So, been to Toreados now 4 times. I think it's pretty good overall. The service has always been very good. The chips and salsa are very tasty. Today I had the chopped salad and the enchiladas. One thing I've noticed here the salads aren't all that great. Todays chopped salad was a lot of white lettuce, it said it would be iceberg lettuce but very little green, and it was very wilted. (see pics). It tasted good, I liked the dressing but this salad needs to be elevated a bit. The enchiladas were tasty and the refried beans weren't bad, even though I had asked for black beans. Dinner companion had the nachos that he said were ok. One thing others here have mentioned is the portions are on the small side, and I would have to agree. When your plate is close to $20 dollars you'd expect to get a nice amount, but this is Lake Oswego. Priced kind of high for what ya get.

It was our first time here and everything was fantastic. I had the queso mac and added veggies (fajita style veggies). It was so cheeey and creamy, and the veggies added a whole delicious dimension. The chips were salty and tasty, the salsa tangy. I also had the sangria which was AMAZING and refreshing. Service was great, all the servers were helping each other out. Lime juice for the margaritas is fresh squeezed!! Happy hour is 330-530.

Loved this tex-mex restaurant! The food was sooo good, service was friendly, and pricing was great. We sat outside on a perfect September evening! We’ll be back. Recommend: Quesadilla (with smoked chicken) Nachos (with brisket) Queso Mac n Cheese (sharable and so comforting with a touch of spice) Flight of Wings

The food was good and the service was fast. If you buy the Toreados (which are peppers the restaurant is named after) know that the green ones are spicier than the red ones. The servers were nice but they never brought the check and we had to ask for it.

Came close to closing but stayed way after that. They didn’t kick us out or rush the other patrons, which looked like almost the whole place. We went on a Saturday night around 830pm for a quick drink and ended up getting the frozen margaritas. It was delicious. The tequila flavor punches you in the face to those sensitive to it, but it’s quickly covered by the sweetness of the coconut and pineapple. We got the half and half (pictured) so it was a blend of the pineapple coconut as well as a strawberry or watermelon? Forgot the fruit flavor on the other end. I was expecting just in a normal glass like other frozen margarita spots, so I was extremely impressed by how it was dressed. If I were in the area, I’d 100% come back and try their food next time. Friendly bartenders and staff all around. It’s also tucked away in the corner with other spots like CVS, Grassa, Lardos with brand new apartment buildings sitting on top of them.

Happy hour is a must! Great drink prices and food portions, quick service and a great overall outdoor vibe on a warm day in the PNW. No complaints here :D

I recently had the pleasure of ordering takeout from Toreados Tequila Bar, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in to pick up my order, I could tell that this place would be perfect for a romantic date night. Let's start with the food. We decided to try their mac and cheese, and it was a culinary masterpiece! Toreados Tequila Bar took a classic dish and added their own unique twist, making it a standout. The combination of creamy cheese and perfectly cooked pasta was pure comfort, but the addition of unexpected ingredients elevated it to a whole new level. It was a refreshing and delicious take on mac and cheese that left me craving more. We also ordered the super spicy jalapeno poppers, and boy, did they deliver on the heat! These poppers were not for the faint of heart, but if you're a fan of fiery flavors, they are a must-try. The combination of the crispy exterior and the fiery jalapeno filling created an explosion of flavors that was both thrilling and satisfying. Moving on to the chicken salad, it was absolutely fantastic. The tender, juicy chicken paired perfectly with the fresh, crisp vegetables. The only downside was that the dressing was missing from the order, which was a slight disappointment. However, the quality of the salad itself was so good that it left me eager to return and give it another try, this time with the Caesar dressing. Now, let's talk about the ambiance. Walking into Toreados Tequila Bar, I was immediately struck by the great vibe. The warm and inviting atmosphere sets the perfect mood for a romantic evening. The dim lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful decor create an intimate setting that is perfect for a fun date night. Overall, my experience with Toreados Tequila Bar was fantastic. The innovative take on the mac and cheese, the spicy jalapeno poppers, and the outstanding chicken salad made for a memorable meal. Despite the missing dressing, the quality of the food still left me wanting to come back for more.

Google
Love it! Opening a new restaurant is never easy, but the food and drinks were DELICIOUS and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The happy hour menu is great, and while it seems a little limited, when you take into consideration all of the meat options for each item, you can easily get a great meal before 5pm. The drinks were super tasty and a lot of unique options. Highly recommend, and definitely kid friendly.

Yelp
Admittedly, I was skeptical about this place but honestly I had a very good meal, an amazing drink, and great service. This is never going to be an authentic Mexican restaurant, its definitely more Americanized, but that doesn't mean its a bad thing. I got a salad and added steak it was very flavorful and delicious. The drink had the perfect amount of kick & sweetness and the salsa was great. I also like they have the patio, it will be a great place to hang out in the spring/summer/early fall. Great little neighborhood watering hole...will be back.

Yelp
As I'm always on the hunt for some great Mexican food, I came up empty. The space is big and open, parking is easy, and it went downhill from there. Service was a mess, wrong items, wrong table. That's fine, I get it's a newer place. But let's get down to brass tacks. The food was really lousy. I hate to say that, as I give everyone a chance, but all of our items were over-salted, hard, crunchy rice, and other than the taste of salt, no flavor at all. The habanero salsa helped us shove down some chips, but the guac had raw, fibrous hunks you couldn't cut with a knife. I was surprised. Here are a couple photos, but try for yourself.

Yelp
This is a new Tex Mex restaurant in Lake Oswego. They are now open every day. There is lots of parking in the parking garage. It's a cute little space with a nice outdoor patio... A great place for some bites and drinks in the summer. We had a reservation, and I suggest one because the interior especially is not very big. They have a happy hour as well, and there were quite a few drinks on that menu, but not so much food. They smoke their meats, and I heard that brisket was amazing. Both my friend and I ordered the brisket fajitas which came with rice and a choice of beans. We chose black beans. We were served chips and salsa to start with. The chips were fresh and warm with just the right amount of salt. The salsa tasted like vinegar and neither of us liked it. :-) Our meals came out pretty quick, and there were three nice thick pieces of brisket over a bed of sautéed peppers and onions. It was served with street size tortillas. We chose corn tortillas. Instead of serving it with sour cream, they served it with some sort of Crema that tasted like vinegar. Didn't like it. We found out at the end of our meal that we could've had sour cream instead, but we were never asked. I asked for a small side of guacamole, and it was delicious. The brisket was absolutely amazing. It was so tender that it could be cut with a fork and there was a beautiful smoke ring around it. Delicious!! The sautéed onions and peppers were way over cooked which was too bad. They should've been al dente. The rice was just plain....It was not good. Rice is pretty easy to make tasty and this had no flavor. The black beans were just ok and had a bit of a vinegar. Taste to them as well. Not good. I'm not sure what's going on in this place with the vinegar... It's very strange to me. I have had text Maxon Mexican all over the United States because it's one of my favorites, and have never seen vinegar or used as much as it was here. I think this place needs to make some changes really fast with their menu items or they're not going to stay in business. On top of all this, the waiter we had would not leave us alone. He was overly eager to take our order, but yet never told us about the menu and the choices we had. He also was very quick to want to provide us with a check. Strange! The two stars is for the brisket it was the only good thing in our meals. The brisket fajitas were $29. I will try this place another time to see if it improves and I hope to update my review 5 stars at that time. Come on guys, I want to see you succeed... Why don't you put out a taste test with a panel of people you don't know so you get an honest opinion on the food. Just an idea. :-)

Yelp
Sorry to see Tasty leave this space, but Toreados is decent. It's a little bit modern presentation of Tex mex. I got: Margarita - very good Sampler platter - decent but guacamole is served cold and a little too much lime. Queso excellent Brisket taco - good Chicken taco - very good Beans and rice - so-so (a real ding for a Mexican restaurant) Servers were all nice. Food came out fast. Patio is pretty pleasant. Felt like the kitchen lacked just a little bit of authentic Mexican talent?, but everything's pretty close.

Karelly R.

Yelp
I'm from MX and have lived in TX before so maybe my expectations were a bit high. The rice has no 'Mexican' flavor. It is bland sadly. Same goes with a lot of the food. It's not bad food but it's like watered down mexican food. I think the restaurant is great and I'll def go again but if you're looking for legit Tex mex then I'd go elsewhere. Salsas are pretty bland too. There was no kick to them.

Yelp
We decided to check Toreados out for happy hour and we plan to go back again. The nachos with chicken on them were really good. The Mac & cheese with the queso was good. The brisket taco was amazing and loved the shrimp taco as well. The chips and salsa were really good. The guacamole wasn't the best as the avocados were not ripe and very hard. We will go back as I'm looking forward to the brisket taco.

Amanda R.

Yelp
First time here...Walked up on Monday night and the place looked closed due to the dark lighting. We sat in the bar area. The guacamole was not good, it was too cream -like almost like prepackaged. The music was good but too loud. I ordered the Caesar salad with shrimp which was so basic. I'd suggest the chef add seasoned pepitas and tortilla chips. The shrimp was flavorful and the portion was large but it was a underwhelming Caesar salad. Maybe I'll give the place another chance but I won't be going out of my way.

Yelp
This restaurant had my favorite nachos during nacho week! The best part is that they are on the regular menu. The peppers, onions, olives and queso were delicious. 10/10; I will be back just for the nachos.

Marianne V.

Yelp
Terrible experience. From the server standing near our table as we ate watching the game to the $26 charge for a 4 oz margarita. Margarita is $11 and add a $4 up charge for Cadillac. I asked for Cos Amigos tequila as a sub. Got the bill and was charged $22 for the margarita and an additional upcharge of $4. $26 for this margarita was a total surprise and a rip off! Anyway, staff was not receptive to questioning and quite rude. We won't go back. So many other great places in LO to go, this one was a thumbs down all around.

Dan M.

Yelp
YIPES. Second time to Toreados. It's regressed sadly. The chips were so over salted. The salsa was so sour we thought the tomatoes had gone bad, YIPES AGAIN. We won't be returning for a 3rd time, sad.

Jodi G.

Yelp
YUCK! I'm so sorry because I wanted this place to be my next favorite local Tex mex. I'm not a frequent reviewer so this might not even show up on reviews but o felt it necessary. The chips were ok. Could have been store bought. The salsa was so salty and runny boring it was embarrassing. We ordered guacamole as a side hoping it would be a better supplement....nope! Absolutely bland and nothing but store bought. We liked our server but felt unappreciated. When we walked in (it's the bar) nobody greeted us. We were seemingly a put off to have to be seated. I'll give this place 6 weeks before shut down. Seriously so sorry to post a bad review

Matt H.

Yelp
A fun little spot with great outdoor seating where you can bring your pooch along. The chips and salsa are spot on and the salads and brisket are delicious!

Valerie S.

Yelp
We went to Toreados Tequila Bar & Kitchen on Friday at around 4:00 pm. Probably will not be back. Had high hopes for a good Tex-Mex place but this fell short. Cons: * Loud - industrial type setting and loud music * Could not tell who worked there as there was no consistent attire * Too relaxed service - employees too busy chatting with each other and not the customers * Parking * Really expensive, very weak cocktails - mostly ice Pros: * Excellent chips and salsa * Brisket street tacos had good flavor but a bit spicy * Clean restaurant

Leonardo P.

Yelp
One of the best tacos and drinks I had in a long time....thumbs up for the Brisket! The staff was amazing and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance is great, they have a bar and dining space which is great for a date night or family gathering....not to mention they offer great deals during Happy Hour as well! Way to go Toreados.

Leo V.

Yelp
We accidentally visited during the end of "happy hour" with two hungry kids, only to find the food menu very limited... but with abundant alcoholic beverage choices. We were not into drinking, so tried to have a good experience with the limited "happy hour" menu. Oh, and by the way, the music was so loud we had to shout at each other if we wanted any conversational interaction. Even our teenager started glaring up at the speakers pumping out the night club level music and complaining "that music is too loud!" Kind of got the feeling the loud music was more for the benefit of the staff, who seemed to enjoy it more than the customers. The food was mediocre to straight up unpalatable. Caesar Salad was limp and tasteless...after a few bites it was left uneaten. Queso dip was way too thin and impossible to convey to mouth without dripping off the chip all over the table and the other dishes. It was more of a soup and was also left uneaten. We also tried the chiles, thinking they'd be nicely charred and flavorful (as we became accustomed to in California) but they were a mushy mess and all tasted the same. Also left uneaten. The Smoked Chicken taco was just okay, but was eaten. On the plus side...the Chicken Wings with Chipotle were good and eaten. The tortilla chips were also good, crispy and well salted. The setting could have been lovely, except for the very loud music. In conclusion, our attempt to feed ourselves ended up costing us $60 plus, with the kids basically making a meal out of eating the tortilla chips. I thought, wow... guess we could have just bought them a bag of chips to eat in a quiet park and saved $$$.

Davina D.

Yelp
Delicious smoked brisket and yummy veggie taco. The best bartender in town will take good care of you. Great outdoor seating. My biggest issue is the very limited menu. Only go if you like nacho, quesadilla, taco, enchilada (chicken only) or fajitas. That's about it.

K B.

Yelp
Tried this place for happy hour with girlfriends...fun atmosphere and good food. We drank and ate off the happy hour menu. Margaritas for $9, delicious. Huge bowl of guac for $5 was the best deal. We each got a taco that was packed with meat. I also had the chop salad that hit the spot. We had two different servers helping out and they were very friendly. We were one of the first to sit down and was worried business wasn't good but a few minutes later most tables were full. Hope they can make it! We Left full and happy!

Nancy S.

Yelp
Friendly staff, nice place. Liked the queso a lot. Tacos were decent. I'd go again, sure, but pursuit of best tacos around will continue.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Omg! The Paloma's! The nachos! The salsa! Best bartenders in LO! Sit at the bar, order up and don't forget the guacamole!

J A.

Yelp
Where do I start? First, completely dishonest. We were seated in a room. Menus had happy hour items and rates. We were there during happy hour. Several margaritas and guac on the happy hour menu. Turns out, the happy hour prices did not apply because "we were seated in the wrong room." Nothing said when we were seated--just a misleading, dishonest menu and no gesture to apologize or make it right. Next . . . There were only a few serious entrees on the menu. Very minimal and disappointing. And more . . . margaritas were unusually small--barely more than a shot glass. Like, a half of a half-tumbler with lots of ice. Ridiculous. Finally, food was ok, but the tacos were microscopic. Really? Also, ridiculous, to the point of being comical. Big disappointment. Much better places with similar fare in our town within a short distance. Do not waste your time. Likely won't be in business very long anyway once the word gets out.

Karol G.

Yelp
We've been 3 times, overlapping Happy Hour with dinner so trying a lot of items, and sitting on the outdoor patio which is nicely shaded by the building in the afternoon/evening. Service has always been friendly & fast with suggestions if you ask. I have loved the flavors but my faves so far are the shrimp tacos, guacamole (plenty to top other menu items) & chips, and the appetizer chicken wings are delish!! Still need to try the recommended brisket!! Tequila drinks are good and it's fun to try new flavors. We'll be back.

Erin P.

Yelp
I love Tex Mex and Toreados is tasty! The queso is delicious, which is always priority #1 for me. The chips were light and snackable. The smoked chicken fajitas were so good - I need to know how they make it! The refried beans were so smooth and tasted great! We had margaritas and I appreciate the way they salt the rim - the little details matter!

Julie P.

Yelp
We live very close to the restaurant maybe just 5 minutes. We liked the food but menu is very limited. Not enough to frequent. I hope they will consider adding a little more variety to their menu options. Service was good and the patio seating was wonderful to sit outside. I hope this restaurant is a success.

Jim S.

Yelp
Great food and service. Definitely will be back for happy hour. Comfortable outside are amd dog friendly

Dave S.

Yelp
Happy Hour is our favorite. Brisket tacos are amazing, guacamole is very good and the nachos are very generous. Service is friendly and attentive. Outdoor seating is perfect for warmer evenings.
