Yelp
Service was awesome, well placed with food options. Perfect spot to grab a beer after the beach.

Yelp
I have tried this beer at a brewery closer to home and never knew they were located in SB. So when we were in town, exploring the city, we passed by and knew we had to go try it out. Everyone working there on our visit was pretty cool and chill. We bonded with them over our love for breweries and also recommended some of our favorites to them which hopefully they will come to our side of town to get to know our beers. The brewery is huge and shares its location with a winery, Fox Wine, and an eatery, The Nook. There is so much seating and an outdoor patio to enjoy your drink and food. I ended up trying the Dos Topas Lager since I am not a fan of IPA. The beer was good and refreshing. Unfortunately, I did not get to try anything else, since it was a quick visit since I had my son with me. We have talked about going back to explore Santa Barbara's Funk Town so we will definitely be back to bar hop and visit Topa Topa again. See you in October!

Yelp
My experience was very negative unfortunately and we will not be returning. Upon entering the woman behind the counter was very nice. Unfortunately after that our visit went very much downhill and I was quite disappointed with the entirety after that.

Yelp
We went during their plant swap event and it was really fun! We got to sip on beer while we walked around plant and craft vendors outside! Really lovely space and the vendors and staff were all very kind. And fun location!

Yelp
Julio was great. He helped us find the best drink to suit our needs keeping in mind allergies we had mentioned. He was very hospitable. 10 out of 10 recommend to anyone looking for a great vibe and top notch hospitality. Takes care of his customers 100%. Live music going on the patio as well!

Yelp
Topa Topa is so much more than great beer (though their beer is fantastic). Each of their locations has such a welcoming and thoughtfully designed atmosphere--it's clear they care about creating a great experience for everyone. I especially love how community-focused they are, always hosting fun events and partnering with awesome food vendors. It's the perfect spot to grab a drink, connect with friends, and enjoy the vibe. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great variety of options to drink. Ambiance was great. Bartender let us sneak in a few minutes before the stated opening time which was very nice of him. Overall highly recommend as a nice place to chill out with some friends and have a drink or two or five!!!

Yelp
Beer: 4.5. Came by as part of my skate in SB. This place is connected to two other businesses (wine bar and bar). They have shared dining/drinking space. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I skated past it from the beach and had to turn around. Beer was good and the staff was helpful. The layout is comfortable and spacious especially outside. They have boardgames and other social games to keep you busy. Staff was efficient. They offer half pints but I forgot to ask how much they were compared to pints. Service: 3.75 Ambiance: 4 Value: 3.5

Yelp
Solid brewery with lots of beer options. They offer samplers and if you really like something, they are able to can your favorite beers to go. They food menu with burgers, sausage, and other pub food is a perfect match. I enjoyed all of the beer and food I tried. This place is dog friendly and has a large patio, bonus points.

Yelp
Topa Topa has the best beers in Santa Barbara unless Night lizard will ever make Nitro Gnatcatcher again? (Probably not...) Topa Topa has a rotating tap and every time I go in there I find something different and delicious. Excellent quality trained staff. There are three separate food establishments that you can get food from at or near Topa Topa within 50 feet.

Yelp
Excellent spot for a cold craft brew and a conversation. Many options to choose from. Most enjoyed the KQ Express hoppy rice lager. Unusual brew, but light and tasty. Spacious seating inside and out. Can park bikes and bring dogs outside.

Yelp
Spacious, warehouse-type brewery in the heart of the Funk Zone, with good attached independent food options and indoor/outdoor seating. Excellent selection of quality beers with tasting options and efficient staff. Funk Zone crawler crowd can get a bit loud IMO; fine if that's your thing. Other options around town if you are looking for a cozier brew experience.

Yelp
Never had a bad beer here. There's a great outdoor place, always filled with fun groups. Staff is also super nice!

Yelp
My wife and I were staying in Carpinteria the month of January 2022 and every weekend, we would take the bus up to Santa Barbara. My wife found Topa Topa, which is right next door to an awesome beer bar that had a wonderful selection and had an attached restaurant to it, that had pretty good looking burgers. The facade is open, which was nice to enjoy the beautiful Santa Barbara weather, and they have a list of quite a few beers they make up on the wall. I ordered a solid IPA and the 2 female bartenders were super cool, I found out one of them was moving to New Orleans the next day. I would never leave Santa Barbara, but such is life. I ordered one more IPA and there is also an attached wine bar to the tap room. It is quite an eclectic use of not a huge space between all the owners here. The decor is super cool, and we enjoyed our two beers and chatting with the bartenders. A really fun hour or so.

Yelp
Fun brewery off the beaten path of state street My wife and I were visiting the Funk zone in Santa Barbara for the weekend. We were able to walk around and try several different wine tastings as well as breweries. We had a few on the list, and this didn't happen to be one of them, but while walking around the funk zone we saw the big opening to the brewery that felt very inviting so we decided to sit down for a drink. The beer here is great. They could get five stars alone for that. I highly suggest trying a flight, with different selections to see which one you like the best, and then grab a Crowler to take home! We decided on the Kolsh, which was one of my favorite beers I had all weekend.

Yelp
Great place to enjoy a cold beer. Very family and dog friendly but it gets packed inside. There's usually lots of seating outside though. Get some food from The Nook next door to go with your drinks.

Yelp
I was down the street in the funk zone with a friend when suddenly we heard a live band...Lo and behold it was coming from Topa Topa! Came inside and we ordered some beers I ordered the chief peak which was so great! Light but still has good flavor to it. The woman helping us was super sweet as well and friendly. She directed us to the outdoor seating area where the band was playing. That place was PACKED. There was seating but when we first came out there was none available so we ended up standing on the side next to the planter that had a ledge. Eventually we saw a table open up and claimed it as fast as we could! Immaculate ambiance - it was so lively as there were girls rollerblading, dogs laying around, and people dancing. What a fantastic place to have fun. They have heaters outside so you don't get too cold as well. I ordered a second beer but by then it was even more packed and we waited about 20 minutes. I don't know if they have food. They might be connected to Nook just like lama dog because I did see some people with burgers and such but I wasn't told anything about it. ANYWAYS super fun place if you enjoy beer, music, and fun!

Yelp
Amazing spot not too far from the beach. Visited from out of town but believe it's around the Funk Zone area. Super friendly bartenders and awesome brews on taps. Limited merch selection but pretty cool gear to grab before heading back on the road!

Yelp
Great service and good beer we liked the apectroand light hike and hard seltzer's very good

Yelp
I had their Chief Peak IPA on the Condor Express and was happy to discover that they are located close to the harbor. I loved the open air atmosphere and the friendly service. There were a number of interesting draft options and a convenient food area in the same building. A great lunch spot!

Yelp
Topa can be always be counted on for good vibes and great rotation of fresh beers. Guys and gals behind the bar are top notch and some food at The Nook is only steps away. Can't wait for summer here!

Yelp
Great beer, great employees, good trivia. Brandon is a great trivia host! The atmosphere is very welcoming every time we are here.

Yelp
Topa Topa Brewing Company is full on five-stars, no doubt about it. The staff is outstanding. Friendly, knowledgable about the beers. They give you a sample until you find something you like. There's a wide selection to please any taste. Just fantastic. Such a breath of fresh air. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Ron C.

Yelp
Enjoyable beer drinking experience with an open wall to the street allowing plenty of fresh air. I tried a few IPAs beyond the Chief Peak which is more widely distributed. There were several good food options available from pizza to burgers, etc within the same building. Bartender was very friendly and knowledgable.

Yelp
Topa Topa is a brewery that I've wanted to visit in person for over a year now. I found out about them at a few of the Surf n Suds beer festivals in Ventura county, and have had them on my bookmarks since then. Recently I headed over to the Funk Zone in Santa Barbara (an area right before the beginning of downtown Santa Barbara's State St.) to check out some places on my girls Axxess card, Topa Topa has a buy one get one free coupon. First and foremost their beers are amazing, out of he five beers I tried I didn't have a single complaint. Very smooth and well balanced beers. The inside has a cool set up with a nice small outdoor seating area, inside/next door is a Llama Dog where you can get food (but you can't bring you Topa Topa beer over). I don't recall seeing any board games like a lot of other breweries had, but it's still a really cool brewery to hangout in. Even though I've only beer here once I've got to say Topa Topa is near the top with the best overall beers at a brewery that I've hand in Santa Barbara so far. The Nitro Milk Stout & Chief Peak IPA we're mind blowingly good.

Yelp
One of the better breweries in Santa Barbara. We came here Monday around 4:30pm. They have a good variety of beers and they were pretty good. They have indoor seating but the walls are open on one side of the wall so it felt Covid safe. Very aired out. They have nitro milk stout, Ipas, Pale Ales, Kolsch, Lager. We got to sample some beers before commiting to pints. Parking is on the street or the small parking lot with 2 hour limit.

Yelp
Nice place to come try their craft brews! Enjoyed the open atmosphere, dogs welcome inside or out! If you want food, walk next door to Lama Dog Tap Room and order takeout which you can bring over to enjoy with your beers. Varietal selection of brews, opted for their Chief Peak IPA and Level Line Pale Ale. IPA was hoppy good and pale ale smooth, two different tastes but both satisfying! Check out Topa Topa if you want to relax for a quick beer with friends or with your favorite dog friends! Enjoy!

Yelp
Had my eyes set on Topa Topa Brewing for a while. So, on our next stop to the cool Funk Zone in Santa Barbara, we made sure to have a beer break from all the activities. Topa Topa is named after the cool mountains of Ojai, pretty romantic in my book. The brewery is situated in a funky industrial complex that also hosts the Nook (you can get food from them and bring it inside the brewery), Lama Dog and other cool vendors: a wine bar, local artists that sell jewelry, artwork, photos, pottery, etc. It's a big space, fun to explore. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, they had a band playing, the place was booming, had to improvise some seating area for us. But it's a great place to chill, people come to relax here, enjoy a beer, some bring their dogs inside as well. We each got a Cali Common, kinda amber beer, very good, crisp, cold ($7). You can do beer tasting, as well. Topa Topa is very fun, lively with locals, who are here to chill or to grab a beer on the way to something else. If somebody in your party is not a beer person, there's a wine bar next door, so everyone can be happy. You can shop for a cool souvenir, browse, enjoy the cool vendors around. There are restrooms near by. This place is one of a kind, with its indoor-outdoors setting, you can feel the breeze, see folks hanging outside, enjoy the palm trees blowing in the wind. Just sit, have a beer and enjoy the view.

Yelp
3/27/22 First time here on our 39th Wedding Anniversary celebrating with JJ! They had some sort of a one girl band and also a few selection of brews and food. 6/25/22 planning on going there today also. I will update again.

Yelp
Popped in here for a couple hours after walking around in the sun for awhile and in desperate need of refreshment. The staff were friendly, and attentive, making recommendations when asked. I never felt rushed and still felt welcome even when things began to get busy. It's a clean and open place, very comfortable, letting in a breeze with lots of natural light. While I didn't sit outside, it featured a nice large patio as well. Next time I need a beer in Santa Barbara, I'll be heading back here.

Yelp
This location in the "funk zone" has a super fun vibe. It's in a converted warehouse, which is shared with another tap house (llama dog) and a winery. Beer selection is great and there are plenty of places to order from the massive bar. There is also a large outdoor beer garden, although it was closed due to rain the day we were there. I had a coupe of hazies and as usual, it was great stuff.

Yelp
This place is a joke. I'm a business owner in Santa Barbara in an unrelated business. Saturday night at 10:20 I arrived and ordered a beer. I was having a conversation with my friend when a skinny obnoxious brunette bar tender who looked about 12 years old, and had about the same education level, butted into our conversation and called me a "negative Nancy". Lol. We didn't ask for her rude belittling comments. We weren't even talking to her or about her. I got up from the bar, slammed my beer and left. I will not return.

Yelp
Came here looking for some beer, but little did I know the real problem would be finding a waitress. Came here and they saw me come in, didn't bother to flag anyone down. One of the waitresses eventually walked by saying she would be right back. She did not come back for quite a while. Decided to use the restroom and upon coming back, she still wasn't really around, I would have expected some of the other customers needing to be checked up upon, but nothing. Saw her leave the bar for something else and decided this just wasn't going to happen. Not sure if I was getting racially profiled or what, but it just felt unwelcoming. Upon leaving, the waitress was making small talk outside... Really disappointing experience, I went to the brewery across the street and had a much better time.

Yelp
Great service, food, and ambiance. My family and me love this place. Super recommend.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick visit to try some local beers. The beers were good. Tried a flight of 4 beers. Tux Milk stout was better than I expected. Weekend session IPA was my favorite of the four. Solitude series single hop IPA was decently good. Howler coffee IPA was not bad. Place is in a converted warehouse with no sign out front or at least I could see. Place was extremely crowded but service was good. I found an open space at the counter and staff was quick and efficient. Read the board well as I picked a beer only available as a bottle for my flight. Nice selection of beer. The building shares space with other businesses but you are not allowed to take your drinks elsewhere or bring drinks from the neighboring businesses. I think you can get food next door as their menu was posted inside the Topa Topa. Beer was worth the stop but not the crowds on this particular visit. Place was just to busy to enjoy.

Yelp
Great beer, good prices and good atmosphere. I love that they have an arcade and ice cream shop for the kids to also enjoy.

Yelp
I love this place. The bar setting is in a warehouse in the Funk Zone. The bartenders are always friendly, and they have a great outdoor area. Dogs are allowed. The beverages are fantastic as well. You can go next door to grab some awesome grub!

Yelp
Topa Topa makes delicious brew. Chief Peak was an early entry in the kind of flavorful IPAs that rightfully dominate the market. It's a delicious blend of bitterness and fruity that makes one question early life decisions to drink Milwaukee's best or Natural Light, though to be fair, did we have a choice? Not really. Nowadays we do, and this wide open patio with friendly service is pretty outstanding. Now that they don't have to trick you into buying food with their ridiculous "voucher" system, it's even better. The service is pretty good, the vibe is casual but fun, and they have options for beer or wine from whoever it is their partnering with. This is a great spot in the funk zone for folks that like beer.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood Topa Topa! What a cool little beer tasting joint. The FunkZone is lucky to have you! I'm not a huge beer advocate so I'll make this short and sweet. Came by on a Friday night to taste test and loosen up a bit, check out the crowd and what all the talk was about. I tried the Chief Peak (Indian Pale Ale), Weekender (Session IPA), and Howler (Coffee IPA) and all were flavorfully decadent. You could tell these were not just your average beers; there had been a lot of thought, effort, and quality ingredients put in these babies. My personal favorite was the Chief Peak as it was light and easy down the throat, but a high percentage and slightly fruity. Would DEFINITELY suggest checking this bar out if you haven't already! Just a warning, expect a big loud crowd on weekends.

Yelp
Awesome place to check out! A lot of great options - couldn't decide so we ordered a flight. My favorite was Level Line. Lemon anything is my favorite. I'm not a fan of pumpkin spice but I went for it. I didn't love it (bc pumpkin spice just isn't my thing) but if it's you're taste- you'll love it. It's very flavorful. I loved the merchandise too! Bought some merchandise to bring back to Mississippi!

Yelp
Loved Topa Yopa. Hazy IPA's we're so good. Also enjoyed the burger and fries and tater tots. Great location in downtown Santa Barbara.

Yelp
I saw Topa Topa at one of my local beer festivals, but I never stopped by their booth to try it. That was a big mistake. Luckily we were able to pop in for a flight during a weekend visit to SB. First, there is a restaurant attached to the location. It's not operated by Topa Topa, but it's right next door. There's a hallway you can pass through to get there so it's not like you have to go outside of one business and inside of another. And, the menu looked pretty good. Definitely not standard brewpub fare. Second, there's also a wine bar attached for your friends that don't like beer. You can't take the beer on the wine bar or restaurant side so you might have to do some maneuvering to figure out how to make it work. The beers were fantastic. I liked almost everything I tasted. Level Line was my favorite because it was clearly a Pale Ale. You didn't drink it and have to figure out if it was either a Pale Ale or IPA. It was mild, but still hoppy. I also really liked Flatlands, which is their Saison. It was very true to the Saison style and not tart or hopped. Very herbaceous flavors of lemon. I loved it! This is definitely on my list of places to visit when I'm in SB.

Yelp
Topa Topa - delicious food, yummy drafts and a very happy and kind wait staff. Francesca - helped me orient to find seating, food and a delicious ipa Kinsey - service with a smile. Garrett - expert on the beer pour. I highly recommend this place. Order the steak enchiladas and Chief Peak on draft. COVID precautions in place.

Yelp
By far my favorite place to grab a beer in the funk zone. Love the live music nights ! The beer selection is good ( I REALLY wish you guys would bring back the Sanjon!) but sometimes they rotate their beers, which kind of sucks, but it's nice if you want something different every once in a while.
