Torchy's Tacos

Food was excellent 👌 exactly as ordered. They took our orders quickly, and got the food out shortly after we filled our drinks. The speedy service was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I love the food here, and this location even outperformed others. The chips were warm and crispy. They were so tasty with our queso and sampler dips. TVs are visible and hanging near the bar. The fast casual style is enjoyable as a couple, family, or group. Seating inside is plentiful, and you can eat outside too. It is covered and has air flow.

I visit frequently! It's my favorite spot for a taco and a beverage! I had a watermelon margarita and the tipsy chick! I'm so happy! 😊

Visted while in Texas and this place is Damn Good! All the food, taco's and steak quesadilla was soooo good. The decor is very cheerful and bright. They serve alcohol too. Best tacos I ever had.

This is a great place for Adults and kids. They have an awesome bar with 15 beers on tap and hard liquor. Music was great not to loud they have outdoor seating as well.

Visiting the Austin area from NJ and had to visit a Torchy's before we return home tomorrow. Several friends told us it was a must to try while here. They weren't wrong. We stopped in for a late dinner tonight and were blown away by the food, service and price. The tacos were some of the best we've ever had. 3 tacos, queso, salsa & chips was about $31.00. We sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender Josey. Her service was perfect as was our conversation. You folks need to open locations in NJ!!

Sat at the bar per usual.. I think bartender warmed up to us later on because she came across unfriendly at first.. lol.. she did check on us from time to time, so that was good.. considering we were only there for queso and a drink.. bf did join us and 3 tacos later... 😋

Just off the highway and easy in and out. Walk in and order then they deliver to your table. We wanted draft beer and didn’t know what was on tap so just ordered tacos at the counter then sat at the bar. We waited for a while to order but no one at the bar. We asked someone then someone came out. We got our beers with our tacos. Love the set up and atmosphere. Lots of taco choices. The place felt a bit dirty and a little more attention to detail would be good. Lots of crumbs on the seats and tables a bit sticky. Even still we will be back.

First time to this location, very nice. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Stopped in for lunch.

Still the best queso in and around town! Torchys is generally on my visit list whenever I'm in Austin. I know it's a chain kinda place, but their food is fresh and delicious. It's hard to pick a favorite taco! My husband and I usually mix it up with the exception of a fan favorite with us -Mr. Orange. You won't be sorry with any menu item.

Celebrated a loan forgiveness letter here at my neighborhood Torchy's Tacos the other day. I ordered their taco of the month, one with salmon. This taco was a delightful combination of fresh and vibrant flavors. The soft corn tortilla had a great texture, and the pickled onions added a nice tang, easily my favorite part of the toppings. The salmon was well-seasoned and paired perfectly with the creamy avocado slice. A well-balanced and satisfying taco! I love how each Torchy's has a unique decorative theme, but doesn't fall under the category of cluttered.

I don't usually write reviews but the customer service and food is top tier!!! Thank you for being so sweet Selena :) velvet cake hit the spot.

Our first visit here and loved it. The staff member assisting us at the counter was very helpful and patient with us. We sat inside, which was nice. We checked out the outdoor area when leaving, and would love to try that next time or sitting at the bar. We had a house rocks margarita & the sucker punch. Both great. We shared a 1/2 queso with chips, which was really tasty. I has the Tipsy Chick taco , which was amazing. When I topped with the bacon jam, it was heaven. My husband had the chicken fajita taco and loved it. Tacos are a good size, so with the queso, we were both full. Can't wait to return. Until then, I'll be dreaming about the Tipsy Chick. Try it out -- you won't regret it!

You cannot go wrong with Torchy's and this location proved it once again. Had family in town visiting Austin for the very first time so had to take them to Torchy's. Loved the Baja Shrimp, Ace of Spades, Fried Avocada and Brush fire. This location has a full bar so on a hot summer day, nothing can beat tasty tacos and a chilled Margarita. Service was quick.

Torchy's is always a delight and a no-brainer when I need a good taco fix. Staff member who took our order was so patient. She answered all the questions my friends, who follow vegan diet, had and ensured their order was customized to their needs. Food came to our table quickly, accurately and was delicious. Tacos and queso were 5/5 while street corn was 3.5/5 (solely coz they could have easily added a little more of sauce and cheese to it, to create a good balance. I usually never had this complaint before though.) This location has good sized parking lot. I didn't notice patio seating. The area around could use some bright lighting around. It's felt like this location is tucked away and can easily go unnoticed.

The tacos are always a hit! I don't think I have ever tried something I have disliked here. The democrat is one of my favorite tacos. The food usually comes out pretty quickly as well which is nice. There is plenty of seating and I have always been able to find a table.

Enjoyed my first experience at Torchy's Tacos. I got the naughty Santa (seasonal taco) and the beef fajita. Both were good, I probably would try others before I get the beef fajita again, the meat was really chewy and not the best beef. Was really confused about the sauces provided, they weren't labeled so we didn't know which one went with each taco. They can improve in that. The hillbilly queso was the star of the night! So good and would go just got that! Service was good for our first time going. We picked up so didn't eat in but the ambiance seemed okay. More causal than I thought.

This place is a 5/5 if you go corn tortillas around the board with your tacos. Don't even bother with the bowl or flour in my opinion. They make the corn tortillas in house and they might be the best I've had in the states. They load the meat, and theres so much tenderness and flavor. Steak fajita and the diplomat hit the spot. The fried avocado bowl was okay, but not gonna knock em down to a 4 with that cause I'm sure it woulda been bomb in a corn tortilla. I like a good Arnold palmer with my lunch and they had 4 fresh lemonades on tap so that was a huge plus. Food came out incredibly quick too for our party of 8, and it was pretty busy during lunch. At this place you order and pay at the cashier when you arrive. Queso dip was delicious, came with a huge pile of chips, and perfect for table sharing. They also have some great happy hour prices. I'll definitely be back for some tacos and a margarita next time I'm in town.

Of all the Torchy'Torchy's that have been to, this one has the best service. I've never been there in received bad service. BBartenders are usually on it. Food is great.

I haven't been to Torchy's for a while. But this location was really good especially the republican taco! It was packed with many different flavors that were really great together! The staff were also very friendly! I will be back to try the other tacos. Great job!

Came here for a quick bite after golfing and it definitely did the trick. If you're looking for a good taco or salad with quick service I'd highly recommend. It's a casual spot, the food is good but average. Would suggest to stop by if you want something quick but wouldn't go out of my way to try!

I have been a Torchy's fan for 5 years now. Their Diablo sauce and fried avocado taco brings me back here every time. Taking a star off, as they have increased the prices significantly recently and also stopped serving taco with two corn tortillas. Now every taco comes with a single tortilla. I personally like this place because of the huge pet friendly outdoor area.

Torchies always comes in strong when I'm having a craving for a good fried avocado! I've been coming here for years and I absolutely love their fried avocado & I highly recommend you requesting a fried avocado substitution in the brush fire if you haven't tried that before. Normally the brush fire comes with chicken but being vegetarian this is a great option you should check out. I also highly recommend the queso, it is velvety smooth! The spoon of guac in it adds a lot to the queso. Service was really fast! The tacos were brought up to us within 5-10 mins of ordering! Flavor did not disappoint. If you love spicy food definitely ask for the Diablo sauce on the side! It's very good. The place is normally busy so expect slight delays in food during peak hours! The joint has a hipster vibe with lots of Red Devils creatively placed.

I loved this location. We walked in on our way to a UT McCombs event. The people were super friendly. We ordered the Baja shrimp taco and Tipsy Chick. The Baja Shrimp was fantastic. With the lime squeezed over the taco, the savory, perfectly prepared shrimp, sauce and tortilla were a beautiful explosion of flavors. We ordered queso also. It was hardy and flavorful. We probably won't have the Tipsy Chick again. It was okay, but there are better options. This will be one of our stops when we head down to Austin. So much fun and delicious!

So glad we can eat inside again! Best Queso on the planet! Still would love a nacho option though!!! My favorite is the green chili pork in a bowl with lettuce added. The breakfast tacos are awesome too - of course made trashy!!! Hubby's favorites are Baja Shrimp and Trailer Park. Funny thing is he used to only get the shrimp but because my son always ordered 2 trailer parks and could never eat both my hubby always got the extra taco. Now that the kid is in college he has to order his own. It's Tuesday and if you need a taco, swing by here for awesome food!!!

We are big Torchy's fans and this was our first time trying this location. The one closest to where we live usually leaves us disappointed and the design makes it feel like a strip mall (which it is but that is besides the point). This Torchy's is big with lots of seating and even a large patio. Our food was great. I nearly always get the Baja shrimp and then try something new with my second taco. We also got the queso (hillbilly style is the best). Also a good place to bring kids. There were multiple families there and plenty of high chairs.

Mice deco, able to walk right in. Service attentive and quick. They have able staff who serve to please. Like items on the menu. The food was average but good enough for me. Like the prices. I would go again. I hope they stay open.

We have been regulars at this location since it's opened up. It seems the customer service at the bar area has really gone down. We were there two weeks ago during happy hour. The four of us ordered one round at happy hour and then 10 minutes before happy hour ended, ordered another round. When we got the bill, it had not been rung in during the happy hour time, and when we asked the lady at the bar about it, she just said, "well there's nothing I can do about it." and walked off. That is never the answer that you should give a customer. Needless to say, if we do go back, we won't be sitting at the bar.

I had an amazing lunch that included Green Chile Queso, Tipsy Chick Taco and a new taco called Bad Santa. I couldn't stop eating the Queso but it was yummy with the creamy avocados in it. The Tipsy Chick was moist and flavorful. Now my favorite was the Bad Santa I love shrimp tacos and this was a 10!

They must have heard my feedback (on the stingy amount of queso this location provided) because today the queso portion was perfect. The queso was also not as runny today but was thick and flavorful. Thank you, Torchy's. Please keep it up!

Torchy's for the win today! I was headed down towards Austin for a Sam's Club run & decided to include a Torchy's stop on my agenda. I really like the vibe at this location & they have a cool outdoor patio too. I ordered the Trailer park taco Trashy style & the Tokyo Drifter which was the Taco of the month. Both were great! I especially liked the Tokyo drifter. It's Asian inspired with pork, slaw & crispy wonton strips. Good, fast service & smiles all around as usual!

We had a pick up group service order for a party. Everything was included and the portions were ample and very good. It was all good, as typical Torchy's.

Since this company seems to be successful despite very fundamental customer service flaws let me help education them (and you) on what to expect: 1). When you fall short of your customer service accuracy - don't blame your business partners. Own it. Don't finger point at who you choose who to do business with and then drag your customer into a negative experience and wash your hands of the matter. 2). I hardly think I'm the first person who has had items missing from a delivery. So it's frustrating to be told that I have to deal with DoorDash for a refund when the Torchy's website is the sole tool I used to place my order. Ironically I was told by DoorDash that they couldn't refund my money because I sent my money to you and therefore I needed to contact you. See any problem here? Our birthday dinner was ruined while I tried to resolve the situation. After calling the I-35/Round Rock store twice I was told I could come drive to it to get my missing items which I found less than reasonable since by the time I could get there (after dealing with this for 25 minutes) the store would be closed. At this point I'm left holding the bag on a negative experience created by you. There will not be any more Torchy's or DoorDash in my future. And to think I paid for this! But then again barely pulling a 3-star rating is pretty indicative of prevalent issues.

When I arrived at this restaurant I found that they were closing in 30 minutes. The cashier said I would have to order the food to go, but I could still eat it here because they didn't want to put more work on the dishwasher. The dishwasher? What I ordered would only have been a plastic basket and a bowl. When I got my order I sat at the counter, there were so much waste of paper and plastic just to save the dishwasher from extra work. There isn't any more common sense in this world! Otherwise the service and the food here is awesome. I gave it a four-star instead of a five star because of having to order it to go.

Probably the BEST queso I've ever had! Maybe not to many people but I truly love it! I remember having it a couple years ago with my weightlifting team in a different area in Austin and it was just SO. GOOD! Now that I'm back this time with my little fam, definitely had to have it again plus more! This time we got their little $25 deal which includes a protein of choice and we got their green chili pork, tortillas of choice, cheese, limes, rice and beans. I added their street corn and a shrimp taco to that order cuz, well it's freaking amazing!! We'll be back torchy's!!! At least before we leave back home!

Good tacos (even though they're overpriced, small, and never the same serving size) and good queso. Horrible customer service. One day, when all the customers stop coming in, maybe they'll realize what it was all about. If you refuse to take phone orders when your app is down and not working, you don't know a thing about it. The only thing I can think of is that the management knows how totally incompetent their employees are and don't trust them to get the orders right, which is proven true time and time again. It's rare for them to get even the simplest orders correct! I've reached out, called, written letters, etc. only to be ignored. They don't care, just keep spending money on their overpriced food and little devil shirts. One of these days, I hope they see the light and appreciate customers.

When I reached here, there were people lined up at one counter as it was the only counter that was open. Me and many people behind me stood in line and then after a while, manager said it was a Take out line and he opened another counter where I placed the order. I ordered 2 Tacos and 1 burrito. Tacos were really good. I tasted fried avacado taco and it was surprisingly super cool. But the burrito was nothing but tortilla itself. I was getting huge chunks of tortilla in every bite. Ambience and restaurant design is good.

I came in with my wife, we sat down at the bar. Although it was our first visit here at Torchy's, the bartender walks over and says, "Welcome back! What can I get you to drink?" My wife looks at me all puzzled-like and questions, "Who else have you been in here with?!" The answer is no one. I honestly have no idea why the bartender said that. Now my wife thinks I've been here without her, and with some other woman that looks like her! Great. This place IS THE DEVIL! Actually, this is the third restaurant I've been to in this exact same building. The other two restaurant's both went out of business shortly after they opened. Both of those places were mediocre at best. However, I think Torchy's Tacos might have some staying power, but who knows, right? They didn't have to-go boxes when we asked for them. That's not a good sign. I guess only time will tell if this Torchy's sticks around here or not. If they do, I'll probably be back. The tacos were okay, the beer was cold, and they have excellent outside seating.

Today I came in for a to-go order for breakfast. I ordered the following: Fajita Taco The fajita meat for the taco was tough but flavorful. The other facets of the taco were fine but the meat was to be the star. Accordingly, the taco missed the mark a bit. Fajita Burrito The fajita meat on the burrito was also tough. Hence the taco sentiment also applies to the burrito.

Literally my favorite Taco place in all of Texas. I never leave without visiting a Torchys. Every Taco I've ever had has been fantastic. I make it a point to try something new every time I go. So far I have not been disappointed. Torchys is fun and trendy. If you go to TX or any place that has a Torchys be sure to go. You will be glad you did.

Any time I can stop by at torchy's for lunch I do it. Are used to love their shrimp tacos but I would get indigestion afterwards. I've switched over to the Mr. orange since it suits my sensitive tummy better. I always go for the queso. It is spot on some of the best I've ever had and it's vegan which is rare for a vegan queso to taste as good. As a pescatarian, I only eat seafood so it's great that they have multiple options. They're always quick in and out as well so I never have to wait around for my torches fix.

I love Torchys and I don't know what happened this time with my order. I ordered three Fried Avacado tacos to go and was happy they were actually ready on time! Then I got home and found they had read NO Lettuce or Pico and thought that NO actually meant extra, making my $16 order inedible. I don't normally go to this Torchys, and I will be hesitant to do it again if they can't follow simple directions. I would think it would be easier not to add things. I guess my break is going to be spent taking three tacos completely apart to try and salvage what I can from them.

We come here most Sundays and today i am here now My husband ordered a beer never got it- he went to the bar to get it. I wanted the cinamon dessert and you were out of them. Loved my beef fajita taco trashed but my husbands order was not suppose to be trashed and it was trashed both of them

So new torchys! Im a regular at the location on 79 and I decided to pop in. The location is sooo big and i think that it will definitely get lots of traction! The food is always great! The service was pretty good( service is the reason i sit in rather than carry out) It will probably become at after work spot!

Torchys is a local icon, this we all know. So I have been away for a year, and we decided to see if they are still as good as they were before they started expanding like crazy. Well... They still earn a 5 star rating. It is undeniable! Of course we started with the queso, also the Trailer Park, The Rosco, and a couple of the Shrimp tacos. Every single dish was sooooo gooooood! In your search to find something new and different, don't forget the quality, consistency, and flavor of what Torchys brings to the table every day!

While I had horrible experiences at most torchys this one was in the better side! The place was clean and not overly loud. We went for breakfast and it was decently good. My issue here is staff, the kid taking our order looked like he hated life and had zero personality. It's not hard to be a little nice and pretend to like your job. He didn't make us feel welcomed but that we were an inconvenience. Overall we ignored his rudeness and enjoyed our tacos!

Came in Saturday 7/8 around 7pm Sat at the bar. Within minutes the bar was full Only one bartender. She had no help dealing with unsatisfied customers. 4 tacos took about an hour. Tacos were good though. Because it is closer to where I live I've been to this location in Round Rock before at different days, and the experience has been about the same. This is a management issue. Management at this place is really subpar.

I've ate at the round rock location before and really felt like trying something else so went with door dash this time. -Am really disappointed I ordered a steak burrito and all I have to say the steak was chewy and I mean so chewy I basically threw out my burrito. Am no fan of chewy meat especially steak like common how can you screw that up. - I did however enjoy their Queso it was delicious I think I finished the whole thing with the crunchy nachos My kids enjoyed their food had a basic bean and cheese taco - I think the food needs a huge improvement especially the meat part while am not putting business down I will give them another shot maybe go for their tacos. As am typing away I keep thinking how long they were closed down due to covid. So please keep ordering I probably ordered on a bad day lmao keep supporting our local restaurants

Service was really frustrating. I ordered from the wrong location (totally by my own fault). I couldn't get a hold of the other location so I asked this location to notify them and cancel or transfer the order. They said that would be no problem. They duplicated the order and charged me, but then said they didn't know how to contact the other location.

This location is my go to Torchy's in Round Rock. Bree the manager is awesome! We usually eat there or take out just about every Sunday. My favorite is the Chicken Fajita (No Cheese) on corn tortilla.

Curbside pickup. Yummy Torchy's food. Of course, their delicious Mexican fast food. Guacamole is outstanding - no tomatoes! Love it. It's spicy and good. As close to my homemade as it gets. Green Chile queso is by far my favorite queso in the fast food genre. Their tacos are, as they say, "damn good tacos" Easy ordering. Text when you get there for curbside pickup. Easy peasy.

My to go place for Tacos. Love their brushfire chicken tacos also best queso ever with chips and dips. Sometimes it's very busy so plan ahead and if possible place an order ahead. They stopped taking orders over phone for Togo and now have an app which add $5 service fee which is too much.

Was hesitant to come meet friends for dinner here as the torchys by my house is AWFUL. This one was a lot less crowded and had plenty of seating. The corn tortillas here are levels above the ones by me! Such a great surprise. Always get hillbilly queso and ask for the spiciest salsa in it.

Love this trendy restaurant Only place you can get these one of a kind crafted tacos I love the Republican with the chips & queso ! Make sure you can say that 'You have been to Torchys!' And get the T shirt too!! Recommend for one of a kind tacos & experience

This was conveniently next to our hotel so I stopped in for a few quick breakfast tacos for the kids. It was nearly empty inside and I placed my order. I waited over 30 minutes for 6 tacos, and watched people get their food who came in after me. I asked 3 different people where my order was and I never saw any of those people return with an answer. Finally someone came out with my order. When opening the tacos they were folded wrong with only 1/3 of the tortilla folded over, and melted cheese was everywhere. How do you mis-fold a taco? They tasted great but I wouldn't recommend coming to this location, especially if you're in a hurry.
