I came here after church on a Sunday and got tacos with my friend. It was really really good. Was stood out the most was the customer service. Especially Henry! The staff is super friendly and the food comes out quick. Authentic Mexican restaurant if you’re looking for that. Seriously, the service was great staff constantly checks on you!! :)

Christacia D.

Google
Armando’s customer service is a 10/10. Provided all deals up front and talked through all menu items as it was my first time. The food was so good I will be back again for another visit!

Google
The tacos were incredible! Super authentic and nice server! Had the asada tacos and the beef tongue taco was super tender! Salsa was incredible as well. Highly recommend!

Google
Not to be mean but I would NOT recommend this place. It does not taste like authentic Mexican food at all! (coming from a Mexican). It is over salted, too much cumino. The rice was really sticky and tasted like dish soap. I am extremely confused by the reviews. It kinda tasted like some other cuisine, Indian or something, idk. The salsas were not spicy, and they were watery. It was such a disappointment. Why is there an omelette in the Torta?? And they have mustard on them too? I’m so confused idk what cooks they have but there is no way they are Mexican. Like literally no way, bc I’ve been to north, central, and southern Mexico and none of those regions add omelette and mustard to a torta.. gross Edit- If you look at the negative reviews about the food, they have Latino names, that says enough. I see the owner getting smart with negative reviewers, so I want to mention; I’ve also been to CDMX and never once saw a torta with egg or mustard… it’s not authentic food it’s niche to you’re neighborhood or probably your house/family…. You can have a Mexican restaurant without claiming authenticity.

Google
Every employee we interacted with was so friendly! (shoutout Armando!) The food was delicious and also came out at a decent time despite being busy. Taco Tuesday deal was $3/taco for all tacos, and I liked that they gave us sauce bottles for the table instead of pre portioned cups of salsa

Anytime of the day or night .. Taco heaven.. first had their food off the late night and was like hmmm.. this is too good . Now they are in my rotation of favorite spots to go to day or night.. a must try in the DMV area.. Henry was patience and made great recommendations.. tell him Jb sent you.

Google
Apparently this place is open 24 hours. Clearly by the look of the restaurant when I walked in to order. I waited 20 minutes to receive greasy, cold food. Additionally, the carne asada was crunchy and fatty pieces. The burritos was horrible and the birria was not a birria, it was a barely pressed taco with beef and no consume on the side. I am still in awe how GREASY the food was. Look at the bottom of the container! This is a real review that's why I shared my receipt. There is no way this restaurant has a true 4.5 rating...

Google
I came here under an excellent recommendation. Friendly cozy atmosphere as well as. This was my first visit and my first taste of Authentic Mexican cuisine. I Was not disappointed.

Yelp
AMAZING food, very helpful and friendly staff, and a really great ambiance. I have been here soo many times and every time is better than the last!

Yelp
I don't think any place does it better than this place. From the service, to the flavor. There is no match. The cashiers are always nice and quick. They move people in and out fast. The food comes out fast, even take out. They keep the place nice and tidy. The workers do a great job going around picking stuff up, replenishing items and grabbing anything you need. The food is inexpensive and DELICIOUS. I have had the carne asada tacos, chicken tacos, birria tacos...i have tried a torta, and their tres leches and all of it was flavorful. The meat is always tender and cooked perfectly. The tacos always come with a good portion of meat. You wont get skimped. Their sauces are great with the tacos. I love the sauteed onions they give you on top of the tacos. I always ask for shredded cheese on mine and they are perfect! I get flour tortillas too since i am not crazy about corn. I will never stop coming here.

Yelp
I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner and I'm honestly mad about it! Tortas Y Tacos La Chiquita is a 24-hour gem with an extensive, authentic menu with even more options once you step inside than what's listed online. We placed a pickup order over the phone and had a hard time deciding because everything sounded amazing. We ended up getting the quesadilla, which was way more loaded than your typical one; packed with veggies, avocado, and plenty of melted cheese. We also got the beef empanadas, and let me tell you... I'm not even sure what was in them exactly, but every bite was pure deliciousness. We couldn't skip the birria tacos, either; authentic and flavorful, served with cilantro, lime, and onions on the side. And for dessert, we had the churros, which were freshly made and came with a rich dulce de leche dipping sauce. Absolute perfection. The staff was friendly, the interior was vibrant and colorful, and when we went to pick up the food, the music was pumping and the vibe was just right. This is officially my new late-night go-to. I seriously plan on trying everything on the menu!

Yelp
his place is amazing! They catered my change of command ceremony on Fort Myer. They were initially a bit slow to respond, but everything was smooth once we got the ball rolling! I asked for 40 breakfast burritos (which they don't even have on the menu) individually packaged so people could grab and go and it was perfect! I got so many compliments on the food and 5 or so people asked where I got the food from because it was so delicious! Ricardo was amazing and so helpful! He worked with me to pick out ingredients for the burritos and decide what salsas we wanted on the sides. We will definitely be back! Support local!

Yelp
La Chiquita (formerly called Tortas y Tacos) continues to crank out delicious food that's worthy of 5 stars! This spot is consistently great, with well seasoned and authentic Mexican food. I recently tried some of their desserts, the churros and a slice of Tres Leches cake, I ended up coming back again the next day for both items! The prices are awesome and overall just happy to have this neighborhood gem near where I live!

Yelp
This place is authentic with phenomenal, delicious food and the best guacamole I have had. I am Mexican and this was on my list to try after hearing rave reviews from my Colombian friend. She ordered 3 tacos one shrimp and 2 carne mixta and was raving about it. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla - it came out hot with melted cheese, a good portion of shrimp and avocado. I didn't add any sauces (although there are plenty) bc it was perfectly seasoned. For dessert churros and mango slices. Amazing taste, good value and excellent customer service. Thank you!!! Plenty of seating, parking in the back and the decorations reminded me of my childhood days with nana who cooked Mexican food with much love. This is the place to go for Mexican food!! Enjoy!

Yelp
I don't have enough words to describe how amazing these tacos are. Truly I should begin by highlighting Armando - who is a GEM of a person usually manning the cash register and orders. PRO TIP ask for the Armando MIX when it comes to aguafrescas he makes a delicious blend! We have ordered SO many things off the menu already - have yet to be disappointed. My fave taco is a mix of TRIPA AND ASADA... they make an incredible crispy version if you want something new!
google avatar

Claire C.

Yelp
these were amazing! i still dream about these carne asada tacos and their quesadillas.
google avatar

Rony E.

Yelp
We went there for the first time coming from Jersey to VA. It's open 24/7 so that was perfect for us since we got here late. Authentic little spot that gets packed quick but it's worth it. The juices are homemade as well.
google avatar

Yelp
I was at work and wanted to order something for dinner in the area that was still open around 9:30 PM. Found tortas y tacos on uber eats so I went for it! I ordered 3 tacos but somehow ended up with 4 (not complaining!) really delicious and plenty of cilantro, lime and onions! It is a bit pricey in my opinion for a taco but a decent splurge once in awhile when you're really hungry doesn't bother me. My colleague also got the quesadilla and really enjoyed it. Would like to visit in person one day just to actually take a peak at the restaurant but I'm assuming it's pretty casual.

Yelp
I've ordered delivery from Tortas y Tacos La Chiquita several times. It's delicious fresh Mexican food that feels on the authentic side, hearty and straightforward. The tacos include generous amounts of protein--my favorite is the al pastor as the pork is well seasoned and the acidity from the pineapple balances the salty fatty pork. My favorite item overall is the chilaquiles because of the creamy sauces and softened tortilla chips! I have them add birria for extra, and they always add a substantial amount. Great flavors. The salsa verde and salsa roja are great with everything!
google avatar

Patricia O.

Yelp
Welcoming staff. The yuca was extra fresh, fried to perfection. The pupusas were also tasty. curtido was fresh too. Next time I want to try their sopa de res and horchata.
google avatar

Stacy D.

Yelp
I've ordered delivery from here so many times, just love the food. Most of the time I order lengua tacos and a few other ones, but lengua is my favorite. Tried their new burrito bowls with lengua: 1. it's a lot of food for about $15, it's easily 2 meals for me 2. lengua is always good 3. guacamole comes on the side in a little cup 4. the beans and rice and the salsa mixed too together is too salty 5. supposed to get lettuce but they forgot to add lettuce 6. the food is good but the presentation is not great. It would look better (and I would prefer) they kept the meat, rice, beans, salsa etc separate instead of mixed together Still love this restaurant

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place since a friend recommended it a while back but we never got the opportunity to try it even though they're open 24 hours. Anyway, I was wanting tacos and we were in the area, so the answer was easy. First off, parking at this location can be a challenge. I found a lot behind the building. I'm not sure if it's paid parking though. There is a Park Mobile kiosk near the lot that is set for street parking but it's wasn't clear to me if it included the lot as well. I paid for an hour and a half (45 cents) just to cover my bases. They have Birria Tacos, which if you know me, you know that those are my second favorite taco. So, of course I ordered those. They have a slight variation to theirs that I have never had before. Theirs is made with a crispy shell as opposed to the usual soft tortilla. They are a lot smaller than I was expecting, but perfectly sized for me. If you have a big appetite you might want to order a couple extra. I loved the crispy texture to these and the filling did not disappoint. Very good. We also ordered a pollo burrito that was outstanding as well. I of course had to get the Guava Jarrito and try their horchata. The restaurant was busy and clean.

Yelp
Well...my husband and I found our new addiction - uh oh!!! :D We are mostly obsessed with their tacos - flavorful, authentic - just delicious. I also LOVE getting a side of beans and rice with some chips, their black beans with cheese is wonderful! And my husband loves their horchata (which he is picky with). Part of why this place fuels our addiction is that it's open 24 hours. I don't want to say how many times we have picked up/had delivery at 1:00 AM and have been extremely pleased with ourselves, lol. But of course, we wouldn't just do that for anywhere - the quality also makes it worth it. As for the ambiance inside, it is cute and again, feels authentic. Seating can be limited depending on when you go, as can parking! Try this place out, you will not regret it!

Yelp
The Panaderia is great there. The tres leches cake is out of this world. It's expensive though... but it's worth it. They have the best Reno bolillos. I get milanesa patties to cook at home. The marinated carne asada is also outstanding, súper soft and tasty. Expensive too but oh well. A couple of carniceros are kind of rude but I found one who is super friendly so I just go to him. He's is the young one and very helpful, fast too. Tortas are awesome there. Cubanas, milanesas or just ham, they prepare them fresh with veggies and fresh cheese. My mother loves their chicharrones. Staff is friendly and efficient. Parking gets crazy but cars keep moving in and out. Try tge huge tostadas bag, they are tasty and crispy. They also carry queso de puerco. It's been years since I had a queso de puerco sándwich. I'll keep coming to the munchies. ¡Gracias!

Yelp
I was craving Mexican food and saw this place was very popular so decided to give it a try. My husband and I ordered: 2 tripa tacos, 1 asada quesadilla, and 1 birria taco. The tacos were pretty good, but the quesadillas were not what I was hoping for or expecting. I was surprised to see that there was mustard in both of the quesadillas, which I have never seen before in a quesadilla. The mustard overpowered the meat and the rest of the ingredients. I was quite disappointed especially because I think the prices are somewhat elevated for the portions they serve. I am not sure why this place is very popular, perhaps we ordered the wrong things and we should just stick to tacos. The tacos were also very small for the price. Overall was a poor experience. I think there are a lot of other great Mexican restaurants that are worth the visit.

Yelp
A friend and I went here later in the night and I really loved the burrito! There was a lot of mean and it was very tender, not too beany like some places make theirs. I got the mixed burrito, so it was a bit of everything! I ended up only being able to eat half, the other half saving for later! Id definitely give it a go! I have to check out their taco Tuesday deal next time!
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite tacos al pastor in northern Virginia. If I'm in DC, it's gotta be El Sol...but on this side of the bridge, La Chiquita takes care of me. Service is friendly, fast, and bilingual. Tables are turned over quickly. Happy music accompanies the immediate happiness that comes to you after eating tacos al pastor made right.
google avatar

Niranjana S.

Yelp
I feel like it's so hard to find good Mexican food in the DMV area and then I came across this gem. There was no shortage of vegetarian options which made it hard to choose what to get. In the end we got the huarache, sope, and tacos - all vegetarian. They were DELICIOUS!!! The tacos were my favorite, incredibly flavorful and when I finished eating I wanted more! The real star of the show was the sauces! The red sauce was so spicy but I still wanted a whole bottle of it. The restaurant wasn't too big but had enough seating space. Overall a great meal!!
google avatar

Joshua H.

Yelp
Extraordinarily delicious! I have been transported back to LA. Carne asada tacos are perfection. Will be back as often as I can . Thank you so much.
google avatar

Anushka M.

Yelp
Delicious tacos! The meat was marinated so well, and the toppings added to the side help prevent it from getting soggy. Shrimp quesadilla was good and a large portion. Easy to walk in and pickup online orders. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Zoya F.

Yelp
Friendly staff, DELICIOUS food, and hours that can't be beat--this location is open 24/7! I stopped by for breakfast after physical therapy, and was delighted by the Desayuno Typical. The avocado was so fresh, the eggs, cheese, and beans provided excellent vegetarian protein, and the plátanos were perfect. I'll be back soon to try lunch or dinner.
google avatar

Elaine G.

Yelp
For a late night taco on a cold night, I'm glad this place was open. Service was decent and the place was pretty busy! I enjoyed my carnitas taco. The green sauce i think is worth the trip. Add cotija cheese to the tacos. Skip the shrimp.
google avatar

Tasnia H.

Yelp
24/7 -how does it get any better than this Tacos are spectacular Always quick with sit in or delivery orders Inside of the restaurant can get busy and is always playing loud music, I love it because it reminds me of being back home in NYC!
google avatar

Sharmane G.

Yelp
Flavor is 5/5 and the salsa is addictive. But portion size is so small for the price it makes me want to cry. You could get double the food for same price at other places sadly. I got 5 tacos: carne asada, crispy cheese/Birria, lengua, pastor, and pollo. I also got the beans and chips on the side. The meats such as carne asada and pastor was so chopped it was like ground meat ...I was hoping for a chopped/chunky texture. But the crispy cheese birria taco was my favorite and hit the craving exactly! The soup was also so salty but in a good way. The beans were also so full of flavor and extremely smooth. If I could order again, I'd order lengua, pollo and crispy cheese/Birria! Another plus is it's open 24/7 so perfect for late night cravings . The inside seating is super casual and low-key.
google avatar

Skylar P.

Yelp
This is a great local spot, especially if you're looking for late-night eats. I usually go for the chicken taquitos at ungodly hours, and they're always solid. The food is good--not amazing--which is why I'd give it four stars, but the service is quick, and they're open late.
google avatar

Annie S.

Yelp
This has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat. The flavor of the tacos are sooo good and it is actually affordable. - affordable - quick - open 24/7 - amazing service and staff There isn't a ton of seating inside, so if you come at a busy hour you may have to grab to go.
google avatar

Isabella L.

Yelp
Decided to stop by while in Arlington area. There is a wide array of options to choose from and customer service was great as well. Overall, I thought the food was good, but portions are small for the price paid. Would come back again though! Birria tacos: 5/5 - recommend getting the consome on the side! Asada tacos: 3/5 - tasted kind of weird? Pastor tacos: 5/5 - these were my favorite! large chunks of pineapple, very flavorful. Chile Relleno: 3/5 - these were okay, not the best ones that I've had. The pepper felt raw and crunchy still.
google avatar

Kamille H.

Yelp
Great service, I had the best tacos ever and my boyfriend loved his tortas. I would definitely recommend this and will come back soon.
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
This is a Hall of Famer for me and I have been many times. This is my favorite burrito joint and my go-to late night spot as it's open 24 hours. I can't get enough. I have the burrito pescado (fish) each time with flan as my dessert and it's always perfect and surprisingly filling. Workers and diners are always friendly and we've been invited to join people's tables when it was busy. On the tables there are two sauces. The red one is slightly spicy, but a must on everything. Excuse me, I need to end this review and go grab a burrito.
google avatar

Zenia B.

Yelp
The food is great but the customer service is even better. I ordered a steak quesadilla and truly enjoyed everything about it. Although the quesadilla is sold a la carte and doesn't come with free chips and salsa like other Mexican restaurants I've visited, I wouldn't use that as a reason not to support this restaurant. The food and service make up for the cost. I highly recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Chandler D.

Yelp
Such delicious tacos and not expensive either. They are located right next to Arlington Cinema Drafthouse. They are also open 24/7. Their service is really good and our tacos came out within a reasonable amount of time while also making take out orders. It's not a big restaurant but there are tables inside for dine-in.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
I ordered steak tacos and steak pastor. Both were excellent and a lot of food for the price. Service was also fast and they call your number and bring the food to your table which is nice since it gets pretty packed in the store. There isn't really a lot of seating since the place is small, so if you have a large party you might want to consider what time you come. I'm always looking for late night places to go and since this place is 24 hours it definitely fits the bill.
google avatar

Justine B.

Yelp
Okay, their pozole (soup) is OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS. I'm addicted! The pozole alone gets my rating changed from a 3 to a 5! I've also been back sense and had the al pastor tacos (rather than quesadilla) and it's pretty good, as is the cuerito taco, albeit a bit greasy. Get the pozole. Thank me later.
google avatar

Analie M.

Yelp
First of all, it took me way to long to find a 24/7 taco spot. Now this is my go-to for late night. They have an incredible array of options. I love that they are vegetarian friendly. I can't speak for all the food, but I'll name all the food I've tried and liked; Chicken Quesadilla, Tortas, SOPES (the grilled onions on them, chefs kiss!), Pozole, Tacos de Al pastor, cheesecake, tres leches cake, atole de elote, all fire! I can see how people don't like the portions for the tacos, but it does come loaded with meat. The tortillas are street taco size, a classic in Mexico. I especially love coming here because the customer service is top tier. This place gets loaded and somehow they always manage to take great care of us. Always have a great playlist, lots of tables. This is the SPOT for those late nights after a rumba if you ask me
google avatar

Alan L.

Yelp
Searching Reddit and yelp for a taco spot in the area, this place was recommended by a lot of people. Had high expectations coming in, but was let down pretty quickly once the food arrived. The restaurant itself was pretty busy at 9pm and generally that's a great sign. Ordered 3 tacos (Lengua, asada, and Birria) and an Al pastor burrito. Out of the 3 tacos the lengua tasted great! And the others I would say mediocre at best. The birria taco had a literal taco shell that broke apart like a tortilla chip. Usually birria tacos are more crunchy, but this one was definitely in the realm of a hard taco. The burrito tasted fine, but didn't have that authentic ness that I was expecting. The red and green sauce were pretty good though. Portion, Portion, Portion. Just as everyone else has mentioned the portions of everything was tiny. Based on the price you pay, you could probably go down the street and get at least 1.5x or double than what you get here. Customer service is really nice and they bring out your food quickly. The place is clean and have workers constantly cleaning tables which is a huge plus with the amount of people that walk in and out the door. I think the only time I would come back here is if I was in the area extremely late at night and wanted Hispanic food, but other than that I would steer elsewhere as you'll probably need to spend a lot more to get even close to full.
google avatar

Pam I.

Yelp
Little hole in the wall spot for Mexican food. It's open 247. The parking is plentiful but not directly close to bldg. the food is excellent. It's always packed. Check it out if you're in the Arlington area.
google avatar

Kathy C.

Yelp
Overall a negative experience. We came here on sunday for lunch after craving birria tacos. Parking was somewhat of a pain. When we finally got there, the restaurant had extremely loud music playing at levels normally heard at a night club or bar. We got the pescado taco, crispy cheesy birria tacos and the asada quesadilla. Although the fish taco was served on a broken plate (you can see in the pic where the dish had yellowed where it broke off, gross!), the taco was pretty tasty and was actually the best part of the meal. Not sure why they keep broken plates to serve to customers though. We also asked for cups of water and they gave us tap water which was fine. However, there was dust floating on top of the water when we received them. The "crispy" cheesy birria tacos were extremely soggy on one side. It was like a wet taco and all of them were like that. Looking at the photo afterwards, there was water on the plate before they put tacos down. Really disappointing as this was the only reason we came. The steak quesadilla was decent and kind of tasted like a philly cheesesteak. For $27, this experience was not worth. Will continue the search for birria tacos elsewhere.

Yelp
I loved the tacos only , The tortas are okay i I ordered a torta days ago and the avocado Was really bad Testing and Arruinado no servia el aguacate!!! y aun asi lo pusieron
google avatar

Maria K.

Yelp
Great spot for authentic tacos. I keep coming back for the al pastor and birria tacos. They're open 24/7 which makes it a popular late night spot as well. Casual space inside, order at the counter and they call out your number.
google avatar

Rohit R.

Yelp
Tortas Y Tacos La Chiquita impressed with its flavorful Chorizo, Al Pastor, and Birria tacos, with the Al Pastor being my favorite out of the 3. There were ketchup and mustard condiment bottles on the tables which luckily my friend tried out to discover the salsas. The salsas added the perfect zing to each bite. I'm looking forward to coming back to trying out the other great sounding items on the menu!
google avatar

Keyin L.

Yelp
We have only ordered delivery from here but this is a really solid taco place. The selection is great and the price is also pretty reasonable. The burritos are also quite good.
google avatar

Aaron S.

Yelp
Yep, this is it. Finally found it. These are the best tacos in Virginia. As much as I have enjoyed the journey and ill continue looking, I can rest now cause this is it. This was my first time having birria tacos so I low key felt biased, but after trying birria tacos at other places, this is still my no 1. And they're open 24-7?! Let me set the scene for you. Imagine a taco, with shredded beef and pico de gallo in it. Take that, roll that bad boy in some cheese then fry it till It's crispy. TILL ITS CRISPY. Like the cheese on pizza, or lasagna, or mac n cheese when you get the crispy corner...BUT A TACO. and then you dip it into the birria soup!!!!! Dont want to take my word for it? Go and look at all of the other 5 star reviews. Then go treat yourself.
google avatar

Carolene M.

Yelp
Best Mexican food I've had! I got a birria taco and an el pastor taco. Both were great. I also got steak nachos. It was huge and a meal in its self. So, so good! Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. It's counter ordering and they bring the food to your table. We've had it to go as well. The restaurant is just a small little place. So worth the visit.
google avatar

Wilton P.

Yelp
This is absolutely the best, authentic, Mexican food in the area. Hands down. Don't hesitate to try anything on their menu. You won't be disappointed.

Daryn D.

Yelp
Literally the best tacos, highly recommend. But you gotta come in to get them. Don't order out, doesn't do it justice
google avatar

Lynn P.

Yelp
One of my go-to places, and bonus, they are open 24 hours, so perfect for great late night eats. We regularly order their chicken flautas, beef flautas, and cheese stuffed jalapeños. We have tried many of their tacos to include Lengua, pollo, Chorizo, Pastor, and of course their Birria tacos. Make sure if you order Birria that you order consomé to dip them in as this does not come with the Birria tacos. All of them are delicious! Consumé has an amazing flavor, so don't let it go to waste once you're done dipping your tacos, it is a great soup! The pozole is super tasty as well. We have tried the empanadas in the past, but they weren't our favorite. Highly recommend the flautas and tacos though.
google avatar

Laura H.

Yelp
The tacos here are the best I've ever had!! Every taco was packed with amazing flavor and texture there wasn't a taco that I hated. The shrimp taco is one my favorite the shrimp is so soft but so flavorful when you bite into it. Every taco comes with so much meat and toppings. I also got the beef tongue which came with so much meat, avocados, and sour cream but it was a little too salty. The service was really kind they came to check if the food was fine and came out quickly. I would 100% be coming back here again!
