Torchy's Tacos

Was too busy to leave an actual review, so since I'm here, I'll post a few pictures. Jesus take the wheel. Payton in the countertop bar area [3 sides] was slammed but so pleasant and helpful. I always ask employees what your favorite is, and they have not failed me yet. It was heaven, and I've ordered it [the Baja Shrimp Taco] 🍤 😁 3 times. I'm getting the Tipsy Chicken to go, so I will follow up.

Stopped back by the Tipsy Chicken taco was tasty but the Baja Shrimp Taco still my favorite. Pricey tacos but worth the flavor and every red penny 😋 👌 ♥️ ...the Baja Shrimp Tacos are like a tongue 👅 festival. That's all. Ordering Tipsy Chicken to go so have to follow up on my review. Will be back in touch. Also. Payton in the countertop area is fast with service. Tip your countertop servers. Their lives depend on it...@Payton was so busy yet gave such speedy hard working service. Thanks! Worth the trip.

Kaylee and Jacob were amazing. The atmosphere is very friendly and the service was super attentive. If all the Torchys i have been to this has been top notch the best. Will always stop by when im in Dallas.

Tacos and Beer here we go!! The chips and queso are decent. The tacos are not Mexican style but still good. The beer is great, I went just to get my favorite Peticolas Velvet Hammer. During the week they have happy hour specials on Tacos and drinks. Not a bad spot to unwind and relax.

Corey was especially welcoming. He helped us choose our tacos and made great recommendations. We will definitely be back. This was our first time at Torchy’s.

As their menu says Hands down “Damn Good Tacos” and “Damn Good Drinks” too. Great Vegetarian options too with the Fried Avocado Tacos.

Great wait staff. Kaylea is great, she deserves a raise! Food was out fast and no problems with orders! Tasted amazing.

The fried shrimp taco was yummy and the queso was really good! Loved the big open window seating.

While visiting from CA, found this near the Dallas Arboretum. We were looking for a Quick, No frills, TexMex sit down place that was not just a taqueria , and this met every part of it. Awesome food, with. Vegetarian options that my wife enjoyed. And if you are looking for top shelf drinks at a reasonable price, this place has a great selection of those as well.

It had been several years since I visited this restaurant, but we were in the mood for tacos and did not want to spend $100 for dinner so we decided to give this place a try. This experience was really good. You order at the cashier and they bring the food to your table. It was fast service. We had the green chili queso which, based on my previous review, is really good. I was not wrong. The queso is excellent, not too spicy but very flavorful. I had a chicken fajita taco and it was excellent. The chicken was tender and had a deep smokey flavor. For $5 it was a deal. The salsa verde was really spicy but I got mine on the side so I could portion it myself. That's one tasty taco! The wife had the Republican, which is a brisket taco. She loved hers too. The meat was tender and smoky, The only downside to the meal was the combo of rice and beans which we got for the kid. It was too spicy for her. I tried the rice and it was spicy. She did not eat much. That is the reason for 4 stars and not 5. They need a kid's menu with spice levels toned down a bit. Overall, I saved about $100 over what we would spend at our usual Mexican restaurants. We enjoyed the food. We will be back.

Worst Torchys in existence. I never right reviews but after today I had to. DO NOT order online, the staff is literally incompetent and messed up my order 3 times while I was waiting in store. Finally received food 30 minutes after the s scheduled time

Started with a half queso - it was delicious with a nice little kick. He got a tailgater that was a fried chicken tender with wing sauce and bleu cheese crumbles....and raved about it. However, the democrats sucked. Disappointing. Although he said the meat was good. Republicans, on the other hand....amazing. I got mine with sauces on the side. Wish there was grilled pineapple here. I've been searching for a spicy fried shrimp taco with grilled pineapple ever since happy taco left garland. Sigh. Place is nice and clean. Staff was very friendly.

Came here after the holiday at the arboretum at night nearby. Had seen this place on instagram and stopped in. We got here about an hour before closing which I assume is why it was not amazing. When we got there they were already closing down parts of the resturant. The staff was nice and patient with us as we had never been here and did not know what to order. We got a trailer park trashy, baja shrimp, some kind of bourbon taco (it is not on the menu and I lost our receipt) and the taco of the month which was bad santa. We ordered a bean and cheese taco for kidlet. I was bummed that this is just tacos a la carte. I wish they had a platter where you could get 2 tacos and a side or two. I found the tacos expensive for what you get. While I appreciate that they have interesting flavors and combinations $5 a taco for what you get isn't really worth it (in my opinion). Our food was also barely warm. Kidlet's taco was cold and you could tell as the cheese was not melted and sure enough we felt it and it was not warm in the slightest. Also since this is the first and last one I have ever been in I am not sure if this is common at all of them but they look very unfinished. Lots of exposed beams and wood projects that look like they were just thrown up. Very little effort put into decor. I mean I was there for food and not decor but it was odd. I can now say I have eaten here but wouldn't go out of my way to eat at one if it was nearby.

Never knew Torchy's Tacos on Garland Road was so large and inviting. The bar area is a great place to meet neighbors and make new friends. I went last night to see a gal pal and we ended up laughing our way through the evening with a fun group of customers. SHOUT OUT to the bartender Rita "As in Margarita" she told us - easy to remember. She's been there 8 years, starting with four in the kitchen and then moving out to behind the cool bar. She was very efficient, chatted up the customers a little, kept the bar area clean and did it all with a friendliness that was pretty amazing since she's pregnant! THIS woman deserves to be moved into management: organized; hard working; smart. What are you waiting for Torchy's???? Give Rita a raise and a promotion!!! Lived over here for over 2 decades and never made it across the street (from Chili's) but I certainly will be BAAACK! Thanks Rita for a fun evening at Torchy's!

Thai place was amazing. The cheese dip is so delicious, a little spicy but delicious. The tacos were amazing. I am most impressed with the customer service. By far the best service I have received.

This is our local torchys that we frequent. It's always really good and has never had any complaints. Tonight we got 5 tacos, chips queso and salsa to go. I was significantly disappointed when two of the trailer parks were a little bit more than half cooked. This has never happened before and we were disappointed in the quality of food. Their tacos aren't cheap either so when it happens to two of them. Kinda stinks. Hopefully they can review the quality of the food a little bit more.

Food is good. The monthly taco and secret menus keep the options constantly changing. Uriel and Rita at the bar are amazing. Always so nice.

Kaylen was amazing, really good service, very attentive and sweet. The food was good, and the ambience was perfect.

Torchy's was a great place for tacos and chips and queso. The queso was full of flavor and it wasn't bland. This was a nice appetizer to chomp on while waiting for our tacos to arrive. Also props to the chips for having enough salt that they taste great to eat on their own. I ordered the trailer park and fried avocado taco. The Trailer Park taco was delicious. I enjoyed the fried chicken in a taco with all of options. It just ended up tasting wonderfully. And the fried avocado was a fantastic contrast to the fried chicken. It was a nice change in texture that wasn't disgusting. So very delicious.

Fear not we have eaten several times at Torchy's in last year just in Colllin county. We only get to this location once a year for an errand. They didn't disappoint as the tacos were super great. I got the Dec 2023 special see photo. Constant nr. of customers dining in and take out. More need to review as it deserves higher marks.

Service and food was bomb! We got Baja shrimp, Mr. Orange, the crossroads, Democrat, and the Trailer park. Didn't really like the trailer park but crossroads and Baja taco 10/10!

I'm not coming here anymore. I've given multiple chances and they always get my order wrong. There's been instances when I come up there 2x for the same order. I know my fault for not checking. But I assumed it would be correct. I don't even have a complicated order either. Chorizo in my hillbilly queso and corn tortilla instead of flour. This is ridiculous.

There was a reason why we havnt ordered from Torchys for over four years...now we remember why; The tacos were sooooooOVERSALTED, they were INEDIBLE!! SOOOOOOOVERSALTED that my "Beyond Burger meat" taco burned my mouth....So much for the "healthy" aspect of a "beyond beef" meat taco....YUCK! Into the trash it went! NEVER EVER AGAIN!

The food was tasty, the service was great, and it had a nice atmosphere. We had never been there, but plan to go back.

Torchys always hits well. Trailer trash chicken taco is elite. The queso is the best. Service is always good.

I like Torchys, I really do. But 75% of the time my order is wrong. Sometimes it's the wrong tortilla, sometimes it's the wrong item, sometimes they just don't bring something. But almost always, I ask for queso with no Diablo sauce and it comes with Diablo sauce. I can't eat it and it's such a pain in the a** to ask for a different queso every time. So I gave up. Probably not ordering the queso ever again. Still might be back, maybe chips and guacamole next time?

Erica made our visit with 16 teenagers absolutely amazing! We descended upon this location during a trip from Maryland with no heads up to the staff because we had to try the famous tacos. And they accommodated us beautifully. AND! The tacos, chips and queso and churros were everything we hoped for and more. This place is truly delicious and the management is top notch!

The food here is good. My daughter the Vegitarian loves the fried avacado taco, the queso and potato egg and cheese taco. I ordered a kids taco and it was good. The margaritas are strong, but I'm not a drinker.

My order is always correct, the one issue is online orders aren't always ready by the time they say they will be. Best and most affordable queso.

I love me some torchy taco! Come to Jacksonville Florida. The tacos are unique and not like anything I have ever tasted. It's been a little bit since being in Texas. But the servers are friendly here. This location is usually hard to get a parking spot. You might have to drive around a couple rounds. Also the flames of fire, and cuss words on the wall don't make it very family friendly. They have Maine root soda. So good. And cane sugar is used. I usually go here a few days while In town. I could eat the trailer park taco for days!

Unfortunately, I've had bad experience at this location. I've been here 5 times. The person taking my order never smiles. One visit, I had to wait forever for anyone to even come take my order. Today my taco was cold and the avocado was kind of brown. My last visit, the person delivering the food walked right by me 5 times with my food and couldn't find me until I said something. So, I will not be coming back!

First time trying Torchy's! Best queso I've ever tried! 100% recommend this place. Aside from the service and the ambiance, the food is great quality, the flavor is amazing and the food portioning is perfect! I will definitely be coming back! Great atmosphere and the customer service is exceptional.

We love going to Torchy's for breakfast tacos on the weekend. They've got a great special on mimosas for $4. Trevor at the bar, and Jonathan managing kitchen are great guys!

I love torchys. always the best meal and pretty quick. can count on good service every time. I love eating with friends because it is so close to school. Mrs. Kayla is always the best server!

This place is amazing! no matter what you get you will absolutely love it. The service and atmosphere is great. You have to try the amazing queso and the trailer park tacos, make sure you get them trashy!!! I will be coming back to this place, my daughter and i absolutely love it!

Torchy's is one of my favorite taco shops. The service is typically good, I like the Republican, and my friend gets the Democrat. I try to get to one of the DFW Torchy's at least once a month.

I love torchys. It's so good. The queso is buss. GO GET IT. and the fried avacado tacos omg i could cry.
