Wanted to try some good tacos, hands down Torchy’s delivered. Fresh, delicious! I tried the Swinger taco, it’s a limited time one, with Al pastor, pineapple, cilantro, and avocado sauce, tasted fresh and the flavors complimented each other well. The queso was also delicious however it came out a little cold, but they had only been open for an hour, so no judgement there (: it was still yummy!

I’d never heard about Torchy’s until a super cute employee I know told me I should come in while she was working and give them a try. Who knew teenagers know good food We ventured in on a Sunday afternoon and found ourselves pleasantly surprised with an abundance of options. It never crossed my mind that a place could offer so many different taco selections I’m greedy so I ordered 3 different kinds of tacos along with a breakfast burrito Jamaican taco Shrimp taco Chicken taco Each taco was absolutely delicious but the jerk chicken taco quickly became my favorite ❤️ A friend got the fajitas and when I move his plate to grab a picture you would have thought I committed a crime Yes, they were so good he barely allowed me to take a picture They now have a new happy hour Let’s just say I’m looking forward to eating my way through this menu

Average at best food. Service was standard the restaurant had a cool vibe. Would not come back but was not bad. It was MID.

Had never been before, decided to stop in and give it a try and it did not disappoint. Some really good tacos, my son even commented that one may have been the best he has ever had. Will definitely stop by again when in the area!

Service was excellent food was excellent, the cashier Ervin is amazing very helpful as me and my family are first time customers. Very clean staffing all around are nice. Ps. The Naughty Santa taco was from their secret menu and the church's were very tasty

Great little spot! The tacos were delicious, as were the tots. Everyone who worked there was very helpful and friendly. They have a full bar, as well as cheap beer/drink specials. Each taco was about $6-$7 and everything was a la carte, so it adds up quick, but it’s worth the money in my opinion. Everything was neat and clean. Can’t wait to go back.

It seems that every visit to this establishment leaves me feeling let down. My son likes the food for some reason so we stop by from time to time but never again. Just yesterday, I placed an order through their mobile app and encountered several issues. To begin with, I ordered the trailer park taco with two items, one being lettuce, yet they only included one—completely forgetting the other. I also tried the new swinger taco; while the flavor was promising, I had to spit out half of it because it was simply inedible. There's no justification for this, especially when I'm paying $5-$6 for a taco—at that price, I expect everything to be edible. The main issue here appears to be the use of subpar meats, which is evident in the quality. Instead, they charge premium prices for tacos filled with nothing but fat and gristle. If you're seeking quality, I would recommend steering clear of this place.

FIRST TIME IN GREAT SPOT! All three tacos were 10/10 including my favorite the BRUSHFIRE TACO! The bartender Avery had a great attitude and great service! Also the CHURROS mmmm yummmy ! Will Definitely be visiting more

Since this was my first visit to Torchy's Tacos, I was excited to review the menu options and make my selection. Atmosphere: extremely clean at this location and the woman behind the counter was very helpful in placing my order. Note: they have kiosk that you can order yourself as well. Service: when you order at the counter you select your seat and they bring your food to you. It was prompt and orderly. The server was very polite. Food: what can I say? I love tacos! This did not disappoint. I loved the fresh corn and spinach added to the grilled chicken taco. It was spicy but not overly hot. Although, If that is your preference, they have plenty of options! The chips and salsa were fresh and the chips came out hot! Added bonus! Overall- the vibe was laid back and a great spot to grab lunch or anytime!

What a great time at Torchys last night! We walked in to a clean establishment and was greeted by a friendly guy at the register. We asked for suggestions since it was our first time in and he was really honest about getting the best bang for your buck with some of the options. I got the Mexican candy marg with the tajin rim and it was so flavorful and refreshing. Definitely a favorite and would go back just for the drink lol! we go churros which came super fast and we should have waited to order them but oh well they were crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. For dinner I got the republican with no relish or cilantro and it was so good! The meat was juicy and lean and the sauces and crispy onions really enhanced the bite. My hubby got the wrangler (which I tried) and it was just perfect. It's great that you can get a breakfast taco all day, definitely will be my go to next time. He also got the hog father and it was good but he didn't care for the Diablo sauce and we appreciate they put it on the side giving you sauce control. And lastly the trailer park which was a fried chicken taco which was good but he said the flavor combo wasn't for him. Overall we really enjoyed hanging out and enjoying our food for a Friday night. Everyone there working was nice and we're looking forward to coming back!

Torchy's Tacos is consistently yummy with great customer service! Consistency matters! After a long day at work it's nice to know I can stop and grab dinner on the way home and know it will be yummy! The ingredients are always fresh! If you want a place you know will satisfy your taste buds stop by Torchy's Tacos! Thank you again!

Ordered delivery & so still SO SO GOOD! The street corn, the threesome, the green chile pork & the democrat all impressed! Loved all the salsa options too. We'll def be stopping in for a fresh order soon.

Happy to see this place close to home. I had only had Torchy's one time before this, and thought it was just ok. I decided to come to this one since its right down the street from my house. I liked some things, and didn't like others. Here is the breakdown............... Liked - INCREDIBLE queso. I really mean that. Their queso is possibly the best "dip" I have ever had. Sign up for their club on the app, and you get a free order of it with chips. Score! This stuff is so good! Its cheesy, spicy, rich, flavorful. By far the best thing here. - Steak Fajita Taco- Very tasty! Good meat, a tad chewy, but the marinade/flavor they use for the meat is top notch! I got sour cream with mine and it was a good addition. Didn't Like - Man...it was hot as hell in there both times I've gone, and that has only been for pickup to go. I don't know if I could sit there and eat with how hot it was inside. - Tacos are pricey! $6.00 IMO is a bit steep for a taco. You get 2 tacos and an order of chips and queso, and you are at $25.00 almost, without a drink. Meh. Service was friendly both times I went in. I will be back specifically for the queso. That stuff is like crack. You can get a side order without chips (their chips are great too, I just had chips at home) and its right around $7.00. I will get this often! Even my kids who hate spicy things kept dipping in for more. Its that addictive! Love that stuff!

First time here - and was pleasantly surprised. The gal at the register suggested the chicken fajita taco and it was really yummy. As you can see I took a bite before I could take the photo. The beans are delish!! The chips were perfect! Love the decor - lots of great options and the prices are super reasonable. If my husband wasn't there I would've bought a hat - they have really fun merch but my husband says I have way too many ball caps We will be back. Looking forward to trying other options

We stopped in on Quattro be Mayo for some tacos and margaritas. My beautiful bride and I sat at the bar. Taylor, our bartender, gave us spectacular service! On to the reason we were here, tacos. Since we signed up for the Torchy Club (or whatever they call it) we got a free Green Chili Queso appetizer. Now I am not a huge queso fan but we both agreed this was probably the best we've ever tasted. For tacos, my wife ordered a Grilled Baja Shrimp and a Democrat, I ordered a Green Chili Pork and a Brushfire. Of the four, we both agreed the Green Chili Pork and the Baja Shrimp were the standouts. Don't get me wrong, they all were good. They have a great Happy Hour on weekdays, and a decent bar. We definitely plan to return soon. Pro tip: A seat at the bar gets you full service. P.S. The rocks margaritas are delicious.

I had never heard of a Torchy's Tacos before but I love any kind of tacos so I was definitely interested. I also love some breakfast tacos which they offered so after a bit of time from their opening I stopped in. Saturday morning at around 9:30 and the shopping center right there is busy (I can't imagine when target opens up) but there wasn't anyone in line so I went straight on in and was ready to order. Having scoped out the menu I knew exactly what I wanted to try. Guy at the register was friendly enough and I placed my to-go order. (There were also kiosks in the front if you want to avoid any possible lines, I guess). This visit my order consisted of the Wrangler, the Ranch Hand and the Crispy Potato. I ordered them all with corn tortillas cause I just can't do flour tacos (blehh). The guy gave me a pager and said someone would bring out my food shortly. Maybe wait 7 - 10 mins? Not long, enough time to scope out the place and see items brought out to other tables. Quite a few people ordering the chips with some cheese dips so early in the morning (my kind of people!!). Finally a nice employee brought out my bag of tacos and I was on my way home. First off, they were nicely filled tacos. I will say right off that my favorite was the Wrangler, the brisket was sooo good!! They were not skimpy with the brisket. I also love the tomatillo salsa, it's not spicy (unfortunately) but it does have a great flavor to it. Second favorite was the potato taco. I love the crispy potato and the tomatillo salsa with it. My least favorite was the Ranch Hand (steak) taco. This one was the least filling as far as the steak goes. Plus the steak was a bit chewy. I don't care for the diablo sauce but that's just my preference. For a first visit, I'd definitely say it was a success. I will be back to try their chips and cheese and a few more of their tacos along with another order of the Wrangler. I will also have to grab a to-go margarita!

I heard great things about Torchy's Tacos and was excited to finally try it, but unfortunately the experience didn't live up to the hype. What was delivered looked nothing like the photos online. It was extremely small and consisted of what seemed like a single chicken fry with a little bit of green chiles and cheese on top. For how much it costs, the portion and presentation were pretty ridiculous and disappointing.

Great service by all the staff. It was a little loud for my liking but you can still hold a conversation. The flavors for a few of their items were really quite good! But some missed the mark. The chicken fajita and steak fajita were surprises. The chicken and steak were both very well seasoned and had great flavor. The tacos were packed with veggies which I enjoyed. The brushfire had a nice combination of flavor and was a favorite. As was the scallywag was soooo close to be amazing. I loved the flavors and the pickled onion, as well as the jam, but the breading on the shrimp was sliding off which turned quite a few bits mushy. The Baja shrimp taco was okay, wasn't a fan of the sauces/salsa that came with it. The peanut butter recees cookie was fantastic. The green chile queso was disappointing, lacking green chile flavor. The fried avacado taco fell short, and was mushy. The green chile taco was also lacking texture and just fell really short of flavor. Would I go out of my way to come here, no, but they are close so I will definitely be back to try some other items.

The service was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed the salmon tacos, avocado dip and chips, and the beans and rice. The chips had a nice amount of salt on them which we enjoyed. The Torchy's lemonade was different but very good, as it wasn't as sweet as most lemonades. They have a very nice outdoor patio, more than just throwing out some tables and chairs in front. We brought our pup with us which made it that much more appealing. We'll be back to try other taco offerings.

The ingredients make the meal but the chicken bowl was just ok for me. Chicken was a little salty and the lime rice lacked the lime taste a bit. Service was good, ambiance was an eye catcher too. They accept cash and debit cards

Went to Torchy's today for an early dinner with my granddaughters. They ordered bean/cheese tacos, I ordered the "Democrat" taco and and order of queso and chips for us to share while waiting on our food. We received the queso and chips with our dinner, queso was mostly green chiles. My taco was ice cold. Not even luke warm. My granddaughters bean and cheese tacos had a teaspoon of beans and a few shredded cheese pieces, their food cold also. We were in a hurry so we threw our food away and left. Torchy's! What's up with this?? Total dissapointment and a waste of $. Please do better!

Tacos had good flavor and the portion size was generous. I did notice the taco bowls didn't come with rice. They had a self serve kiosk. I always wondered what kind of tip they should get when we put in our food order and clear our tables when done. They do bring out the food but after that we never see anyone again. The restroom was very clean. We did stop by shortly after lunch rush.

First time trying this place. We walked in and the atmosphere seemed pretty cool. Relaxed I guess. Sat at the bar. The bartender greeted us right away but after that she was horrible. Had to refill our own water (after waiting for her to help). A nice couple sat next to us and waited over 20 minutes to even be acknowledged. There were only 6 people at the bar. Our queso came out cold and the gentleman who brought it immediately apologized and brought us another one. He was great! The bartender never checked on us. Only when we were done eating did she even ask if I wanted another beer. Never asked how we liked the food, nothing at all. The tacos were ok. Definitely not worth the price. Would not be sad if I didn't eat there again.

Delicious taco fusion variations. I had the Republican beef taco, which was bbq brisket with bbq sauce, corn, and French fried onions. Friendly wait staff. We sat outside in November and the speakers were blaring with loud music. My great aunt asked the bartender to turn the music down, which he did, and then he checked on us to see if the improvement was better.

Good food, but PRICEY for tacos. I enjoyed my experience, the restaurant is brand new. You can either get full service at the bar or quick casual in the dining room. They give a menu on the board or can grab a paper menu. Ordering was quick and efficient. I ordered a taco and burrito, my son ordered 2 tacos, we both got a drink and queso and the bill was over 60$ each tacos is between 5-7$ the burrito is 8$ the burrito is twice the size of a taco, at a dollar more. The food was good, I would recommend if you like beans on your food to get them on the side and apply.small amounts as though the beans are good, they overpower a lot of the flavor of the rest of the food. The staff was kind and friendly, they had someone cleaning the restaurant consistently and keeping the tables in order, which was nice to see. They were out of forks and said they wouldn't have any for another day or so, which I found odd given they are across the street from costco, who sells forks in bulk, but that is their business decision to not have forks. Ultimately, I enjoyed the food, I would maybe eat here again, but the price is so high that I wouldn't come frequently. They are a more bougie taco spot vs a traditional taco spot, so if you are looking for some upscale tacos, then this is a good place to try, if you want some more authentic fair that is way cheaper, then you don't need to search too far from here. Eitherway, I will be back to try other items.

Torchy's in so glad you're in Surprise! I love this place ! I originally had them in Austin and then was so happy to see them on Camelback Rd and now closer in Surprise. I like everything here but today I ordered the Migas taco and the breakfast burrito it was delicious !

Can't believe this is $6. Size of a street taco. Still starving. Taste was ok, but I'd need 4 of these which is very pricey.

Second visit to Torchy's on Waddell Rd. The food is always good and the service is excellent! I think my favorite part of Torchy's is the flavor of the food. It's just not a generic Mexican restaurant with the usual sauces and spices. They do a great job with the flavors! The indoor and outdoor seating is nice and clean. Also, no matter how busy they are, I don't feel it's too loud to have conversations. I did take one star off for food portions in relation to value. Some menu items are over priced for their portion size.

Service hood and friendly. Ordered four different Tacos and they were okay and would go back in a pinch! It's a bit of a drive from the house, but would I go back; maybe! It wasn't bad just to over the top , it sounds cute but not into the eclectic taste blend.

The Republican taco and other food was amazing. The customer service was just as good.

I've been to A LOT of taco spots in my life, and they're all between fine and good. So when a friend suggested we go here and that I would love it, I thought "sure, you can't really mess up a taco. Why not". I was very pleasantly surprised! I got 3 tacos ( do t remember the names but they all had avocado which is necessary for me to "love" something) queso, and the elote. All were amazing. Everything was super flavorful, when something was labeled as "spicy" it actually was and the food stuck out to me enough to remember it and want it again. Delicious and I would recommend to anyone who's bored of the same old tacos from every where else.

Brand new taco joint from Texas! Great tasting tacos, especially like any of the breakfast tacos. Service is very fast for a taco made from scratch. Both corn and flour tortillas are available for all tacos. Has at least three TVs in the bar area for sports. And also has one of the best bartenders I've seen in the west valley, Allie. She was friendly, engaging and service was spot on. Will be going back soon.

I loved the devil-themed ambiance. It is tidy, clean and has some fiery personality. It lets me know the service and the food will be great. The service was friendly and the employee (didn't know his name) toke our table's trash. He was professional and felt positive energy. The Baja Shrimp I received is delicious! The shrimp was nice and succulent. The shrimp is so savory and goes so nicely with the queso and lime. The experience with the food is excellent and would highly recommend this to shrimp lovers.

Catchy name and ambience but Tacos were just ok. Had the Republican and green chili pork. They were unique but definitely lacked ingredients based on the pictures and for 5-6 bucks each, not sure I will return. Kinda on the same level as other chain taco joints.

The food and the service. The tacos had a few pieces of meat and the people that came in 10 mins after I did got their order first.

Man oh man was it busy today when we walked in. I loved that with the opening this week they had beautiful live music playing on the patio and many employees there welcoming us and such. The location is really good size. When you walk in you have the option to either order at a self help kiosk or the counter where there were two employees there to help. I had never been to a Torchy's before so I was a bit overwhelmed with the menu and felt a bit rushed to order since there was a line forming. I settled on the Tralee Park Taco and a crossroads taco. My husband had the steak fajita and a brushfire. We also ordered a half order of the green chili queso and chips to share. I opted to try their small wildberry margarita as well. I was surprised to see a bar inside as well. That's awesome of you wanted to come have a few drinks and appetizers. There are TVs to watch as well. Service was great. We were given a number plate and everything was brought out to us. The bartender brought over my drink and let me know if I liked another I could order it with her directly at the bar. The food was great. I loved the trailer park taco so much. It was juicy yet crispy on the outside. It had a good spicy kick and I left happy. My margarita was made well and flavor on point. I can't wait to come back again. I'm already dreaming of that dang taco. Yum!

Very easy to order. Very pleasant workers. It's only been 40 minutes and we still haven't received our food. Two tacos and a salad? Beverage machine out of ice and they wonder around looking for your pager on the table to see if they are carrying your order. Very disorganized and very disappointed for our first experience. Will not recommend to others .

The food is FABULOUS but it's so hot in here! We would have stayed for another margarita but it was uncomfortably hot inside for the Arizona heat. Crank that AC and I'll be back for more. Torchy's is one of my favorites, all the way from the first time I had it in Dallas, TX.

Half order was missing, went to pick it up aside from what was delivered. Torchys has really dropped the ball in regards to food quality and cleanliness. Foil wrappers are soiled externally with residue, chicken fajita burrito partially covered in oil, and was eating veggie burrito and felt something hard-- ended up being a pebble in the food! Will be speaking to corporate about this location. Terrible experience.

What a fun looking place. Customer service was awesome. 5 stars. The location ambience is 5 stars. They have a kid's menu and a gluten-free one, just ask. Waited just over 30 minutes for 4 items to-go. Must be from made from scratch. I can't make tacos any faster front scratch. The world needs to learn patience and kindness so I will leave it at that. My husband usually eats in. Usually has his food in 5 minutes. Flavor for the meals today 5 star. Everyone was happy. No fat or grizzle as usual! Yum! Disappointment was the size of everything when you get it to-go. Everything was so much smaller as far as my husband's Tipsy Chick and Crossroads taking it home compared to eating in. The kids quesadilla looked more like a taco. Kids loved them, but still hungry so I will need to order more for them in the future. Much smaller than where we usually frequent. Off to the kitchen to cook more food.

The food, service and price is amazing. Been to this spot several times and it never disappoints. The restaurant is also very clean and comfortable .

Completely raw chicken in the center of the taco. Husband and my child spat it out and brought it to their attention. We were offered for a new one to be made but at that point we were just fully disgusted. Salmonella cautionary.

My best friend was raving about this place bc she loved it back in Texas. We sat at the bar and I had the best skinny marg ever:) the veggie tacos are delicious and surprisingly satisfying as a meat eater lol. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu

Food was ok. Got home and my husbands burrito was missing the steak. Really!!!!! Service at register with Ervin was fantastic and helped this first timer with good info on all dishes. Delivery person was not friendly at all when asked to explain which sauce was which in my to go order. Said he didn't have time to talk to me I should talk to manager. Asked him to get manager and he did not. Could not get another servers attention. Again Ervin came to my rescue and explained the sauces and got me my missing items. Better customer service from other employees would have rated a five star review.

Great prices, great food and AMAZING service. Kristin, the friendly Mgr. greated us. Ashley & Sincere provided outstanding service. Food was better than expected. Everything handcrafted, daily drink specials. There was 14 of us and we all loved our food. CHURROS are made in house in a buttermilk batter, fall-apart delicious!Highly recommended!

What a wonderful experience. Went in at 8pm on opening week & it was awesome. The food was good as well as the drinks. We ordered 2 baja shrimp tacos (one grilled and one fried), a fried avocado taco, & another one which I believe was a special (coconut shrimp taco). From the staff to the environment, everything was clean & quick. Will definitely be returning. New positive addition to Surprise!

10 stars if I could! The service is impeccable, the food is incredible and everything is reasonably priced! This is a dangerous place to have so close by cause I'm gonna be here weekly it's that good! An absolute must try, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Food came out cold. Not sure if I was at a sports bar or a taco restaurant. Music was too loud. Could have a conversation with the person I was with. Tables were gross with unattended used trays and cups.

My husband and I went for lunch. We ordered a beef burrito with a side and we ordered tractor juice. The food was excellent and the tractor juice was refreshing. My kids and grandchildren are coming next month. We will be back. The employees were great!

Okay, so the ordering is a bit slow and complicated when you first walk in... so walking up to the front to order with real humans is best IMO! They have been nice and patient as we look at the different options Torchy's offers. It's always been packed, pretty busy the times we've been in. It's an okay ambiance.. nothing too fancy or blah! It's cool. There's outside seating and I like that. Oh, there's a bar area and you can watch the games and funny videos they have playing while you eat and drink and hangout. So each time we've been... I've liked my tacos. The queso is really good and I can see why they promote that. I mean, you shouldn't get queso and chips wrong but you never know.. some people can jack up a good thing! Anyway, the food is a bit salty and on the expensive side! Come on Torchy's.. $6-$7 dollars for a taco?! Oooooo weeeee! Other than that, it's been nice having this place in Surprise! More options is great for the neighborhood!
