This is one of my favorite places in Ridgewood. Prefer this second location over the original one.
What makes this one stand out is that it's not a place to plug in your laptop and forget everyone. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not for Topos Too. I think Topos Too is trying to get it's customers to appreciate community, focus on books and the art of the printed word. It's a place to unplug for a while. The way everything is going, this might be a good thing. The little "No Zoom Meetings" signs always amuses me. Again, there's nothing with holding Zoom or Google MeetUps in a cafe, but not everyone appreciates them.
Topos Too carefully curates their selection of books. Personally, I wish they could expand just a little on their graphic novel and design selection. Just a little. I could always walk to the original location, where they do have a larger used selection - but my preference is Topos Too.
Most of all, I appreciate that both Topos one and two shows us that print is not dead.
