The 18 Best Farmers Markets In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"If you want a farmers market moment straight out of a Visit California ad, head to Topanga Canyon. After a six-year hiatus, the Topanga Farmers Market is back with 40+ vendors selling produce, artisanal goods, and prepared foods in the Santa Monica mountains. Several of them are Topanga locals, too, like Eli’s Bee Co.’s locally sourced honey, Topanga Mother’s organic sourdough, and Sweet Raw Life’s vegan cheeses and yogurts. Well-known farms like Cuyama Orchards and Weiser Family Farms are also on hand, plus stalls selling tamales, yerba mate, and açai bowls. Open Friday, 9am-1pm." - sylvio martins, garrett snyder

The primo canyon community event of the week! 🌿✨ Nothing beats frolicking through the Topanga hills, sipping local honey, and perusing the finest fruits of the season. Friendliest farmers’ market around, with the best kept-secret vibe: fanciful and free parking, a playground for the kids, and a general sense of magic in the air. It’s the spot for meet-cutes, silk dresses, fresh flowers, and nourishing essentials. I always leave feeling happier, softer, and more in love with this canyon🤸🏼‍♀️

This market is such a gem! Especially for those with kids! You have an incredible cross section of organic produce, food options, baked goods, unique craft stands all set amongst the beautiful mountains. Not to mention the playground is perfect for little ones and I love their activities such as kids music class under the oak tree and outdoor dance!

Google
My absolute favorite market in LA! Beautifully curated and has most everything you need. The sense of community is very felt and it’s a great place to take kids or have a coffee date. I truly look forward to it every week :) they also host great artisans so I always find amazing vintage clothing too.

This is my favorite Farmers Market for many reasons. One obvious reason is the high quality of the local organic vegetables, fruit, dairy, and meats! Second is the prepared food that’s ready to eat or take home. It’s a wonderful selection of gourmet, gluten-free, food allergy friendly options, and all types of high-end artisan products—baked goods, vegan options, paleo, snd even the famous grass-fed brisket sandwich. Beyond that, it’s such a beautiful setting with happy people. I always eat lunch there, and I always feel rejuvenated by connecting with the local community in this environment. At times it feels like time stands still, surrounded by majestic mountains. Honestly, I could write pages and pages praising this market. There is artwork,, skincare products, and health and wellness items. The list goes on and on. There are activities for toddlers at the music circle at 1030 AM, and even a workout class from 9 to 10 AM on the field. In a world of hustle and bustle, where community connection is so often diminished by deadlines and pressures, you can truly feel the beautiful essence of a tight-knit, traditional small-town community—right here, only minutes from Los Angeles.

More than a farmer's market! Not just for groceries. If you're visiting Topanga, it's a must! This market has local handmade crafts, kid's activities, seasonally & holiday themed events, music, delicious hot food, the best playground, a clothing swap and so much more!! They really support the community as well. Any time there is a need in the community, they fill it.

Divine farmers market! It’s super cozy and wonderful. The vendors have exquisite food. I love the vegetables, flowers, bread and cookies. Wonderful food vendors for breakfast or lunch. I always grab a coffee from the coffee guy while I walk around. They also have adorable beautiful unique clothing stalls from artists. Got a stunning long pink dress there. I often bump into friends. It’s a joy to attend this market. It gets even better if you go regularly so you get to re-meet friendly faces. They even have a fantastic workout class by Carlo Petrini in the morning. Sometimes they do blood drives there. They have donation food boxes for seniors. They do so much good! You help all the individual vendors when you shop here. And on top of it all parking is easy. I cannot recommend enough!! Get good food for yourself AND you get to help people. Make your life more joyful! Go to the market! See you there!

It is such a blessing to have a farmers market back after many years of hiatus. Ever so grateful for Freddy, Kate, and their team for all that they do to make it thrive and support our town. The farmers and food vendors are wonderful, personal, and kind. I also love the rotating artisan art offers, the special events each week, and all the yummy food vendors we get to eat from. Friday is always a big community event that I look forward to, and occasionally get to help out with delivering market boxes to our elders!, which is very special!

Obsessed with this Farmer's Market! Up in the mountains, loaded with vendors yet still feel intimate. Love the wine booth, the food trucks, the gorgeous flowers, and the vintage clothing. Great selection of produce. This is a true community treasure that really embodies the spirit of Topanga. Even got myself a Topanga Farmer's Market tote bag!

Yelp
I just wanna give a shout out to the freshest most selective farmers market I have been to! Every vendor in this market is amazing and the organization and the dedication to keeping this market thriving with unique produce, and delicious food makes this a one-of-a-kind fantastic experience. Plus an added attraction ...you can visit the canyon with its wonderful hikes and views and restaurants after you shop for the finest ingredients for your next delicious dish. Make it a day out in Topanga Canyon! You will not be disappointed. The Farmers Market is located in heart of Topanga Canyon on Fridays 9;001:00pm

Yelp
What a delightful quaint little Farmer's Market tucked away in the canyon. It has a little bit of everything for everyone. With an Eclectic mix of vendors covering everything from ready to eat Foods, produce, poultry, meats, cheeses, baked goods, clothing, jewelry, and more. Just be forewarned the Steep driveway that is taken to get to the Farmers Market can be daunting for people that are not used to driving in the canyon . Rest assure as long as your eyes are peeled and you're driving carefully and slowly you will be just fine. Luckily there are also volunteers that assist in directing traffic to let you know where to park. It's also kid friendly and has accessible restrooms.

Yelp
Topanga Farmers Market is pricey, so if you are looking for a deal, there is none to be had. Parking can be a bear and it is only open 9-1 on Friday. I think the dates are subject to change. Once at the market they have great vegetables and fruits, anything you can think of they have. They also sell clothes and some are really nice and hard to find elsewhere. We love the stalls with pickles, so so good. They have some really cool stalls with all sorts of things, from honey to perfume and things for the home. It is very nice and the vendors are great. The service is wonderful from all of the vendors. Have fun.

Yelp
Had a great time today at the Farmer's Market. All the vendors are so nice and helpful. Such a great variety of goods. Really fun atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Only problem is parking unless you opt to pay $5 or $3 for senior's. If you park on Topanga be prepared to walk up a steep hill to the the market.

Yelp
Well curated of the essentials + inspired items. Notables include re-grocery for refill pantry items + kokomoomilks. Our new Friday morning ritual. It's a vibe. Great community gathering.

Yelp
Love this market! You cannot beat the location of this spot - nestled in the mountains of Topanga. The booths are all on point / love the lavender lattes, the coconut milk, tamales and shrimp dumplings, the bread, yogurt, and the flower arrangements. All are amazing and I leave with a full basket each time.

Yelp
So grateful to have this amazing farmer's market to look forward to every week. My husband and I have made a date day out of it! Some our our favorite Vendors of all time here. Highlights include Topanga Mother for the best bread I've ever had and Mahealani Farms for the prettiest and tastiest mushrooms. Not to mention the gorgeous setting. 10/10 recommend

Yelp
This market is amazing. Probably the best farmers market in and surrounding LA with beautiful canyon views in Topanga. The vendors are carefully curated and they have sustainability in mind. Food is delicious. The artisan section is composed of artists, vintage and small brands. The organization is +++

Yelp
As a lifelong topanga local, and someone who loves farmers markets but not enough to leave the canyon, I am soooo excited we have this market in our canyon. It is so beautifully run and put together, in the most beautiful setting at our community center with gorgeous canyon views. Al the vendors are amazing and so friendly. It's also the new social gathering every Friday and a great place to people watch. Fun to volunteer as well. Everyone is so great there. Obsessed with the yogurt... and the artisan vendors as well. They rotate weekly so there are always new items to peruse.

Yelp
The most charming Farmers Market! The comeback of the Topanga Farmers Market has made getting fresh local food every week so easy! You can tell every vendor was handpicked and to offer something for everyone. They have the most delicious breads, coconut milk, yoghurt stand, Indian food and so much more! The most glorious flowers. The parking is easy and I will be going every week!

Yelp
Literally my favorite farmers market of all time. And I am not just saying that because of the STUNNING setting sitting surrounded by mountains on a hill, but its because of the vibe, the vendors (best flowers), the incredible prepared food and there is an entire rotating artisan section with killer vintage, ceramics, flowers, candles, etc. I now plan my week around Friday mornings trying make sure no meetings are scheduled between 9 and 1 pm!

Yelp
An absolute gem! Not only has the revival of the Topanga Farmers Market brought our favorite produce vendors from the Santa Monica Wednesday Market much closer to home but its gone beyond that to include stellar florals, incredible prepared foods and a beautifully curated section of rotating weekly artisans from vintage & housewares to crystals and pottery and more! The size is perfect at 40+ vendors - it's easy to get in & out if you are crunched for time or stay to hang & enjoy the community that's blossoming each week. There isn't a more beautiful place to spend Friday mornings, we love to make it a date & meet friends there while we peruse the offerings, knowing we're supporting local farmers and vendors in the process. Hot cinnamon rolls & pickles are not to be missed! It's our new favorite weekly ritual!
