We walked the canyon on June 23, 2025, with 6 people, without wet shoes, from Sa Calobra beach to the Escorca bus station. It was so dry that we ran out of water in the last two hours of the climb. A lot of water with us! We underestimated the situation. The route is quite ambiguous in places, we had to turn back sometimes, which was not always easy in the exposed terrain. The first 1.5 kilometers are scenic. Then you have to go around a huge rock on the right through the forest on a well-trodden path that cannot be climbed without a rope. Then the rocks get bigger and adrenaline-fueled bouldering begins on smooth steps. Climb with at least 2 people. Sometimes team support is needed when climbing. A fat person will not be able to climb some narrows passages! Good physical condition is necessary. We climbed up to the finish line for 5.5 hours. The monumentality of the gorge is very impressive. You are accompanied by goats, which is unforgettable!

5-hour hike through Torrent de Pareis from Escorca to Sa Calobra—challenging but worth it! Navigation was tricky, especially in the lower part, where we backtracked a couple of times. If you’re new to climbing, a guided tour is a smart move; the terrain is rugged but manageable with caution. The water crossings at the bottom were a highlight—likely seasonal, so expect wet feet and slippery rocks! Bring good shoes and a dry bag.

By far the most beautiful and at the same time most challenging gorge/riverbed tour of my life. The route from Escorca (parking lot) to the beach of Sa Calobra takes about 5-6 hours and includes many very difficult passages. You have wonderful views over the gorge and the natural surroundings. Sometimes you get very wet and muddy, which increases the adventure factor. You need a lot of stamina and courage and have to support each other to complete this tour successfully!!! Please always pay attention to the weather and avoid wet rainy days. Wet stones and slippery routes make this tour almost impossible without climbing equipment. Enjoy this very interesting tour but take care of yourself. -Tom

What an absolut hidden gem. From the crazy road you need to take to reach this destination, to the magical feeling when you arrive! It is absolutely with the trip and should be on your Mallorca Bucket list for sure! You can even take a hike into The Valley (only for experienced hikers) but you can also just sit there watching the mountain goats climbing the steep walls of The Valley. It was incredibly and we can absolutely recommend this place. Also with children… The restaurants in this little town have very bad reviews, so be aware and don’t expect to much.

Simply amazing, I had to be there in winter time so I wasn’t anybody else and not the best weather to swimmers but the view is absolutely breathtaking. The amount of stairs and small dark wet cavern path does not make easily accessible. It’s possible to take pets with you.

The canyon is quite impressive, you can hike for hours. A lot of opportunities for great photos. Beach pebbled, rather small, always some people in sight. Tunnel is also very nice, you can take some photos, but it is rather dark inside. Place definitely worth visiting. Parking is located in the Port and it is busy. Place seems to be less occupied during the week. Better avoid weekends. Must see in Mallorca.

This secluded and almost hidden beach is unlike any other that I have encountered before. As you make your way down the promenade towards the tunnel, stop off at the ice-cream shop for your favourite flavour before making your way through. There are a couple of stunning photographic opportunities, but as the tunnel is quite narrow, and very busy at times, you need to be quick and accurate to nail the perfect shot before the queue behind you builds up pretty quickly. At the end of a 10 minute walk you're treated to a quiet pebble beach, perfect for a picnic, and a canyon ideal for hiking or rock-climbing for the more adventurous. It's advisable to take decent footwear, as the pebbles makes anything less than a pair of trainers uncomfortable walking.
