Michelin’s Guide to Cooling Down in the City

"Now a landmark for tourists and locals alike, this boutique ice-cream parlour is easy to spot thanks to the queue of selfie-takers and menu-gazers outside, and there’s both eat-in and takeaway. If I’m lucky enough to snag a seat inside, I savor curated Thai desserts with unique flavours—think black sesame ice cream or corn milk—while soaking up the Peranakan and Portuguese-inspired interior; it’s a must-stop in Phuket Town and, frankly, worth a detour before hiding out in a beach villa for the weekend." - Niki Chatikavanij

5 best places to eat in Old Phuket Town - SilverKris

"A retro-inspired ice-cream boutique set among a pretty row of brightly coloured, restored shophouses on a street once known for its seedier past; everything is handmade from scratch and the shop offers unusual, delicious flavours such as lychee sorbet and durian." - Simon N. Ostheimer

Staff are very nice. I really like the inside the place whole decorations. We tried one of the most popular ice cream but the fruit inside wasn’t my fav. I love the I cream! Highly recommended ❤️

Living in North America, some of these flavors were so wild! So we obviously had to try everything that sounded novel and fun coming from a place that doesn't have these kinds of flavors (for anyone who hasn't been to North America, our "traditional" flavors aren't very exciting). Everything was amazing! My favorite was the pineapple ice cream with a fish paste on top! I never would have thought of it, but it makes a lot of sense! My fried Thai rice is amazing, why would it not be a good ice cream flavour?

Sundays in Old Town Phuket = Ice Cream + Market Magic!** Hit up *Torry’s Ice Cream* early before the best flavors vanish like your weekend plans. Local desserts turned into creamy scoops? Yes please. Market stroll + sweet treat = perfect Sunday combo. Go scoop it before it melts away

Ice cream was nice. The "mooncake" cookie was very nice. Place was crowded but we were lucky to get seat immediately. I won't give 5-star because there are many other ice creams I like more and willing to go back. Cheers.

Torry’s Ice Cream take traditional Thai desserts and uniquely reinterpret them: things like Bico Moi (black glutinous rice + coconut milk), A-pong (a coconut crepe), O’aew (a fig seed jelly) etc. They evoke familiar tastes in new form. The food presentation when served are instagrammable. Its quite an experience beautifully located in the Old Town of Phuket - photogenic area, and the shop is styled in a Sino-Portuguese / colonial / Peranakan aesthetic. Some icecreams are made of goat milk. The place has limited seating area which can be crowded at times. One may be unable to eat peacefully One gets to keep/brung home as souvenier the golden bowl they serve the icecream with. And they practice cleaning as the guests go, seggregating the wastes and plates. Portions are small, may be pricy for locals.

We happened to come across this place—and I'm glad we did. The ice cream is very tasty, and in my opinion, there are several very unique flavors. The staff is courteous and the service is fast. The design of the place is very special. Highly recommended!
