"The Iztacalco outpost of Tortas Gigantes Sur 12 is right behind Mexico City’s airport, and their tortas could fuel a whole flight crew. True to its name, this spot doesn’t mess around. Their sandwiches are Godzilla-sized and big enough to cover multiple meals. The torta cubana is the way to go. Roasted pierna, jamón, milanesa, salchicha, and a triple cheese hit are crammed into a colossal telera that’s almost too big to handle. They're open and busy all day and night so food is always fresh! Many options to choose from when it comes to tacos. I had to try the eyeball taco and the brain 🧠 taco. I decided to try em kinda plain so that I could really taste the eyeball and brain but they provide many fixings to add and customize your tacos. Will definitely be back and I absolutely recommend trying out this place.

Excellent meals and attention. The place is clean, the food tastes very good. Big sized juices are around half a litre and taste very well, they also serve coffee. The tacos are nice and their selection is big, they also have barbecues and tortas. Sauces taste nice too. They are spicy for the foreigner but you should give them a try. Main drawback is they don't accept cards, so be prepared with cash. A dinner can reach 5 dollars per person including the drinks. I recommend this place among all the others nearby. Keep up the good work.

Good taste, and fair price. The great option to late dining if you come around. They still attend after midnight with option to dine in. The delivery use to forget all "extras", my personal recommendation is to attend directly. The best sauce option in my opinion is Guacamole, in combination with pineapple

For the first time ever in the place. I knew about it before. Saw a video in you tube . The torta is to much. Bigger than I thought barely eat half of it. I order the Cuban. The service is good , the attendants are very friendly and polite. For entrance they serve cucumber slices and some lemon slices: They have ambiental music I highly recommend this place.

As a kid going to Katz's in NY I felt the vibe of the Lower East Side and a honest offering of wonderful heart warming food. Tortas Gigantes Sur 12 reminds me of that experience, in Mexico City. My Driver introduced my Wife and I to a great experience- very modest, but delicious and full of great energy. The waiter we had could have come right out of the Katz's playbook, and the food - Tacos al Pastor.... with and with queso.. delicious. All served with pickled veggies on the table, sides of pineapple, onion..etc. Near Foro Sol and worth the visit! Don't forget a tamarindo jugo or mamey y agua de coco....
