"Zip Line in Toroverde Adventure Park ToroverdeAdventure Park is home to Puerto Rico ’s highest peak, which beckons hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts, including those who enjoy the adrenalin rush of zip-lining. It’s claimed that this is the longest zip line in the world. Is the superlative true? The answer becomes less important as you’re swooping across the canopy, enjoying the thrill of speed and the bird's-eye view of the forest."

Ziplining was one of the best experiences ever! The views were incredible, and the overall adventure was unforgettable. While the food on-site was pricey, we received a $25 discount with our tickets, which helped. Getting there from San Juan involves a long, winding drive, so be prepared-it's definitely a full-day trip. There isn't much else to do in the area, so it's more of a one-and-done experience. Still, I'd absolutely go again! Just make sure to plan your day around it.

Google
Group of 5 and we did the 7 zip lines and two of them did the upgrade for the monster. We had an amazing time!! The staff was very nice and relaxed, which is helpful when you’re doing something that could be considered scary. Our guides were Francisco, Angelica, Axis, and Ashley. All very friendly!! Definitely wear comfortable shoes and bring water if you can. There is a lot of walking/steps especially near the end of the 7 zip line tour. I would certainly do this again!! Get there early if you can depending on what you plan to do because the wait for your entire tour group (not just your personal group) can take a while. The views were absolutely amazing!!

Google
Very good place . Longest zipline in America was definitely worth it. I went around 12pm and was a good time not too many people were there . Left around 2 so a good amount of time was spent at the park. I went on the monster & the beast . Very exciting and the zipline experience was very peaceful. Clean space all around and well organized. You won’t regret it !

Went here with my Family (4 of us) on my brother's birthday 2 days ago. We got the family package: The Monster+Ziplines. The Monster was So Incredible and So Awesome to experience. If you're scared of heights, there's no other way to conquer your fears. The staff were so friendly and cool and this place is an absolute hidden gem in the mountains. We had SUCH a great time , and we ate at the restaurant once we were done to top it all off. 10/10 Must Go! Do the Monster+Beast Combo and finish at the Restaraunt for the best experience!

Google
Had an absolutely amazing time at Toro Verde !!!! Really awesome time. The zip lines were thrilling, with breathtaking views, and the staff was incredibly friendly and safety-focused. After our adventure, we enjoyed some fantastic food and drinks at their on-site café. The menu had a great variety, from quick bites to hearty meals, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The drinks were refreshing, perfect for relaxing after the adrenaline rush. The overall vibe of the place was vibrant and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for adventure lovers and foodies alike. Highly recommend for a fun day out with friends or family!

Google
Absolutely fantastic! This is such a gorgeous area for an adventure park! The staff is so nice and the attractions are fantastic. Definitely do El Monstruo and The Beast if you want big thrills. But come prepared for rainforest weather with quick dry clothing and a rain jacket!

Google
I walked up to the counter the day and time I wanted to do this event. I went on a Thursday afternoon without any wait. I did the Beast…never before had I done a zip line and loved it! It was exhilarating, even for someone like me who is afraid of heights. Highly recommend it. Next time I plan to do the monster.

Google
While there are several zip line parks available on the island, none compare to Toro Verde. The set up is excellent. From the moment you dawn your harness, you move from one zip line to the next seamlessly. Zip lines range from 200 feet to 800 feet in altitude. If you need a little bit more of an adult, adrenaline rush, buy a separate ticket for the monster. The monster zip line will move you at 60 mph. Hold onto your sunglasses! Well, on the island we were staying in El Viejo San Juan. We rented a car for the day and made our way to Orokovis. We made sure to leave early enough to catch the park at opening. Getting an earliest key. There is no waiting. The drive took us about an hour. Enjoy the scenery as you drive up the hills towards the zip line. Easy drive. Also, enjoy some wonderful restaurants as you head up towards a zip line, or on your way back down.

Yelp
Gerardo was an amazing tour guide. Asked everyone if they were having a good time even wanted to get to know everyone. Asked everyone where they are from and was very welcoming. The lines were insane. Monster line was AMAZING!!! You get a bang for your buck doing the family pack. Have fun!!!

Yelp
We got the couple's pass for $150. The couple pass is for 2 people, includes in a single day, 2 combos and a coupon of $25 redeemable in restaurants. We chose the Zipline & The Monster combo. The zipline is a series of 7/8 lines zigzagging over the mountain about 10-20 seconds each. The monster is a huge line from one end to the other where you lay down into the safety strap. It's over a minute long depending on your speed and it's scary yet exhilarating. Smile because they do take pictures that you can purchase later on. We then went to "La Terraza Del Toro" restaurant to eat. The view over the mountain is awesome. We were immediately seated and greeted by our waiter, Jean. We ordered drinks, Persecco-Rita and a Pina Colada, and took time to look over the menu. Once we were ready to order, we waited for Jean but he was busy with other guests. Thankfully a waitress, Michelle, can over to check on us and took our order. Love that kind of teamwork. We got our drinks and we didn't like the persecco-Rita so they thankfully took it back and exchange it for a frozen mango margarita which was equally as good as the Pina Colada. As we waited for the food, we went down stairs to the shop and bought souvenirs as well as our Monster zip line photos. Once again, smile! Our photos were embarrassing but we bought them anyway and went back to to the restaurant. Overall our food was good. I wished they would have seasoned the meats more versus relying on the sauce for the flavoring. For example, we ordered the salmon and didn't like the white sauce. We pushed it off and just ate the fish. The fish was cooked perfectly but was a bit bland. The rice and peas were delicious! The shrimp appetizer was pretty good. Once again we didn't like the sauce on top but the shrimp and plantains themselves were good. We got the wings plain with the sauces on the side. The guava BBQ was our favorite choice. Next was the buffalo sauce and our least favorite was the jerk sauce. The staff was friendly and quick. Jean and Michelle were amazing! Yelp
We always have a good time with family and friends at Toro Verde. The views are beautiful, once you manage your initial anxiety and allow yourself to enjoy the experience of nearly flying.

Yelp
SO MUCH FUN!!!! if you go to Puerto Rico, you must come here, we did the zip line tour plus "the monster", what an amazing experience; I've heard reviews of people waiting hours in line. We did not have to wait more than 10 minutes for the first one and after that it was from one sip line right next to the next one without any waiting...... "the monster" had a very manageable 10 minute wait; the drive there is beautiful trough the puerto rica mountains and valleys.

Yelp
This is a an adventure that you should do. We spend several hours doing all of the zip lines and this place is a MUST. highly recommended

Yelp
I pre-purchased tickets for the zip-lining tour a couple months before we were going to be here. When the day came, my girlfriend was feeling very nauseous after becoming car sick on the way to the park. She tried to tough it out but was very clearly still sick. Having done nothing we paid for, I asked to be refunded and was told that it wasn't an option. Not even a partial refund. The same thing happened with a couple behind us. Very predatory practices that are inexcusable considering the cost to us and zero cost to the business. We'll never go back and will make sure to suggest the same to anyone else going to Puerto Rico.

David G.

Yelp
One of the best experiences we had in Puerto Rico. We have done zip lining before but never on this level. We did the Monster and another 8 zip lines. The whole thing took about 2 hours. The monster is a 1.57 mile zip line that you lay down on. It gets up to 95mph! It was exhilarating! One lady that was with us was nervous and hesitant about doing it but when I saw her face after she accomplished it she was ecstatically happy and so glad she did it! If you have doubts...Just DO IT! The other smaller zip lines were a great warm up for the monster. We went back and forth over a valley and it was sit down style with two handles you hold on to. Here they do the breaking for you so its really easy. The views you see are amazing. Your flying over rain forests and rivers like a bird. The workers were funny, entertaining, and helpful. We paid $89 for the 9-10 zip line sincluding the monster and it was money well spent. Also the ride back up the mountain is an adventure as well. You go up incredibly steep hills on a gravel road. Its like taking a offroad jungle tour. This is a must do thing when visiting Puerto Rico. And its only about an hour from San Juan.

Yelp
If you're an adrenaline lover, it's definitely the place to go. For big groups. Definitely buy the family pack ( for 4 people) The Beast and The Monster were my favorite ones. Definitely coming back to do the Bicycle Ride.

Yelp
They offer the second highest and longest Superman zipline in the world, but the business operation could have been better. I enjoyed my Superman zipline and five other ziplines, but my experience involved confusion and major delays. They seemed to be short one staffer on the ziplines, so one staffer was offloading zippers and uploading zippers for the next zip, which caused a 1/2 hour backup on one of the lines. Not cool! Also, walking directions between ziplines were absent or confusing. The one sign visible to offloading zippers after the third zip was pointing in the wrong direction. Yikes! It would have been nice to have a GoPro mounted to my helmet to remember the experience, but the shop was out of GoPro rentals. Not cool! The staff were accommodative, with a language barrier. I noticed a restaurant and a gift shop. The location was a 1 hr 15 min bus ride each way from the cruise port. Overall, the great experience overshadowed the minor difficulties.

Yelp
Me and my family arrived at ten am Monday the June 5th we were super exited because it was our first time there and it would be our free of fear event. The view going into there was amazing . But the staff were not friendly as I would expect especially the cable staff . We finally got into the first cable were we got all wired We followed are first cable guy for our first zip line sitting We walked down a rocky hill we're I slipped and sprained my left ankle As I fell, the Staff looked at me and continue to walk forward, not even knowledge that I fell It took me 10 minutes to come up. I was hurting so bad he didn't even bother to check up on me. I was finally able to stand up with the help of my family, I decided to continue When we finally hit there I told Staff, if I die, would you ever help me? You didn't even bother to check up on me and see if I was all right. quite frankly, I was hurting but with the help of my family once again I was able to carry on! there was no way after driving 3hours that I would bail out !! limping and all, I continued what bothered me the Most that no one cared, I kept on asking them to help me stand up while they buckle me but not even one even bother to ask me if I was OK to continue on my my whole journey. But as a trooper I contend to carry on until the end where I got the paramedics to look at it. And At that time I was swollen, like an elephants foot. The staff needs more training and have more sympathy, they need to let the guests know to be careful rocks down the hill could be very slippery. I understand that they were not happy working there but at least fake

Yelp
The Zipline and Beast are amazing attractions a most do if you are in the island. (The zip lines are very long and it takes about 1.5-2.0 hours to do the whole Zipline tour.

Yelp
If I could leave less than 1 star I would. The park booked us at 8am, and on the day in question wouldn't pick up the phone to help us navigate the last bit of the way. We're tourists here and our phone connections and knowledge of the local roads wasn't that good, so we got lost. We called 15 minutes prior to 8 am, at 8 am, and 15 minutes after. While Google maintained they were closed on that day, that they booked me. We ended up driving all the way back to Luquillo 2 and a half hours away without having ridden our zipline. Finally I called them when they reopened and the manager basically said we were open and operational, it's my fault I couldn't find the directions and they won't refund us for the cost of the booking. So I'm out close to $400 as well as 5 and a half hours of our day wasted. Additionally of course there's the fact that we skipped other activities to do this, but it was clear Toro Verde park couldn't care less about it's clients. I'm in the process of disputing it with my bank, but this is just disappointing to see how tourist get treated by Toro Verde. I'd recommend you go anywhere else and do any other activity, your trip, family, peace pf mind, and wallet will thank you for it.

Yelp
A MUST when in Puerto Rico! We paid $300 all together for both us to do 3 zip lines each! It was super awesome and well worth it! TIPS: make sure you wear sneakers/ closed toed shoes or else you can't get on. Take your go pro And have lots of fun! Not meant for children. Great for adults!

Yelp
4/1/21 We made reservations online for 11am a little over a month before our visit. We only did The Monster since the Zipline, Beast, and The Monster combo was sold out. First off, it's gorgeous up here!!! Easy to get to. 11am on a Thursday and it was not busy at all. We arrived about 1040am. I wish I knew how to post videos on here because it really is gorgeous and 100% worth doing and worth making the drive to! By the time we were done, it started to get busy so we had perfect timing and missed the crowds. We did eat at the restaurant and I highly suggest that as well. The food was amazing! Pro tip: Keep your hands behind your back/on your side as instructed because you won't make it to the end of the zipline like me :-) (I forgot my gopro clip thingy so I was holding it out for video). One of the workers had to come out on the line and come get me.

Yelp
First time went there! It was a long drive but worth it from west coast of PR! Beautiful scenery mountain view! There are staffs there to help control parking lots which is so much easier! First, you need to sign waiver before you arrive there and make reservation with specific time too. We wore our masks there for our safety. Recommend wear long pants with close sneakers. It is really hot & humidity but for your safety, you don't want your legs get hurt from long branches and short stairs hiking depends on which zipline package you pick. The staffs are friendly with and gesture with us since we are Deaf. It was so much fun and worth it for our experience! Would love come again to try other rides!

Natasha G.

Yelp
A fun, exhilarating experience! I did the 7 lines and The beast. I was there for at least 4 hours! Great line leaders.
google avatar

Yoly C.

Yelp
They need to better organize the times for guests so their is not so much waiting, 2 hours turned into 6 hours. Also, 2 hours of consecutive ziplines and no water is not cool. They should tell people to bring water at least. The ziplines are pretty amazing and the price is good.

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Zip line is great but DO NOT EAT there. Takes forever and the run out of what you order and don't tell you till an hour later and that's because we asked where our food was....
google avatar

Kaye D.

Yelp
We did the zip lines/monster package and had such a good time! Upon arrival, I was terrified. The monster looked like it would be too intense for me. After doing the zip line course, I gained enough confidence to conquer the monster. !**Things to note**! .Employees: The staff are incredibly kind and patient. .Glasses and Contact Lenses: We wore out glasses on every line and they started on our faces just fine. They have glasses straps for sale at the gift shop for $3 if you would like them. For contact wearers, consider asking about goggles for the Monster. I went without goggles and almost felt like my contacts were going to fall out from the intense speed. .Water/Lunch: Make sure you're plenty hydrated and well fed before your zip line tour. It lasts for quite a while, and I got hungry pretty quickly. .Gift Shop: My mother and I had issues finding feminine clothing options in the gift shop, and an even more difficult time finding clothes in small sizes. .Value: Our package was priced pretty fairly--our zip lines back home are much smaller and they charge more. .The Drive Up: Once you hit the mountain road, be prepared for a curvy and bumpy road. If you get carsick, I highly suggest bringing nausea meds.

Yelp
Very big place!! Our zip lining including 7/8 zip-lines? You start at the top and go across the valley. There isn't a difference in scenery until the last zip-line. The last zip-line was surreal, though. It started raining and our group ended up getting soaked. Being able to see the creek at the bottom and flying through the valley was amazing.

Jerika N.

Yelp
This was the activity I was looking forward to most for my PR trip. Definitely book in advance, especially if you want to do the zipline combo, which tends to sell out. Reservation times were pretty lax and it didn't take too long to do the bike zipline, which is the longest one in the world. I didn't think it was too bad - there's definitely an uphill climb towards the middle of the second zipline, but I really loved the view. My friend ended up getting a leg cramp during it, which did not sound so fun, and my sister had a bird fly in her face during hahaha. The people here are really nice and it was even easy to book the beast on the day of at the park. Don't sleep on the gift shop. Tons of athletic/sports/casual clothes (basically dri-fit) for a great price. I want to return to do the zipline combo, but I'll probably rent a GoPro there if I do!

Vanessa E.

Yelp
It was a fun experience. I enjoyed the drive up there as well as the zip line when i was finally able to ride it. The wait is a little long but it is worth the wait.

Yelp
I'm short, so it's safe to say I like being close to the ground. WARNING: NONE OF THE ACTIVITIES HERE ARE CLOSE TO THE GROUND. I only went because of peer pressure, but damn, I'm happy I did. We drove from Isabela to Toro Verde which was a scenic 1.5 hour drive. Just the perfect amount of time for me to find the Jimmy Fallon video on YouTube, watch it, then freak out about El Monstruo - the longest zip line in the Americas. If flying over mountains isn't your thing, don't worry. It's not mine either, but if I can do it without fainting, you can too. I don't know who you are, but I believe in you! You'll be paying $100 to walk up a super sketchy pair of stairs that lead into the sky, to be packed into an oversized diaper bag, made fun of by everyone in line behind you, and then pushed out into the universe by strangers who you are trusting with *no big deal* your life. I had the utmost privilege of doing this during a thunderstorm which really added to the adrenaline/paralyzing fear. So yes, I flew over mountains and streams and through clouds, and if you conquer El Monstruo, you will too. The experience was second to NONE. Scared or not, I can promise you it will feel worth it once it's done. Note - if you think zip lining across the first set of mountains, valleys, and streams wasn't enough, FEAR NOT. They're shipping you back to an open van via ANOTHER zip line high in the sky. If it's sunny out, make sure you have water and sunscreen because the van ride up and down hills is open. On the day we went, it was storming so we got to experience the scenic van ride as it down-poured on us. No umbrellas allowed. Whether you're zip lining in the sun or rain, be sure to wear a long-sleeved shirt because it gets chilly when you're flying high in the sky. ...and if you conquer El Monstruo, be sure to take a picture in front of the sign before you leave. This will likely be the only proof you have to brag to your family and friends with (unless you're ready with a Go Pro). Happy zip-lining!

Yelp
This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Puerto Rico. The zip line tour is fun and exciting, but if you've been zip lining before it's pretty par for the course. The real highlight without question is The Monster and the Beast. The experience of zip lining laying down in the superman position is unreal, hard to explain the exhilarating feeling!! The Monster is 2 miles long and you're zip lining for over two minutes, unreal. And the scenery is absolutely gorgeous, 1700 feet up in the mountains and you can see for what feels like an eternity.

Steven G.

Yelp
Loved the zip lines and the food was incredible service was good and it was good cuz it was good try it out I'm saying it was good because I didn't pay for it my parents did idk how much it was but I say it was good because I got to go for free not really good but good I loved it! DO NOT EAT THERE THO WAIT TIME IS FOREVER

Yelp
We have been ziplining in the Colorado Rocky Mountains so we had high expectations. This place did not disappoint. Once we got here we were impressed with the scenery and action. Very enjoyable. The monster and beast were a must do.

Vivian O.

Yelp
buyer beware they offer a price online for a combo package when you go to check out the price changes. you call the customer service and the explanation is oh sorry the price went up take it or leave it. False advertising sad

C L.

Yelp
The zipline was so good! That was an amazing view of hills and a river in the middle of the 2 min trip. The only pity was that we finished the zipline too late and they deleted our photos.

Yelp
I'm taking u to The court One of the employees over there While I am in the middle of the way in the zip lining stations His name is Robert He talked to me in a rude way after I was explaining to him that I want to go After my wife And I told him it's OK if he let the people in the station go before us but as long I'm going after my wife , He ignored me while I was talking to him so I asked him about his name he said my name is Robert do you wanna make a complaint go ahead and he said to me I remember your face I couldn't take it easy I got mad And I went back to the customer service They brought him to the office and he talk to me in a rude way again in front of the supervisor and he gat too close to my face I thought he's gonna hit me and the supervisor didn't do anything Too bad right I am here for a vacation but it's OK I called the police and I have the report number I'm gonna take you to the court So mad and disappointed I thought I'm gonna have a good day

Yelp
If you go or are in Puerto Rico, this is definitely worth a day trip. Buy your tickets ahead of time, and be ready to enjoy some amazing outdoor activiites. Be comfortable in what you wear. We went and did the Ziplines which are all super cool and impressively long! We didn't do the roc k climbing, but i hear that's also a good experience. I definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Due to the pandemic, the park closed for mandated curfew back in March 2020, and we could not use our 10 tickets. I have had dozens of calls, emails, and texts and was promised a refund many times. I never received it. This is pure robbery, profiting from the pandemic and keeping hundreds of dollars of money for a service never provided is shameful. Stay away from this business who does not deserve your support.

Yelp
Just an update for those traveling. Apparently it's normally $150/person for the Monster, but everything is discounted to 50% off, so they won't honor the 10% birthday discount as stated on their website. We ended up cancelling our reservation after driving 2.5 hours round trip, because we made an 11am reservation, but then were sent swiftly upstairs to a mile long line on the rooftop. The line was not following any social distancing rules, we all had our masks on, but people were standing on top of each other. I asked how long the wait would take, and we were told it would take at least 1.5-2 hours. I asked what the point of the reservation was? He said it's just so you can get here anytime before 11. We wasted 1.5 hours there, even switched outside to a smaller zip line course with only 7 people in line, and still never got suited up for the zip line. Waste of time! If you're a business that is going to open back up, and offer steep discounts to attract people, and to recoup some of your lost profits, that's fine. But then warn people that if you leave your hotel at 9am, you still won't be back before 4-5pm, because of the long lines and lack of staff. Yesterday was my birthday and I was really looking forward to this zip line, so it's unfortunate that we were unprepared for this hot mess, and that we didn't even get to go.

Yelp
Looking to get your blood and heart going? This is the spot. I was on a 110% adrenaline rush the entire time I was there. I did the monster and the zip line course and I I'm so glad I did this. I know PR has lots of zip lines to offer but I think this may have been one of the most epic and exhilarating experience ever. They have so more to do! You will spend an entire day for sure. The staff was amazing and helped through the entire thing.

Yelp
What an awesome experience. The trip to the location was a bit far with the many curves on the route but it was well worth it. The facility is top notch and it hosts the longest zip line in the world. Be prepared to spend some money in order to ride but it is well worth it if you enjoy this type of adventure! The facility is super clean and very nicely organized into the different areas they have. In addition they also have a snack shop along with a bar/restaurant on the top floor. If you like they also have souvenirs on the main entrance floor. The guides are all wonderful, they assist and talk you through what you will experience. Nice guys! Trust me you won't want to miss this!

Yelp
Worlds longest zipline? Check!!!!! My son and I love ziplining and when a trip to Puerto Rico gave us the opportunity to ride the longest in the world it was a no brainer. We of course are speaking about 'The Monster" which at 1200 feet high and 7,234 feet long lives up to its name. A word of caution however, if you are staying in San Juan (or in our case Rio Grande it will take you 1.5 to 2 hours to get there (we did take our time though) and once you get off the main highway the roads get pretty narrow but are in otherwise good repair. As others have noted, give yourself plenty of time and if you are using your phone have a Plan B for navigation as cell phone service is quite spotty or non existent. We arrived a bit early and checked in which afforded us the opportunity to watch others on the line. I have no fear of heights but even the hardened will utter a scooby doo "wrut wro" when they look down into the valley and can barely make out the end point of the line. Our group assembled and the staff went about fitting us to our harness and making sure everything fit. The majority of the gear is Petzl which I can attest from my climbing days top notch. You also get a helmet with a visor and gloves. You are also given a backpack which has your "Monster" related harness. A safety orientation is given then you climb the stairs to the top of the building. From there you clip into a safety cable to traverse a short cable bridge to the tower. to be honest it seemed a bit theatrical but I wonder if it is simply a way to weed out those who are having second thoughts. Once across you climb a tower to you hook in point. On the tower another guide gets you into the special harness and you are launched 'superman" style down the valley. Its quite a rush. They record your speed and I hit 48 miles per hour during my run. It takes a while and at the terminus they have a long slowdown area. It was really odd looking down and seeing someone cross well below me on another zipline :o From there you are helped out of your harness and you head up to another line which takes you part of the way through the valley. There you catch a ride up the hill back to the base. It was awesome to say the least. The park has other ziplines and a rope/confidence course. You could easily spend the whole day there.

Yelp
Had high expectations on the world's second longest ziplining. We arrived on Thur with a 10 am appt. It took exactly 90 mins from OSJ. The roads are narrow and single lane. Check in wasn't bad but their organization can be better as far as directing where we should go. Once we got our harness, we had to cross a bridge and climb to a platform. Then we had to position like in push-up and they will just let you go. However, we weren't given clear instructions on when we should open arms to slow down speed. We both got a huge bruise on right arm due to the harsh hit as we approached the platform. Then the guy said something to me that my arms needed to be opened. Hmm no one told us that! The view was amazing and it will be good to wear a long sleeve as it is cooler in the mountains.

Yelp
I want to say thank you to all the lovely people At your facility. My daughter Alondra Flores had her make a wish trip to Puerto Rico and she wanted to do your experience. She loved it. The smile and happiness on her face was priceless. We were supposed to come back in December or January for another visit. Unfortunately her cancer came back and she passed on Jan 5. Sorry it took so long to make a review. But I need to express the gratitude I owe your company and all the people who work for you. You gave my baby girl such happiness. And me a big scare since I'm afraid of heights and she made me get on it. Thank you. God bless all you. Sincerely. Ambel

Yelp
Check Out Our YouTube In Depth Video: https://youtu.be/x0w8UGxLmfU Puerto Rico's Toro Verde "Monster" Zip Line as seen On Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show Prior to Jimmy's features of Hamilton, Bad Bunny's "Mia" walk sing-along, and finally, his trip to Toro Verde to fly down "El Monstruo" (The Monster), we had already booked our trip to Puerto Rico. After seeing the videos, we were inspired to travel to Toro Verde. Toro Verde, at the time of booking, had an incredible special - 50% off of "The Beast" & Zip Line. We couldn't pass on the opportunity of riding these attraction for only $70 each (including taxes and fees). *As a side note: "The Monstruo" is $140 (without taxes and fees). We were expecting each "The Beast" and Zip Line to be one-ride-only-drops, but to our surprise, Zip Line is a series of 8 trails (zip lines), which leads up to the final drop - "The Beast". In total, we spent over 4 hours hiking and flying down mountains. We initially expected to be at Toro Verde for not more than 1 hours. We delighted by the revelation that it's a half day event considering we only spent $70/person (a bargain). We highly recommend Toro Verde. The staff are great - they're friendly, helpful, and understanding. Also, they don't aggressively haggle for tips or financial support like other destinations. The instructors were amazing; they were funny, really took the time to talk to you before every drop and return. *As a side note -tips are welcomed but not mandatory. We tipped our instructors because we really enjoyed their company on the trails; they're very supportive and friendly. Enjoy this video & let us know what you think. Yelp
ADVISORY- read the negative reviews before booking as I made the mistake of not doing so. 5 days before our trip decided to book this event as it is known for being the largest zip line. They should be known for being the biggest scam instead. We booked the event 4 days after being in PR and saved this for the last 3 days of our trip totaling a week. We have walked freely on the island never being asked to show anything for vaccination or tests only to wear a mask and sanitize before entering. On 8-27-21 we received a text stating as of 8-26-21 that it is mandatory to show a negative test within 72 hours or vaccination cards to take part in our event which was on 8-28-21, we received nothing prior no email, call or prior text when trying to call to cancel and get a refund OF COURSE no one answered we tried multiple times over an hour period only to find out we have to text, funny same rhetoric as previous reviews. We had lost our cards in El Yunque and had nothing to prove our cards so only thing we could do was get a test done which was not possible a day before our event. After texting the line our representative they so called which is a non deserving title for this person who is suppose to represent this company such as one that is known for being the largest. You would think for such a reputation to uphold there customer service people would be much better. She was rude and unprofessional. I will attach photos of our text chain she herself even said they were late to send out there requirement they put out a day before our event and that a refund was not possible only after pleading that it was unfair for us to meet a requirement such as this in these times did she give us the information to receive a refund that would take a month. This whole thing is a scam reading how other people had issues with weather conditions or other problems out of there control and not being able to get a refund makes no sense for such a big attraction. Sounds to me they have a habit of after a certain amount of time they will rip people off of there money to benefit themself which is said especially during COVID.

Yelp
Once in a lifetime experience!! I have been to plenty of zip-lining locations worldwide but I have to say this is very unique. Home to el monstruo(the beast). This here has you going several thousand feet at speeds of 90+mph. Ps the photographer takes amazing shots!!

Yelp
Here's something I will admit... I'm scared of heights! Yes, I've done skydiving but, still afraid of heights. Just as that one time that I jumped off a plane, I pushed myself, to leave my fear behind and decided to go ziplining. I was with my sister in PR, and out of nowhere I said "I think I want to do ziplining". She looked at me in disbelief, but immediately started making plans with her friend, I think part of it was her wanting to do it too, and part of it, acting quickly before I lost my "courage". Still she kept looking at me, wondering if I'd really do it. She paid, and said, "there's no turning back..." with a smile and concern at the same time. We drove the 2.5 - 3 hours it took for us to get to Orocovis. Lots of up curvy roads, no signs... thank God for smart phones and GPS! We did not get lost at all. First of all, the view is amazing from up here. Take a moment before or after you do the lines to enjoy it. Once inside, they give you a waiver, you sign your life away. My sister's friend read it, the part I remember her saying is "basically you can't complaint or sue period, even if 3 months after this you're still having issues, pains, nightmare or trauma... nothing. I could only LOL, I mean, if I'm going ahead with these types of activities, the phrase "ignorance is bliss" always comes to mind. The less I know the less paranoid I get. So, I signed, I got my number and waited to get harnessed. Once you have all your equipment, they send you off a trail, where after 5 minutes (if it takes you longer "you got lost or are going to slow" their words, not mine) you will find your first line. Yes, I got nervous, and my sister gave me that disbelief look again but I stood my ground and stepped on the platform. Not defying her look but my fear. I can do this, I thought, especially when right in front of us was a 96 year old man, ready to jump off that platform. Courage don't fail me now, I thought... Would be very embarrassing to back down now. My turn, hands shaking a little, and listening real close to the instructions. Down that first line I went and the feeling was incredible! This was a short one so, great way to start and ease your way to the next 7 that await. The guys working the lines are really cool. They make you feel comfortable and safe. They make fun of you (nicely) if they see you nervous, helping you laugh and forget your fear. Plus, just like one of them said "none complain if they fall"... Ha! Ha! Very funny! Not! Line after line, they kept getting longer and harder to control. The wind started getting strong against us so, the challenge of getting to the end of each one, without having to pull yourself, was tougher but we were up for it and succeeded in most of them. On the ones that we got stuck, we still felt safe, and just pulled ourselves to the end. This is a workout! but, if you get too tired or can't make it, one of the guys will come get you and help. Towards the 8th and last line, there's a steep path you need to go up. Some, might have to skip this (due to health or physical impediments), and get off on the 6th line, but my sister and I went together and almost simultaneously did our last line. Funny thing, we both got stuck on this one. Even after the strenuous effort of working against the wind and pulling ourselves to the platform, we both were smiling and so happy we had this experience together. At the end we went back to where we started, to the restaurant upstairs. The service here is a little slow but friendly, and food is delicious. Plus, again, the view is priceless. This is, without a doubt, a must do in Puerto Rico.

Yelp
It was okay, I would recommend doing the two tours or the 8 ones instead of the beast. The beast is overrated by itself for the price. It's about a minute of your life for 80.00. The people were extremely nice. The empanadas in the restaurant were all dough no meat-don't bother. Overall it was fun, but only like 50.00 worth. See if you can get a deal. We drove, it was out of the way but easy to get to-no signage on the way so make sure you have a gps.

Yelp
Had a great time. I'm 78 years old and still managed to enjoy all the zip lines including the Monster. For older folks navigating and climbing the paths between the zip lines can be steep and tiring. Just take your time and use the guard cables for balance.

Yelp
This is a really fun time, our family enjoyed it. One note, if you are not from PR and visiting as a tourist, there is no transportation to the park. It take about an hour 15- hour and a half to get there from San Juan. It's pretty remote so taxi and Uber services do not operate out that far. There are some tour services that provide bus transportation if you book through them- that would be your best bet or renting a car. They are mountain roads going up to the park though so if you are not used to driving narrow mountain roads it may be a bit stressful.

Yelp
The Good Nice woman took my phone call at 4 yesterday and answered my mannnny questions over, easily, 15-20 minutes. I explained exactly what my situation and needs were given that 1 in our group (my youngest child) could not participate in the activity the rest of us wanted to participate in because he didn't meet the age and weight requirement. I very specifically said he would need to do an activity he could do by himself. She gave me the options available to us and we got it all booked. I set us up for a great day! Yay me, right? The guy at station #7 of 8 on Tour 1 today around 10:30am. Super nice, very helpful. The Bad and The Ugly We arrived promptly at 8:30 for our morning adventure. We go to check in at the front desk, which turns out is for people who just show up and purchase tickets as well as for those who bought their tickets in advance...so you're waiting for them to make their decisions when you're ready to go. Note: their website says you need to make a reservation in advance and can't just show up. The woman at the desk proceeds to inform me that my son can't do the activity they signed him up for on his own--he has to be with an adult. Oh. And..and...it's a TWO hour experience, not ONE hour like the nice (clueless, evidently) young woman on the phone yesterday said. So essentially what we needed, were signed up for and I paid for, was not really what they sold us. It would have been nice if we had known... So my older kids go off to do their one hour activity and my youngest and I go off to do what he can do. They tell us to go stand in this one line to get a wrist band. Then it turns out they pull us off that line and give us the wrist band elsewhere. They send us to get our equipment on. Does anyone walk us to where we need to go? Nope. We figure it out and once there, we have no idea if there is a line or what. We finally realize it's based on the number on your wrist band. Oh. Nice. Thanks for the intel. We get our equipment on and nobody says a thing about what's next. So I ask the guy where we go and he points in the general direction, so we walk over there. After waiting for 10 minutes, I go to the woman at the front desk and tell her we were told to wait at the front (?) and have been there for 10 minutes. Her male colleague says the group we were supposed to go with has left already. What? "But it's okay, you can still go." Oh, gee! Thanks! I would hope so, seeing as I just paid you guys over $300. We made the required hike to get to the first activity. The "stairs" are overcome with gravel that has eroded from higher ground, making them...let's seee....NOTsteps, and pretty treacherous. We catch up to our group and get a one-minute schpiel on how they're gonna Clío us on to this cable and fling us 600 feet in the air for 400 to 2000 feet. Eight or so times. Other than that super fast run through that was virtually impossible to understand, the only other person who talked to us intelligibly about dos and don'ts was the guy on platform 7 of Tour 1. Aside from him, the staff had nothing to say to anyone. I'm so glad we are here to have! Fun!!! Once we arrived at the end of the final run, some kid who might have been 12 removes some of our equipment and loosens other parts of it. We are standing there for 10 minutes wondering what's next. OH! A truck is coming to take us back to the main area! What? We need to take off our equipment? Good to know!! We found all of this out when someone went to ask the 12-year old what we were supposed to do. This place is nothing short of a total and complete Toro shit show. Uninformed staff, total lack of direction, complete failure to communicating with their guests, rude and unfriendly staff at every turn, and a 12-year old employee who couldn't be bothered. No wonder they have a strict no refund policy! If they offered refunds they would t make any money. My little boy and I returned to find my other kids had been waiting for an hour and a half. They were starving and dying of thirst. I told them I wasn't giving this facility one more penny of my money and we would grab something nearby. Yelp, do me a solid and let me give them zero stars. Ridiculous.

Yelp
We rode The Monster!!! We booked our zip a few days before (don't show up without a reservation, you may not be able to ride the zips you want) so when we showed up they got us ready right away! I was excited because it is a side by side zip line and my husband and I could experience it together but when we got there one line was down for maintenance. So we would have to fly solo. I got scared and freaked out and decided I was not going to go thru with it! The guide was so great and patient and encouraging and really helped calm me down and feel strong and brave and I decided to do it! I am so glad I did , it was a once in a lifetime experience and it was breathtaking! Be sure to leave early - it's 1.5 - 2 hrs from San Juan and a beautiful drive up a winding mountain (glad we had a Jeep for the drive up there)! It was AMAZING!

Yelp
Once in a life time experience Safe and professional. we did the 8 zip lines with the beast at the end. everything was very well kept and organized. The main building is very clean and well kept and the business itself is very well organized and properly maintained. The only thing that needed improvement were the workers. The workers all appeared to be in a bad mood and showed little enthusiasm at all. A little hype from them would have made it that much better. All in all this is the only zip line company in PR that I would recommend.

Yelp
We arrived at 11 (thank you Waze) on time to check in for our 11:30 appt. We are gringos, but live in Santurce (San Juan). This was our first visit but wont be the last. Fernando was an excellent guide with Luis (Luigi). Perfect weather, safe, fun, and wow! Views and Speed! Loved it and although athletic, the wife and are are almost 60. Did the 8 zip lines, plus the beast for Christmas Eve.

Yelp
Sorry to bust your bubble. This place may be fun but not organized. We had a 230 reservation and did not get called until pass 4 pm. Either they did not have enough people working or the groups were to big to handle. Once my sons were all harnessed up they were sent on their own to the first zipline. Fortunately my older son is 25 otherwise I would not have allowed my other son to go. It's is now 630 pm as of this writing and I'm still here waiting for my boys to get back.

Yelp
Conquered el Monstruo (The Monster)! Whoo hoo! The world's 3rd longest zip line did not disappoint. The drive to the area was very secluded with windy narrow, single lane roads as with most humid islands. I was just happy it was decently paved all the way to the lush, green, mountain top. The Zip line check in process was easy and quick. The waiting for the instructors took over an hour. Your entire wait depends on how many people are in the group who goes before you. The bigger the group, the longer the wait. Once you are strapped and ready to go. You embark on 70-90 ft of stairs! I can easily say it was at least 10 stories high! Each person descends facing parallel to the ground. You are half way swaddled and strapped in. It seems sketchy at first, but now you've invested way too much to back out, right? So once the instructor gives you the go and push, you zip at speeds of 70-95 mph depending on wind resistance and weight. I felt like I was going in the high 70s at first then it excelled to mid 80s then drops down to 60s for a good 20 seconds. The entire Zip was over a mile and change. Then you go on a second zip. The second zip scared me more because you are dangling sitting down but now you have to control the direction of the carabiner so that you don't sway out of control. BOO to thinking at high speeds and altitudes! Haha To top of my birthday ride, I had the Mango mojito and Shrimp Mofongo at the park's rooftop restaurant. Might I say both were the most delicious in all of Puerto Rico and probably the freshest, most mouth watering mango mojito of my life! Also, choose the white garlic sauce for the Mofongo. Mofongo is the national dish of Puerto Rico and consists of mashed up, seasoned plantains with a choice of sauce and protein. This incredible birthday meal and ride is one for the books. Oh yeah, forgot the names of the instructors but thanks for being so patient and fun, especially on the off road ride back to the office.
