"If you’re one of those people who think that desserts in Japanese restaurants are not the strong point of the menu, then you haven’t tried Toro’s natsumaki banana - a sponge cake filled with banana preserve, coated with crunchy flakes and served with a Port wine reduction and a smooth cinnamon sorbet. A mix of traditional and fusion dishes, such as Maguro foie teriyaki (carpaccio of pear, tuna and foie gras), feature on the menu at this property, which was designed by the architect Naoki Otake." - Michelin Inspector

The restaurant has a lovely ambience, with an open and airy feel. The sushi chefs were pleasant, however we could not order through them we had to order through the waiter. The food was good and great value as the prices are extremely reasonable. I particularly recommend the truffle salmon sashimi. I would recommend.

Had the best priced omakase at this restaurant with 8 courses for just £50! In London, I’d easily pay 4-5 times the price for a meal like this. Every course I tried was super creative and the fish used was of the highest quality. I don’t know any Portuguese so my server very kindly used Google translate to explain each of the dishes to me. I whole heartedly recommend this spot.

Food was excellent I had omalase. However, with me being from Canada, it is hard to impress me with salmon and Canadian scallops. So just the personal preference. Caipirinha with sake was amazing. You can choose three fruits.

Love Japanese food, but this restaurant it's an unique experience. 5 starts to food, 4 for timing. Must try for Maguri spicy misso and shake buter garlic.

Did sushi omakase. Was more like sushi kamikaze. Fish was not fresh AT ALL. Extremely fishy taste on all nigiri. The last course was 5 pieces of roe sushi. Disgusting. Roe is supposed to be salty and creamy, but smelled like socks and was FISHY. Used to be amazing but today sucked. Also they couldn't even make a gin martini correctly. Awful.

Seriously this is the best sushi I’ve ever eaten. It is insane. Unbelievable what they make out of the fish. How do they make it so soft?! Perfect balance between flavors. Everything fresh. Unbelievable

Very nice food! High quality and good presentation. Their version of the bloody Mary is excellent. The interior is cosy and modern. Try the Uni if you never had urchin. They are not stingy. Coming from London, this is very well priced. NJAM!

Truly one of the best fish i have ever had. Sao Paulo is known for their sushi and pasta, so I was looking for a great place for sushi to take my husband. He is also a sushi snob. Toro Moema has a great ambiance, trendy, and elegant, yet casual enough to make anyone feel comfortable. The service staff is very attentive and always ready to help. I would definitely go back anytime.

The salmon garlic butter sashimi melts in your mouth and the crunchy garlic slice is a nice contrast of flavor and texture. We also tried the salmon skin and maguro karai temakis, both very good. The uramaki maguro karai is also recommend.
