Shout to ERIC!! Great service and even better recommendations. My brother and I just finished a day of fishing and was ready to eat! We asked Eric what he recommended and we went with it. Did not disappoint! We had the Lamb and Steak specials. yummy! Also with Old Fashion and Manhattan. Great portions. Unfortunately no room for desert. :). next time!

Very nice place in Mammoth. We were greeted right away and sat at the table of our choice. Everyone in the staff was very friendly and everyone had a smile. Anna assisted us today and she was great. The other staff was also amazing. Everyone was very attentive, but not excessive. The food was great. We had a party of 5 with a kiddo and everyone loved their meals. Dessert was delicious and completed the meal. Definitely a place to come when visiting for us non locals.

Had an early dinner so wasn’t very crowded and found a seat immediately. Service was exceptional, our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and had some great recommendations for things to see in the area. Our food was excellent! I had fish and chips, it was prepared perfectly. My wife had steak, which was one of the evening specials, and she loved it. Prices were a bit on the expensive side but we both felt it was well spent as we enjoyed our time here.

Google
Place is alright. Prices are high. I’d recommend meatloaf… our group ordered ribs, pork chop, steak, bison meat loaf… meatloaf appeared to be the best.

Google
Great service. Price is high but the portion is big and the flavor is great too. There are not a lot of choices in the menu but there is still plenty of meats or seafood to choose from. The restaurant is decorated with baseball scenes and has a relaxed atmosphere.

Great menu, wonderful service. Location is pretty ideal and central by the Village and the shops.

Yelp
Our server Erin was the shiny star of our family dine in dinner experience at Toomey's. She was a gem and provided such excellent service. From knowing to being extra napkins for our 2 and 4 year old, to the subtle promise of a special sticker if they are their dinner, and her patience with listening to our littles' stories, she is by far the best server we had our entire week in mammoth. Food was great! My husband enjoyed the fish and chips, I had the New England clam chowder + salmon Caesar, and our girls enjoyed the kids chicken nuggets. Ambiance was a casual, sports bar feel. Great for kiddos or if you are coming in from the slopes for a bite. We will be back next time!

Yelp
Probably one of the best dog friendly spots I've been too! We were able to bring our dog and sit inside instead of most places we have to sit outside - came in the winter so this helped a ton! Ordered the baked brie 4/5 great app if you want something sweet/savory. Bison meatloaf 4/5. This was super hearty, really filled me up plus extra to go home. Only downside was wish it came with more gravy. The Brussel sprouts that it came with were 5/5, not bitter at all. Our waitress was also really great! Super attentive brought our doggo a water bowl and checked up on us frequently The only con is the parking here as it's in the village so street parking is tough to find and paid parking is roughly $10 an hour. Tip: pay with cash as there's a discount

Yelp
A lot of the restaurants in the Mammoth ski village only have decent reviews, oftentimes because they are overpriced or have long waits or only average tasting food. We were staying really close to the village and wanted to do dinner somewhere that was walking distance, so I was looking up all the possible options. What caught my eye with Toomey's is that they are dog-friendly, even inside the restaurant! We were so excited to bring our dog with us for dinner so he could be with us in a warm place and not have to stay at our condo alone. Our server, Kevin, was extremely friendly and personable. He even brought out a water bowl for our dog! The interior has an odd seafoam green paint job on all the walls, looks like it has been that way for forever. It's more of a sports bar vibe on the inside but the menu does not consist of matching pub style food like you'd expect; they actually have some nice dishes that are more characteristic of a formal dinner restaurant. Prices are on the higher side, but that is to be expected in a ski village. Plus you at least get large portions here which is nice. We split a bowl of the clam chowder to start, they even divided it up into two separate cups for us which was really nice. I got the ribs for my meal and my husband got the buffalo meatloaf. The ribs were covered in a blackberry BBQ sauce which was actually really good. I wish it came with a little less sauce and that the ribs were more tender, but overall I was still pleased! My husband usually doesn't care for meatloaf but was intrigued by this one being made with lean buffalo meat. He ended up really liking it! We were both satisfied with our meals, everything was good but we didn't feel like it deserved 5 stars which we usually give to places that exceed our expectations. We will probably come back again next time we are in Mammoth, largely because of how dog-friendly they are compared to several other places in the village!

Yelp
Many things weird and wrong with the experience. First of all the dining area is way over in the other room. Then, server was slow but I guess you can't complain on a Saturday. Just read the menu, $17 FOR A KIDS MEAL. Fortunately, it's a little bigger than a decent portion. Then, there were not very many items on the menu anyway, which one of them cost $58 DOLLARS. They also gave one out of the nine of us kind of a crappy meal. If you want to eat out, this should not be your first priority for restaurants to visit.

Yelp
Went to Toomey's twice mid week in Winter season. Food was very good both times, best dinners we had in and around Mammoth. Slightly above average local prices for a sit down meal, but not by much. Food and service were noticeably better than what we experienced elsewhere, even on a night when there was a huge group there.

Madeline R.

Yelp
Well the service was great and everyone was very friendly. Small place with less than 10 tables. I would consider this fast food. I asked what was good and was told the lobster burritos. Well they were 3 small fried lobsters burritos that had no lobster taste at all. The lobster was a mash filling which really tasted like nothing. The black beans on the plate and the salad were good. My partner had tacos which at least you could tell what meat was present. Don't know what gave this place 4 stars but our food sure didn't. I don't think I will be back.

Yelp
TVs available! We were in town visiting and looking for a sports bar vibe where we can enjoy some football. Great option in Mammoth. We sat on the "bar end" of the restaurant. Indoor/outdoor seating available. Fish and chips were good. Pork chop was enjoyable. Carrot cake was moist.

Sue B.

Yelp
We came to Toomey's tonight as this is one of our "go to" spots. After what seemed like four years with brussels sprouts, being the seasonal vegetable, we were thrilled to try a different one. We ordered the pork chops and the bison meatloaf, and they came with mashed potatoes, cabbage and carrots. The food came out quickly and Everything was absolutely delicious. We also really enjoyed our server, Anna.

Happy C.

Yelp
Had an awesome time here. Dan was so great to us. Good vibes, good food. Will return.

Yelp
On our last night we wanted a little night life and to eat out. Toomey's was right below us at 8050 PRC. It was filled with families and was full of life. Loud, talkative & cheerful folks eating and having a good time. The menu is broad enough to appeal to everyone's taste. It's a bit pricey but our meals were delicious. My steak salad was modestly priced and loaded with perfectly cooked juicy & savory steak. The chicken wing platter was more of a meal and those who had them seemed to devour them at a fast pace. The grilled cheese Sando and homemade soup was also wonderful. Toomey's s also has a full bar for those who wanted libations. The owner & his son came out and were a delight to get to know. Soon it will be expanded to connect to a new bar-club going in next door. RC the unofficial mayor of mammoth will be the new developer and will share in the fun and help run the joint operation. Great times. See you soon!

Yelp
Last time we came to Mammoth Lakes, we came to Toomey's but we sat in their big dining room. It was fancy, food was great , service superb. It really hit the spot. This time we came to their "cafe". A super nice young lady helped us. She explained the menu and made suggestions. She even brought me a side salad of Caesar without it being on the menu. The dressing was fantastic. My wife got the same salad with tuna added to it. I got to eat her leftover and that salmon was goooooood. Didn't smell fishy and it was cooked perfectly. A young man was the chef. He knew how to cook. I got the fish taco. I got two whole pieces of fish. It was delicious and the portions were BIG. This is good and bad. It's good that we found our spot in Mammoth and the bad is that we won't go anywhere else. I am glad there is no ugly. Get it? Good, Bad and Ugly.

Yelp
Fast efficient service. Delicious food in generous portions. Try this place you will be very happy you did.

Lori V.

Yelp
The food is amazing! I tried the fish and my husband had a steak. Everything was delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they allowed our dog to sit with us in the patio. And offered to bring her a bowl of water. I love people who care about animals!! It was a perfect summer evening.

Gary G.

Yelp
Fantastic tasty food. Great customer service. Buffalo meatloaf was outstanding. Fresh salads. Baseball themed eatery. Highly recommend

Richard V.

Yelp
Food, service, and atmosphere were top notch. Very attentive wait person. Best seared ahi with salad ever had!! Wife really liked her grilled salmon w salad as well.

Tom H.

Yelp
Excellent meal in Mammoth. I highly recommend the meatloaf. The service was great and they are dog friendly.

Matt B.

Yelp
The place was packed with people and the service was still great. They let us bring our dog in to the restaurant. The waitress brought him a water dish. The food came fast and good. I would recommend Toomey's!

Wesley O.

Yelp
Food great, price high, but what can you expect for this area. Wangz were tasty and full, also good service. The ambiance was nice but there was a blinking light, eventually my buddy asked to fix it and they allowed it. There are tvs for sports watching. Go there if you're a fan of Kansas City and you will know what I mean when you get in there.

Tr N.

Yelp
We come here whenever we're in Mammoth. Food and service always great. We love the outdoor patio so we can have our dogs with us while dining. We should have split a burger! Generous portions of everything.

Stephen L.

Yelp
We ate here 4/5 nights in Mammoth. Great restaurant, good food, very friendly service. And had a really nice thanksgiving dinner, totally a surprise. Conveniently located.

Taya P.

Yelp
Great food, solid portions, and super friendly staff. There were plenty of seating options- bar, regular tables and tall tables. Would definitely return.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Delicious food, Seafood Jambalaya, Salmon, Rack of ribs, all fantastic. Service was excellent as well. This is definitely a fabulous dining experience.

D K.

Yelp
We had the Bison meatloaf and the pork chop, both were very memorable. We will make this one of our go to spots for fantastic food and friendly atmosphere.

Ted C.

Yelp
We were torn between where to go for dinner in the village but decided on Toomey's because it seemed more laid back than some of the other options. I thought it was more of a fast casual place because the kitchen was visible and seemed like a place where you walk up to order. It's dine-in which meant that my initial idea of getting a burger was nixed in favor of trying one of their heartier entrees. I also wanted to try their mushroom-sherry soup as a starter. The soup came in a large ramekin and it was a creamy start to my meal. In between, I got multiple refills on their Arnold Palmer which was mixed just right. I saw they had some game meats and I was torn between the buffalo and the elk. I asked our server Frank what he preferred. He too was torn because both of them were great but he said the buffalo meatloaf was a 'classic,' one of the first items when the restaurant that first started. The meatloaf was great, a lean-which I expected from buffalo but mushroom jus added that extra level of richness and I ate it all up. Frank was spot on and during the meal he was friendly and outgoing. I usually wouldn't get dessert but I was having such a good time that I went with their cheesecake, which was definitely something I didn't need but definitely glad I had.

Gogirl G.

Yelp
What a rip off! My husband was still hungry after two tiny crab cakes on top of a pile of Spring Mix so ordered the carrot cake. He didn't check the price on the menu as how much can cake be? Well it wax $18.95 for a piece of mediocre CC! Was so ridiculous. He got another piece for half the price on the Mountain at McCoy Station the next day and said that looked, and was way better. Been coming up to Mammoth for decades & will definitely not go to Toomeys again.

Crystal D.

Yelp
We came in for dinner on a Sunday night. The atmosphere is a sports bar with baseball memorabilia all over. I had the salmon salad and my husband had the ribs. Both dishes were just ok. I noticed there were no burgers on the menu but the couple at the table next to us ordered them so I guess this is a secret tip. The service was a bit slow so nothing too special for us here.

Greg G.

Yelp
Just enjoyed Toomey's best burger in Mammoth. It lived up to its billing. The crispy fries were awesome too! Thanks!

Amanda D.

Yelp
Expensive, but worth it. Great service. Fun options for food. My steak was cooked perfect and my husbands meatloaf was delicious. Left happy

Sheri M.

Yelp
Been Mammoth so many times and never came in. Thought it was just a pizza joint or a cafeteria. But I was wrong. The bartending staff and wait staff is amazing. Food is delicious. and seriously, these bartenders are mixologists. So good. Highly recommend.

Bay M.

Yelp
We always come here with a big party, especially when everyone wants something different to eat. This place has it all, soup, salads, tacos, wings, burgers, seafood, ribs, steak, kid's menu, etc. Perfect place to appease everyone. Very relaxed family friendly environment. Lots of sports memorabilia on the walls. Patio seating with fire pits. Food is good. Nothing really outstanding but overall great flavors. Salads are good to share. The soups are comforting. The fish tacos with mango salsa hits the spot. The wings sprinkled with bleu cheese is a win. Good service. Our server gave us tips for summer backpacking in the area. Appreciate her! Just overall a good choice for lunch or dinner in this ski town.

Kim R.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I visit Mammoth a few times a year. We have eaten at many of the yummy restaurants in town and recently ate at Toomey's for the first time. To say that the food was amazing would be an understatement. There just aren't words to describe just how yummy our meal was. We stopped in for a late lunch last Sunday and we split the buffalo meatloaf. It was like eating a delicate, savory cloud! The meat melted in my mouth, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since it graced my grateful tongue. Matt Toomey is clearly a culinary magician. I can't wait to go back to Toomey's and eat again, but I will not be only eating half of a dish there again (unless I get half of my boyfriend's too lol)

Myles H.

Yelp
WOW!! Had an amazing experience here tonight. Our Sever Dan was extremely kind and knowledgeable and helped up get seated when every other restaurant had hour waits. He recommended some specials and the meatloaf and without a doubt was one of the best meals my family has had. We had some of the best drinks in Mammoth that Dan served as well. Always had a smile on his face. 10/10 recommend and ask for Dan as your server if you have the option! This is definitely a new regular spot for us.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Always good and accommodating even on busy nights. We are SoCal residents and have been coming to mammoth since childhood. The owner is so nice and welcoming which is rare for mammoth these days. As out of towners we kinda get treated like trash everywhere but never here. Will definitely be back.

Ricardo C.

Yelp
The food here amazing and full of flavor...everything was cooked to perfection...didn't need to add any salt or pepper...after a long day or work or hitting the hills...this place will hit the spot...

Dina D.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the fish and chips, Caesar salad, and chicken tenders with BBQ sauce and fries. The fries and fish came out hot and crispy, and the tartar sauce was on point! We always hit up this spot when we come into town because they never disappoint! Great service and friendly staff.

Chelle K.

Yelp
The food here is fine, but compared to some of the dining options nearby it's nothing too noteworthy. Skip the crab cakes if you do decide to drop in for dinner - the small portions and average flavor aren't worth the added price tag.

Jill S.

Yelp
I had the buffalo meatloaf and my husband had fish n chips. My meatloaf was dry but still tasted good! My husband loved his fish n chips. He said the fries were amazing! Fast and friendly service too

Laura M.

Yelp
We were seated immediately as there was no one in the dinning room. We did go on a Tuesday mid afternoon and they do have pick up. I was drawn in by the lobster taquitos and wanted to give them a try. My husband ordered a clam chowder and fish tacos. All the food came out hot but I wasn't impressed with the taste. The lobster taquitos were subpar, however the clam chowder was good.

Alex C.

Yelp
For Ski resort food, Toomey's is pretty good! Service was helpful and very attentive. We also received our food relatively quickly. The food was pricey, but all above average. The fish and chips were moist and soft but still crispy, and the salad + ahi dressing was tart and refreshing. I've rarely had elk, and opted to try the elk rack chops. They were prepared very well, perfect medium rare cook, and minimal gamey taste. The elk was tender but lean, almost resembling a filet minion, just with those gamey elk hints. My only complaint would be the accompanying mashed potatoes; they were dry and just not very tasty. Toomey's is great village food. The portions are hearty, and the food doesn't disappoint!

Miguel C.

Yelp
WOW! First words said once i bit into and savored the lobster taquitos! The Ribs were spectacular fall off the bone quality! The cabbage and salad along with the meals were savory as well. Beers were cold! Our waiter Mitch provided exceptional service and the entire time felt we were at a family oriented establishments. Diner style. Definitely will be back.

Bonnie S.

Yelp
Good food and service. Prompt and friendly. We would go back. Clam chowder was the soup Of the day.

Jimmy D.

Yelp
Classic spot to grab a bite in the village. Pork chop was flavorful, juicy, and cooked to a perfect medium. Good portion for the price. Will be back to try more next time!

Jazzy B.

Yelp
Customer service was good in terms of the server. Low rating because of the food quality. The meatloaf and taco were good but was extremely disappointed with the elk chops. Ordered medium rare and came out almost medium well; barely pink. Overcooked, Very hard and dry. Last time I came in 2018 it was delicious but this time was terrible. Maybe chef changed but hella disappointed with quality especially for a $50 dish.

T R.

Yelp
Horrible if not outright disgusting. We come to Mammoth 2-3 times/yr. and I've dined here before. I've never left with a great impression, and this time was just bad. We went last night on a Tuesday. The service was fine...friendly and fast. The food came out very fast, but I think that was because the food was already cooked, sitting under a heat lamp or something. The food was next to unedible. I ordered the ribs. They were dried out tough, chewy, and nearly no flavor. We also ordered "hot wings." The presentation was like," Oh hell, what is this?" They were full sized chicken wings that had no sauce of any kind, and they too were dried out tough and no flavor. We ordered the "World Famous " cesar salad. For $20, it was literally just lettuce and dressing....nothing special. That said, it was the most edible item we ordered. You would think that with a huge annual music festival in town this weekend, the restaurant would be on it "A" game. Not the case Waste of money for our " nice dinner out" night while in town. Will never return. One star is for the service.

Cecile A.

Yelp
Great location in The Village. Super friendly and helpful staff. Menu that is out of the ordinary. Really enjoyed the lobster taquitos.

Conor E.

Yelp
This restaurant was relatively empty passing by, but it was undoubtably the best meal we had in Mammoth. Far better than any of the other village restaurants. We had a party of 12 and they seated us quickly. Everyone loved their food: the lamb, seafood jambalaya, pork chop, buffalo meatloaf, and seared Ahi were exquisite. Amazing flavor. The mashed potatoes reminded me of my grandma's famous potatoes. Also amazing atmosphere with baseball memorabilia dedicated to Royals and Padres legends. Great dining experience and massive wine pours.

Cori C.

Yelp
Solid food and service. Easy seating for 10 at lunch on a snowy day. I was super pleasantly surprised!

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Ordered to go. Ribs were so dry they were inedible. Fry's tasted like they were day old left under a warmer. Salads order with dressing on the side and were delivered over dressed. On a Positive note, the strip steak was very tasty.

Adrian A.

Yelp
Pretty Solid! My friends and I went here for dinner because they recommended it. The ambiance is definitely a baseball fan kinda vibe because of the memorabilia and posters in every corner. The customer service is top knot good with employees that are happy to help. This restaurant is in the upper side of sport bar/ family type of scenery. I can just imagine watching and dinning here during a World Series.. must be pretty dope :) My girlfriend and I shared on their Grilled Pork Rack Chop. We were glad we did shared it because the portion was quite hefty. The pork chop dish was delicious because they put a berry glazed on a salt marinated pork chop, which gave the meat a flavorful experience. Although, I suggested a gravy on their mash potato cause it's sorta bland without any sauce. One of our friends ordered their World Greatest Chicken Wings, which was not what I expected. The chicken is quite okay and definitely not greatest, however it did satisfied my belly. Although, their prices are in the expensive side of the spectrum, so not really a big fan of that. Overall, if you love baseball and American food.. this is the place to be, but if not try somewhere else :/
