Dinner and a Boston Activity: Planetarium/Observatory Edition | Eater Boston

"A neighborhood bar-and-kitchen that leans toward elevated comfort food—think fried plantain chips with cheese, chicharron, and mofongo—positioned as a convenient dining option near event venues for a casual meal either before or after activities." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Google
Top Mix is a good spot for a quick bite and a drink with some really good desserts and a diverse menu. The staff is super nice and the food is always fresh. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the area.

Went to a late lunch with coworkers to celebrate holidays .was such a great experience, service, the atmosphere that allow you to be in your own conversation even if the place was full, food was great, good size, tasty and enjoyable , every one was happy with their meal. I don't drink but my coworkers stated that all was delightful.

Google
The barbecue ranch chicken salad was amazing. Only issue was the music was extremely too loud in the back room. We literally couldn't hear each other sitting next to each other and it was cold because nobody thought to cut the heat on.

Kenia C.

Google
Music was not good. Entering it seemed nice but the environment called GHETTO and hood. The food quality was great prices NOT WORTH THE FOOD QUALITY but service was also good. The young lady was very attentive and when we didn’t like the flight drinks she did change. For 2 ppl ordered 2 appetizers 2 entrees 2flights (WHICH WAS HORRIBLE) 2 desserts coming to almost a bill of $195 and they take out their own tip not worth it. So I won’t go back to this location but do hear JO ENVIROMENT MUCH BETTER.

Google
It was a wonderful experience at top mix. Food, atmosphere, and service is great.(shout out to Darlin she was great with meeting the needs of the party and was very nice to be around).

Google
Top Mix service was excellent , our server Judy was amazing, friendly make sure we had everything we needed throughout our time being there. Highly recommend this place. Definitely be back soon.

Looking for fish and chips close to the hotel and this place popped up! Reviews looked great so I stopped in to try. Location is buried. It feels like an alley/sidestreet, but  that all isolation disappears when u step inside. The bar is front and center when u walk in, and dining tables are past that. Place has a great spanish/carribean feel & is super clean - even the bathrooms! ...which is a good sign. Young waitress was plesant and got order for 4 correct without writing down a word! Impressive for her age. Lemonade was good at 1st..not to sweet -how I like it...but carried a slight fountain taste. I dont think it's made in-house. Too bad. Every resturant really should offer freshly made tasty lemonade and house-brewed Iced tea.  It really raises the bar! Food was really good.  Chicken strips and fries were plentiful and had decent flavor. Fish and chips with coleslaw was also a huge serving. Mufungo mound with carribean chicken was tasty with great flavor.  It's a nice spot with good food, but a bit out of the way for me.

Google
Omg, TopMix is definitely the place to go! The chef put their foot in this food! We had brunch. When I tell you, we didn't add any syrup or ketchup to anything. We had the cherry French toast eggs and home fries. The portions were more than enough. Prices aren't bad. The servic as soon as you walk in was welcoming. Shout out to D if you want great service she is your girl! They have events here etc. I can't wait to come back to visit Boston to try there dinner menu. It's definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Datenight with hubby was amazing! It was our 1st time. The vibe, ambiance and food was top tier. We will definitely be back

Yelp
Loved this spot! They have an extensive menu and a full bar!! I didn't try any of their alcoholic drinks this time but there were quite a few that intrigued me so I'll likely be back to try those. I tried the top mix sampler to get an assortments of apps to try and it was quite good (but also huge, definitely something to share with a few others!!) the Dominican fried cheese was one of my favs on this but the pork shoulder and chicken was also very good. Wasn't a huge fan of the plantain chips, but I typically don't like plantain anyway. I also tried the guac and chips which was simple but good. They were the good kind of chips with it too. For meals we got the marinated steak tips which were very flavorful as well as the Caribbean bbq chicken with Mac & cheese which was probably my favs Mac & cheese was super cheesy and the chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned/sauced. Also tried fried Oreos for the first time for dessert and they were so good!

Yelp
Wow, well where to begin. Chose this place near by Son's Brookline apartment, where we could all find something on the menu. Made a reservation, unnecessary at 530 pm on a Sunday. Music was blaring very loudly like it was disco time, but only one table was occupied besides our threesome. Lighting was pink or purple from neon, made the food looks strange. Odd ambience for such an early hour. Ordered a tropical drink and some cokes. Drink was called One night in Old San Juan and was sweet, but unremarkable. Went straight to the entrees without appetizers this time. Son ordered a burger with maple and bacon side fries, and seemed pretty satisfied. Spouse and I both ordered the tropical rice bowl. He had the Caribbean honey baked chicken, hold the avocado. I had the grilled shrimp with no beans on my bowl. I asked for the shrimp to be grilled well done, as opposed to sauteed but they came out mushy anyway. Orders were accurate but we did not enjoy our meals. Sad because the ingredients were hard to find under the MOUNTAIN of sauces piled on the rice bowl. Glop squirted all over, glop of multiple kinds, even, which obscured any flavor for the meats. The bone in chicken was impossible to eat in a bowl. Super messy but nice char. A side plate would have been appreciated. Anyway, did NOT take our massive leftovers home because of the glop. Never again.

Yelp
I came by on a Wednesday afternoon and sat outside. There were a good amount of people dining in. We were serviced by Emmanuel, who was extremely friendly and helpful. I ended up trying the top mix Caribbean flight. All of the drinks were more on the sweeter side and extra sugary. I also tried the beef pastelitos. They were a little small but really juicy and flavorful. I will most likely be back for those and to try other menu items. There was also an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill.

Yelp
Coming in here its pretty loud but I did enjoy the music! We first ordered the top mix sampler which had fried pork shoulder, Dominican fried cheese, chicken tenders, and tostones. The fried pork shoulder was so good I decided to get that with my entree. I got the chipotle inspired bowl which was a pretty huge portion! I found it really hard to get to the bottom where the rice/beans were. I like that they had virgin drinks and they were really good too.

Yelp
The food is just okay but the ambience is nice. We grabbed seats at the bar. The bartenders were very attentive. The shrimp and guacamole bites were good. The burger was like a frozen patty and smelled of gas from the stove. It also had a slight aftertaste. The fries were lackluster. They would have been better if cooked 2 minutes longer and dusted with season salt. I will definitely go back for the vibes but not for the food.
google avatar

Anshita S.

Yelp
Had a nice lunch here coupe of weeks back. The ambiance is more chill and casual. the music was a bit too loud for us, specially considering it was the middle of the afternoon and there was just 1 more table occupied. The service was friendly and quick. There aren't a lot of vegetarian options, so keep that in mind. The street corn was delicious. I had the beans and rice as my main dish, the beans were tasty. Husband had the burger, it was just your average burger, nothing to write home about. The fries were nice and crispy. The sweet plantains were very good. Overall a good meal.

Magali G.

Yelp
We always love coming to Top Mix for dinner and now we also will love coming for brunch. The food and drinks are always so good (and their drinks are strong!) and the vibes are on point. The service is always great too, even when they're super busy.

Yelp
Last night me and my girlfriend tried to go here and check it out for the first time. Needless to say it will be the last time because we walked in there was no host at the door we had to wave somebody over it who appeared to be the host and she seated us. Restaurant seemed a little busy and understaffed. My friend and I sat and waited at that table for nearly 20 minutes with no waiter acknowledging us or coming to service or ask us anything. Noticed that other people who walked in after us were being serviced and yet no acknowledgment from no waiter. I then got up and went over to the bar to see if I could get help and person there just kind of brushed me off. After all of that and no acknowledgement me and my friend picked up and left. I would like to note that we are black and I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it but it sure did feel like it. Very unprofessional and it was very upsetting to pay for a ride there to not even eat or be acknowledged and that's too bad because the food did look good there and we were excited to try. I do understand that the restaurant business can get hectic but this it's just unacceptable and cannot happen.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our experience here! We live in the area and wanted to try something nearby. We stumbled upon this place on Yelp and were able to walk over. It's a really cute local spot. We made reservations online but they don't seem to use their online reservation system because when we arrived and were expecting a patio seat, they were all full so we had to be seated inside. That was a little annoying but the inside was nice and lively. Really fun atmosphere with the music and decor. As for food I tried the La Piña burger and really enjoyed it. The pineapple was a nice touch. The fries were just okay but I appreciated it came with a good amount. We also ordered drinks which were really delicious!! Overall we had a fun experience here and would definitely come back.

Yelp
A new place for me to try. Tucked away in a residential area near South Bay shopping center. First entering, I thought was extremely small but there's more seating in the back. We unfortunately were seated for 2 way in the back right under the speakers so my ears were pretty much busted by the end of it. This was cinco de mayo so it was quite busy for sure so I tried to be lenient. We ordered mango and guava margaritas from cinco special, 2 chicken tacos, 2 beef tacos both with pineapple pico added which were $1.50 extra, Buffalo chicken pastelito, beef pastelito, chicken and waffles, and whisky bbq burger. About 15-20 minutes in and we still hadn't gotten our drinks and then our pastelitos came which we were ok about. Then 10 minutes later, we got our tacos, and still no drinks... So the waitress checked on it. We got them another 10 minutes later. Buffalo chicken pastelitos wasn't too bad but the beef one was super dry and not that much flavor. The tacos weren't great and the pineapple pico that we added saved it but all the taste was pico. Our main entrees came and was very disappointed. Ordered the burger medium and it was basically raw. Hard to eat and didn't taste whisky or any significant flavor. The chicken and waffles was the better of the two but the chicken was kinda dry. Waffle was good. Came with 3 condiments - hot honey, syrup, and melted butter. Service the whole time was pretty bad, almost nonexistent except when she came to our table. We had asked for ketchup when our food came and it never came or was asked about either.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible food and drinks and the service made me feel like I was a regular customer, instead of the tourist I am, here on my first visit to Boston! For anyone staying anywhere NEAR this place, I highly recommend it and ask the recommendations. Our server knew how to make us feel welcome and we are definitely coming back again during our trip!

Yelp
FOOD was for 10/10 tacos tuesday $2 tacos $6 margaritas The service was great good energy and since they did it over better lighting nice paintings it's beautiful inside now

Yelp
** JP Location** This is a pretty restaurant. But that's it. Service is bad. Food was not good ( great presentation tho). Chicken undercooked Elotes tasted strange. One night in Old San Juan was a thumbs down. 2 stars for the decor. I wanna go into details, but I'm really too tired to write this post. PLUS , I dislike writing negative reviews about restaurants ( especially black and Latino joints) Automatic service charge . Had a problem using my card and they blamed me and my card, when it was clearly their machine. I could go on, but that's all I have the energy for. Won't be back

Yelp
Had a nice date night with babes. Service was great. Drinks were good. I had a mocktail and babe had a coconut cocktail thing but he enjoyed it. We had steak and cheese egg rolls and buffalo chicken empanadas. I had stud bbq steak bites, mashed potatoes and asparagus and babe had fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Everything was delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
The overall decor was breathtaking with awesome street art characters on the walls. The food and drinks were great def going back

Yelp
I haven't been here for a while and the remodel is gorgeous. If you want an upbeat vibe with exotic and inventive cocktails and bangin' Caribbean food, come here. The service is fantastic, and the vibe is great. I can't wait to bring friends. Brunch is amazing -- get the fried Oreos.

Yelp
Overall definitely an enjoyable place to grab a drink in J.P. - they have 3 'areas' in the restaurant - a high top bar area, 'restaurant' seating, and a small patio. Extra points for opentable reservations. We ordered a range of different drinks within our party and everyone was really pleased with the taste. It's predominantly sweet/juice based fruity drinks - I will say we didn't necessarily taste the alcohol (may be a pro or con). The menu was super extensive and there are definitely things we would want to try in the future. We got the potato wedges as an app and they were pretty mediocre. The rest of the menu wasn't that inspiring for vegetarians so I'm not sure we'd come back to try food. The ambiance in general was really nice, only qualm is that the music is QUITE loud - we had to speak up to be heard within our group.

Tanisha C.

Yelp
it was a great time! Julvy was a great server and the drinks was bomb. Taco Tuesday's is an excellent idea.
google avatar

Kelly O.

Yelp
Pretty solid delivery option, with a menu that has a little something for everyone.,My recc is the mofongo and garlic shrimp, which was flavorful and moist, and worth ordering again. The Caribbean potato wedges were just as advertised, a decent app- though the mac and cheese wasn't anything to write home about, and note that the BBQ chicken is on the sweet side.

Yelp
My spot music, food and atmosphere! So good. Roxbury food tastes better than JP! Cant wait for it to open back up
google avatar

Yelp
This place on the weekends is a vibe. It is going to be popping so be prepared to wait for a table. There is limited parking but it is near a few orange line stations and there is frequent bus service. The drinks are good but you may have to wait, like a lot of places they are understaff so do be wild about it. I say read up on the menu, ask you questions and put your food in with your drinks. I can't the food here as I only had drinks. But base on the Roxbury location it is good but can be heavy, like depending on what you order, its comfort food.

Camille Y.

Yelp
The food was outstanding! I visited the Cambridge location and was blown away by the GORGEOUS ambience, the spacious and comfortable seating, and the warm and welcoming staff. I came for lunch and ordered the shrimp and plantain bowl to go and was super pleased with the generous portion. This dish was nothing short of incredible! The perfectly grilled and juicy shrimp blended nicely with the beans, rice, mango and red cabbage. It was topped off with crispy sweet plantains. The flavors all came together well. I would rate this a 10 out of 10 dish. I would also recommend Top Mix Cambridge as a cool place for dinner and drinks with friends. or family. You get a great bang for your buck. The serving size is worth it! Can't wait to try the Jamaica plane in Roxbury locations..
google avatar

Gabby N.

Yelp
The food here is really good. I loved the fried plantain and the chicken wings. The chicken wings are also a good size not like tiny wings from Wing Stop. Portions are great too. I always get delivery so I've never been inside but I hope to catch a meal in the restaurant one day.

anthony v.

Yelp
Slow service , security guy is not on top of his shit . Bartender is attentive and friendly . I don't recommend this place to anyone,

Alexandria B.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible experience. Our waitress completely forgot about our table...we sat for over an hour waiting for our food, only for her to come back and admit she never even put in our order. By that point, we didn't even want the food anymore. Yet somehow, they still charged us a $22 gratuity tip... for what, exactly? The bill was $145, and all we got were drinks. The one person who did get their food was served burnt asparagus and a steak that was practically inedible. How do you forget an entire table? Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.
google avatar

Dee C.

Yelp
When we first walked in we didn't see anyone but was quickly helped. Darlene sat us and took our order. She is an absolute delight, she displayed amazing customer service. She was so friendly. Nadine was our bar tender. Her smile is impeccable, they are delightful and made the visit comforting. There is an option for inside and outside. The menu seems a lil limited but there are plenty of great options. The BBQ steak tips was amazing and so were the wedges. I think if they drizzle ranch and spicy mayo over them add bacon it would be a smash. Wonder if they would consider adding that to the menu and naming it after me. It was a great trip and ill def go again.
google avatar

Kwame S.

Yelp
Chicken wings and fries were fresh. Needed to add salt but was good. Service could be better. Took over 30 mins for food. Server was polite. Restaurant was clean. I plan on going back soon.
google avatar

Kiara V.

Yelp
It was just ok - we got the Top Mix sampler with microwaved tostones, fried cheese cubes, over fried pork strips, and chicken tenders with a side of white rice and mediocre beans & then fries. A lot of the items were super salty like the fries and the chicken. Tostones are supposed to be crunchy and they weren't, why would you ever serve microwaved tostones that are soggy? The audacity lmao. Most of the clientele here is white so I guess they wouldn't know what good Spanish food is anyway.... But to a true Puerto Rican, you will know this is not good food. It is simply ~ok enough to eat. We even ordered dessert that was on the menu but they apparently didn't have available. Fried Oreos with ice cream but no ice cream? The only reason I am giving 3 stars and not 2 is because of our server. He was amazing & I wish I would've gotten his name. Super kind and went above and beyond. When there wasn't ice cream for the fried Oreos, he took it upon himself to get strawberries all the way in the basement for me. I would honestly, give this place another try just because of him & the fact that they are open late night. Lastly, of course plating and presentation also bump this up to 3 stars. However, the food alone? You can find way better and fresher Spanish food elsewhere.

Yelp
I was actually at the Roxbury location but it seems that that particular location did not have a Yelp page to check-in from so I will provide my review here. I came here on a Wed night which seems to have been Karoke night. Listening to people trying to sing is always a fun time over some drinks lol. The service was great and menu looked real good. The party I was with only had the guac and nachos and the Shrimp Plaintain Guacomole bites which were all delicious. Their guac was on point so being the main focus of what we were munching it all made it worthwhile. Aside from that we were really having drinks and enjoying quality time. Large TV screens let me keep up with the Celtics game as well. The Karaoke can get a little loud occasionally which was a little conflicting to our table talk but we worked it out and had a great time regardless. Nice vibe to the place as well so I would definitely recommend it and also plan on going back at some point. I actually want to try several things on the menu so they did peek my curiousity for more good food.
google avatar

Dana D.

Yelp
The very first thing that I would advise you to do is to RUN to their instagram and hit the follow button! This is because they do weekly weekend brunch giveaways. Yes, you heard that correctly! It's usually a brunch for two; you get two entrees and a stack of whatever pancakes you choose (excluding steak and seafood). I've won a couple times already which has given myself and my significant other to try multiple things off of their menu. I'm a sucker for a good mocktail (as I was prego and currently nursing), not only do they have good cocktails but the mocktails hit as well. It's very lively, beautiful establishment, bright during the day, the music is fun, makes you want to get up and dance while you're in the middle of eating. The food is really, really good. The only thing I will say is that I wish the menu was bigger with more options. The staff are always welcoming, smiling and overall look happy to be at work. They also host different events too which is cool, one time when I was there for brunch, they were setting up balloons and decor for a valentines dinner event.

Yelp
I love this place I went here for brunch and the food and drinks were so good!!! Instagramable and delicious

Yelp
This appetizer plate was the best decision I made tonight. This appetizer of plantains and blocks of Dominican fried cheese was so tasty I couldn't save enough room to finish my entrée. The Peach Dream was fruity and sweet. The Kiwi, Do You Love Me was also sweet with that unique kiwi flavor. The Caribbean Flight offered a variety of sugar rimmed Caipirinha drinks. They have a large dining area and a couple of well placed TVs with the Red Sox game on, but it doesn't give sports-bar vibe. The music makes you want to dance in your seat as you savor your food. Well spiced, and a beautiful proper medium on the steak tips. Close to the Sam Adams brewery tour. Some parking available behind the building. Our waiter, Jesus, was friendly, efficient, and had a lovely smile. JP location.
google avatar

Des B.

Yelp
Great spot with a light and airy design! I will give them another chance since they are newer and getting off the ground. My Coquito French toast was cold. The waffles were fluffy and delicious. The chicken was a little too crispy on the outside and a bit dry on the inside. Espresso martini wasn't the best I've ever had, but good enough. Staff were great. Overall experience 7.5/10
google avatar

Vivian C.

Yelp
Bottles of cool refreshing water now top each of the tables in the back room of Top Mix Bar & Kitchen, which was a nice convenience. As always, service was pleasant. Food took some time to prepare. And the golden plantain chips with dipping sauce were satisfying. The fried fish pieces filling the fish tacos $13.99 were a better portion than the last time I had enjoyed the dish myself. However, on this visit I was sharing the Roasted Garlic Lime Pico De Gallo Steak Tacos $13.99 and the Avocado and Bacon Chopped Salad $9.99 (avocado no longer grilled) topped with shrimp $7.99 (for 8). Their grilled shrimp were perfectly cooked as always! The salad refreshing and crisp. However, while the steak in the tacos were perfectly cooked, it was somehow lacking in flavor. While the sauce did something to make up for the flavor lack, the tacos were also lacking in a crisp element. It was an unexpected disappointment. Another DC agreed and could only manage to eat one of the two steak tacos on his plate. 3 star visit at a 4 star location. *** Consensus from previous visits reiterated: Come when you have time for a leisurely meal. Come for fried food. Come for their plantain chips and accompanying dipping sauce.

Yelp
A little pricey but it is Boston tacos were good we had a few apps plantains came with cheese balls and 2 wing apps about 6-7 wings a plate we all had fish tacos pretty good will order again the guys had quite a few drinks forgot to take all the pics so sorry , our waiter Jesus (hey-Zeus) was absolutely ...

Yelp
I went to the JP location, The decor and seating arrangements were nice. The drinks are delicious and a good selection of drinks, The habanero mango wings were on point. I love the atmosphere, decor and photo wall. I also had the honey chicken that came with mofongo was delicious but I felt like the plaintains in the mofongo needed to be smashed finer and it needed more liquid to soften it up or at least more garlic butter. That marinade on that honey chicken was yummy. I also tried the shrimp avocado plaintain cups appetizer. That was good. Other than that It is definitely a fun place to be w a date or w friends. The latin music is great and will surely get you feeling the vibes.

Yelp
Definitely going back with hubby great service delicious food and fast ordered waitress was nice too

Yelp
Okay, so this place was sooooo nice! I think we arrived just when they opened so it was empty, but I reallly enjoyed everything I ordered! The drinks were a little too sweet, but once I told my server, they remade one without a hassle. I would definitely recommend!!

Anaika J.

Yelp
Food is great, service is good. Nice ambiance. The people are friendly and you will enjoy good eats and vibes.
google avatar

Johanna G.

Yelp
This place is really good. I know there are two locations, so I'm reviewing the one in Roxbury. Whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I need to get this food. It is a Latin place (I think) that has a variety of Latin carribean food - mofongo, with a blend of your typical bar food, including wings, nachos, burgers, etc. I've ordered dine in and take out and haven't had any problems. The ambiance is that of a bar, with music and classic bar seating. I definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Wern O.

Yelp
TLDR: good Caribbean styled food and drinks Came here on a Wednesday night. They seemed to be a little understaffed. When you first enter it's a little confusing. There's a bar and 3 small cocktail tables on the edge. If you go in further past the bar to the right there's a dining area. Took us a couple minutes to be seated but food was great. The steak tips were excellent as were the rice and beans. My wife got the fish and chips which was good but not as great. I got the coco taso drink which was excellent. If I had more time I would've tried more of their drinks.
google avatar

Candice S.

Yelp
Went to the JP location and it was a nice experience. The server was sweet but everything took a long time, especially the drinks. It was clear this was a no frills experience which I'm not mad at I just hated seeing some workers chill at the bar while others were killing themselves. Either way the food was nice and fresh and the cocktails were cute. Loved the drink options and that might have been the best part of the experience. Desserts were not good so don't even try. The cake had clearly fallen apart and was crumbly. The cheesecake had not fully set so it was mushy. I'd go back but not for dessert.
google avatar

Ally B.

Yelp
Ordered takeout, and food was stupendously delicious! Asparagus was seasoned well, mashed potatoes cooked to perfection, and shrimp was plump, and also seasoned nicely.

Yelp
** JP LOCATION ** I've been to this location several times & had a great experience every time! I've always leave with a smile on my face, stomach full, and satisfied! Food is AMAZING and my server Miimii has always made my experience better, she's on top of everything and very efficient. Highly recommend this location and this server.

Yelp
M and I popped into Top Mix for dinner on a weeknight. We loved The Frogmore (RIP) so we were glad to see a new restaurant open up in this space. Overall I would say we were very happy with our food but a little underwhelmed with the drinks. I'd say I had more of a 3.5 star experience, but rounding up because new restaurants always need a little love while they work out the kinks. Music was absurdly loud for a weeknight. It wasn't very crowded and I could barely hear M seated across from me at a small table. They should definitely lower the volume when it's not late evening and more of a bar scene. We started with two margaritas. M had the classic margarita and I had one of the fruit flavored ones (I forget which). They were ultimately fine but definitely tasted like it was made with a sour mix rather than from scratch. The fruit one was also wayyyy too sweet for me. That's a personal preference though so really it's just on me for ordering the wrong drink. The star of the evening was for sure the food. We both ordered the mofongo which was so so good. I had the chicharon de pollo (crispy chicken) which was absolutely perfect. I scarfed down every piece. M ordered the pork and loved his as well. The crispy pork rind on the side was also super delicious. Our waters were served in plastic cups which I really dislike. It's 2022. Why are we using single use plastic at a seated restaurant. That genuinely makes me so frustrated. Our server was friendly and attentive and food came out pretty quickly. Overall I'd come back for the entrees but maybe stick to beer or try a cocktail that's not a margarita.

Yelp
It was my first time here and my friend recommend it and I do not regret it at all. We started off with garlic parm chicken wings. They looked delicious but only recommendation I have for the cook is to pluck the feathers. So unfortunately we didn't touch that batch but it was fried to perfection. As for my meal I ordered Mofongo with chicken it was mouth watering. They did a great job with the flavor and I washed it down with a mango mojito and that was also very refreshing.

Yelp
This place is GREAT! We got there on a Friday night around 8pm and ordered a few drinks and wings and my friend ordered the top mex burger. The honey hot winds are VERY good and the burger was pretty good from what he said. The drinks are delicious! And the vibe is super cool. To be frank, we came for the friend Oreos and were pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem! (Please, get the fried Oreos) They were playing really dope music, I can see this being a chill spot for my friends and I. I also liked that there was a diverse bunch of people there, and the staff was extremely personable! Since we got there a littler later, parking was a bit tough. The resident is kind of in the cut and I parked on one of the side streets. But there is plenty of parking. The location is a bit questionable, to be honest, but definitely worth exploring outside all the gentrification that's going on. Super dope spot, will be back for sure!

Yelp
The tables were socially distanced, thoroughly cleaned prior to patron use, and all hosts/waitress's had masks. It was awesome! The drinks were amazing (very delicious & strong). We ordered the Top Mix Carribean flight ($19.99) for 4 different flavored Capirihna's and the "Night in Old San Juan," and everything was delicious. For food, we only ordered the Top Mix Sampler platter ($25.99) which comes with fried cheese bites, chicken tenders, fried plantains, and fried pork with a MayoKetchup sauce. Well worth it and excellent pairing with the drinks. Perfect drinking food. The vibes inside were also very chill/vibe-y! All top Latin & hip hop songs. We went on a Thursday to avoid high traffic weekend crowds and it was still lit! Overall, My sister and I enjoyed ourselves very much (even bought drinks to go ) and will definitely come back again!!
