Top Notch Barbeque

I ordered from DoorDash and I am a very critical about my ribs. So much so I like them dry so that I can fully taste the smoke and seasoning. Not only were they flavorful they were tender…. Top Notch Barbeque got that TENDERISM and FLAVORISM l😂 👍🏾👍🏾

I went to this place Sunday, where I have been going every since it’s open I ordered my usual Sundayspecial slam rib Dinner but this Sunday the ribs wasn’t smoked on the grill. They were baked in the oven and was horrible. Let alone I asked for a slab they gave me a half a slab Because they’re no longer doing the special which was cool I spent $21 For some oven baked ribs when I called up there and told them that the ribs hadn’t been smoked that they were oven cooked or boiled I forget which one I said they responded. We don’t boil our ribs. No, you oven. Bake them and they were horrible. I don’t know if it was too cold to fire up to Grill, but I love this place. I came every Sunday but no more I don’t like being tricked.

The shrimp was a great size, fresh, tender and juicy; they also give you a nice amount. The cajun fries were pretty decent. I'd def return for an order of shrimp. I'm not sure why this place has an avg rating of 3.8, but all was well during my visit including customer service. The guy even tossed in an extra sauce for free.

The food was finger licking good. The rib tips were falling off the bone, the hot water cornbread and the blue raspberry koolaid? wheew! I highly recommend !!! They are TOP Notch for a reason.

Stopped in On my way to work. Waited for at least a good 15 minutes to end up with tough dry rib tips i ask for my sauce on the side glad i did cause it was horrible as well. Will not be returning

I ordered the rib tip dinner on door dash.. Ribs were alittle tough. But the overall dinner was good. I had rib tips Mac n cheese and greens. And the banana pudding was delicious!

Food was great first soul food restaurant I ever been to that had hot water cornbread 10/10

Listen if you haven't tried Top Notch BBQ on 7 and Southfield you are crazy. This food was definitely that deal, they also have turkey chops and turkey ribs. I got the beef ribs and I was not disappointed and the shrimp was off the chain, prices are very reasonable. You can get 2 dinners for 25. Don't forget to try the peach cobbler and banana pudding. You will not be disappointed

Fire! Chef L always got the goods!! I recommend anything on that menu, especially the seafood Mac!!

I stopped by and tried their 2 for $25 special. I ordered fried catfish with greens and mac and cheese on one plate, and rib tips with sweet potatoes and potato salad on the other. The rib tips were definitely the best part of the meal. They were tender, flavorful, and cooked very well. The fried catfish was also good. The sides were disappointing though. The greens and mac and cheese were just okay and the potato salad was honestly terrible. The Kool Aid was decent, not too sweet but drinkable. If you are going strictly for the meats you might enjoy it, but the sides need major improvement. Overall it did not live up to the name.
