Torchy's Tacos

The food is incredibly delicious and creative. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. However, be prepared for a bit of a price shock - it's not the cheapest option. That being said, the quality and quantity make it worth the splurge. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Wonderful service. Janessa and Mallory were extremely helpful in explaining the menu and answering all of our questions as we decided. Sasha was a great bartender with great recommendations on what to get to drink. Overall, 10 out of 10.

As usual the food and service were amazing! We were greeted by Janessa who is absolutely the most friendly person I believe I have ever met! The food arrived quickly the other staff was as friendly as Janessa, it must be contagious! We had a great meal and will be back soon!

Amazing food and first class service. Mallory helped us out when the salsa was too spicey on the taco for my daughter - thank you! One of my all time favorite restaurants:) I have not met a taco of the month that I dont love.

The “Ranch Hand” was the best breakfast taco I’ve ever had. Janessa was great at making suggestions and friendly chat all while being professional, courteous and efficient. Thank You ☺️

Such a great selection and range of tacos to choose from! We had 3 different tacos and weren’t disappointed in any of them! Great location and plenty of seating - both inside and out. The patio is huge and the atmosphere is nice. Wait staff seemed really nice. Great little taco place!

the food was amazing! every employee was very nice and my food came out really quick, definitely recommend this place! they have a wide variety of options and let you customize your meal to your liking. one of my favorite restaurants hands down!!

Best place in town if you're looking to sit at a bar and be ignored for 10+ minutes. The food is delicious and the service is every bit as terrible as the food is good. Who doesn't love spending a third of their lunch break sitting at a bar waiting for someone to get you a drink and take your order? If you're ever wondering what it feels like to be invisible, just go to Torchy's and sit at the bar.

The proteins are the star at Torchy's. Very well marinated and seasoned. I enjoyed how the additions to each taco are balanced with high flavor. P.s the torch is the salsa. I felt that heat to the back of my brain... but in a good way.

We typically love Torchy's Tacos but we ordered takeout on a Friday and it was fine but nothing exceptional like it typically is. One of my tacos was missing the actual taco shell and the second one was room temperature at best. The chips and guacamole were the best parts of our meal but overall just not a wonderful experience. We placed our order just before 6pm and it wasn't ready until 6:30 which isn't a crazy amount of time but definitely longer than typical... not sure what was going on this time but I'm sure it was just a fluke and well be back.

So many tacos to try at Torchy's! Some are better than others. Every month they have a unique taco of the month which is exciting to try. I enjoy the unique architecture in here as well.

Finally got to the kiosk to place order and figured out you can't customize (eg grilled chicken on taco instead of fried) through the kiosk. Finally got to the one cashier and she just left. 10 minutes later we were told that they were backed up in the kitchen and were pausing orders but we could still use the kiosk (what?!!). The kiosk line is now 10 deep so we decided to place order through the app (gave up on getting grilled chicken). Before we could finish placing ordering through the app the cashier was back taking orders. Process must have been designed by a 10 year old. We've been here over 30 minutes and still don't have food. Not worth the frustration

first time coming to torchys. first thing i notice is the girl on front counter not facing the counter or paying attention to the customers around her. next thing is the person running the food to the table. extremely rude. didn't say a single thing to us either times visiting us. basically threw our food at us and didn't even ask us who ordered what just threw it down at us. then REACHED OVER US to grab the table number thing. lovely first time! also food was cold.

Wanted to try Torchys in Fayetteville as we were a fan when we lived in DFW. Not disappointed. The tacos were very fresh and came to the table quickly. As expected and thank you. Will be back next time we have a taco craving.

Fun tacos, the fusion efforts are fresh. Service is a bit spotty ... staffers are pretty disinterested even for high school / college service industry peeps ... never been bad though. Ambiance is great. The place is always spotless and climate controlled. Bonus points for being on MLK by campus, an area that has never had good food.

The food was great, just like the Torchys near our house in Texas. My favorite taco is the Democrat with barbacoa and avocado. I also love their guacamole. It's got a little kick to it. We were able to place our order quickly. Food came out fast. The restaurant was clean and the servers were friendly.

Pro- building looks cool. Con: Walk inside to stand in a long line to over pay for tacos. Then go find a seat and have your food brought out 1-2 items at a time. No thanks. It was mediocre at best. Don't waste the money.

They won't let you call in a carry out order and charge a SERVICE FEE for ordering online. So unless you're planning on dining in be prepared to pay more! Disgusting business practice.

No fried cookie dough balls. Screw this place, they need to get it back on the damn menu.

We drove an hour on the recommendation of the food. I looked at ratings and pics of feed and seemed worth a try. Unfortunately I was immediately turned off by the satanic theme of torches and devils and damnation. The food was a step down from Chuys and more fattening than a Chipotle. Their fresh juice lemonades with clean ingredients like blueberry and turmeric were the best part of the experience. As a Christian I won't be back just on the principle of not supporting evil branding. For a Sunday it definitely wasn't a church crowd. What happened to good food, patriotism, and One Nation Under God?

Pretty good food, pretty good service, all in all was happy with our lunch and while probably wouldn't go out of our way to come back we will certainly revisit the restaurant

This place is amazing. We ordered avocado tacos, queso, salsa, the street corn, a tequila sunrise and a sangria. We happened to come during happy hour and the drinks were good! My favorite thing about torchy's is the queso. It's the best queso in the world and has a kick to it!

Great food in a fun brand new venue. There are about 12 different taco's to choose from and we all had a hard time deciding what to get. Between the three of us we had four different tacos and they were all good. Food was fresh and portions were ample. The Queso was excellent As far as seating goes you can sit at the bar, at a table or in the outdoor seating area. The atmosphere is upbeat with four TV screens behind the bar and a mix of pop and rock music playing. We will certainly be back.

Delicious tacos and cheese dip with my daughter. The service was great and I appreciate that they found my prescription glasses and called me back so I could get them. I'll definitely be back!

If you're looking for tacos but with a punch of flavors outside of average, Torchys is the spot! The Queso is next level (I might have dreams about it), every taco at our table was delicious and filling. This is not your mama's taco spot, it's yours!

I give the chips and queso a 5. I give the food a 4.5. I give the bartender a zero becuz his attitude frickin' sucks. I went up to the bar at 9:51 to order a margarita and he said the bar closed at 10:00. So I showed him my phone and he said, "Last call was at 9:50". I said, "you just made that up". He responses, "no I didn't and manager is right here". So some random dude behind the bar shakes his head up and down! Really..?!? What the heck?' Buyer beware if you want more drinks before 10:00pm. Total attitude problem!!

Torchy's is by far my favorite Taco place! If they had drive through I would eat there more than any other Mexican fast food place. The queso is hands down my favorite!

As an ex-Austinite, I really want to like this place, but it's just fallen so far from what it originally was; their rapid growth and commercialization has just tanked Torchy's quality (this includes their Austin locations). Now like many pillars of Austin culture, Torchy's is just a caricature of its former self. Positives: - Queso, it's still the best - Fried Avocado was solid Negatives: - Service is hit-or-miss - We got burnt chicken on the Trailer Park - The Migas was virtually inedible - First time we went the marg machine was broken - Second time we went the margs were undrinkable (like physically, they were the consistency of thick ice cream) I could probably overlook that for the cool vibe, but the cost is just insane for what you're getting. It's fast food quality at a fancy restaurant price. When I think about when I would try it again, I realize this place just doesn't really make sense. I could get better tacos at a better price at any taqueria. I could get better margaritas at a better price at any sit-down Mexican restaurant. I could get better food, better margs, better vibes, better service, and the same price at Chuy's.

Placed a pickup order and it gave me a time to pickup which was 6:20 pm. Got there at 6:22 and it still wasn't ready. Waited until after 7 and then one of the girls asked for the name and said that they had to reprint the ticket and continued to wait another 10 minutes. But they did give me a free queso coupon.

Was excited to try this place out as they are opening one closer to my house. I came with my friend and her son. We all ordered and we just underwhelmed with the food and the service. I wanted to order something that was off their breakfast menu, but there was no indication that it was part of their breakfast menu or that they only served their breakfast menu on specific days (the worker told me but I can't remember what days they were). I asked for my receipt and I got the service copy, so I don't even know how much each of my items were? I also couldn't remember if I had said yes to a drink, and I couldn't verify independently on my receipt, so I had to go back up and ask if I did in fact order a drink. The food was just okay. I was not sure what I expected but for $5ish for ONE taco, I thought it was going to be this gourmet taco and it was just a pretty basic taco.

The Fayetteville Torchys has a nice open atmosphere, but it was filthy. There were literally 6 tables unclean. We had to ask an employee for a rag to clean off a table. The red-headed manager (working on August 2nd) was extremely rude when we asked. Some of the food is really good (like the salsa, queso, refried beans, and some of the tacos. The burrito had very little meat though.

Fayetteville hits another LOW...........Again---when it come to his not being a food town. My wife and I thought we would try this place today. The only thing this place has going for it is that is is open on Monday---but that is it!!!! High prices, lousy service. They charge for salsa which was "ICE COLD". Can you imagine that....Paying for salsa???? We had one taco, one order of corn and some Guacamole. 30 bucks. You even have to buss your own tables. Waist of time, money, and space. People here are impressed with very little. DO NOT BOTHER-should be a NO STAR review. B Meade

Had DoorDash deliver, the fried avocado had two very small slices on the tostadas. It was mushy, and nasty. The street corn and the queso was extremely cold. I had went in the restaurant before and ate and everything was perfect but once you order to go or order it to be delivered, they don't care what the food turns out after it leaves the restaurant it's a shame because they will not. I will not be back and I want my money back .

Today we went to the friends and family soft opening of the first Torchy's Tacos in Fayetteville! The food is so good! These are specialty tacos that fill you up! We all tried different tacos from blackened salmon to a fried egg and waffle taco. Check out the pics! My fav was the Brushfire which was spicy without adding the sauce. The mango and sour cream were the perfect compliment to the jerk chicken. The quacamole and the hillbilly queso were both fantastic! I can see how the cheese dip made Torchy's famous in Texas. They open to the public on August 7th. When you arrive you will order at a counter then they use an electronic table recognition system so the staff know where to serve your food. There is a full service bar if you don't want to order at the counter. They have a fantastic outdoor covered seating area. There are big screen TVs over the bar area currently and plans to add tvs outdoors. This is such a fun atmosphere! Oh and don't forget in about a month they will be able to serve from their frozen margarita machines and 10 tap beer station! I can't wait to go back and try some more tacos later this week! My new fav hangout!

The service was okay. The guy who took our order messed up and only gave me one taco but I ordered two. The food was fast. I ordered fried avocado tacos and the avocado was soggy but my friends was burnt. Overall not the best but not the worst.

I love the concept of this taco shop. The building is super cool. The queso dip with chorizo was really good. The taco choices were very cool. We tried 4 different tacos and we loved them. We will be back to try the rest. It is very cool. The service was spot on and the place was really clean. Super close to the u of Arkansas.

I have taken my time between visits due to the prices at Torchy's yet after my 2nd visit I'm sold. So relax the wallet it's worth it. The salmon taco was a meal, fresh condiments as well as the fish. It was simply succulent and delicious! The burrito was evenly distributed and really tasty. Jerk chicken taco was full of flavor, it could have been more Spicy? It was still outstanding and I guess they have to allow for the weenies! The lack of salsa made my chips long for a larger portions. They did give me a large poblano ranch So probably my ordering wrong, great mistake, it was fabulous and spicy enough to make up for the the chicken .. Last but not least; the street corn.. I was seriously agitated when it was in a bowl!? Hellooo.. street corn is On The Cob! Then, tasted it... all is forgiven, absolutely scrumptious! Who needs a cob? Torchy's will become a regular...

Torchy's all over is a great food chain with great tacos. But this location's service is very poor. Opened at 11 AM and I put in an online order at 11:02 AM and had to wait 45 min before my food was ready. No help. Poor service.

"Cooked to order--just the way you like it." Liars. You have never once gotten my To Go order right. After watching your employee wipe her snotty nose in front of me and then not wash or sanitize her hands, I'm done giving you anymore chances. I'd like the money back for the guacamole I paid for but didn't receive but you can think of it as a parting gift.

Queso with chorizo is the best, ever. Tacos are also delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tacos were great! They did forget one taco we ordered, but brought it out quickly when we let them know and gave us a voucher for a free taco.

Amazing cheese dip, guacamole, and delicious tacos. Inventive tasty cocktails. I often order Torchys for large family gatherings and they have been accurate with every item for take out so I never have to check the sacks. They truly go above and beyond to meet customers needs, with exceptional food and service, in a COVID safe environment.

Friendly service. Tried the taco of three month firecracker shrimp. I'm not a fan. It was hot just to be hot, there was no additional flavor to the dish. I love hot and spicy dishes but I like for the heat to be combined with bold flavors. My second taco came with a sauce I asked to be removed and replaced and it was not. I ate it. The sauce is ok I just prefer my favorite sauce on it. Overall it was a nice lunch and chance to get out of the house.

I had placed an order at 8:45 knowing they are closing at 9. I had picked the wrong thing online and went back in to tell them. I had offered to pay for my order to be fixed because it was all my fault, but the lovely lady at the front (who I did not get a name of) insisted I didn't pay and it will be right out. It became past 9 and I had felt so bad that they were still cooking past closing. Cisco I believe is the name came out and gave me a free taco voucher for waiting. I was the one who made the mistake and had them still make more food for me and they came out with 4 more of my order and another queso. They seriously went above and beyond for a stranger who made the mistake. I hope these two great people see this and know how amazing this interaction was. Thank you so much y'all deserve so much!!!!!!!!

This is a great spot to grab lunch before the Razorback game. You can even pay extra to leave your car and walk to the stadium. This was our first time trying the restaurant, but I will definitely be back next time we're in town. The service was fast and friendly. The food was great and flavorful too. The menu has a lot of variety so there is something for everyone. The only negative thing I have to say is that it's overpriced.

Never fill the queso all the way. For $8 it should be filled to the brim but it's about 1/2 way - 3/4 way at most. I go to torchy's religiously and this is how it literally always is. They also frequently mess up my order

Great food, great location, good service. In depth, I know... oh yeah, get the chipotle sauce on anything you get.

This is a great taco place, interesting combinations. My suggestions are the trailer park "trashy" and the democrat. Also don't miss the Hillbilly Queso. Very good!

All of the tacos are very delicious. A little expensive for tacos though. Queso is also amazing.

Was really excited to try Torchys in NWA after being to some in Austin. The menu here is limited compared to TX though which was disappointing. They also messed up our order so had to wait again for it to be remade. It was a difference of corn and flour tortillas so we just ate the wrong wrongs and took the right ones to go because we were hungry. They made it right but it took twice as long. Would likely go back but not go out of my way for it.

Great place to hang out. However, EVERYTHING on the menu is hot. If you like hot and spicy- this is the place for you. However, if someone in your party can't have hot and spicy, he or she is SOL! Also, the food wasn't awesome - not much flavor, just heat. Building and ambience is nice. The food, not so much.

I've heard about Torchy's from my friends in Dallas so I had to try it out. Placed an online order, the staff was really friendly and had the order ready on time. The line was out the door, so I was impressed that it was ready for me. Very cool interior and the patio seating was really nice I ordered a Democrat and some queso. As other reviewers have said the barbacoa on the Democrat was very bland and had little taste. The taco was very large, easily double or triple the size of a taqueria taco. The queso was alright, chunkier than I prefer, but that's ok.
