It was pretty good, I would say a solid 7.9/10 I think they were like $3 each not bad definitely taste authentic. The environment itself was a little sketchy. I would go back

One of my favorite places to eat on Buford Hwy! Food always tastes great and the restaurant is always clean. I recommend the flautas and the torta de asada.

Clean establishment. Vast menu. Friendly service. I got the guaraches de carne Asada. Gorditas the pollo. And a torta de Jamon. Solid restaurant. Solid meal. The final star is missing because this the menu vast. It is hard to keep track of on the service side. Two things that I ordered torta de tamal was no longer available. And the carnitas were non existent. Of the menu is to be vast. It is often hard to read and harder for decisions to be made. I suggest simply list the meats available and vessels in which they are to be delivered in to ones mouth. Tacos, burritos etc. Flavor was solid.experience was solid. Just don’t like taking 15 to order because the menu is spread over 5 screens and a chalk board.

Went here on a busy day and did not disappoint with anything,food and drinks were out faster than I thought the service was immaculate loved everything would definitively be back soon

Best tortas in town. Had their Egg, bean and ham as well as pollo tortas. Awesome combination of meat, fresh veggies. The taco is also great! Also, love the salsa and condiments bar. Can't go wrong with Tortas Factory!

So, this place came up as part of my google maps search, "tacos near me" when I was shopping around Buford Highway in Doraville. I went in, and found a pleasant, family friendly atmosphere. Nothing to write home about, but it looked clean. Right away, I noticed I was the only person in the room that was not Mexican. So, I pulled out my Spanish as I noticed that most all the menu was in Spanish(some English translations). When it was my turn to order, I spoke Spanglish to make my order. I mean the word taco is taco..no need to put an accent on it. lol I ordered 3 tacos. 1 taco de pollo(chicken)..and 2 tacos de carne asada(steak) to go. After about a 8 minute wait, my food was ready and I went out to my car to have a taste. Immediately, I noticed that there was no sauce or anything in the bag..just tacos and a small lime wedge wrapped in aluminum foil. I thought, well..I guess that lime is my sauce. 🤦🏽‍♀ So, I decided to squeeze the tiny lime wedge on my tacos. I tried the chicken first. The meat was tasty and seemed of good quality. The cilantro had no taste at all. Disappointing. It was at that moment, I knew I was not gonna love my dry tacos. I gave the carne asada taco a try..again, good meat..tasteless cilantro and onions. I know the taco would have been better if I could have magically made some sort of sauce appear..but there was no magic around me..lol..just a totally squeezed lil piece of lime. All in all, the food was just, okay. I think I will be going back to my trusty taco stand at the Plaza Fiesta food court nearby where I get the same tacos for 50¢ on Wednesdays. This place charged me $13 for 3 tacos and a large fountain drink. Never again. Oh and, the employees could have been a little more friendly. No smiles at all. This place can be better. There is parking..and a pretty big dining area. Family friendly.

The lengua tacos here were so on point. Very tender and tasty and topped with cilantro, onions, and that squeeze of lime is just too good. Also had their asada and al pastor. The restaurant is kept very clean and they have a topping and sauce station where you can add more to your tacos. Looking to come back to try more of their menu items!

Food- tried the Torta Del Valle and it was delivious. The bread is lightly crispy on the outside and it's well sauced. Service- people here are nice and helpful. Ambiance- place is clean and spacious. Has a lot of tables for sitting. Overall would recommend and will definitely come back to try more.

I have always been curious every time I've driven past Tortas Factory del DF on Buford Highway and we finally took the plunge! They were following the COVID social distancing suggestions pretty strictly at the end of July 2020, with glass (or plastic?) dividers at the register and blocked off tables to limit capacity. We ordered at the register before seating ourselves at an open table. We started off with a horchata, which was standard, nothing special, but not bad. Then we shared the nachos asada and the torta cubana. Nothing fancy but not the spot. Definitely a good spot for picking up those guilty pleasures for your munchies!

This is my go to restaurant especially I am craving Mexican food! I love the tortas and the fajitas and the queso is some of the best I've ever had. Top all this off with a horchata and you are good to go! I take all my friends and family here as I just can't get enough!

Crispy, solid tortas that don't crumble and collapse in your hands. Fast, quick service. They have got the sauces . The meat is perfect. the ratio of all the ingredients is excellent. It really puts an end to every craving in the most heavenly way. Shout out to the people in the back cooking it up.

I always get their papas con chorizo flautas and their pastor tacos w pineapples and cheese. The flautas are so crispy and delicious, the pastor is good as well. I always order it.

Tortas Factory del DF gets a solid four stars from me. This place has very good food, affordable prices, and quick, friendly service. These guys won Atlanta Magazine's Best of ATL award for Best Tortas in 2018, a well-deserved award. You can see the award displayed above the kitchen window. "Del DF" means "of the Distrito Federal" or "Federal District," which is a reference to Mexico City (what Mexico City used to be called). The food served here is Mexico City style. Tortas Factory is in a small corner strip on Buford Highway OTP, just up the road from Buford Highway Farmers Market. The restaurant opened right around the new year, 2018. The Mexican bakery Panaderia Del Valle, located in the same plaza, is owned by the same family. I think the family name is Del Valle. The bread for the tortas at Tortas Factory comes from Panaderia Del Valle. While tortas is in its name, this place serves way more than just tortas. They also serve tacos ($2.00-2.50 each), campesinas (corn tortilla with egg, beans, cheese, and sauce, $4.99), huaraches ($4.99 each), sopes ($4.50 each), gorditas ($4.50 each), quesadillas ($8.50 each), fajitas ($11.50 each), pambazos ($6.50 each), enchiladas ($8.50 each), flautas ($8.50 each), burritos ($8.50 each), nachos ($9.50 each), tostadas ($9.00 each), and entrees like pechuga de pollo asado (grilled chicken breast, $11.50) and chuleta de puerco (pork chop, $9.50). There are blackboard specials too. Tortas (Mexican sandwiches) are the specialty and they have 17 varieties on the regular menu (I saw two more on the specials board). They're priced at only $6.00 to $6.50 each. Beverage-wise, they offer the standard agua frescas like jamaica (hibiscus), horchata (cinnamon vanilla rice milk), and tamarindo (tamarind). A small group of us ordered several items and shared. Here's what we got: * Nachos carne asada ($9.50) - crema, frijoles refritos, queso, crema, tomate y jalapenos * Enchiladas pollo con mole (chicken with mole sauce, $8.50) - lechuga, queso fresco, crema, arroz * Torta Cubana ($6.50) - mayonesa, frijoles, salchicha, carne de puerco, huevo, chorizo, aguacate, tomate, jalapenos, queso fresco * Torta Mexicana (ground beef and ham, $6.00) - mayonesa, carne molida, jamon, frijoles, lechuga, tomate, cebolla, aguacate, queso, jalapenos * Pambazo papas con chorizo de puerco (potatoes with pork sausage, $6.50) - crema, lechuga, queso fresco I also got a medium-sized horchata for $2.50. They offered me free samples of the horchata, jamaica, and tamarindo. They all tasted pretty typical to me -- cold, sweet, and refreshing. Like other Mexican restaurants, they serve their agua frescas from those refrigerated drink mixing machines. My horchata had a little bit of a grainy consistency (not bad) and great flavor (some horchatas, the flavor can be off). Everything was very good. The star of the show was the pambazo papas con chorizo de puerco. The pambazo is pretty much like a torta, but made with a special type of bread (pambazo) that is burnt orange in color because the bread has been dipped and fried in a red pepper sauce (guajillo peppers). This makes the sandwich spicy. Tortas Factory offers two kinds of pambazos, one made with pork sausage and the other with grilled steak (carne asada). The pork sausage version was terrific; spicy, savory, and filling. The crema helps cut through the spiciness. This is the kind of sandwich that makes your mouth water. The other sandwiches were great too. I preferred the Cubana over the Mexicana, but would be happy with either one. The Cubana was stacked high with all sorts of ingredients, my favorites being the roast pork and sausage. The strips of queso fresco were delicious too. The avocado and tomato were fresh and overall, it was just a well-constructed, satisfying sandwich with quality ingredients. The Mexicana was interesting because it was like the torta version of a hamburger. Carne molida is ground beef and that's what you get here. Combined with melted cheese, beans, ham, and more, this is a hearty and gratifying sandwich. The nachos were fantastic. Nothing earth-shattering, just fresh ingredients (like the sandwiches). Real comfort food. The chips were nice and crispy and the pieces of steak were tender. There was a decent amount of both steak and avocado so I appreciated that. They don't skimp. If you like a good mole sauce, I recommend the enchiladas pollo con mole. Tortas Factory's mole sauce is one of the best I've tasted. It's rich, bold, and really appetizing. Generous portion size with lots of crema and queso fresco, which I like. One of my friends got the salsa verde (green sauce) version of the enchiladas and it looked equally as appetizing. Another friend got the flautas pollo (chicken) and really enjoyed them, so all of these seem to be good options if you want chicken. The small salsa bar has salsa roja and verde (red and green), lime wedges, guac, and a spicy habanero, jalapeno, onion mix. $3 credit card minimum.

They have a very extensive menu, and offer very authentic Mexican dishes such as sopes, huaraches, tortas, tacos and more. They also have a variety of Aguas Frescas, cakes, and flan. We ordered: -Agua de Jamaica, and Horchata ($2.50 each) - Sopes de Pollo ($4.50): lettuce, queso fresco, cream, salsa, and beans. - Flautas de Pollo($8.50): lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, queso fresco with rice and beans. - Torta de Carne Asada($6.50): grilled steak, mayo, chipotle, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, avocados, beans, and cheese. I never tried sopes before, so I was very excited. I know they're made with a different type of dough, and they were delicious. The flautas were great. So crispy and tasty. I didn't get to try the torta, but my boyfriend seemed to really enjoy that as well. Their chicken was very good, and seasoning was great. They also had a sauce station and all the sauces and veggies were so yummy. Very spicy though. I'm definitely coming back and getting tacoossss!!! When I came in, part of me felt ready to be let down. It didn't feel promising and I felt their menu was not as extensive as other torta places in the area. It was kind of empty and cold but I still placed my order to go, took it and went home. I have to remember, you really should not judge a book by its cover. The tortas were so so delicious! Probably one the best I've had. Their salsa bar was limited and so is the menu, but the stuff they have, they do it good! Would go back in a heartbeat and I really recommend you check it out.

Superb food. You will wait a little to get it-but that is because it's cooked fresh. Absolutely consider this place if you want Mexican in Atlanta

I don't see what the big deal is. We tried the chorizo & egg torta. The bread couldn't have been any fresher, but the filling was pretty flavorless. We also tried the carne asada and pastor tacos. Both were dry and tasteless. We had ordered chips & salsa. They rang it up and then told us that they don't have any salsa for chips. We told them that we didn't want it in that case, but they "couldn't" remove it from the bill (which we hadn't paid yet). So we ended up taking home the chips to eat.

With so many Mexican restaurants located right off Buford Highway, it's hard to say that this one stands out from all the rest. Similar to Las Tortas Locas, for example, this is a counter-serve Mexican spot with a self-serve condiment bar. The bar included limes, red salsa, green salsa, guacamole and pickled vegetables; Very small selection with barely any salsa left in the bowls (it was around 3PM on a Sunday). I will say, however, that this place is very clean. I ordered 2 carne asada sopes and a mexicana torta to-go ($11.77). The tortas was pretty good. The bread was soft with a slight crunch to it and included avocado, tomato, jalepeno, lettuce, onion, breaded beef, ham, queso, & mayonnaise. The sopes were bigger than I thought they would be; About the size of my palm! Although they were very generous with the toppings, I wasn't a fan of the base itself. It was very thick and slightly dry w/ a very doughy texture to it. Maybe it's just not my thing. Overall a decent spot for a quick fix if you're craving Mexican and are on this side of town.

I've had my fair share of Tortas (lol) this one by far has been my favorite! Mmmmm!!! The sand which is nice and soft and made very neat!! Delicious!!

This place has really good tortillas and burritos. Actually everything I've had here is really good it comes out in large portions and the prices are really reasonable. The inside is very large with a sauce and salad bar

This was our first visit. We came on a Tuesday evening, a little after 5pm. There was only one other person. They actually have a larger menu than I expected. Everything is made fresh to order. I had the chicken tacos. Delicious! Not too spicy either. The tacos are small and come Al a carte, so order more than one. The service was fantastic and quick. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Nothing spectacular here. It was clean. The tongue taco was pretty good. There are enough other places for tacos that are better. I did not get a chance to try Tortas. You can only eat so much. Carne asada was not great. Needed more seasoning. Small salsa bar was nice and cold but not as many choices.

I love this place! I end up coming way more than I want to. My favorite item is the Steak Huaraches & the Steak tacos! I love their red spicy sauce & the extra items they offer with every item (peppers, onions & limes). Check them out for quality Mexican food at great prices!

Was not sure what to expect on this my first visit. I came for lunch due to "BEST OF ATL" rating. Was surprised it was not very busy at all but was pleasantly surprised with offerings and overall cleanliness of place. Started out having 3 different tacos that were very good and tasty. I then tried a Torta /Carne Asada that was excellent, love the bread and the ingredients, very reasonable prices I might add. Will return when in area again.

The carne asada burrito is wonderful and you can't beat the price. The salsa bar is a nice addition. It's one of my go to places for an authentic burrito.

The best Torta Cubano in Atlanta GA hands down, Fast and Friendly staff food is A+ everything was on point very excellent service will be coming more often

We went here about a month ago right after they opened. It has a nice set up and convenient to where we live so we were hoping it would become "our new spot" but was sadly disappointing. The carne asada tacos are very small. You can eat one in less than two bites but the steak was tender. Their tortas are pitiful. For that to be their specialty, you barely get any meat and the bread is hard. The salsa bar is very small with about three salsas to choose from. There are other places who have way more delicious tortas who specialize in burritos and tacos. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Good quality Mexican food. The atmosphere is a little cold, too bright inside, but the food was good. One of the better Mexican restaurants I have been to on Buford Hwy.

Good food, prices reasonable and very friendly service. The lamb taco was really good. Beef Quesadilla was simple but good. Fajitas is the best deal by far, $7.50 for a whole plate!

I don't normally review a place based on one visit. However nobody else here has mentioned the quesadillas here and they are amazing! Not normally a quesadilla fan but after staring at the menu forever while three people went in front of me, I panicked when I finally did order and got a quesadilla with sausage (hot dogs) I was given the choice of flour or corn tortilla and went with corn since it seemed more authentic and I've never seen a corn quesadilla before. To my surprise, the tortilla itself was cooked to order. It was soooo good, hot fresh, gooey, filling. I'd try a different filling next time but the hot dogs gave the whole thing a cheesy corn dog vibe that was nice. Also got lamb barbacoa and pork pastor tacos. Both good, lots of meat but not mind blowing. The girlfriend got a carne asada Pambazo and a huaraches and enjoyed them. But the quesadilla is what will be bringing us back.

Me and my husband had been wanting to try this place. I ordered a torta cubana and my husband ordered a torta mexicana with a hurache de asada. Our order came out quickly but after I received our food I realized why. The meat from my torta (pastor) was old. It wasn't expired and didn't taste weird but I've eaten it plenty of times to know when it has been cooked earlier and reheated. The meat was tough. The milanesa from my husbands torta seemed like ground beef (milanesa is supposed to be thin) it literally looked like hamburger meat inside of a torta. Would not recommend this place to someone that likes authentic Mexican tortas. Cannot comment on the rest of the menu but not willing to try again.

Service was pretty bad. Not even a smile from the girl taking the order. Food was okay, the salsa saved the meal. I had asada tacos and the meat was dry and seasoning tasted pretty generic like Goya. Horchata was pretty bad also. With so many options on Buford Hwy, i would go elsewhere. On the plus side, the place is pretty clean.

First time going to tortas factory. It was very clean and pleasant. I ordered the fajitas and they were awesome! Kids had tortas( egg and chorizo ) and ( carne asada ) and even as picky as they are, they loved it. The red salsa was right on point and spicy just the way I like it. I will definitely be back.

I have visited Tortas Factories twice in one week. They are located in Doraville which is really close to my job. I have tried the sopes and tacos. The location is really clean and friendly. If you went when they first opened and they weren't your cup of tea I would strongly recommend giving them another try.

Nothing fancy, but very good and inexpensive. Good alternative if you need a Buford Highway "fix" and have had too much Bahn Mi.

Okay so Google had some mixed reviews. Yelp has dated reviews smh. I went last night and I actually enjoyed what I had very much. The name is Torta Factory so I decided I'd get a Torta, my girlfriend got one also because she's logical like me. I had the asada she had the Cubana. I don't think either of us had stopped to take a breath after our first bite. The salsa bar surprised me because the salsas were actually thick and tasty compared to more thin/runny tasteless variety I'm used to at these type of taquerias. The restaurant was very clean and customer service was good. Wouldn't say the best because I'm a Buford Hwy kid and know better, but it's definitely worth trying and frequenting for a quick fix if you're close by.

Solid torta. Had the carne asada. Lots of flavor. Clean place with counter service. Will be back.

It's very hard finding good authentic Mexican tacos in Buford Hwy. After seeing the great reviews I decided to give this restaurant a chance. From the moment that I walked in, yes it seems pretty empty at rush hour lunch time. They don't greet you until you approach the counter and let them know your order, to me this is beginning of everything when trying out a new restaurant. I saw the price for the tacos, $2.50 which is pretty high considering how small they are. I asked her for a container or something on which I can take some limes with me and she had no clue what to give me. As I was grabbing my salsa I noticed how someone ordered steak and they had a hard time bitting it off, no bueno. When I arrived at work I was anxious to try them out. I ordered 2 steak tacos which were very very plain, no flavor at all. The meat itself seemed liked old meat, did not have a good experience at all.

The food here is very good. The place is very clean and people who took our order were really nice and friendly. The food was given to us fairly quick. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for some good Mexican food to visit this place. It's very good Mexican City food. The price is also very good.
