Tony's Mexican Restaurant

This spot was on point today. Seated right away, drinks were brought out quickly, never had to ask for refills. We were checked on numerous times, food was ordered and delivered quickly. Food had good flavors and was plentiful. Music was set to a good volume and didn't drown out the conversations. Would recommend!

Inside the restaurant felt very cozy. Love carpet flooring. Music was good also. Chips and salsa were okay. Chips were nice and fresh. Salsa could've been a bit spicier, but that's just my preference. Firm believer that green salsa should always be served alongside red salsa. 3/5 Queso flameado wasn't too bad. Decent flavor but was not as melty as it should be. Tortillas that came with it were abit too overcooked but they gladly switched them with new ones. 3/5 Enchiladas poblanas were awesome. Originally stuffed with chicken, I asked waitress if i could get beef fajita instead. It was a $2 upcharge so that sucked but I understand. Comes with 2 enchiladas instead of 3 🤕. Very good flavor. 4/5 Carnitas were kinda expensive considering it's pork. It's usually the cheaper option in other restaurants, but the flavor was also good so that kinda justifies it. And the portion was great aswell. Should come with more grilled onions. 3/5 Margaritas were 🔥!!! It does have a very forward tequila taste so it might not be for everyone. Flavors were awesome. It was happy hour so 5.75 for flavored Margarita might be a tad high but it was my favorite item here. 5/5 Michelada was meh. Standard michelada, wouldn't get it again. 3/5 Really wanted to try the Botana especial. Sampler platters are usually my go-to when visiting a Mexican restaurant for the 1st time, but the price tag of $49 is just insane. Overall: 4/5

This place is hidden by the freeway. Came here for my friends bridal shower and it was nice, the place has a ton of seating space and the menu is pretty extensive, they also have a full bar. The hostess, waiters and bartender were all very nice and attentive. We had appetizers which were very delicious and food which were also very good. They had great strong margaritas!

Love it here. The food is amazing. Their queso is the best I have had. Ordered the burrito especial... talk about delicious... staff is amazing. The owner came by and checked on us... love the customer service. Need to come more often.

Newly remodeled, great service and awesome margaritas. My only complaint is due to the current situation they have only one classic Mexican combination on the menu which is a bummer. Currently most of the menu is high quality but more contemporary fare. I will definitely return when things return to normal.

The food here is good and I've eaten here countless times over the years as I work nearby. But I'll never set foot in this place again after the last time I ate there. I was with a group of around 12-14 people. We split the bill and paid at the front (each person with their own card). They automatically included the tip on the bill. While I understand this is sometimes standard practice in this industry (even though it makes no sense because the tip is supposed to be discretionary depending on the quality of the service), they went even further, and then asked for an additional tip at the kiosk. I didn't realize at the time that the tip had been included, so I ended up tipping twice. I hope they enjoyed their extra tip because from now on I will always steer clients and customers away from this place.

We ordered quesadillas, and my wife got chicken instead of fajita beef. The service was slow and we had trouble getting the attention of the waitress. Good food, small portions and poor service.

I like coming here. Food is decent. Had pork tacos. They were good. Wsiter wss attentive. Tre Leches was good.

Well, I have been looking forward to trying this place as I found out it was the sister restaurant to the Tony's on Ella. And was disappointed. The salsa was not as good. It was warm but doesn't compare to the one on Ella. I option for No. 2, which came with a beef crispy taco, guacamole and 2 enchiladas, I asked for a chicken and a beef. Presentation fell short. Ground beef seemed overcooked. The chicken enchilada however was tasty. Will return to Tony's, just not this one.

Wanted some quesabirrias and they were fine. Not my favorite but not bad. The staff was nice and attentive with a quiet restaurant on a Monday evening.

Actually a second time visit.. not a very busy location but always great food! What I like are those unique plates which are mixes of items I never had .. my Icaramba was great! The service was spot on and Ambiance was good too. If in the area, I would recommend for a way in and order restaurant for lunch. Just my opinion...

The food was average but the service was truly lacking. My friend and I went for the first time and we were disappointed. When she got there, she asked for water but it took a really long time to get her water. When the food was served, they didn't give her the tortillas that came with her order until she was almost finished with her dinner. The salad didn't have a dressing. It was dry and tasteless. Our waitress hardly came to our table so we were having a hard time getting the things we were missing. We tried to get other employee's attention but they kept ignoring us. The place was not very busy. I won't be going back.

I was impressed with the queso, cheese enchiladas, and I loved the BBQ Brisket Quesadilla!! The sangria margarita wasn't my favorite, but I will try this place again and try a different cocktail. The waitress was nice and other wait staff were nice too. The lunchtime crowd was busy and the ambiance wasn't too loud or quiet, it was pleasant.

Visiting from Seattle and have been dying to get our hands on some tex-mex food, and this really hit the spot. The services was on point with the super attentive servers, and we had a lot of privacy even though we'd gone in at right around dinner time. The food did not dissapoint, and we even got to take the leftovers home to enjoy :)

I'm so disappointed in the beef enchiladas here! Yuck!! The beef was ok, it was just that cheap can chili gravy sauce they use and the cheap cheese! So gross! I really love authentic Tex Mex restaurants that make there enchiladas sauce, not from a can or package. Also the beans tasted like there from a can also. No good flavor to them! I do love the chips and salsa! I love the thick chips and the warm salsa. Salsa flavors balance really well together. The brisket quesadilla was ok., I just wish the tortilla were homemade!! I didn't like the texture of the package tortilla.

Stopped by for a late lunch which coincidentally, the waitress let us know, was also happy hour. I tried a strawberry margarita which was strong and tasty. Not sure if they only come blended but I forgot to ask on the rocks. The free chips and salsa were so good, I really enjoyed the salsa. I had the street tacos that come with 5 tacos, so naturally I tried a little of everything. 2 beef, 2 chicken and 1 pastor ( I did not try the carnitas ). They were lacking in flavor but still decent. My partner had Tony's combo which he really enjoyed. The service was exceptional! And on our way out, I noticed a small play area for kids! Very thoughtful!

There's no such thing as "too much" Tony's!! I've been coming to this place for a few years now and it is aways such a great experience. The food is authentic, flavorful and fresh, the staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable. I love their Live Band Nights as well. Such a family friendly vibe! I've tried a lot of their menu items, but my fav dish is their BBQ Brisket Quesadilla! Soooo tasty! Their drinks... ohhh man, their drinks are superb!!! Their house margarita is fantastic! I have never had a bad experience here EVER! Totally worth a visit! Have a pretty nice Happy Hour too!

This restaurant was just okay. We came for national margarita day which was nice. They had marketing materials on the table which indicated happy hour all day. When we asked what was on happy hour, we received an annoyed vibe, and it took quite some time to get a happy hour menu. I had strawberry margaritas and the lunch order of the Birria flautas. The consume that came with the flautas was the best part, the flautas were just okay. Very little filling and when you took a bite, you pulled all the meat out with it. We came with a group of 8-9 and everyone had about the same reaction to their dishes. One guest in our group ordered the veggie quesadilla and she really liked that. I would only come back if someone else was eager to come, it wouldn't be on my recommendation.

I visited for lunch with a friend during the week and parking and getting a seat was pretty easy. The food was very good, I had the lunch special that was offered for a short period. Latin Restaurant Week. The chips and salsa were very good as well as the service. Overall the food and service was top notch and I plan on visiting again.

We love Tony's. The food is always good. The drinks are great. The staff is attentive. We ordered the guacamole and drinks. It was a great experience and I recommend it

Food was pretty good! They have outdoor seating and indoor. Service was good too. I will be back.

GEM ! Loved this place, the food was amazing I loved the bbq enchiladas was insanely delicious !! I loved my food and so did my whole family. my kids also loved the sand box outside was nice for the kids while waiting for the food. SALSA - A+ my oldest son loved the salsa was fresh and warm had amazing flavor. I loved it aswell. Definitely be coming back here soon.

Was in the area and was craving Tex-mex food! I saw on their social media that the owner Tony passed away recently and they closed down to prepare and mourn the lost of their loved ones. I wanted to stop by before the passing of Tony, but I wasn't able to make out this way. The interior is still new and the service and employees do safety precautions because of COVID19 which I'm all for. The more safer I feel eating inside a restaurant, the better chance I'll be returning frequently! From start to finish, the food and drinks were amazing! I honestly recommend EVERYTHING I pictured from my dinner that night. I might have missed one dish but I think by the time that item came out, I was super buzzed and couldn't even remember taking a photo. (3 rounds of margs where they have a buy one get on free special and then 2 rounds of tequila).

Definitely family friendly. Came with our two little kids and they enjoyed the sand/play area that was covered outside. Had the tacos, tortilla soup, queso, kids meals, margaritas and tres leches and we all enjoyed our meal. Staff and manager came often and attentive. We frequent Lupe's a lot and would have the say the service here is far superior.!

Stopped by for the cinco de Mayo happy hour that was advertised and it was sort of a hot mess. My husband was sat by the hostess who I guess she didn't know the menu. She took his drink order (happy hour) After having our meal we got our check and the managers said we didn't order from the HH. So we had to speak to two managers to tell them what happened. A lot of back and forth, the food was ok.

Reheated the remaing brisket and steak quesidilla and its not good. It was super greasy to the point it was inedible. I will not be back.

Awful place. Awful service. I placed an order to go to get home and realize the order was wrong. There's really nothing more upsetting than getting home and seeing the whole order is wrong. what an awful small business I will never support again and will be sure to tell everyone how awful FERNANDO is as well as his manager!!! Oh and when I talked to the manager she told me I'm wrong and the cook said she made the order right. I was looking at the CLEARLY chicken that WAS CLEARLY NOT birria. AWFUL AWFUL BUSINESS.

Stopped by for dinner and the food was delicious. The mole enchiladas were very tasty and the mole made from scratch. Amazing flavors! Friendly and very attentive staff.

I came here for my birthday and the staff was so attentive and made my experience really awesome. Their salsa and chips is authentic Mexican salsa. The food is also really good the chicken/fajita grilled platter is my favorite!!!

Always love the service and food at Tony's! My favorite are the enchiladas or the combo plate Tonos. Family friendly is a must for us and they are a great restaurant for kids. They have a playground and the kids menu isn't too pricey with lots of good options for kids. We go at least twice a month now. Go try it!

Okay you guys! I am all for great food and rita's Tony's did not disappoint! The decor the music is giving nothing but great vibes and ambiance in a more modern fashion! I ordered the chimichanga and before getting two bites in I knew I'd be returning. The flavors are full robust Mexican and the salsa good enough to ask are you guys bottling this to go! My chimichanga bursting at the seams with succulent beef and zesty cheese in the middle of refried beans and grain for grain Mexican light and airy fluffed rice! Okay I hit a home run here. Let's try this margarita...frozen no salt 1800 with grand marnier! Don't judge me lol! But soon after my first sip I began to wonder " oh no need for toppers here!" Awesome Rita's I have to pace myself as 1 is definitely enough especially with all of my add ins! Yeah you guys get to Tony's yesterday lol! Enjoy!!!!!!

This my first time trying Tony's the customer service is nice and the red salsa is Soo good I had the enchiladas with charro beans and rice and it's really good I will be back and the lunch price was just 10.00

5 stars! We were down the street to purchase a new vehicle and it was late when we got done.. They recommended Tony's so we tried it out. Small place with big flavor. Chips are and perfect size. None of those chips that break when you dip in salsa or queso. We had margaritas that were some of the best I've had in a while. Carnita tacos and Quesadillas were awesome. Service was great and Manager stopped by to see how things were. You should check this place out.

Went to Tony's Mexican on barker at I10 and ordered the Tejano Parillo and even pointed to it ion the menu with the server. It is supposed to come with chicken fajitas and brisket and sausage. They brought chicken, beef fajita with shrimp. I thought it was a substitution but did not clarify with server. Then the bill came and I was charged over $20 more than the tejano Parillo. The manager simply said you are it and didn't say anything. I will NOT go back to Tony's. Now I know why they're so empty - they say they're Christian but rip off fellow Christian's and customers.

Will not be back, they switched an item on the menu for one not on the menu that was $20 more expensive. They would not adjust the price even though the item they brought us was not on the menu and we did not ask for it. Food was ok, nothing special.

The reason for my negative review is due to the service from the cashier when I had an Uber order. I called in and requested they add an additional small red sauce to my order. She informed me that she would have to charge me for it and I asked why would you have to charge me for it she said because if I don't, I will get in trouble. I informed her that I have ordered there many times, and if this has not occurred before in the past. At this point, I asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold. She came back to me and told me that all the managers were in a meeting. I asked to speak to the head chef she came back and informed me that the head chef was in a meeting. I said someone has to be running that restaurant and I want to speak to that person. She said no one was there. They are all next-door in a meeting. I did ask her what would happen if I came into the restaurant and I sat down to eat and I requested more chips and more salsa, would I be charged Brianna said no and asked why She said because you were sitting in the restaurant, I have never seen such incompetence and illogical, thinking from a cashier or greeter in a restaurant. I even requested to speak to the bartender and she laughed in my face. She finally came back on the phone and wanted to know my name and said that she would add the red sauce and I said no never mind. I'm have already cancelled the order because right now I'm afraid you may spit in my food. She even told me at one point that I couldn't remain on hold until a manager got out of the meeting. Her name is Brianna. Until I know for a fact that she is no longer employed there I will no longer be ordering from Tony's. They have always served excellent food, and it is a shame that one individual can cause this to happen over red sauce.

This place had some nice and spicy salsa to start with, I loved it. Margaritas were really good. I tried the tortilla soup and loved it (got a side of fresh jalapeño to throw in it). The soup was full of veggies and and it's a huge portion! Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu

This place has the best Mexican good in the Houston area. Better than lupes. The quest is so tasty. I had a quesadilla w carnita meat. It was excellent. The service is excellent. Restrooms are clean. This place is a must go!!

Highly recommend this place!! the chicken poblano dish is absolutely superb!! So delicious!! Service was great too! We will definitely come again. Our waiter Luis recommended trying the carnitas next time. looking forward to my next visit!

My boyfriend and I LOVE this restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is great.

Ordered for the first time yesterday and my only question was why did I wait so long??? Food was amazing. I got the birriadillas and my girlfriend got the verde enchilada combo and everything was amazing. Order pickup service was friendly and timely and the staff when I got there were extremely friendly. 10/10 would recommend

This place is awesome! I was very impressed with everything! My boyfriend got the brisket quesadillas with street corn as his side and loved them. The salsa that comes with the chips is warm and so flavorful. Very similar to what I make at home. I got the brisket tacos al carbon on corn with the chicharrón boracho beans!!! we will be back!

Tony's is definitely a hidden gem! The skirt steak is delicious, succulent and melts in your mouth. The margaritas are fabulous and the customer service is outstanding! This my number one go to when I want Tex-Mex. Also the churros are a really, really good!

Used to be excellent. Now very slow and bad service. Waited 15 min for water while watching the waiters ask the tables next to us for refills. Avoid.

This was a go to before covid and we were so sad when it closed, we were afraid it was gone forever. Genuinely excited that it's back, and the redec is beautiful. The margaritas are outstanding, the food is fantastic, only outdone by the warm and friendly service. Food is fresh and served in a timely manner. This is our weekly happy hour spot. 10/10 would recommend.

The food is soooo bland... and to top it off, the owner's wife is so rude looking and acting towards others of color.

I stopped in for lunch yesterday after I saw that they recently renovated. The food was good, just like before, but they raised their prices. Way up. To the point that my enchiladas and soda was $20. It's not worth the money as there are so many other Mexican places to eat for cheaper. I won't be back until they lower their prices.

I seldom rave about a restaurant but Tony's is an exception. My family visited this establishment for the first time and was amazed by both the service and the quality of the food. We are talking real authentic Tex-Mex which I can not get enough of. Reuben and his attentive staff made us feel very welcome and came around frequently to ensure that they were meeting our needs. From the Fajitas, Enchiladas and Carnitas ( the best I have ever had BTW), you will not go wrong. Even the home made salsa was a distinctive grade above the typical offerings you find in most Mexican restaurants. Before I forget, please try the Margaritas, you will not be disappointed. I voluntarily write this review because I know how much I appreciate when someone turns me on to a great restaurant and Tony's is a great restaurant. Tucked along the feeder road of I-10, it is worth seeking this place out. As if the excellent food is not enough, the atmosphere, the personal attention and without a doubt the best Tres Leches cake you will ever sink your teeth in will defiantly make you want to come back. I know we will. Thank You Tony's for a memorable dining experience.
