Tora restaurante: alta gastronomía japonesa con fusión mediterránea en Madrid

We have had such an amazing omasake style dinner at Tora. Every plate was well prepared and delicious, I was looking for authentic experience and amazing quality of food and flavours and I got it. Thank you, chef, for cooking for us, it was awesome. P.S. I am a picky eater and my boyfriend is even worse, but he gave all plates 10/10 which literally means you should give it a try!

We visited Tora as part of our ongoing adventure to rate nigiris around Madrid. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find the restaurant completely empty, and this was at 10:00 p.m. on a Saturday, which, when it comes to eating raw fish, is usually not a great sign. Given the Michelin Guide recommendation, we were expecting outstanding service and quality, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. We ordered three types of nigiris; they didn’t look particularly appetizing, and after trying two, we found the taste disappointing enough that we decided to leave. To make matters worse, the captain’s reaction to our feedback was quite unpleasant. Overall, we wouldn’t recommend this place and definitely wouldn’t return.

I have no words to express how good Tora is. Every single plate we had it was simply spectacular. The chef took time to explain us what the dish what and how it will "taste". We decided to have the menu, which has different nigiris and entrances. The dessert, a mochi, was included and it was delicious too. Everything about this place was perfect. The service was incredible, the ambiance, EVERYTHING! Just two photos out of the +8 nigiris I had.

What a treat! If you are looking for an authentic Omakase experience in Madrid, I would really recommend Tora. The simplicity and amazing flavor of each dish made the visit worthwhile.

We had the lunch menu. Of the 10 dishes we had, I would rate 4 as perfect (in terms of taste, uniqueness, texture, etc), another 5 as excellent, and one as good. Great experience overall. We'll be back!

One of my favorite sushi restaurants on Madrid. Incredible raw materials at very reasonable price (Omakase for €80-100 / person; a la carte for $60/ person without alcohol). Chef is excellent and very knowledgeable - Recommend booking the private Omakase experience downstairs. Only comment would be that last time we went, the manager was very slow and not very attentive despite of only being a handful of people at the restaurant
