Nestled in Old Town, Topo Gigio charms with hearty traditional Italian dishes and a lively atmosphere, featuring an inviting patio perfect for summer sipping.
"Topo Gigio is a family-friendly spot surrounded by sports bars in Old Town, and it’s perfect for any occasion when groups want to share bottles of wine and giant plates of pasta. There’s also a nice seafood selection (including a very good spaghetti with clams, calamari, mussels, and scallops). And a great patio you can hang out on during the summer." - adrian kane
"In the midst of all the sports bars on Wells St. in Old Town is a great Italian restaurant. Topo Gigio feels exactly like the trattoria around the corner from your homestay in Florence—the one you strolled into drunk six days a week while giving America a bad name. It’s perfect for any occasion." - sam faye, adrian kane, veda kilaru
"If you want old-school Italian that’s just the right amount of fancy for a second or third date, go to Topo Gigio in Old Town. It has some formal touches, like tablecloths and servers in white button-down shirts, and there are twinkly string lights - but this still manages to feel like a neighborhood spot. Everyone seems to be on a Chianti high, and the service is really friendly. The food is fantastic, too. If the night doesn’t go well, it wasn’t meant to happen." - adrian kane
"Topo Gigio is a small neighborhood spot in Old Town serving really good red-sauce Italian food. It’s a white tablecloth spot that isn’t cheap, but the accommodating staff is good at keeping it casual and not too stuffy. There’s a great patio to sip wine on during the summer, plus a heated inner garden area that makes this one of our favorite semi-outdoor situations year-round, even if we’re not in the neighborhood for a show." - adrian kane
"The old standby Italian spot in the neighborhood. We love eating at Topo Gigio (a.k.a. getting lost in a big bowl of pasta and a few bottles of wine) any day of the week. This is the ideal place to escape the rest of the shenanigans happening on Wells St." - sam faye, adrian kane
