Toro sushi

We ate at Toro Sushi last night. It was our first time there. It is a small restaurant with very limited seating and based on what we observed does a booming take-out business. It does have several seats at the sushi bar. But don’t let its small size throw you off- everything we tried was excellent and the service spot on and very friendly. We started with a couple of Asahi beers served nice and cold. Next we ordered a Rainbow roll and a Spider roll. Each was nicely plated and delicious. The various flavors stood out reflecting the freshness and quality of the fish. We also ordered tuna sashimi and salmon sashimi. In my opinion this is one of the best ways to sample the true quality of the fish a restaurant is purchasing and serving. Each piece was buttery soft, delicate in flavor and superb tasting. Pricing was reasonable especially considering the quality of the fish. We will certainly be back.

What an amazing night and it was even better cus our server jenny was absolutely amazing and she was so friendly polite and had such an amazing personality we loved it she made our night memorable thats for sure I'll definitely be back for round 2 cus the service was perfect Jenny is so sweet so if yr in the area come see jenny she will treat you like family 10/10 service

Love this place, sushi and sashimi are always fresh and tasty, we always order from the chef menu thats on the wall by the bar seating, it's highlighted in a neon blue light.

I am Las Vegas born and raised native - and this is one of my favorite sushi spots to come to. The team is always incredibly welcoming and all greet you the moment you walk in (it almost feels like family welcoming you in). And as someone who 8/10 dines alone by choice to enjoy it - this always means the world when I walk in here for it to feel like that. Additionally, their service is impeccable. In a city full of ‘All You Can Eat’ options, going to a place that isn’t that is wildly refreshing. There is always so much love poured into their dishes and it’s noticeable - unlike so many of the AYCE establishments. And I love the intimacy of the space, as it’s quaint and welcoming too. They also have THE BEST lunch special in town for sushi (and their dinner special is out of this world too). But I oftentimes come for lunch and order the ‘Sushi Lunch’ combo, and let me tell you it’s the best. For the price and the quality of the food, you cannot beat it (and the chefs always provide an amazing 6 piece ‘Chef’s Choice’). I have been coming here for many years and will not be stopping any day soon. Thank you to the Toro Sushi team for always making the experience memorable and delicious. My kids and I loved our sushi here and the service was great. They do not skimp on the serving sizes unlike many other cheaper sushi places. I loved the Salmon Lover roll (rice free) so much that I ordered it again and enjoyed that the same role had its own unique presentation! Great little sushi spot!

The servers were so amazing! Two lovely ladies! They both never let my water get to even halfway down before coming and refilling it. They also were very friendly. I came alone to treat myself because I was feeling sad about something personal. It was my first time there. As soon as I came in, all the staff (even the sushi chefs) greeted me. It was so cute! The two women were smiling so big, asking me how I am doing, and talking to me regarding my menu questions in such a friendly warm manner- it turned my whole mood around! The food was FANTASTIC! Big portions and delicious flavors. The salad dressing was so so yummy!!! 😋 Also, normally, I feel like chicken teriyaki and California rolls taste basic, but not here. The marinade was special. TBH, with the perfectly cooked chicken and the marinade..... Perfect sweet savory balance.... I think it was the best that I have had. Also, there were two layers of chicken. Which is double the amount I would get at any other restaurant. And the California rolls tasted so fresh! Very very good. The tempura included shrimp and vegetables. Perfectly fried and crunchy with good tasting batter. I felt that the lunch special I got was worth more than I paid for it. I was so impressed that I left double the tip that I normally would. And right before I left, I wrote on the receipt, "Best service in town!" I will definitely be back in the future.

I love this place! Small, so finding seating can be a bit difficult in peak times, but the food is fabulous. Best bet is setting a reservation so that you know you'll have a table. There is no seating outdoors, so another option is taking your sushi to-go.

This is definitely my favorite sushi spot in Vegas/Henderson. Great service and rolls always come out quick. Most sushi spot's rolls are half the size of Toro but the same price. I have not had a bad experience the dozen times I have been here.

I think we found our new go to sushi spot, courtesy of BF! This place is known for their toro (hence the name lol), so we made sure we didn't leave that out on our dinner order. We tried the toro nigiri ($13.99), chirashi deluxe ($29.99), spicy tuna roll ($8.99), and uni nigiri ($11.95). Everything was fresh and delicious! We loved the toro nigiri so much, we placed a second order! While it's not AYCE, we would come back for our favorite a la carte items for a satisfying meal. Service was excellent as well. Friendly and courteous servers. Plenty of parking in the plaza.

Toro, our local Henderson neighborhood sushi restaurant. Those in the know go. Simple, no frills, solid sushi bar. Limited number of tables. Decor is basic, nothing special. Fish is fresh, daily specials, solid bento combos. We never leave hungry, portions are ample. Food quality & preparation on point. Attentive service, friendly & welcoming. Habit forming, recommended.

My dad and I's go-to sushi spot in Henderson. Don't worry about being so far away from the ocean at this spot. All their fish and produce is handled with care and the attention to detail is peak here. It's a small place so expect to wait if it's a full house. Definitely worth the wait unless it's 100+ outside. Service is always great here. Closed on Sundays!

My fiancé and I had been excited to try Toro Sushi as soon as we discovered it was so close to home. Not only did it surpass our expectations, it blew me away! The quality of the fish for a small suburban sushi spot was incredible, the portions were immensely generous for the price, and the service was amazing! Be sure to make a reservation to make the experience stress-free! Could not recommend more!

The wife and I decided to do an early dinner got there before three so she had a lunch special, which was excellent. Nice selection of sushi salad soup I kind of worked off the appetizer plus California roll. The spicy green beans were outstanding the best I've ever had. I never finish all the green beans when I finished every single one service was very good. Food quality was better than most sushi restaurants I've been to this will be a regular on our restaurant Route.

Such a cute little local place! I went inside to place an order to go but the service was still so great and friendly. I think I only waited 10 mins for my food. I went during lunch time because they have great lunch deals! You get so much for a great price I hope it never changes! Def a go to place for lunch/ dinner combos. When I got home the food was still hot and sushi fresh. Will be back. This isn't ayce but they have great combos that make up for it

The food here is still delicious and very fresh. I always get the lemon salmon roll and it's still amazing. I tried this other roll that was recommended but I can't remember the name! It was very good but large! Between the two rolls it was a bit too much food for me. However, that's a good problem to have. It's always clean in here which makes me feel more comfortable. Staff is friendly and attentive and I'll continue to come here as my go to sushi spot.

Very friendly staff here at Toro sushi. They were very efficient and accurate. They had so many options and unique rolls. I has the 007 roll and the Yum Yum Scallop roll. Both great choices I haven't seen at any other restaurant.

Review #26 of 2024 9pm visit on Friday June 28 As we walked into Toro Sushi, we were greeted with a loud, warm, and lovely "irasshaimase." It was a late dinner for us, and we all had our specific cravings. My eldest daughter wanted her beloved California roll, my middle daughter opted for Miso soup, and my son requested his favorite edamame. Their wishes were granted without hesitation. My wife chose the Katsu dinner combination, (which she shared with our children, they loved it!) while I indulged in two of my go-to rolls: the spicy tuna roll and spider roll. I also decided to try something new, the Angry Albacore roll. As always, the quality of the fish at Toro Sushi was impeccable, leaving us satisfied and content. It was a fast dinner for us. We spent roughly 45 minutes here from the time we walked in and paid. Great people and despite being busy, gave us the right amount of attention without hovering. We left the restaurant with happy hearts and full bellies, already looking forward to our next visit. Our recommendation; definitely drop by if you are in the area and craving Japanese cuisine.

Sushi is fresh and one of the best we tried. Service is on point t and everyone is so sweet. Ambiance is fun and outgoing. We go once a week!

First time here and I will be coming back. Toro and Hamachi were worth the trip alone and the Blue Canyon was delicious.

This is the best sushi I've had outside of beach cities in California!! My group tried 3 appetizers, the miso soup, and 5 different rolls and EVERYTHING was fresh and delicious!! The quality and presentation of each plate was completely on point. I wish I had taken pictures! It is a very small but absolutely adorable place. Everything is super clean. Also, the service is top tier - not once did an employee pass our table without checking in on us. The prices were mind blowing - with everything we ate, I expected to spend way more than $115!

We were their first customers just after they opened! We figured that might be the best way to really get everything FRESH Everything was delicious! I do wish it was a slightly larger portion of the vegetable tempura, but nonetheless, it was lovely. We made a couple of small requests with the rolls, and they hit every one correctly, so that's always a plus as well. For my personal liking: the tofu got way too soft after soaking for a little bit in the broth, but it is advertised as a soft tofu, so that is to be expected. Also, we had trouble with the rolls falling apart really easily. Not sure if they weren't just rolled as tight as they should have been, or maybe the rice wasn't as sticky as it needed to be, but the flavor was still there. Overall, we will definitely be back. The food was delicious, the service was kind and quick, and the general ambiance was welcoming and comfortable. The space itself is a tad small, but I feel like it allows them to really make sure their customer service and speed of service is on point.

Great food at a great price. Service was excellent as well. We came in during lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty full. The ambience was family friendly would recommend.

Toro Sushi is a cozy sushi restaurant I have been eyeing for awhile, it's located in between Tacotarian and Makers & Finders in the Smith's shopping center. Their options are not as vast as other sushi restaurants but I actually like that, it's easier for me to make a decision on what I would like. What really make them great is their service.

We stumbled in here one weekday night and sat at the bar for dinner. It's a quaint place, not a ton of tables inside, but they got surprisingly busy around 8pm on a weekday night, so I recommend getting there a bit earlier if you're looking to sit down right away. Overall great fish quality and loved seeing the chefs prepare the dishes at the bar. The fish-to-rice ratio was on point with the rolls being quite filling by themselves. Some of their rolls do come quite saucey, so if you don't want it on top, you can always request it on the side (which we did and we didn't end up using it!). Their specialty rolls looked especially good, so I recommend trying at least one of their specialty rolls. And if you like scallops, I recommend trying a roll or sushi with scallops, it's quite fresh here! Can't wait to come back again!

Fast and friendly service! We ordered the chirashi sushi, tempura and sushi combo, and the chicken katsu combo. The fish was fresh and tasted absolutely delicious! The tempura was crispy and there was much more food than we expected. This is a great place for sushi and reasonably priced as well. What a great find!

Such a cute mom and pop, hole in the wall location. The food is SO Good and the service is always so kind and sweet. Likely owned by a family and it feels home-y. I came to treat myself for lunch and it didn't disappoint!! I ordered a bento box with all the fixin AND a few orders of Toro and I was so happy. It was a great way to kick off my birthday!

Love love love Toro! Hidden gem in green valley ranch. The sushi is so fresh and the bluefin tuna/toro sushi is just as good as Nobu. They only have beer and wine/sake so if you're looking for cocktails I recommend having them next door at Boom Bang. Toro is small and they bring the food out quickly but you aren't dining there for the ambiance but rather the quality and talent from the sushi chefs/owners. They do not have AYCE but it's so worth it if you want high quality sushi in Henderson.

I've tried many sushi spot in Vegas but this is definitely my go to the quality is unmatched. They are not AYCE so just know but I will tell you once you had a taste it's done chef James is the owner and chef and he's brings back that feel of a small shop that invest in their customers very welcoming. The place its self is small but if you can get a table you will be very lucky to eat their delicious sushi. I work on the strip and I always tell people to try toro sushi over Nobu trust me you won't regret trying her

I love toro! This is the first time I got it to go cause I was in a rush and it was still fresh and fantastic! I got the yellowtail sushi and the tiger roll and by the time I got home it was still super delicious! Highly recommend!

Came in for the first time because we wanted some good sushi but didn't want to go all the way to Vegas or Chinatown. We saw some really cool looking sashimi platters on Yelp, but they didn't have the fish for the one we wanted this time. We ordered some things off of their daily specials: salmon belly, hamachi belly, and toro nigiri. We also got James' Special, which is whatever the chef chooses for us (without rice). We were still hungry after that so we ordered another hamachi cut roll and the shrimp tempura udon. My favorite was probably one of the tuna wrapped krab rolls in James' Special. For the udon, I wish the shrimp wasn't tossed in the soup so it could stay crispy

We had our dinner here tonight, January 2, 2025. Food was delicious and we enjoyed it. Service was great and excellent. Place was quiet and the music was not too loud. We love it here. Miso soup is one of the best and my dinner combinations were too much. Thank you so much for your Excellent Service. Happy New Year

Best sushi I've had in Vegas. The blue mermaid is my personal favorite it has spicy tuna shrimp tempura and bluefin tuna on top it's so freaking good. Everything is always so fresh even when I order takeout. They package beautifully as well. I also love that it's a small intimate restaurant. They don't have a lot of seating and do not offer all you can eat so I've experienced great customer service and good quality food every single time.

This place is a hidden gem. Toro sushi has consistently served some of the highest quality, fresh sashimi I've ever had. Don't get fooled by the casual location. When it comes to freshness and quality, they are really up there with the best of the best. I have been coming here since the beginning of 2021. So for 2 years, I've never had a single subpar experience here at Toro. Each and every time, my expectations have been exceeded whether I'm taking out or dining in. The service here is always amazing and they take pride in what they serve. It's no surprise that they are always busy. So, if you want a seat on a busy weekend night, be sure to call in advance and get a reservation! Summary of Pros: - Excellent quality fish that is always fresh - Consistency - Amazing service We are huge fans of many of their items: - Sashimi salad: 5/5 best I've ever had. Full stop. - All of their yellowtail items: So very fresh, buttery and good! - Traditional stuff: ikura gunkan and maki rolls (very good) - The NO RICE rolls: 5/5 they use REAL soft shelled crab (not imitation krabmeat, which is usually made of wheat and artificial flavors) It's very, very hard to find NO RICE rolls anywhere else that use real crab! - My husband loves their Alaska roll. Highly recommend!

Best sushi for the money we have found so far. The sashimi salad is solid and very consistent with a lot of fish and that awesome dressing! The 3 lover rolls are our favorites along with the Japanese nachos! Service is spectacular. Tiny place and sometimes hard to get in...better to go during off hours. Can't wait to come back.

Great for lunch AND dinner. The menu offers a large choice of sushi, sashimi, and house special rolls. I absolutely love this place and the lovely staff that work here. Small quant little place, expeditious service, a little confused about the portions but they worked it out, filling and delicious. I'm ordering again tonight with my husband! Henderson roll and tempura shrimp was the business!

We were staying nearby and found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. We were a party of 7 and were seated pretty fast. Small little place so seating is limited but don't let that scare you away. Good was delicious, good variety of sushi to choose from. Pricing was more than fair. They Playboy was my go to.

We tried this place last night based on the great reviews from Yelp. Our sushi was very mushy and a bit fishy. The service was good but the food itself was not good we weren't happy at all. We'll NEVER go back to this place.

Wow, the Irish role was sooo good. I literally had to go back to Toro sushi three times in one week to get my fix! They quickly became the best sushi roll I've ever had in my life. 100% go. Not now...but right now!!!!

Love this little spot of dine in or take out! Food is spot on for quality and temperature! You can do traditional Japanese preparations or fun saucy rolls! They will make you anything you want! Great balance of modern and old school food!

Good food, excellent, friendly service but Midori is still our choice. Ten minutes away and 20% less. But the place was packed and everyone looked happy. Just our opinion.

Great local sushi spot in Henderson! The staff are always very friendly and the design of the rolls and sashimi platters are always a sight to see. We usually get our food to go and there has never been a problem with the rolls being cold or room temperature and the quality and presentation is still top-notch. Though their sushi is good, my favorite item to get is their lunch special which is fairly priced and comes with a good amount and variety of dishes. You get miso soup, salad, rice, some tempura vegetables, four-piece sushi roll, and a main dish (think teriyaki, katsu, etc.). This is not an AYCE restaurant so we aware of that when ordering. I think that is why I usually go with the lunch combo because I can usually put down some sushi but don't always feel like breaking the bank.

What a pleasant experience during lunch time on a weekday! I actually dined here a few years ago with one of my girlfriends, after a spa day. Fast forward to 2023, I returned with my husband & our baby boy for our lunch break, in between errands. We were famished upon arrival. We ordered Agedashi tofu & hamachi Kama for appetizer. Both apps were amazing! For our main entrees, I had one spicy tuna roll and one spicy salmon roll. Both of the rolls were delicious & fresh. My husband really enjoyed his chicken katsu bento box. The service was phenomenal & efficient. We will definitely return if we are in Henderson again.

Ample parking in the plaza. We met another couple there as it's their fav sushi place. I want to know why. Upon walking in, there's 2 customers around the bar area and no one at the surrounding tables. It's 5:30pm on a Thursday. We were there before the others, we were greeted and given a choice where we want to sit. The place is small and won't be able to fit more than 20ppl. We picked a table close to the sushi bar plus the windows. Our friends ordered all their favorites and.... Omfg hamachi belly and salmon belly orders are out of this world, like take all my money. Everything they ordered and came to the table were fresh and great presentation. Service is amazing, constantly making sure our tables are clean and that we have all we need and want. I ordered more hamachi belly as they ran out of the salmon belly. Melts in my mouth. Nothing needed - soy sauce, ginger, wasabi - nothing. Place definitely does not need to be big. They had customers come in and out throughout the 2 hours we were there. We will be back.

Headed back to Vegas from Hoover Dam and needed some good Sushi. After several minutes of scrolling GM, I decided this was the best option. I was promptly greeted upon arrival and offered a spot at the sushi bar. This excellent customer service was consistent throughout the visit too! The awesome waitress pointed me to the daily specials, which she explained in detail. (I wish I could remember what they were now...lol) Anyways, everything was delicious! I can highly recommend Toro Sushi as the fish was fresh and the service was even better!

Pro-tip: The sushi platters on their page are actually just combined items from their regular menu - they don't actually sell preset platters. Highlights: The quality of the fish here is definitely high, and they are pretty generous with their sushi portions in the sashimi, and the nigiris. I also liked that their rolls had a lot of fish in them and not just crab mix. They even had a lot of options for no rolls which is nice to see outside of all you can eat places. I was really impressed by the value of their lunch combinations too, for $14 you get a lot of food and it's all pretty good too! Lowlights: I was surprised how long it took for the cooked food to come to our table. We basically finished all of the sushi before our chicken katsu lunch entrée came out. And the hamachi kama was even later than that. It would've been nice to get all of our food together. The price of sashimi is a bit higher than other places I've seen.

Hidden sushi gem in the Green Valley area. I haven't dined inside yet. Just a heads up that it's not a big place. The sushi, both taste and quality, is phenomenal. The staff are very polite and traditionally Japanese. Plenty of patrons enjoy eating at the Sushi bar to hang out with the sushi chefs. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving sushi.

Small but cute little sushi place tucked in a corner on valle verde. They aren't on any food delivery service yet so that's why I hadn't gone yet. But looked at reviews and decided to give it a shot. You can call ahead and order for pickup which we LOVED for date night. They had our order ready to go when we arrived. Food was fresh and I have to say the quality of their fish is amazing. This is our new takeout sushi date night option!

This was definitely a great find via Yelp, especially for a sushi place being in Henderson. I was on the phone with my friend while I was getting ready to come here; I mentioned that I was taking my mama bear here for lunch and she also raved about how awesome this place was. My mom and I ordered their hamachi Kama, 4 pc Toro, and the lunch special sashimi that came with miso soup and a salad. I didn't eat the hamachi Kama, but mama bear enjoyed it. We also enjoyed the sashimi special; the sashimis were pretty fresh! The 4 pc toro was disappointing though; it didn't live up to its name - fatty tuna. That 4 pc cost more than the sashimi specials (that came with 4 pcs of 4 types of fish, but it's okay, at least we know not to get that next time. I also came back a few weeks later and did their takeout when my cousin was in town. Their sashimis were just as fresh as when we initially dined there. I will continue to order from here.

Toro Sushi is a small sushi restaurant in the Smith's shopping center strip mall located off of Valle Verde and 215. Nestled in the corner amongst a bunch of other restaurants, this is a great neighborhood sushi place. We called and ordered take out. Super friendly and stated our order would be ready in 20-30 minutes. Once at the restaurant for pickup, it was a smooth and quick transaction. The sushi was fresh and pretty tasty. A little heavy on the rice for my personal taste. Here's what we ordered: Spicy salmon roll Spicy salmon with cucumber This was just ok. I love how spicy the sauce was, but it was a little too spicy for the delicate salmon. All I could taste was the sauce, it totally overpowered the salmon. O.M.G. roll $15.99 in: shrimp tempura, cucumber, crab out: tuna, salmon, yellowtail w/ crunch yum yum sauce Really fresh and filling. Loved the texture of the crunch. Angry Albacore $14.99 in: shrimp tempura, spicy crab, cucumber out: chopped soft shell crab, albacore, jalapeno on top w/ sriracha, spicy garlic sauce Spicy and very filling. Good amount of filling inside. We will be back and next time try one of the combo lunch or dinners. Looks like a really good deal for a good amount of food. They also have riceless rolls which I will def have to try next time.

The food is amazing services always fantastic and the Ambiance is wonderful. And downtown Boise I highly recommend this hotspot.
