Top Note

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was perfect, cozy seating, great views, and that relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. But the real star of the night was JC, the bartender. He makes the best smoked Old Fashioned in the area, no question. Smooth, balanced, perfectly done… it’s one of those drinks you end up telling people about. It’s where we ended up meeting new friends and having real conversations, the kind you don’t always find when you’re traveling. The whole place just has that welcoming energy that pulls people together. If you’re anywhere near this hotel, do yourself a favor and stop by the rooftop. Great drinks, great people, great memories. Highly recommend!

Top Note was just that, a high note on my stay in Nashville. I went there my first night for dinner after a long plane ride — the service was incredible (Thank you, Nate!!), the food was amazing, and the vibe was perfect. Our server was kind, flexible, and made us feel at home. I split with Gnocchi with my mom, it was amazing!! (The picture shows the half portion). We sat out on the rooftop, a friend ended up joining us late and when it got chilly, we moved around the fire place for dessert. Our server didn’t miss a beat with all of those unexpected changes. I loved Top Note so much, I ended up going back every night of my stay— it did not disappoint! Each night was just as good as the first. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, I can’t thank Nate enough!

We had a great experience. The bartender, JC, made us great drinks and made the atmosphere even better. Recommend if you’re staying at the hotel to take advantage of this restaurant and bar.

If I could give The Top Note’s bar staff more than 5 stars, I would! JC, Annabelle, and Jessica made our week-long visit absolutely incredible. They were on the ball every night, serving drinks with lightning speed and infectious energy. Their fun, personable vibes turned every evening into a party—chatting with us like friends while keeping the bar running smoothly. These three are the heart and soul of The Top Note, and we can’t wait to return for more of their magic!

This place is top notch a must see. Favorite bar by far. It was our anniversary and the musician Misy sang a song about Colorado for us which was beautiful. JC, Annabelle, and Jessica made us feel at home. They offered exceptional service and made every cocktail with love. I feel like I’m with family not a guest at a bar. I would highly recommend. We will definitely be coming back.

I had such a great time at top note. This is such a little gem and I think one of Nashville‘s best kept secrets. It’s a simple menu, but the food was great (I love the Caesar salad!) The drinks are good too. I had a simple vodka with cranberry but it was a nice pour and tasted very fresh. The staff are really friendly. Although there was a little wait to be seated because they were pretty busy, the hostess (Erin I think was her name) was really friendly and nice before seating us at our table. I think the rooftop views are amazing. It’s close enough to Downtown Nashville to feel a part of everything but far enough away to not have to deal with the traffic. I really do love this little spot!

Atmosphere was absolutely amazing. We came for dinner and there was plenty of seating. Indoor and outdoor around 8:30 outside has been heated patio so great for friends. I ordered the creamy Cajun pasta. It was a 3/5. Too watery and not enough seasoning. Fried pickles too salty. Service was great and fast. I would go back to try a different entree.

Honestly I’m from California I travel a lot for work and when I travel into Nashville I wouldn’t stay anywhere else but here. The team is very family oriented they are very friendly they are so helpful and above all else they are good at what they do providing a welcoming and comfortable environment. Bartenders upstairs are incredible from JC Annabelle to Alivia and Courtney running that talent and hosting they are all running that rooftop making sure they check on you always. They talk to you friendly and recommend places around the area with honest reviews Alivia will never forget your drink JC will never have your drink empty Annabelle does not leave you without company (very friendly and killer spicy margarita ) Courtney is the coolest person you ever meet To top it off from the moment you check in Christiana and Ciara are the most helpful any complaints any accommodations they are there to make you feel at home to the best of their ability. Also a plus live music is great and food is incredible birria quesadilla

Mood- Rooftop! Stopped here for a quick drink after the foot game & just wanted to recap with some vibes. Sadly they were closed prior to for an event but didn't stop the party. The views are really nice with about 3 different angles. The spinach dip was ok. Nothing special really. Glass of champagne is my go to when I want a sip & convo. Think doubling back here will be a monthly to do.

Sooo great place for drinks and to enjoy the view but the food is a little 'meh' - not bad but nothing to go out of your way for at all. Service was very friendly though and the staff tried hard. Drinks were also very tasty and have a good selection of mocktails too. The best thing? The s'mores which are totally shareable and perfect to enjoy on the rooftop!

If you're looking for a nice view, zero atmosphere, and terrible service -- this is the bar for you. The only thing this place has going for it is convenience; it's located on the top floor of the hotel we stayed at. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Our "waitress" handed us menus and took our order -- then disappeared. It took roughly 37 minutes to receive a Miller Lite. That number is approximate because I didn't start timing until it was already taking far too long. We got our second round only after tracking down the manager. That round arrived 11 minutes later with an apology from our server, who claimed she was "so busy." For context: only three tables were occupied on the entire patio. The bar seemed fully staffed -- or at least fully staffed with people letting us know we were no longer welcome. At 11:50, three different employees (not including our server, naturally) stopped by to inform us the patio closed at midnight. At 11:55, the staff made sure we got the message by flashing the lights. Thankfully, we had just finished the two drinks we managed to get over a 90-minute visit. If you're looking to be overcharged and under-served, this is your place. Otherwise, do yourself a favor: skip the elevator ride to the 7th floor and take an Uber to Broadway. You'll save time, money, and more importantly -- your patience. Even the DMV staffed by sloths would provide better service.

Stayed for vacation and I'm a lazy and low key person. Great place to hang out on the top of a great hotel. It's got a great 180 view towards broadway with selected live band during selected nights. The staff are great and friendly even the waitress greeted you even though you don't sit on their waiting tables. Bartenders have great memory with their service and friendliness starting with JC, Annabelle, and Melanie. Server from Courtney, Alivia and the manager Jessica. I've got to try a good handful of their food menu and it has never disappointed. It is a small choice but everything always came out great and delicious. I would recommend this place to tourists and to locals. Thank you everyone!!!!

Great ambiance & Good food. The drinks were normal. But, we came here for a bachelorette and they had one single server on staff on a Saturday and took hours to accommodate us. Every other customer was frustrated in the establishment because one girl had to do it all. It was sad to watch and sad to experience. Please do better for your employees and your customers.

This place is a hidden gem. Delicious food, great atmosphere (lively but not loud) and it has a great variety is seating areas to accommodate every need. Alivia provided exceptional service, attentive and kind, providing excellent recommendations

Shout out to Whitney for being a wonderful server! I hosted my birthday party at Top Note a few weeks ago, and I wanted to come on here to share my experience. Whitney was the server for my private party of approx. 37 guests. She was super patient and attentive. I really appreciate her being able to take on such a big group. My birthday was truly unforgettable, and she helped to make it that way. If you visit Top Note, I hope you also get Whitney as your server because you will be in good hands! - Malia
