Great sunset views in a modern Spanish restaurant. We were seated in a small private room, a bit on the warm side though. Service was professional and friendly. Food is OK, enjoyed some, but nothing was memorable. Two best dishes were the artichoke bombas (a paella of sorts) and the croquettes. The bone-in rib eye was good. Limited dessert. If you are celebrating a birthday, consider bringing a cake. On our evening there were only two dessert options.

I had the pleasure of dining at 'Top of the V,' the rooftop restaurant located on top of the VIV Hotel in Anaheim, and it was an absolutely enchanting experience. The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, and the views are spectacular, especially during the night when you can see the Disneyland fireworks—it's truly magical. The Spanish cuisine here is a delight, particularly the rack of lambs which was succulent and perfectly seasoned. Each dish was a testament to the chef's expertise and attention to flavor. The service was attentive and added to the overall excellent experience. If you're looking for a dinner spot that offers great food and an unbeatable view of Disneyland's fireworks, 'Top of the V' should definitely be on your list. Highly recommended!

Well, I should have gone somewhere else when I saw the 3.9 stars. The atmosphere is outstanding, the food, not so much. I was excited when I saw the imberco pork chops. How did they manage to get imberco pork without a drop of flavor. Simply put, the food here is not good. It lacks depth of flavor. It's just food, high-priced, high up food. It's also beautiful, but tasteless. This was not $160 worth of food.

When you come here during sunset time, you can see a beautiful sunset. Iberico pork chop and Galician beef striploin are really good👍 . (Recommend to try) You can part at Hotel parking structure and then get parking validation.

**To get here from the first floor you take the elevator to the roof. Take your parking ticket with you to get it validated at the host stand.** I ordered my salad without dressing but unfortunately I got dressing on it. The waitress offered to replace it, but I declined, blaming the cook for not paying attention. The waitress wrote down I wanted no dressing without a problem so I don’t understand why the cook couldn’t get it together and not put dressing on my salad. The cook should pay attention. I’m not surprised that this restaurant has so many negative reviews. My date had a $5 alcohol surcharge, which, him being a bartender, surprised him. The overpriced food with its order accuracy issues were a disappointment. I rarely give reviews with less than 5 stars, but this restaurant deserved a lower star review due to them giving me dressing on my salad when I specifically said no dressing and for charging a $5 alcohol surcharge. On a positive note, the rooftop view for the 9:30 PM Disneyland fireworks was enjoyable, especially for those who don’t live near Disneyland. I live five minutes away so I see and hear them at 9:30 PM every night, but the view is obstructed by buildings. If you come here I recommend an 8 or 9 PM reservation and sitting outside to see the fireworks.

The place is beautiful. Food and drinks delicious. Staff attentive and friendly. Our server Brandon C was so helpful with the menu and very gracious. Also the Manager Whitney was very kind. Also was able to see the Disneyland fireworks. Great night overall.

Top of the V in Anaheim offers an exceptional dining experience. The rack of lamb is a standout dish, cooked to perfection with a flavorful seasoning that leaves a lasting impression. The chocolate soufflé is a delightful ending to your meal, indulging your taste buds with its rich and decadent taste. The restaurant's ambiance adds to the overall experience, with breathtaking views and attentive service. While prices may be on the higher side, the quality of the food and the memorable atmosphere make it worth the occasional splurge. Whether it's a special occasion or a desire for fine dining, Top of the V is a top-notch choice.

I had such a great time! The staff is amazing and so helpful. It was my husband and my first time here to celebrate our anniversary. They took great care of us and helped us with menu options. The view is amazing and very intimate. Thank you so much for the experience. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Top of the V in Anaheim, and it was an experience to remember. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the octopus, which was cooked to perfection - tender, flavorful, and simply exquisite. Every bite was a testament to the chef's skill. The ambiance of the restaurant is equally impressive. With breathtaking views that overlook the city, it provides a perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. Despite the higher price point, I found the experience worth every penny, particularly because of the exceptional quality of the food and the stunning atmosphere. While Top of the V is known for its main courses, I was particularly impressed with the smaller plates. Sharing a variety of tapas with a large party made for a delightful and engaging dining experience. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, they had run out of the sea bass, which I had been looking forward to trying. Instead, I opted for another fish dish, which turned out to be quite bland. I regret not getting the chance to taste the sea bass, as I'm sure it would have been delicious given the restaurant's overall high standards. Despite this minor setback, my overall experience was fantastic. The variety and quality of the smaller tapas plates more than made up for it, and I left the restaurant feeling happy and satisfied. Top of the V is a gem in Anaheim, perfect for special occasions or simply to enjoy a night out with friends. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy excellent food, spectacular views, and a vibrant dining atmosphere.

Yelp
2 stars because the restaurant and out door patio are beautiful, we did not try the food only a drink and the service was 0! My husband and I just wanted to grab a drink and possibly something sweet. We are guest at the hotel and had been out with the kids all day. Saw that it closes at 11, went up to check it out around 10:20 and it was not busy. Yet No one seemed to want to help us, no one at host stand and anyone we tried to get any help from literally had an attitude told us to go to bar. Ok fine, went to the bar and the bartender took over 20 minutes to make 2 cocktails??!! I get it was late but you technically close at 11! We just wanted a drink and to enjoy the patio for a little and it was overall a bad experience.

Yelp
Classy and elegant vibes. Didn't expect to see fireworks and that was the perfect touch to the views! Service was good, drinks were delicious & the food was good. I feel like the food was good - not mind blowing. The steak was good - it had a grilled/smokey taste to it with a crispy crust around. The potatoes were tasty!! Just needs a bit of salt. The paella was delicious, it needed a little kick to it though. I was hoping they would have some homemade hot sauce but they didn't have any besides tobacco. Cute date night spot!

Yelp
Perfect for date night or somewhere intimate and modern. Decor is beautiful and you can see some chefs cooking when you enter, amazing view of Anaheim (the 5 and Disneyland) though had to pay for xtra to sit next to the window. Staff was on 10, everyone was on top of refilling and asking if we're good. Food was as expected, good. The beat doesn't come with anything though (have to pay extra for sides) and lamb chips were a bit dry but still yummy. Apps were amazing , shrimp and octopus options

Yelp
Took my friend here to celebrate her birthday. The location has a chic decor with large windows for the view of the fireworks from Disney (their main selling point). Good: 1. The bone in rib eye was very nicely cooked. Very juicy with a great flavor. 2. The Portuguese sausage from the appetizer was surprising delicious. Not greasy and had a great after taste. 3. The service we receive was wonderful. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and was attentive to the table without being overbearing 4. Even though we sat inside, the outdoor bar area seem like a great place to enjoy a glass of wine with friends on a warm summer night. It is decorated with foliage providing nice privacy from each table. Bad: 1. The fact that they charge you $10 per person to sit by the window is ridiculous when you can see the view from any table in the restaurant. And the charge is not refundable if you cancel your reservation. 2. The seafood rice is really badly portions. It is not really for sharing Although it seem large in the picture between 3 people we each got 2 spoon full of rice. The taste was average but the seafood was fresh. 3. The octopus was fresh but nothing spectacular. 4. The prices for the items were a bit over charge. The rib eye at "market price" was $155. and the rice was $55. Just didn't feel like you get your money's worth. 3 apps, steak for 2, and seafood rice and we all left still hungry. With the bottle of wine and 2 cocktails the total came to $490 before tip. Overall: I would come back to sit outside at the bar and grab a drink but wouldn't come back for dinner.

Yelp
Such a thoughtful birthday treat, that the restaurant didn't completely fulfill.  My friend made a reservation for the outdoor rooftop. Upon arrival, we found out that it was occupied by a private event, so we couldn't go outdoors at all. Instead, the host led us to a window table indoors. Within minutes of being seated, the restaurant dimmed its lights. Off in the horizon were the Disneyland fireworks! We almost had the best seats in the house for the show. Our server had a great attitude, but checked in infrequently. It felt like forever to order food, more drinks, and water refills. I started off sipping on a yummy La Vie en Rose. Of the food we ate, I liked the Shrimp Al Ajillo (garlic shrimp) and Charred Octopus the most! Overall, the food was good, not great. While I'm grateful for this experience, I'm just a bit disappointed that staff didn't update my friend regarding the changes to the original reservation - It's just common courtesy to do so.

Yelp
There's not many fancy restaurants in Anaheim so I was excited to try this spot out for a 30th birthday. Unfortunately pretty disappointed in the food, the service, and the views. The food was extremely salty. Thought it was just a one-off case for our appetizers but unfortunately our main dish (the seafood paella) was also very salty. The service was good at the beginning but about an hour in, the restaurant had gotten a bit busier and it was so hard to flag down our waiter. I noticed the chefs and other staff standing around conversing but no one was available to help as I tried to flag them down. The curtains stay closed until sunset (understandable) but it takes them forever to actually open them up. You don't really get a view of the sun setting which I was most excited about. Overall, would not recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
While the views were pretty and the ambiance was nice, there were not a lot of food choices for the ppl who don't eat red meat..or for people who eat kosher/halal.. they had very few options that we could order and still they didn't had some of the stuff on the menu we couldn't order cause they were out.. we ordered Pan Cristal, Patata bravas, summer squash, Artichoke Bomba rice, Seafood paella, and sea bass.. Paella was a little burned and wasn't as good as we were hoping; rest of the stuff was good. The mocktails we ordered were okay, not great but okay.. we celebrated our friend's birthday here.. but unfortunately cause of not good service and not too many food choices, we had a very average experience.. We talked to the manager about it too and he apologized and they discounted our bill due to inconvenience we had to face.

Yelp
The restaurant is on the top floor of the Viv hotel. Loved the decor and the view. I could see both California Adventure and Disneyland. I didn't know that I needed to reserved for tables next to the window for an additional $10/person. When I made the reservation, I didn't see the option. I guess it was sold out. The food was a hit and miss. We ordered the following to share between 4 people: PATATAS BRAVAS SHRIMP AL AJILLO CHARRED OCTOPUS CHARRED CABBAGE GALICIAN BONE-IN RIBEYE FOR TWO SEAFOOD BOMBA RICE TXIMITXURRI The charred octopus and bone-in ribeye with tximitxurri was the star of our dinner. Both were so tender and seasoned well. The seafood bomba rice was ok. Charred cabbage reminds me roasted Brussel sprout. The honey-chile glazed was a little sweet. Our server was really nice to comp us on the desserts since I was celebrating my birthday. It was a wonderful experience seeing the fireworks from Disneyland. But our table didn't have a clear view. You need to sit on the right side of the restaurant for the prefect view. There is no need for valet. You can self park and there is a door from the garage to the hotel. Bring in your ticket and validate the ticket at the lobby before you leave the hotel.

Yelp
My recommendation is to have dinner elsewhere and stop in for the cheesecake with a gorgeous sunset/Disneyland fireworks view. Poor reviews are not my jam. I rather leave no review than a poor review. However Top of the V will get my review due to the egregious pricing, low quality service, dirty glasses, unaccountability and poor flavored paella. Let's start off with the experience walking in. Beautiful place hosting podium is on point they greet us and seat us appropriately. The chairs are absurdly heavy. No joke the women were struggling to get the chairs close to the table. Such an odd choice but we made jokes as it was a funny conversation. The glasses are all spotted at first glance. I don't remember going to a restaurant and having this catch my eye. We are chitchatting and after halfway through my water I feel something on my glass. It's dried food stuck to the outside. The glass is so spotted I thought this was a water spot. I signal for the I assume floor manager as she was walking by. I ask her for a clean glass as she says or it just our hard water. I stare at her before saying hard water doesn't look like dried food. She takes the glass away and returns with new water. I say thank you and she says of course. I'm not trying to be petty but I think an apology or something may be in order for giving a customer a dirty glass especially at a restaurant charging these prices. We continue to enjoy the evening and our server is really nice but appearing to have too many tables as she's running around not giving each table proper time or attention. I ordered the seafood paella, wife ordered the lamb, son and GF split the 38oz rib eye. Lamb was over cooked the steak looked fine, paella was sub par. The table ordered a bottle of wine, zucchini and some charcuterie. The server offered 2 desserts on the house for my son's birthday. We got the cheesecake and berrys & cream. The cheesecake was the absolute highlight of the evening. I would come back for this as it's the lightest fluffiest most delicious cheesecake I've ever had. The berries & cream was ehh. The restaurant is very pretty and the views are great but food/service is not. PS you'll be surrounded by "influencer" photos, selfies, even a tripod phone light. I thought it was a bit much lol.

Yelp
DON'T RECOMMEND CELEBRATE ANYTHING "special" HERE. Was very ecstatic to try out this restaurant since it's been bookmarked for a year now. I finally had a reason to try out to restaurant due to a friends birthday. I'm glad I got to try this place BUT my friends and I are definitely not coming back. From mediocre foods to watered down cocktails, I want to say our dinner is not worth 700. The only few good foods were octopus, croquettes and the sea bass. Pork chop was very sweet and bland at the same time. The one thing they did get right was the temp of all the meats. It's also unfortunate that we had to order the sauces individually ... I think they should allow people to taste it before serving the full bowl of it. Some of them were not good so it went to waste. Ok we can forget the food and drinks because the main reason I was there was to celebrate a friends birthday. This restaurant couldn't even offer a lit candle with anything. I'd imagine it would be the same for all celebrations. Very stingy on their part considering how expensive this place is. One thing I'll give this restaurant, is decent service and the beautiful view (only if you don't look down). Other than that, please consider the reason for your customers visits. Edit: I ended up reading some reviews on this restaurant afterwards and realized that they "comp" your dessert if it's a special event. WHY DID THE WAITRESS NOT LET US KNOW THAT.

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Have to check this place out for the view and vibes. If you are able, try to get a window seat or a table close to the edge, you can see the fireworks at night. Waiters are friendly and accommodating, they give great recommendations in regard to their menu. Really enjoyed the lamb and the sea bass.

Albert M.

Yelp
Good food. Great views. The servers were really nice. It's a bit pricey, but it's what you'd expect from This type of restaurant.

Yelp
Perfect location to catch a sunset view or Disney fireworks. Food is ok, nice presentation

Jenni G.

Yelp
We took my husband here for his birthday dinner and it was nothing short of amazing! From the service to the food, to the amazing sunset view, it was an evening to remember! A big shout out to our server Joy who gave us the best recommendations on our drinks, made sure we had a great time. We had to stop and compliment the chef on the way out which was easy to do because the kitchen is right there in the open! What a cool concept. What did we have? My husband and I split the ribeye for two. We also had the pork chops and the sea bass. The presentation of the food was fabulous and each dish was cooked perfectly and flavored well. For sides, we shared the shrimp in the garlic sauce, mixed greens and the patatas. Compliments to the bartender. The drinks were delicious and strong! We can't wait to return in the summer so we can sit outside and enjoy the Disneyland fireworks!

Yelp
This has been our favorite dining experience during our 7 day trip to Anaheim (and the only one we will return to for our next trip). We originally had reservations for Thursday night but we called the restaurant to modify to Saturday night and they were able to accommodate with no problem! Our reservation was for outdoors on the rooftop and I'm so glad because the view was amazing. It overlooks Disney California Adventure. We got there just in time for the sunset but if you stay later you can see fireworks. It was also a chilly night and although we were sitting by the fire, it was still cold. Our server brought us a blanket which I though was a nice touch. It made the evening cozy yet sophisticated. We started out with a round of Carajillo which is similar to an espresso martini. So good! For appetizers we ordered the pan cristal and octopus. This is the best octopus I've ever had in my life and we were just at a Michelin star Spanish restaurant in Orlando last week with octopus. Top of the V's octopus was exponentially better. It was so tender and had the perfect amount of citrus. There was even some sweetness to it- maybe vanilla? I'm obsessed. Our server was Jordan M and he was spectacular. Best server we've had all week in Anaheim. Unfortunately we had dinner reservations elsewhere and didn't stay for a main course which in hindsight I sorely regret. We should've just stayed at Top of the V all night. This restaurant sits on top of The Viv which is a Marriott hotel. The host stand will validate your parking if you aren't staying here. I can't wait to come back here in September. We will most likely visit multiple times on our next trip.

Yelp
I loved everything about this place! On walking into the restaurant, it was such a beautiful and upscale ambiance. The interior decor was beautiful including the lights on the ceilings, and the view of the skyline including the Disneyland Ferris wheel was so pretty. We came on a windy day so I don't think the Disneyland fireworks went off but would be able to have a clear view of the fireworks! This is a perfect spot for a date night or celebration dinner! We came for a friends celebration. The food itself was so delicious. We particularly loved the shrimp paella and octopus fish. Parking can be validated and is in a structure that is a very short walk to the restaurant. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Really nice to have another Spanish tapas option in Orange County compete with VACA. The menu isn't extensive but there are some great options plus a cool view of Disneyland. Dined with three friends and had what felt like most of the menu, including: Shoulder Iberico - can't go wrong, ever. Pan Cristal - having been to Spain and eaten some really good pan con tomate, this was very average. Tomato maybe could have used more salt. Bread was ok. Mixed Baby Green Salad - solid, average. Patatas Bravas - pretty good, would recommend Marinated Spanish Anchovies - I love anchovies so I loved this. So simple but so good. Charred Octopus - nice texture, decent flavor but not outstanding Jamon Serrano Croquettes - I didn't mind this but my friends really didn't like the texture of the filling. Galician Beef Striploin - We asked for it medium rare and were pleased that it was cooked just the way we asked. More often than not steaks come out overdone. Had the chimichurri on the side. Delicious. Burnt Basque Cheesecake - REALLY rich and decadent. Quite good. I would return. It's easier to get a reservation here and the service was very good. Thanks Brandon!

Tiffany B.

Yelp
A rare find in such a close vicinity to Disneyland. They got it all; food, service, and atmosphere, more importantly, all perfectly on point. Netzer, the manager, is one of those unique, hands on managers. Brisa, our server, both nights, is just phenomenal beyond words. For me the Cuisine was different, out of my comfort level at first. However, Brisa has the patience and knowledge to explain the menu with staying upbeat and kind when the restaurant got slammed. Everything was great.

Marissa L.

Yelp
I came here for an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. We made reservations in advanced with outdoor seating so we could watch the Disneyland fireworks. We were seated right away in a nice booth with a beautiful view of Anaheim. Inside was also very nice, but outside was a lot more calm, quiet and private. Our booth was super comfortable with a warm fireplace on a cool and clear night. Our waiter was very helpful and informed us about Basque cuisine before we ordered. We started with drinks. I got the pina azul mocktail and my boyfriend got an old fashion. My mocktail was very refreshing. For our appetizer we got the jamon croquettes. They were delicious with rich béchamel sauce and little pieces of salty jamon in a crispy croquette. I highly recommend them. For our entrees we ordered the salted cod and red mullet rice. Our waiter recommended the salted cod. The salted cod was delicious, flakey and salty fish in a light sauce. There were a few fish bones in there I had to pick out though. The rice was cooked perfectly and the red muller fish was melt in your mouth, but still had scales attached to the skin I had to clean out. I loved the pieces of cuttlefish and the sliced onion cut through the rich and salty rice. All the dishes were presented beautifully. For dessert we got the Basque cheesecake. It was an amazing, light cheesecake with a burnt top like a creme brulee. Overall it was a great dinner, but I do wish the fish was cleaned and the entrees were a bit too salty. It was still a memorable dinner just because of the amazing view and fireworks show. We heard from another employee that they have djs here on Thursdays and we would definitely come back for that.

Yelp
Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Loved everything about this place! Made a reservation for my partner's birthday on Saturday evening right at sunset. I mentioned window seating and when we entered, we were escorted to the lounge area. Honestly at first we were a bit surprised as I thought we were going to eat in the dining room area. I was also a bit unhappy as it wasn't expected however our server, Joy, turned everything around. She was very kind, gracious and super helpful. We got settled in and actually enjoyed eating in the lounge/ more of a casual feel but still extremely enjoyable. The sunset and view were spectacular. We ordered the charred octopus (soooo good!), pan cristal (soft and fresh) to start. We were definitely blown away by the octopus. So delicious and soft and perfectly cooked and seasoned! I ordered sangria which was another homerun. It's not as sweet as the sangria I'm used to but more rich and deep in flavor. For our main courses we ordered the seafood paella and the beef strip loin (medium rare). The paella was a delight for the eyes as well as the tastebuds. It was tasty but not overpowering. The beef was cooked perfectly! We ordered the Tximitxurri and piquillo sauces. The tximitxurri went so well with the steak. The piquillo was also quite delicious. We had cheesecake for dessert and it was light and delicious! Service was excellent and Joy was amazing. We had waters refilled and she was there whenever we needed anything, always checking up (with a smile) even tho it started to get quite busy! She was always friendly and warm. We definitely want to return for appetizers and drinks on the outdoor deck. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Incredible view of Disneyland. Came here for a special anniversary dinner and the food did not disappoint. We can't say the same about the service. Food: We had the steak, papas bravas, and summer squash. Not one misstep with the meal. Meat cooked to perfection and the sides were just as good as the steak! Cocktails: We had the old fashion and the mule. The old fashion was overpowered by the bitters and the mule had strong ginger flavor. Not my personal preference. Service: The waiter did not come to our table more than 4 times during our meal. We wanted to try their desserts but weren't offered a dessert menu. The receipt was thrown on the table. With some polishing on the service, this restaurant could be the next "go-to" date spot. Parking: hotel will validate your parking pass if you visit the restaurant.

Yelp
This was my second hotel rooftop dinner, and might I say I really enjoyed it. Intimate dinner. The couches were really comfy, plus the decor is really neat. The servers and hosts are more than accommodating, and it's always nice having daylight during supper time. Sundown and the entrees could not have been aligned at a more perfect time :) Would come here with my girlfriends in the future!

Jaiden N.

Yelp
The restaurant is located at the top of the hotel, we made reservations for outside dining on a Wednesday and the restaurant was lightly filled with customers. We decided to celebrate our anniversary here because of the rooftop view. Food/Menu: Some menu items differ from what Yelp menus show or pictures that are posted. So I would refer to whichever menu they have currently because our waitress told us that there have been updates made to their menu. Our appetizer was a small squid plate. We love squid so this was a great way to start our meal. I'd prefer if it wasn't so salty though. A lemon/lime would have paired nicely with it. Main course was the paella plate and the steak. The paella paired with the steak was so delicious. Especially the steak! It was so tender it melted in your mouth. View: It's fairly modern inside and outside, originally we decided to sit outside but I didn't realize until we came in, all the outside "dining tables," are just uncomfy couches with small tables. Outside was beautiful with all the plants but definitely not really a dining experience to sit and dine. More like a chat with friends and sip on drinks/ munch on appetizers. Inside was more dine-in 'friendly' and we were seated at a table facing the roof top view. Service: I forgot our waitresses name but she was kind. It did take some time though to track a waiter down, especially since it was our first time and our anniversary we wanted things to be a bit more smoother. So tracking down a waiter was a bit difficult even for small things like refill on waters. We were checked up on more in the end of our dining. I would have expected a bit more attentive service for the price-point. Overall great food! Worth the dine-in experience if you're looking for something with a view. I suggest if you want a full dine-in experience (for a date for example) sit inside. Otherwise outside is a good option for casual drinks and appetizers.

Misa O.

Yelp
This review is purely based off my bar/ drink experience (no food). There is no way to get to the roof without a room key so me and a bunch of other people with reservations were roaming around waiting for someone who was actually staying at the hotel to help us get there. The rooftop was beautiful with all the trees and felt really home-y and comfortable which I love. However, the view is just okay. My friend and I are the type of people that like to go to these rooftop places for the vibes and aesthetics but it wasn't really doing it for me. I much prefer The Fifth in Anaheim. Our drink wasn't very aesthetic, tasty, or strong. Very underwhelming. Only plus side is the plethora of parking and validation.

Yelp
Great place for special occasions. With its elegant decor and views overlooking the city, specifically Disneyland, the ambience at Top of the V is perfect to celebrate a birthday or an anniversary. The staff was friendly, and the service was great. For drinks, I'd ordered a delicious berry mocktail, sweet and slightly savory. For appetizers, I'd ordered the bread and diced tomato. Delicious, could eat this as its own meal. It also paired nicely with the manchego side dish. I'm not typically a fan of paella, but as the main course, I was going to make it my mission to love it, and I really didn't need convincing. It was incredible, beautifully plated and amass with flavor. Tender lobster, delicious rice, would absolutely order this again, best I've had.

Yelp
3.5 STARS - *1st timer* PARKING (4/5): They have both self-park (don't know the cost) & valet ($20). There was no one at valet when we arrived, a bell boy came out and said they were short staffed and said it would be faster to park in the self-park & he'd give us complimentary tickets to cover the parking cost. Very thoughtful & great solution for when they're short staffed. It's 5 steps further & I appreciated his honesty. However, when we tried to leave the parking structure there was a 5 car pile up because the machines were working and no one could leave. They ended up just letting everyone out by manually opening the gate. Wasn't too long of a wait but seems like they were having a rough night. AMBIANCE (5/5): The restaurant is inside THE VIV HOTEL on the 12TH FLOOR. It's very well decorated & charming inside with an elegant feel. The windows are floor to ceiling to show the skyline and Disneyland fireworks! Make sure to request a window seat & check the Disneyland fireworks schedule to make your resy at the right time to view an extra special treat! Great spot for a date night if you want to impress someone. FOOD (3/5): **I loved the flavor of all the food we got, however, a lot of the dishes we received came out COLD** I tried to rationalize for why it could've all came out cold, because we were sitting under the A/C or that we took to long to eat it, but even the dishes they had just placed on the table - it was cold! There is no excuse. This is where the restaurant fell short & I would have easily given 4 stars otherwise. Do they not have heating lamps? Do they pre-make dishes since we came on the weekend in anticipation of the big rush and just have it ready? I think so. Because we ordered 5 dishes (not including dessert) and 4/5 came out to the table in LESS THAN 5 minutes. No way they could cook it that fast. $12 PAN CRISTAL: fresh toasted bread with grated tomato. I wish it had the garlic, but this restaurant doesn't serve it like that. The bread WAS HOT & delicious, but I wouldn't order this again. $21 CHARRED OCTOPUS: LOVED THIS! Octopus was cooked perfect and loved the olive oil, lemon purée, potato foam sauce. Definitely order! $14 JAMON SERRANO CROQUETTES: with bechamel. It's a cheesy potato ball! Crispy on the outside, smooth on the inside. Not spicy. Delish!!! $22 BEEF CHEEK: one of the most popular items on the menu & rightfully so! Fall apart meat with amazing flavor & piquillo pepper purée. Sadly came out COLD. $55 DOVER SOLE: brown butter, marcona almond, lemon. I wish the skin was crispy, but it wasn't. Tasted A LOT of butter. I'd pass on this. Also came out COLD. $12 TARTA DE QUESO: burnt basque cheesecake. Loved this! Was a perfect dessert that wasn't too heavy. Luckily the dessert was supposed to be served cold. $68 BODEGAS BRECA OLD VINE GARNACHA: a light red Spanish wine (about the equivalent to a merlot) to go with our meal. It was good. OVERALL: I really think this restaurant is great... loved the server, ambiance, fact that you can see Disneyland fireworks, solution to their short-staffed parking problem, and flavor of the food. The ONLY negative thing is that a lot of the dishes came out cold. Even then, I would still recommend this place to friends and hope that it doesn't happen in the future. Obviously, I could've said something in the moment, but I was having a wonderful evening and didn't want to ruin the mood by complaining about food temperature. Highly recommend this place. When I come back to try a 2nd time I will update my review.

Yelp
I went with 3 other guys; it was my first time eating at such a fancy establishment. Although, I don't think I'd come somewhere this expensive ever again. The food was mighty salty...the appetizers were better than the actual entrées themselves. The drinks I ordered were okay, but nothing was extraordinary. I was looking forward to it all, but I was not blown away. So, I'd say if you want bomb food, starve yourself first and then go get some hole in the wall food. The waiter was the only one with good customer service though because he was professional and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. I kind of wish we tried the cheesecake, but we were quite full.

Yelp
If you want beautiful romantic views of the Disney fireworks without the cold and the noise, this is the spot for you. Easy to make reservations and request a window seat. I ordered a mocktail which was yummy and the octopus was so so so good!! The paella looked beautiful but was extremely salty to the point that I genuinely could not consume it and the menu options are limited and pricey. Eat dinner elsewhere and come here for a drink and the views.

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday night to checkout the rooftop bar. Valet parking is complimentary when dining here and is located in front of the Viv Hotel. The rooftop bar, when the sun is out, is just okay since you mostly see the freeway but becomes quite stunning when the sun sets. Disneyland isn't too far away and you can easily sit in and enjoy the fireworks sitting inside or outside of the restaurant. In terms of the food, everything was outstanding and is cooked up by chef Edgar Beas. I tried out the set meal and it came with this. Jamon Iberico and Pan Cristal - Elevated ham and bread. Crunchy texture with a perfect mixture of salt and butter. (5/5) Txistorra - Was like sausages on sticks. A bit salty but overall cooked perfectly and delicious. (4/5) Pulpo a la Plancha - Easily the best appetizer dish. The squid was super soft and balance of flavors was outstanding. (5/5) Patatas Bravas - Elevated potato wedges. I love potatoes and this one hits. Nothing super special but it's tasty! (4.5/5) Bacaloa en Salsa Negra - This is salty cod with squid ink sauce. It is salty but the squid ink sauce cuts the salty taste and should be eaten together. It's unique and quite good. (4.5/5) Alcabofas - Artichokes cooked pretty soft. It's good but probably my least favorite out of the meal itself. (3.5/5) Arroz Bomba de Langosta - Absolutely delicious. Balanced flavors with flavored cooked rice and lobster. Loved the crispy rice on the pot. Generous amount of seafood. (5/5) Secreto Iberico de Bellota - This honestly looks pretty simple and boring being just meat on a plate but was my favorite dish. The flavors were insane and any meat lover would enjoy this. (5/5) Tarta de Queso - Nothings better than finishing a meal with dessert and this doesn't disappoint. The char on top made this different than other cheesecakes and this was also super creamy. (5/5) The overall experience here was the best rooftop experience I've had, from the service to the atmosphere, to the food. Everything is top notch for an enjoyable afternoon for a date or other special occasions. The meal set is certainly enough to fill your belly and the drinks here are outstanding. They can accommodate making mocktails with the same flavors as the real drinks just without the alcohol. I would totally be back!

Yelp
We had a reservation at 9:30 and kitchen was closing at 10pm. The team was awesome in getting out orders in quickly and getting out food out. The decor is very upscale which is makes for a great vibe. There is a mix of people dressed up and other people who just finished their day at Disneyland. Food: Beef cheek: 5/5. Must get. It's on the smaller size but it is tender and full of flavor. Lobster paella: 4/5. Not really any lobster and I'm guessing because they were closing the kitchen, it was undercooked. Potatoes: 5/5 perfection. Wish I had more! Drinks are pretty stellar. Would be back here to hopefully catch more of the fireworks

Yelp
If you're looking for ambience this is the place to be! They have a wonderful view of the Disneyland and California Adventure! At night time you can see bits of the world of color show and the Disneyland fireworks. The food on the other hand was quite disappointing. The beef cheek came out and was cold, although it was very soft and tender. We got the two of duck breast bomba rice and the artichoke bomba rice. The duck breast was over cooked and was quite tough to eat, and one of the rice was cooked a lot more than the other plates making it a little harder to eat. The artichoke rice was nothing special and I was disappointed by the flavor profile. I only felt like eating half and it was not very appetizing. The service was okay, please keep in mind they charge $8 for still water! However they only gave the option of still or sparkling. They have limited heaters and fireplaces and unfortunately they weren't that strong so I was freezing just a little bit as it was cold that night. Overall, I just a bit disappointed, I wouldn't come back.

Yelp
Came here for a date night and we had an awesome time! The ambience and the views were great. I would recommend a reservation at 9 to catch the Disney fireworks at 9:30! We had the steak, rack of lamb, warm olives and octopus. All FANTASTIC. I asked for the steak medium but it came out a perfect medium rare. The olives and octopus are a must try. I got the Mas Picosa red wine and it paired perfectly with my food. My bf got the old fashion and loved it! We will definitely be back. They also have a nice outdoor area and bar if you want to just come for drinks

Yelp
Was really looking forward to trying this place. Usually when menus are limited you can expect the food to be even better but unfortunately not here. We made reservations online and requested a window seat only to be told upon arrival we needed to pay extra for those reservations, which is fine that's our miss, but headsup for anyone else making online reservations. The cocktail list was unappealing, and the "custom" martinis we ordered tasted awful. "Custom" because they will charge you a drink fee and then a custom fee. Why not just put it together? $25 for a drink is a bit much. We got the ribeye, seafood paella, and potatoes. Ribeye was not worth $150, meat was not tender nor juicy, and under seasoned. Paella was also underwhelming and potatoes were mediocre, not crispy as described. Limited choices in vegetables sides, all together a disappointing experience for a place that's been on our list for so long. Come for the views, not the food. Sorry.

Yelp
This place started out on a good note people were friendly and seated me and my dog on the patio and it was a beautiful view. I just wanted to relax and have a glass of wine after Disneyland and try out some of the tapas plates that I had read about. My server was very friendly and helpful at first but then he disappeared on me and abandoned me. To the point where I had to go to the front desk and ask for the server to bring me my bill. I went to ask for my bill because all of a sudden a DJ was playing some raunchy club music rap that was inappropriate and really loud and it was like a dance club but there was nobody dancing. I wasn't sure what was going on but the music drove me right out of there. I initially ordered the octopus which was probably the best octopus I've ever had in my life that's why it gets three stars instead of probably one star based on the service and the DJ. I had actually planned on ordering more tapas but the waiter never came back and that music was giving me a migraine. The $20 sangria was okay but I don't think it was worth $20

Yelp
This place was kind of a hit and miss for me. I gave them four stars because the place is very clean and the staff all the way it took a while to get to us was very friendly and very helpful. The food was OK the best thing on the menu was the octopus appetizer. It was fantastic. My only complaint would be that they didn't really seem to have a dress code. A lot of people dressed up for the night but a few look like they walked in off the street. I was surprised they let them in to be honest with you. Not sure if they went backpacking orwhat but they definitely weren't dressed for that type of restaurant well well at least that's my opinion. But other than that, give them a try. I think you'll be happy. Have a great day and great eats.

Yelp
Brisa and Brandon have been our servers for the past few times and the service has been amazing! The food is so good and tasty and they have been taking care of us very well! I recommend to come during dinner time but brunch has also been a very good experience! Thank you Brandon and Brisa for their amazing service.

Yelp
So the parking was easy it was in a structure although I wish they would have signs saying that we could get our ticket validated. We went into the hotel which is so beautiful and went upstairs to the restaurant. It was very busy and we sat by the window seeing the sunset was gorgeous. We order the salmon and potatoes which were good. It made us super hungry so we had to go somewhere else after. The mocktails were fire tho. The staff let us outside to see the fireworks at Disneyland which was amazing!

Yelp
Amazing service and amazing food! Went to celebrate 7 year anniversary with my wife. We had the a great experience here. Our server Kevin was great, very friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations. He gave us a great experience there. The settings on the restaurant were absolutely stunning. We had great views from where we were seated. I definitely recommend trying the charred octopus. It was so good haha! Well everything we tried was amazing hahaha. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Came here for date night on a Thursday and it was fantastic! It was not overly crowded but definitely a full house. The ambience is amazing, very modern with an upscale twist. Of course we had to reserve the window seat (I wouldn't say it's very high up, but still a great view). However, we went on a night where Disney did not have their fireworks which we would have had a great view of. Our table was great because we sat on comfortable couches and I definitely prefer a comfy couch over a chair any day lol. So I no longer drink and cannot speak on the drinks, but the food I can because I sure can eat. We started off with an array of appetizers including: Iberico, beet salad, anchovies, beef cheek, and the charred octopus (which is a house favorite), and then decided to do the seafood bomba rice. The Iberico, was delicious but not as soft as it could have been, the beet salad was delicious, it was paired with blood orange and was so refreshing. The anchovies were delicious marinated in olive oil, the beef cheek was sooo tender it kept getting stuck in my fork lol! The charred octopus was soo soft and juicy, it's the best I've had. The Bomba rice was good, however it's not much rice nor are the clams worth it because they are soo small. I loved the outside view and got an incredible picture so I'd definitely count this as the perfect date night restaurant.

Yelp
The restaurant here was beautiful with an amazing view that overlooks Disneyland's CA Adventure. Service was great. The food here was good but not the best for my taking. Beet salad and mushrooms were both ok nothing too special about it. The lamb and steak were great - perfectly cooked for medium rare but there wasn't anything special or any "WOW" to it esp for the price it's worth. You might as well go to Mastro's or Vaca tbh. This is one of those places that you go to more for the view and ambiance than the food.

Yelp
I only ordered a few drinks from here but it was very well poured, great views and amazing service. Everyone was great!

Yelp
This restaurant has so much potential. The ambiance and the vibe were great. The decor was chic and beautiful which is something I can't find easily in the OC. The restaurant also has a great view of Disneyland resort which makes it a great spot to watch fireworks on weekends. But the service and food quality was seriously lacking. The food was way overpriced for being mediocre and the amount came with them. We got to try the Patatas bravas, Carrillera, and Arroz de langosta. Carrillera was a braised beef cheek dish. The beef cheek was nice and tender but lack seasoning. The sauce that came with didn't compliment the beef well at all. Arroze de langosta was basically a lobster paella. The dish was very salty and came with very few lobsters for the price. I did enjoy the drink we got though. So I think I will only come back here to have a drink and chill.

Yelp
Top of the V An elegant restaurant with a rooftop terrace offering Spanish cuisine, tasting menus & cocktails. We had an amazing dinner while overlooking Disneyland and the incredible sunset. The food was amazing, the Octopus and beef cheeks were the best of the bunch, the drinks were perfectly paired. This spot is perfect for day night or even just happy hour with friends. You could hang out at the rooftop open air overlooking the entire city.

Yelp
Ambiance is 10/10 nice view! Service is 12/10 - they went way and above making my birthday dinner more fun by moving us to the table with the best view. Food - the charred octopus is the BEST and must try! I can't really describe how good it was but trust me and the other reviewers cause it was very good. The spiny lobster is also worth trying. Nice size lobster and big enough to share. The dover sole was just okay, I was hoping for that price you get at least a side of salad or any steamed veggies to eat it with. Something is missing on that dish. The dessert, crema de chocolate, is also something I would recommend. It is creamy, not very sweet, and just the right size. FYI- valet parking is high $20 + tip. Overall, we had a great evening and would highly recommend this place if you have a special event.

Yelp
Ambiance - 5/5. Tip: reserve an inside table near the bar next to the window and watch the Disneyland fireworks around 9:30 pm. Or reserve a table outdoors for some scenic photo ops. Food- 2/5. Although recommended by the staff, the sausage was super salty and the Octopus was a bit over cooked. The sauce for the shrimp appetizer was great, however. The fish was the best dish IMO as it flavorful and soft/buttery. Spain's well known bread and tomato tapas was lacking flavor and did the dish no favors. Paella was mediocre for the amount of food on the pan, the size of the lobster was great, however. Service could have been better- I made a reservation in advance for a window table overlooking the city. I received a text message stating that our table was ready and a request to check in as we were making our way through the lobby of the hotel. After we rode the elevator to the top floor, no one was at the booth to greet us for a few long minutes. I checked in with the hostess who looked over to the other end of the restaurant and stated that our table is being set up...? We then got seated and waited for up to 15 mins before we flagged down the staff to mention that we haven't been serviced yet. The restaurant wasn't even half full at this point :/ All in all, I recommend the bar for some social drinks or to lounge with friends for cocktails. I do not recommend coming here for a meal if that's what you're looking for.

Yelp
Scored a last-minute reservation outside. Seated right next to a cozy fire with the most fantastic view. Ambiance is great, and the location is real breathtaking. Had an amazing view of the fireworks. Snacked on croquettes & dessert. The best basque cheesecake I've ever had. Most important to note, service was outstanding & incredibly attentive from our server, Brandon. There's a parking structure right next to the hotel with plenty of spots & is super convenient... & is validated!

Yelp
I came here because I saw an influencer mention the Paella and few other dishes that were worth trying so I thought I'd I give it a try. I was not impressed with any of the food or the service. My friends and I sat by the window near the bar and the bartender that assisted us seemed like she was just ready for her shift to be over. The food was cold and lacked flavor. The only thing going for this restaurant is the view. I was disappointed but certainly influenced by the influencer.

Yelp
My friends and I came for a bday dinner on a Saturday night and the weather was just perfect outside around 7. Half of us opted to eat inside for dinner and we loved the ambience, indoors was modern and had a comfortable artistic lounge feel and outdoors was very pleasant with nice views, pretty trees and fire pits. Service was great, the entire staff for both parties was attentive and friendly. We received validation at the restaurant, which brings your cost down to $14 however we received a tip to ask the hotel front desk for an additional validation and the self parking ended up being zero (not sure if it would be same for valet. Food was ok. The plating was attractive and everything looked good but the actual taste was ok. The sauce for the shrimp dish was a bit off to me, I can't describe it, maybe slightly on the bitter side. The octopus was good, cooked perfectly with a slight char, how I like it, but it was tasting too salty by the end. The potatoes were fantastic, crispy on the outside and soft inside. My friends got the duck and beef cheeks and thought both were ok, similar comment about an odd bitter taste. Maybe we're just not used to this cuisine. Overall we had a really wonderful time and got to see the Disneyland fireworks. It's a place we all agreed we would return to for a date night or special occasion.
