a small dining room but it was cozy, the staff was amazing as well !!! Thank you for such great homemade food!!!

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. I ordered the Baked sampler, my girl ordered the chicken Alfredo. She could simply not eat the Alfredo or the chicken because it was so rancid. The chicken tasted like a freezer and the Alfredo sauce was like the cream had spoiled in it. I mean it was terrible, made me gag when I tasted it. When we returned to the restaurant to get a refund or a remake, the manager REFUSED to remake or refund the order. He claimed that it was simply because "we didn't like it" and said he had made them all day with no complaints. I'm telling you guys, Fazoli's with a 2.8 star rating has 10x better pasta than this place! It bewilders me that this place is still so highly reviewed. Will be warning all friends and family to stay away from this place.

Food smelled weird. Ceiling of the restaurant looked like it was from an 80's basement. The bill didn't match prices on the menu, was waaaaay over, and they were annoyed when we pointed out the price discrepancies. Tiramisu looked like a box cheesecake and I can make better spaghetti at home.

Yummy the people are great the take out is great. The Italian is authentic very clean cozy place The drinks are good too. Very good service and friendly

We always try new places and this was a great find! I order other lasagna which came with a side salad and garlic bread for 13.95. The lasagna was outstanding!! It was seasoned nicely, well balanced and tasted fresh, NOT microwaved. While the garlic bread was small, they provided lots of it and it was also delicious. If I had to say anything potentially negative, is that the serving size of the lasagna was slightly small for me but that is only a personal preference.

Food is always good! I get carry out because their dining area is less than desirable a little to cramped for space for me, but that doesn't stop others from packing the house. Dining room always seems to be full.

I absolutely love the eggplant parmigiana. It's a small place and had really good food. Everything else about it is just okay.

On a recommendation, we visited here for a special dinner. We were not disappointed. While the restaurant is kinda small, the food flavors are rather large! My wife was surprised that I was able to find her an authentic Italian restaurant for our 10th Anniversary. The menu had plenty of options to choose from and the food was perfect. Our server, Lisa, was also perfect! She was very knowledgeable about all of the items on the menu as well as being very attentive to our needs and questions during our visit. Of course, the store was very clean and well lit. Looks are deceiving, so give this place a look and look forward to tasting true Italian cuisine!

My boyfriend and I have eaten there twice in the last week. We were there this past Saturday night, Nick was our server and he was outstanding with his recommendations! I had the chicken cacciatore and he had canniloni and both were so good we had to eat all of it.. its not often that we go out and don't have a bunch of leftovers. Large portions and great prices!!! Great wine, good beer, & cozy atmosphere Highly recommend!!

Excellent food. One of my favorite Italian restaurants. If ever in the Englewood/Clayton area I highly recommend.

1st time visit for me and the last time for us. 10 days in advance a request was made to have a table ready with table cloth, a bottle of red, and a candle. Although they don't take reservations we were assured by the owner that the simple request would be made for a Thursday evening at a table in the back. BIG FAIL. The hostess was clueless and no one working that shift knew about the request. So we sit down at a table and order a prosecco. "I'm sorry we don't have that". Really? A standard menu item in print that they don't have in stock? So we order a bottle of chianti and get a few salads. One salad came with the house dressing and the other with balsamic vinaigrette. It should be named Salty Vinaigrette and it made the salad an item that was left unfinished. Now the Chicken Marsala was good, that i will give you but the entree of Combination Platter was not good. It comes with Lasagna, Stuffed Shells, Baked Ziti, and Cannelloni. I was not impressed with any of those items and the Cannelloni had a mystery meat in it. We found out by asking that it was a combo of veal, beef, and sausage. That was not appetizing at all. I hate giving places low ratings but in this case it was warranted. I found a new joint called Jimmy's Italian Kitchen and lunch was fantastic on the corner of Woodman Drive and Dorothy Lane. Also, you can never go wrong with Mamma DiSalvo's on Stroop Road in Kettering. So those 2 places I highly recommend. Ciao!

Recently moved to Englewood. Meatball parm is our "go to" meal. Quick, friendly service and reasonably priced.

We love Tony's but it's been very cold inside. Please turn on the heat where customers are eating. I understand the kitchen gets warm but it's hard to enjoy your meal when you have your coat on the whole time.

The food is amazing! The meatballs are so yummy. We love the food and the service is excellent as well!! If you have an opportunity to dine at this place please try the meatballs.

Tony's has been a part of our dinner experience for many years. It's one of the best places to treat yourself to some authentic Italian cuisine. Don't expect a large dining facility, Tony's restaurant is similar to east coast pizza parlors except unfortunately, they don't make pizza. ( I suspect there are many reasons, the most obvious is that the convenience of delivery, and the Midwest taste for chain pizza, probably makes it a difficult investment in material, labor and machinery.) Since they are from the East Coast, I have no doubt they could whip up a heck of a pie if they wanted to. Anyway you need to check them out. I love the Shrimp marinara. (Get it with Angel Hair pasta, it's magnificent.) oh and not sure where they find their crew but Tony's has some of the nicest staff in the area. All very respectful and considerate of the customers.

Did not try the food was craving Tiramisu but what I got was some kind of cake NOT tiramisu no coffee flavor just a bland cake drizzled with chocolate I was sadden. But will return to try the food smelled great in there. Stay tuned

Always love this place don't go very often just because the Parkin lot is small and I'm not the best at parking so it makes me nervous.

Good food with options for vegetarians. I love the egg plant Parmesan sandwich. Only problem is they don't allow you to order kids meals for pickups. You can only dine in.

Good Italian place. Not the fanciest but the food is good. The chicken was a little rubbery on the Chicken Parm however the sauce was very good. The arrincinni (rice ball) was amazing. I'll be back just going to order something other than Chicken Parm.

Delicious Spaghetti, and garlic bread. When you walk in the door, your mouth starts watering, the cooking smells tell you this is gonna be good. If you ever get the chance, go there.

This place is a long time favorite of ours. Italian that never disappoints. Staff have been there for years and know all of the regulars. We love the garlic cheese bread, the spicy garlic balsamic dressing, and either baked ziti or good as Grandma's spaghetti and meatballs. Nice dessert choices and good wine. If you're looking for a fancy interior-this ain't it. It's the FOOD that brings 'em in. We love this place.

My other half & I have been to Tony's Italian Kitchen twice since the onset of COVID-19. The first time we ordered take out. They failed miserably to provide quality food that was both warm & tasty. (The buttered bread had been placed in a paper bag which tore open by the time we got it home. All the bread ended up on our kitchen floor because it had soaked through.) The second time we dined in the restaurant, which was recent, everything was good except for one entrée. The salad consisted of a small bowl filled with chopped head lettuce, 1 cherry tomato & 1 slice of cucumber. I expected more. Their house dressing was excellent. I ordered the ravioli combination cheese & meat filled. The cheese filled was excellent. Bottom line: I've enjoyed Tony's for many years. These past 2 visits were very disappointing. I may never dine there again.

The reviews led us here. And we were quite disappointed. The balsamic salad dressing was not well balanced and the salad was nothing special. The shrimp oreganata hardly had any breadcrumbs and was basically just shrimp with butter noodles which were slightly watery with little flavor. The veal parmigiana was tough and left mostly uneaten. The fettuccini Alfredo was absolutely average, and the kid's lasagna was shockingly salty to the point it actually made my tongue numb. The limoncello dessert was decent. The cannelloni dessert had a grainy filling and was topped with Hershey's syrup. Huge disappointment all around.
