Torchy's Tacos

Tried Torchy’s Tacos recently and overall, it was a really yummy experience! The Trio Dip (queso, guac, and salsa) was a definite highlight—super flavorful and perfect for sharing. That said, I really wish the queso had been hotter. It was barely warm, which was kind of a letdown because a hot queso just hits differently. I got the veggie bowl, and it was delicious—fresh ingredients and great flavor. The portion was on the smaller side, but the quality made up for it. The atmosphere was great—casual vibes—and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d go back to.

I don’t go to chain restaurants much, but Torchy’s is a great option. They are super creative with their regular and secret menu. Had not been in a while so did not know they have bowls now. I got the fire bowl. Spot on with many flavors. Their street corn can’t be passed up.

I got the slow roasted Angus brisket taco and the Mexi-Cali shrimp taco. Both were pretty good. They were packed with flavor. The Angus brisket taco was dripping in oil though, which was unnecessary to make it taste good. Would definitely order from here again.

I visited Torchy's on a Sunday evening and had a pretty good experience. The restaurant was empty when I arrived, so the atmosphere was pretty quiet. It was pretty cold inside and it felt really good coming in from a hot day. I ordered the fajita taco, and it was seriously good. Definitely my favorite part of the meal. The flavors were on point, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty taco. The food took longer to come out than I expected, but once it arrived, I could tell it was worth the wait. The prices were a little higher than I'd anticipated for a taco, but the quality made it worth it. Overall, I’d go back for that fajita taco!

I haven’t been to Torchy’s in 2 years because I moved out of the country. It’s exactly how I remembered it but better because Karma was the sweetest cashier and the service was wonderful! Everyone was so kind. You really can’t beat GREAT food and GREAT service😊

Everything is excellent... first time coming and really impressed but the price is okay

I got the baja shrimp taco, trailer park taco, queso, and a drink. All of the food was fantastic and delicious!! It truly hit the spot after a long day of travel. The person at the front who took my order was such a nice person. She helped me sign up for the reward program and helped to give me recommendations as to what I would like. The vibes were great and the service was quick and easy! I wanted extra poblano sauce and the person who brought us our food gave it to us quickly. Definitely recommend this location!

Not sure why this Torchy's rating isn't higher. Been to a lot of Torchys, 4 of them on a regular basis. I would rank this location as; tied for first place among all the ones I've been to. They have a nice atmosphere, and a great bar area with TVs. Their food is very consistent and the quality is very high! Other than sometimes having to wait in a long line, because they're so popular! The service (all in all) has been very good... certainly compared to anybody else in this type of business! Their queso is the best I've had, as compared to anyone else's! Chips are always fresh and crisp, and refills are free. They have a variety of sauces, if you like hot, the Diablo is amazing! In case you don't know, it's basically a taco truck converted into a storefront/style. I highly recommend the entire chain, in particular this location. It's never a question of if I'll be back. It's just whether it will be tomorrow or next week!

I love this location! Customer service is always on point! Love the bar and patio area! Secret menus never disappoints! Love their special of the month. Make sure to sign up for their reward program! Serving size is always a bang for the buck! Fresh breakfast tacos, great dinner tacos, awesome tots and sides! Got to love the chips and dip - add meat or not! The atmosphere is awesome, TV's in the bar area! Always clean! I'm here for a long time! Cheers!

Met a friend here...never have I eaten here before. The inside was filled with nice designs, and tv's to watch sports. Alex was the cashier, he was nice, and friendly. My Blackened Salmon taco was pretty good. I wasn't crazy about the queso or chips. My Sangria wasn't bad but rather icy. I'd return, if ever invited again.

First of all I loaded the Torchy s AP and ordered delivery from this AP. My order never arrived. I got texts from the driver but when I called the number he would hang up on me or it would say vm not set up. I called the store and they said there was nothing they could do to help because the AP uses DoorDash. Why is it torchys AP but they can't help? So I order directly from the store but they aren't responsible?? Why doesn't the AP say we use DoorDash? Finally after 2 hours of dealing with the situation I picked up the order from torchys. Still have not received my refund from the botched order. And to make matters worse the food was awful! I love torchys but the food at this location and night was just awful. Finally the point of this post is that the store should have been at least a little responsible for a service they use that the customer doesn't even have a clue is being used. DoorDash ultimately failed but I didn't choose to use DoorDash and should have had support from the store.

First time here and it didnt disappoint as the Fajita Plate was well enough for a couple to share. Unless your like myself d want to eat the whole plate. The service was fast in regards of ordering and receiving the food. There is a bar on the otherside and it was full, however the whiskey list isn't much. I would say no ambiance as it was loud and I think I got there right before the crowd arrived as well.

Howdy, folks! Captain 619 here, a California cowboy, ready to tip my hat to Torchy's Taco over at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas. I moseyed on in there and ordered up a chicken burrito. Now, I've wrangled many a burrito in my day, but this one was a real prize catch. The chicken was tender as a summer's night, and the fixin's? Spicier than a rattlesnake's hiss. But hold your horses, 'cause that ain't all. The service was faster than a jackrabbit in a desert heatwave. And the price? Friendlier than a saloon girl, didn't put a dent in my wallet at all. Now, I've had my fair share of Mexican grub back in sunny San Diego, and while this wasn't quite the same, it was a darn good Tex-Mex twist. So, if you ever find yourself roaming around Irving, Texas, make sure you hitch your wagon at Torchy's Taco. You won't regret it, I promise ya. This is Captain 619, signing off. Happy trails, folks!

A friend suggested we try this place and finally got around to it for lunch recently. They have a variety of tacos and you can order any combo or amount to satisfy your hunger. I went with the Tipsy Chick which was a good portioned taco with the grilled chicken and other items. The bacon bourbon marmalade was an interesting twist but it was delicious. My second taco was the Green Chile Pork. While I didn't feel like this one was as generous in portion, the flavor of the port was great and the tomatillo sauce was amazing. My husband also had the Green Chile Pork taco and said it was his favorite. He also had the Trailer Park which features fried chicken and the Brush FIre with Jamaican Jerk Chicken. You order your food at the counter when you first come in. The staff was helpful when we shared it was our first visit and helped us navigate how things operate. You can grab any seat you'd like and they bring the food out to you when ready. They also had a full bar which was impressive but we didn't partake this go around. (Their happy hour offerings sound interesting). Only reason why we didn't do 5 stars was the cost was a bit on the higher end for the portion of food. The different combos and bold flavor definitely stand out and make it worth trying.

Went here for the first time and really enjoyed it. Had the queso with chips and did not disappoint. Had the Crossroad taco with brisket, avocado cheese and tomatillos sauce. It was delicious and a nice size taco. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely come back.

Im from out of town and was driving by Torchy's when I saw the cute little neon devil. To be honest, I didn't even know what type of food they served but I was inclined to stop by solely because of their mascot! To my surprise, it was a taco joint! Looking over their menu, they have a good variety of inventive tacos and honestly it was hard to pick just a couple to try out! I ended up picking (3) tacos; Green Chile Pork, Baja Shrimp, and Mr. Orange. My favorite by far was the Baja Shrimp, but honestly, they were all pretty good! If you are looking for something fast and unique as far as food chains go, this place is a no brainer!

Baby baby baby!!! Everything & I mean EVERYTHING was made fresh & delicious! You would've thought I hadn't eaten in years the way I was devouring this food. The tacos were all flavorful, the queso wasn't watered down & was delicious, the restaurant was clean and the staff was delightful. I will definitely put this into the regular rotation.

I love Torchy's, especially the queso! This review is for the queso, Republican, Trailer Park, Mofaux, and Piledriver (July 2023 taco of the month). Food: Queso is always solid! Can never go wrong and so good! Mofaux is tasty and you can't tell it's vegan; it also tastes similar to the "Impossible Taco salad" from Mendocino Farms. Trailer Park was ok! It's a basic taco unless you "make it trashy" and add queso. Republican is decent but I prefer the Democrat taco. Finally the Piledriver July 2023 taco was good, but now we're in August so my review of it would be obsolete. Service and ambiance: Service is always good at this location! Usually somewhat busy, but you can always find a seat!

It had been a few years since I had been back to Torchy's and let me tell you that I regret not going back sooner. The guacamole and salsa were really good! The tacos were super stuffed, I could've done it with 2 and not the 3 that I ordered! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the music and nice breeze on a summer night! The food didn't take too long and they brought out to us!

This location is great!!! We looked on Google and nothing popped up on the map. But we are so glad that we drove by and saw the signs. Service was fast and great! And of course the food was better than great delicious!!!

Our food was good, service was fast, and the atmosphere was what you'd expect at your restaurant. The only complaint I have is the food was a little on the pricey side.

Torchy's. Torchy's. Torchy's. What can I say? Always delicious. Always packed. And, with good reason. Today, I had the Brushfire (jerk chicken) and the Mr. Orange (salmon) tacos. I don't like avocado so I requested the poblano sauce for my Mr. Orange, instead. Well, it was so yummy and juicy already, that I did not need the sauce! Both tacos were really good but the Mr. Orange had a lot more flavor. What's your favorite? What else should I try? Service was extremely fast. By the time I paid, got my drink and found a seat, the server was already there with my food! Wow! The ambiance is pretty laid back and casual. I sat on the patio since it was a beautiful day and inside felt like Antarctica. Joining me were hopeful birds just waiting for something to fall or be left on the table and tons of people on their lunch break.

Came here after dropping someone off at the airport and was glad I made the trip. The dining area is by far the best Torchy's I've been in! Their indoor dining area is large and spread out. Their bar area feels like a legitimate bar and has plenty of TV's if sports are your thing. The bar stools are cushioned as well, which is something I haven't seen at a Torchy's till now. The outdoor eating area isn't crazy, but is nice and compliments the restaurant well. The staff on top of everything was great and very helpful all around! My real only regret is I couldn't stay longer.. Overall, 10/10, definitely recommend this Torchy's if you're in the North Irving area!

Trailer park and the shrimp taco. The only thing I was consider , the cheeses is really good Too many ingredients for one taco can even eat it without the tortilla falling apart. If you want to call, shorter spired, maybe get out that going on Margarita yeah but nothing else .

Good Food, Good Service, Great atmosphere, they have music playing inside the restaurant, I got three breakfast tacos with bacon, egg, and cheese. Could've have more seasoning on the tacos other than salt. But overall it's a great place to eat food. I'd recommend coming here!

I just got off a plane from New York and made my first trip to Torchy's and I wasn't disappointed. Great variety of tacos - I tried and enjoyed the trailer park and the crossroads. The queso with green chile was a tasty appetizer. And I always like places with local beers and torchy's had a nice selection. Good value, quality and service. Worth a visit.

Torchys never disappoints. This locations staff is the nicest and timely with the orders. Lexy was kind and attentive when taking my order. Definitely coming back again.

We were told at the register that chips and Salas were included. But when our order came, we did not get it. The manager, however, was very kind and accompanied us. Very welcoming place.

While traveling for work I was looking for something new that I don't have at home. Tacos sounded great so I figured I'd give Torchy's a try. The food is excellent and quick. Serving sizes are huge. I got the Trailer Park served trashy style as well as the republican. Both were above expectations. Probably could have gotten away with just one. I also got the Hillbilly Queso with chips. Let's just say it's a dancing plethora of meat and cheese on the palette. Will definitely try Torchy's again the next time I'm in the area.

Torchys margaritas are always on point and food is also delicious good food for anytime of the day

my churros were very burnt. tacos were average. i probably won't go again. salsa wasn't all that good

Torchy's is a go to place for my family. We are frequent visitors and take out specialists. The food has never disappointed and the staff is charming. The dine in experience offers a little more food and a friendly bartender. The only negative is the room temperature, a bit chilly. Bring a sweater!

Of course she has some of the best vegan food in town and it's always intensely flavorful with lots of habanero and lots of complex flavors and they have really good drinks especially teeny the way Alex carrier service and access if you would consider leaving a review but only after he had asked how we enjoyed the food and because we said it was excellent

The group did it right again today, Mitch and the crew are Awesome! Lunch at this place is fantastic, they get you your food asap! Customer service is a 10!

My second time at Torchys! I tried it for the first time in Austin. We got it to go but the taco size was smaller than what I had remembered. The Independent, Trailer park (trashy style) and shrimp taco were all good. I heard so much about the chips and queso but didn't realize they are spicy so we didn't enjoy them that much (cannot handle spice). The inside has decent amount of seats and we only had to wait for 10 to 15 minutes. Definitely a place to go to since it's not everywhere in the US.

BIGGEST TACOS EVER! These are not even close to your typical street tacos. Tried this place while visiting from Socal where tacos are aplenty. For tacos I got the Democrat and the Mr Orange. I really enjoyed both together since it's similar to surf and turf. The beef tasted really lean and I liked all the toppings they paired with it. Would say both were a little on the blander side but probably better that it's not full of a bunch of fatty sauces. The corn tortillas tasted so fresh!! Our table also got some queso and a side of corn. Both of these were super flavorful. The queso had a nice spicy kick to it and I think they put cilantro which was a good combo. Corn was good too! I wish they offered some more side salads or other veggies since the menu is pretty heavy.. I do like that they put the calorie info on there in case you're counting. Not a lot of fast food places advertise those on the menus. Overall great! Would come back when I'm in town again!

Everyone said I had to give them a 2nd chance, I did and I wasn't disappointed. Customer service was great, everyone was friendly and helpful. Lime and strawberry margarita was really good! Chips and queso were very flavorful and was on point. I ordered the chicken fajita and it was very big and good. Definitely worth the price. They also have a secret menu at the register.

Oh Torchy's, you make Tuesday oh so tasty!! I have been to many of their locations, today was my first trip to the one in Irving. When I walked in I was the only one here which was really strange but I guess it was a tad early. I liked the styling that they did, the bar was centrally located and has some really fun hexagon tiles, they also carried that over in an accent wall by the order desk. Lots of Sputnik light fixtures. The servers were all extremely friendly and checked on me multiple times. I ordered the taco of the month Mofaux (but some regular fajita meat instead of the faux stuff they had going on) a half order of chips and queso and some street corn. Everything was extremely tasty as always. That diablo sauce don't play. Love you Torchy's, thanks for the taco realness.

Really amazing service service from the counter to bringing out the food. Other than that the tacos are overpriced and just ok. Maybe someone could steer me the right way. I ordered the brushfire taco and tailgater taco. They didn't speak to me all too much. The website even says "Damn Good Tacos" yet neither one were "damn good" but "just ok." Maybe they can reword the website to be more accurate. Friends keep telling me to try the queso but after my experience I'm not even sure I want to return. I keep thinking overrated tacos with high margins!

As a long time Austinite, recently relocated to DFW, I've scored tacos from various Torchy's many times over the years, and watched the little chain grow from state to state. Doordash order of queso and various tacos for Friday night tex mex at home. Queso as always scores big, lots of flavor, just the right thickness, nice little bite of heat. Great with their fresh warm chips. Poblano sauce, creamy and spicy; between the queso, poblano sauce and chips, a great starter to fuel happy hour martinis while the main course of tacos lounges in their bag. Very easy to customize each taco to exactly your taste via Doordash, and everything was perfectly as ordered and nicely packaged. Warm up a crossroads taco and a green chile taco with a quick nuke, drizzle a little poblano and diablo sauce on each, and dig in. Been hunting around for the best tex mex in the area, thought Torchy's would be good in rotation, and was not expecting to be as blown away by how tasty the entire order was. Still need my tex mex chile enchiladas occasionally, but otherwise Torchy's Tacos is currently #1 on my favorites for local tex mex.

Never had a bad experience here. I'm from Utah so I don't get Torchy's very often. When I do come to TX, it's always my first stop. Today I swung by right after I flew in. They haven't missed a beat! Let's first talk about that magical, stupendous, glorious, awe-inspiring pre-meal hors d'oeuvres called Chips and Queso. Chips: perfect crispness. Queso: perfect in every way. Would I mind bathing in this substance? No, no I wouldn't. Just please provide me with some chips within arm's reach. It seriously - the cheesiness with an added touch of spice... mmmmmm Let's tacobout the next food: you can't go wrong with ANY of their tacos. That's all.

First timer to this joint!!! Bruhhhh if you're new to my reviews... SHAME ON YA. Where you been?!? Lol... but seriously if you follow my reviews you'll know I LOVE TACOS!!! So, when my friend asked Saltgrass or Torchy's ya'll ALREADY know my answer. I ordered the fried avocado, trailer park and another taco. Everything was beyond delicious. But the trailer park came with a caramelized bacon jam to add on top...LAWWWD SWEET BABY JESUS that jam had me lickin' my fingers. I didn't eat the bacon, but the syrup from it Yassss. Sweet & Savory with a hint of tang in combination w/ the grilled chicken and spinach...ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY!!! The fried avocado was amazing as well. The refried beans on the corn shell blended very well with the crisp and warmth of the avocado. All in all I'd definitely dine here again.
