⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great spot for Indian fast food! Visited Toronto Chaatwala recently and had a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly, very welcoming, and the food service was impressively fast. The place is clean, with a washroom available for customers, which is always a plus. There’s also plenty of parking nearby, and it's conveniently located close to the TTC subway. Highly recommended for anyone craving quick and tasty Indian snacks! Make sure to try the Indian Tea – it's a must!

We tried this during our trip to Toronto and loved the place. We were looking for some light snacks during the day after doing some touristy things in Toronto and stumbled upon this place. The food was great and service was wonderful! We tried the Mumbai sandwich, the Dahi Puri and the Vada Pav - love it all. Amit & the staff were very courteous. Highly recommend if you want authentic street side Indian food! Highly recommend the place & we will be back.

I was literally sick the next day ☹️ We drove 1 hour to this place after reading the reviews . We reached around 7:15pm for dinner . Most of their items were unavailable and he already charged us and then mentioned that the items are unavailable which was so unfair that in return we had to place the order forcefully. Vada was reheated and wasn’t fresh absolutely. Dahi puri taste was pathetic. We were so hungry after work and also driving 1 hour to his place we had no choice . We left and went somewhere else to finally eat some food. I will strongly not recommend this behaviour or this place for anyone. Please call and check. I am not sure how are they even surviving like this.

Came here for a work lunch and the food was incredible. Very fresh and the service was excellent. The tea was outstanding and reminded me of home. Coming back next week!

Reminded me home and mom’s chole bhature hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in downtown toronto, a small menu but everything is a banger! The service is amazing the lady is so kind in the front. This is the first Indian restaurant where it actually doesn’t smell like curry when you enter it but the aromatic incense that you feel so calm before the devouring food gets presented. I am not bluffing but the vada pav reminded me of the garden vada pav from Pune truly authentic and the samosa chat was so good!! I am going to visit them again for sure and try more things on the menu. Super affordable too!!

Casual eatery with good food. Chole batura was hot fluffy and good. Kulcha was not very good and looked like a flat bun. Service was fast and food was not expensive

I'm actually very disappointed. I order from Uber Eats. I've read all the good reviews and ordered. It took some time for to the driver to take the order apparently "as per the uber driver" the restaurant wasn't giving him the order and told him to wait. The vada pav's bun was very very soggy, sticky and cold tasteless. The lamb qeema pav was cold too. The bun wasn't fresh at all. The only thing that was hot it was the chai. I will not order here next time for sure. The packaging was very poor too.

The chaat items are fresh and very flavorful. The chicken samosa filling was a little dry but overall it was spicy and tangy which we liked. The chola batura had very less oil which we loved. highly recommend to try chola batura. The dining area is decent and has a nice ambience. During peak busy hours like evenings the waiting time is beyond 30min so better visit before. If you are craving authentic Indian street food like pani puri, this place offers a great spot for a quick real taste of india.

Yelp
I've only had their sugar cane juice as it was a hot day, so please take this review as incomplete for now. But, the juice was freshly made and very refreshing. Price was $6 plus tax for a small 12 ounce size. I love sugar cane juice so will be back. They also seem to have an extensive menu with Indian street foods and snacks. It is the same owners as the previous Indian restaurant here but they have rebranded with a new menu.

Yelp
The previous incarnation in this space was Maezo, who opened a week before Covid lock down but survived when so many family run business did not. The manager of Maezo has bought out his boss and created a restaurant closer to his own heart. Maezo was more fine dining, this is street food served with nostalgic fondness by a man with a big heart. He is the type of immigrant Toronto thrives on, dedicated, hard-working and motivated to make it on his own. I had a kurkure chaat, which are kind of like cheetos with masala sauces added. It was pleasant enough but one I would not have again, but the chole kulche, two small naan-like breads with a deep brown chickpea curry was filling and had a rich, satisfying after taste. This space is literally at my doorstep so I can see going back there again and again to try out different things from the menu. Mainly I appreciate the integrity and devotion of the new owner.
