Tortas Ahogadas Atemajac

I’ve been going here for like two - three times per week for a few months now. It’s close to my office, very convenient. The food is amazing! Typically I get asada street tacos. Recently I started trying other items. And the Torta slaps! Tacos are just as good but friendlier on the wallet if I go there like 5 times a week. Overall I’m very satisfied. Noting extra. Simple ingredients that have proven themselves over the decades.

I love this place. Does anyone know why they are temporarily closed? Moving locations? I bring everyone from out of town here, the tortas are amazing. I would be so sad if they closed.

Such a gem of a restaurant. The service is great everyone was friendly! The Tacos De Barbacoa is absolutely to die for, the best fresh as soon as it’s order up. Take out I recommend just popping in the air fryer for 5 minutes. Horchata and Piña were also refreshing The tortas were amazing we ordered the beef and carnitas. Will most definitely be going back!

My friend is a food inspector for the place and this have 62 infringements in 2 years. Please is a mess and the prices are awful. Horchata sits in pre poured cups. Also a lady with a service animal walked in and they kicked her out. They didn’t care it was against the law. Awful place on the road no customers when you walk in.

Every time we go my family and I really enjoy the food. Especially the tortas so good.

Fast service and the food was delicious! I really like their horchata, it wasn't too sweet like some of the ones I had at other restaurants.

This is another great example of why you always have to be cautious using Yelp. This place came up in a recent search and I was shocked how a place so amazing was off my radar. I knew going in, this was either going to be great or garbage and unfortunately it was the latter. For a place that has been in business for a decade (which I didn't know ahead of time) to only have 60 reviews, it's clear traffic is low here. Also, some of these 5 star reviews are sketchy. I didn't trust reviews from people with less than 5 reviews, or people that aren't local with low review counts. Do you really want me to believe you flew into Seattle, stumbled on this place and then had the best meal of your life? First was the price. I had a burrito and soda and it was $22. At $17 the burrito alone was just as much as a combo meal from a full service restaurant. Based on the price, thought I would be working with a monster, but the burrito was no bigger than Chipotle burrito and not nearly as good. They used refried instead of whole beans and added watered down sour cream which really impacted the flavor. Service was friendly, but that is the only positive. Prices were unreasonable. Flavor was inexcusable and portion was regrettable. I ate less than half and had to force myself to eat that much. After spending so much cash, I felt obligated to force it down, until I realized I was punishing myself.

Best tacos & burritos I've had in WA. I've been looking for a new favorite spot to get tacos or burritos since we moved. This place did not disappoint. I've tried at least 5 other food trucks or taquerias in this area and this is the best! The carne asada was delicious! Our "to go" order was ready fast. The place was clean and inviting. We will definitely frequent this establishment.

The food at this place is pretty decent! Everything arrived fairly quickly and was quite tasty. However, I have to admit, the ambiance leaves much to be desired. The tables are awkwardly placed, and the overall atmosphere feels reminiscent of a fast-food joint, like sitting in a McDonald's. But hey, when the food is good, who cares about the surroundings, right? My husband and I ordered four different dishes, as we prefer to eat family-style. While I wasn't impressed with the torta and would probably skip it in the future, the tacos were absolutely great. Overall, despite the lack of ambiance, the tasty food makes it worth a visit. Not much to add to service as you order at the counter and then walk up to grab it.

Got the torta ahogada and tacos dorados plate. This plate was sooo good, so flavorful. The tomato sauce was tasteful but not spicy but they did have a spicy sauce on the side and that one was super spicy but really good. The customer service was great and the restaurant was clean. They have a front, street side entrance and a back, parking lot entrance - it's spacious and offers lots of seating. Will be coming back for sure!!

Just delicious. Everything I have tried on the menu has been fantastic. I come here whenever I'm in the area and it's a treat every time. Service is quick, workers are very friendly and pleasant.

My new favorite taco place. The food was delicious and the owner was very friendly. The first time I had the tacos de barbacoa and they were amazingly delicious. A little greasy but I didn't mind. They had this meat soup dipping sauce that was delicious too but messy and not necessary in my opinion. On our return trip I had the Lonche De Pierna, a sandwich, and it was amazing too. I want to try a lot more and I will, probably starting with the Torta...

We ordered a variety of street tacos. Camaron, adobada, pollo, barbacoa, chorizo. All good! Would definitely eat here again. We are not from the area, otherwise we'd definitely frequent this place more often! Even our kids who are somewhat picky eaters enjoyed the food.

Great food, good value, and lots of menu options. The servings are quite generous. Bring your appetite.

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of a hole-in-the-wall. I got the regular torta and wow... there are no words. A amazing torta done right. Crisp bread , juicy meat and with the sauce stuffed with all the essentials (Pickled onion , shredded lettuce, tomato sauce and limes ). There's about a million options available between the menu board and wall full of specials, , but you really can't go wrong. Not much else to say besides go see for yourself! You won't be disappointed

Authentic Jalisco's food! Tortas Ahogadas made it with crispy and fresh "Birote" French Baguette. Sopes are so delicious, Lonche de Pierna and Torta de Asada, definitely my Favorites. the staff is so friendly and Attentive. Prices are reasonable Best Mexican food in Renton area.

I was really excited to try them, we live in Tacoma but I was born and raised in Guadalajara Jalisco and I crave tortas ahogadas like crazy. My husband and I drove to their location and it was closed but you could see people eating inside. We tried their different doors and stood outside for a while knocking at one of them... The two employees were just staring at us for a while before they even come to the door and let us know that they didn't have more food. Not even an apology. This happened at 2:00pm on August 8th and I wasn't going to share my experience but I felt that I should let the owner know what happen and how the employees run his restaurant. Their hours are until 8:00pm so I couldn't understand why they wouldn't plan according to their hours, they are a restaurant and to run out of food 6 hours before closing sounds ridiculous. We were definitely disappointed and very upset at how rude the employees were, they ignored us for a while and they handled the situation poorly. Me quedé con muchas ganas de mi torta ahogada

I was able to stop by this food truck during a trip to Seattle and they did not disappoint. The tacos were really good! I got the torta ahogadas, which I can never find the authentic version as home. It was amazingly tasteful on a crunchy bread roll with the red sauce slathered all over. I can't wait to get back to Seattle!

To be totally honest it's a excellent place! The food is AMAZING especially the tejuino that I was a little worried about because there's not a lot of places that make them good but here it was excellent! The customer service is also very great especially the owner who is so friendly! It is also very fast like in 10 minutes the food was ready! I really recommend this place. You must try it

This place is so good! True authentic Mexican food. Owners are very sweet and welcoming very nice people! The food was so delicious the tacos Dorados were an absolute hit for me! Will most definitely make the drive again and come support this amazing people !

Best torta I've ever had! This food is so good! Stumbled upon it and am glad we did. Will definitely eat here again. Street tacos were also delicious. Very well done
