Inside Tortazo, Rick Bayless’s new Mexican spot inside Willis Tower - Eater Chicago

"There’s a lot of star power behind Tortazo, the new Mexican restaurant opening Wednesday inside the Willis Tower. It’s a partnership between Chicago chef Rick Bayless and Jollibee, the Filipino fast-food chain. They intend to open many locations across the country, building on the success Bayless has built with Tortas Frontera — an oasis for travelers flying through O’Hare International Airport." - Ashok Selvam

We ordered our food from the vending kiosk machine and were pleasantly surprised with a $10 discount—thank you for that! The sandwich was delicious, and the juice tasted fresh with no preservative-laden sauces. All the ingredients seemed organic and of great quality. We truly enjoyed it. Also, the vending machine was turned off right after our order. Thanks again!!!!

I saw the line was long and food looked good so stopped by and got the Beef Quesabirria Torta and was highly disappointed! The beef was spread on the torta very thinly and didn’t fully cover the torta, flavor was unable to be found because of all the onions. While I do enjoy red onions, there was extremely too many. Almost more onions than meat. I had to take them off because the only flavor was straight onion. For $20 this is not worth it. I did get the cucumber lime drink and that was delicious! Also, if this is Birria why should we have to pay for the dipping sauce. It wasn’t until I walked to my gate I realized I didn’t get any sauce, looked at the menu and it’s an addition cost. As much as this torta cost it should have been included. Waste of money. Edit: I got really bad heartburn after eating this.

Google
Decent tortas, the steak was well-cooked and the avocados were fresh. The salsa verde was a little too salty but I still ate it to swallow down the tortas/chips. The service was amazing, the cashier and waitress were phenomenal and accommodated my needs! Great service, decent food; a good option while inside the Sears Tower.

Google
The chicken milanesa torta was a nice spin on the classic Mexican torta. The salsa was flavorful and not too spicy. The churros were great. Very crispy exterior and soft interior with the right amount of cinnamon sugar on the outside. I was apprehensive to try the eggplant milanesa torta as I’m not the biggest fan of vegetarian alternatives but it was bursting with flavor, and we ended up going a second time. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the drink, but my boyfriend enjoyed it. It may be more of an acquired taste. The service was quick and the staff very friendly. They have more of a modern vibe, and the atmosphere was okay considering it is a quick spot in Willis Tower.

Google
The food a little salty, the staff for picking up your order forgets the name of the person. Prices are economical. A lot of places to sit and eat , bring napkins they only give you one and no spoon for the salsa

Google
Ordered take out, food was so good, nicely packed. First time ordering and my husband wants to order again today (ha, ha). Tortas were phenomenal, like that I can modify online. Crunchy peanut salad was good and the margaritas, chefs kiss!

Google
Food was good, but I was honestly surprised they don’t offer refills for my drink (unsweetened iced tea). When I asked why, they said it’s because they make their drinks from scratch 😂 — but come on, every restaurant does that!

Google
On a whim got the steak torta. It was moist, flavorful and delish, plus the green salsa was wonderfully spiced with lots of cilantro. Atmosphere is ok, it can get busy and feels like a slightly elevated mall crowd. But food was good so that’s what counts. With tax it was $19 so a bit on the pricier side, sandwich Was not huge, but decent size.

Yelp
I visited Tortazo at Willis Tower before my 6:30 pm Skydeck reservation, arriving at the restaurant around 5:35 pm. I was a bit worried about timing, but my server, Julian, was incredibly helpful. When I asked how long the food would take, he said 5 to 10 minutes--just enough time to enjoy a meal without rushing. I had a few questions about the menu--specifically the VG and V labels--and Julian clearly explained that VG means vegetarian and V means vegan. That cleared things up and helped me choose quickly. He placed the order right away. My phone was about to die, and when I asked if I could charge it, Julian pointed out a set of outlets under the bar. Thanks to that, I was able to charge from 20% to 80%, which let me take beautiful photos at the Skydeck. Another server, Terry, also made me feel welcome by bringing water as soon as I sat down. The whole team was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Tortazo to anyone visiting the Skydeck--especially vegans or vegetarians looking for a quick, tasty bite beforehand. Great service, thoughtful staff, and a very convenient location!

Yelp
I recently had a Galentine's brunch at Tortazo and it did not disappoint at all. I stopped by here with my bestie last month. We decided to share Baja chicken tacos and roasted mushroom quesadillas. Super flavorful and perfectly satisfying. I was especially impressed with the veggie quesadillas. It was filled with veggies and so tasty, definitely not your average bland quesadillas. The overall vibe was basic, low key, lively but also a bit loud, very food hall vibes but the staff were really warm and sweet. They gave us roses which made our day. Honestly for a Rick Bayless place, it lived up to the expectation for food standards and was super affordable. I recommend this if you're in Chicago and looking for good food, decent service but still chill vibes!

Yelp
Rick Bayless is a Chicago institution, and the Willis tower is lucky to have his shop , Tortazo , where you can get some delicious Mexican inspired sandwiches. I can't remember if this is the exact same thing that he has in Ohare. I'm really more at a 3.5 star and here's why . 4 star- Ambiance and quality of food is pretty good. Love the fact that they are able to carve up a little restaurant right in Willis tower. The Carne Asada is delicious ! And they get you your food fresh and quickly and it has all the signature Bayless quality .service is great and friendly . 3 star- the price . I do understand the price of quality of food, and the cost of prime real estate, but their meat tortas are all priced at around $20 without any sort of side, so it's not cheap. Personally while I really liked the food, I would much rather spend that amount at other Bayless restaurants like XOCO. #mexican #torta #lunch

Yelp
The chicken and bacon quesadilla was flavorful but the sauce was definitely different from other dishes in the south. The staff allowed us to taste a variety of drinks which were helpful. The location gave the perfect view to either be discreet or people watch.

Yelp
Located on the 1st floor food court, inside Willis Tower (formally the Sears Tower) on S. Wacker Dr. and W. Jackson Blvd. This is a counter-serve eatery inspired by Mexican food from Chef Rick Bayless. You can either order at the kiosk or with the cashier and find an open table. We were on a 'Foodie Tour', and this was a stop for dessert. We had their 'Almost Naked Churro', which is a fried dough pastry covered with cinnamon and sugar. It tasted pretty good, almost as good as the churros I've had in Mexico. Service was friendly and efficient. I would like to return and try other menu items.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Rick Bayless and stumbled about this restaurant as I was leaving the SkyDeck! The menu was missing something that stood out to me. It took me forever to decide but I eventually landed on the steak rajas quesadilla and a Mexican Coke. My flight was in a few hours and I knew I'd eat dinner on the plane plus peruse the United lounge so I wasn't trying to do too much. The service was pretty friendly. My quesadilla was served hot but could have used more cheese. Came with steak, jack cheese, poblanos and a green salsa. The coke hit the spot too. If I worked nearby, I'd see what else Rick had going on even though it's a little pricy, $20 before tax. It's located in a food court so overall the place is kinda loud. But there wasn't much crowd when I dined at Tortazo, it had thinned out as I was debating what to order.

Yelp
Omg I love the food from Tortazo! I usually just grab and go as this is a small restaurant at Willis Tower. The potato poblano flautas are my absolute favorite. Crunchy on the outside with yummy filling on the inside, they come with a side of guac. The eggplant milanesa is also great, but sometimes they might add a bit too much of the pickled jalapeños and onions and make the sandwich sour. The service is fast and the staff is not super friendly but not rude. The menu is not very extensive and the vegetarian options are limited, but I am more than happy with the options they have.

Yelp
Very pleased with our lunch today. My team had a day of work planned in the building and we ordered a variety of items. Everyone was pleased with their items. Carne Asada tacos, carnitas, torta, beans and plantains. Would definitely eat here again in my next visit.
google avatar

Veronica S. G.

Yelp
Got the crispy chicken Milanesa torta and carne asada torta. It was pretty good. I preferred the chiken torta.
google avatar

Angel A.

Yelp
Very solid lunch option over in the Sears Tower. Stopped in today for my first time and there is absolutely no question that this will make its way into my regular lunch rotation. The food was excellent and the staff complimented a quality meal. I went with the Quesadilla de Asada con Rajas (steak with roasted peppers) which I would highly recommend. I gave 'em 4 but they're closer to 4.5 stars. Check this spot out.

Yelp
This place is a HARD 1 Star. I paid $29 for a Fanta and a Barbacoa "Torta". (Of course 22% tip was included because I'm not a jerk. And the service was top tier). My distaste for this place is directed 1000% toward Mr. Bayless and the sandwich itself. The bread was fine, the meat - fine, the salsa -ok. A TORTA this was not. It was a FLACA at best. It was a little bit bigger than a McBurger. Charging 17.50 for that sando is a hate crime.

Megan H.

Yelp
Great food. Attentive and patient staff. Seating area to either side makes you feel like you are in your own slowed down space, instead of in the main hustle and bustle of Willis tower.
google avatar

Rohit G.

Yelp
Came here for a casual lunch before going up to the Skydeck. The place was pretty busy on a weekday lunch but they took our order at the front immediately. The food took about 10 min. I ordered the crispy chicken milanesa and I thought it was okay, sort of like a normal crispy chicken sandwich. I didn't think it was particularly special or flavorful, but for a quick meal it definitely got the job done. The chicken patty was a good size too for the price. Overall a good casual lunch spot, especially for being located inside Willis tower.

Yelp
Came to ricks place on my way to interactive museum which was great I do recommend. I ordered the steak Rojas quesadilla and some churros. Let me tell you I was not expecting anything to be that good because since I've been in Chicago, I haven't really technically tasted anything that was exceptional, but I was wanting to give it a chance and I'm glad that I did Rick Bayless restaurant is the real deal. In my opinion. I am happy that I stopped here. It put my beliefs. Back into Chicago has good food. The Carnitas tasted. excellent they were flavorful cooked to the right temperature. I was very surprised. I also ordered a steak Rojas quesadilla which was also very good. I also ordered some churros which I love churros and they were very good. The surface was very good. She had a hard time trying to order the Carnitas because I didn't want a taco. I just wanted to taste ricks Carnitas, but we got through it and everything worked out. I was very happy to go to this restaurant is the best one I've been to since I've been in Chicago and I've been here since Sunday. Thank you.

Anna W.

Yelp
Flavors were very good but the meal overall was disappointing. Probably one of the most expensive tortas I've ever purchased and the chicken was cold. Kinda confused on why that would happen. Update: I called the store to talk share with them that I received cold chicken. The only plausible explanation could be that it was not cooked for long enough to reach a proper internal temperature. Manager over the PHONE gaslighted me and told me "that's done. It's not cold" completely invalidate my experience. I wouldn't recommend spending money there
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
Waste of money. Food tastes like one thing: chipotle. Great if you like that flavor but if you don't then skip this establishment. Husband ordered a chicken sandwich and only ate it because it would have been a waste of money otherwise. Our 9yo daughter could barely eat her quesadilla because the flavor was so bad. Staff wouldn't even exchange it for some tortilla chips when we showed them the basically untouched meal. Had to leave here and go purchase a second lunch for her.
google avatar

Angie S.

Yelp
We were visiting the Sky Deck in Willis Tower and decided to get some lunch in the lobby. Tortazo had a great menu so we decided to give them a try. I ordered the Chipotle-Roasted Chicken bowl. Our food came out super fast so everything was hot and tasty. In addition to the chicken my bowl had avocado, poblano rajas, cotija cheese, black beans, tortilla strips, chipotle salsa and cilantro crema. It was very, very good. I thought I'd miss having rice in the bowl but I didn't miss it one bit. The flavors of the chicken and the salsa were amazing. My friend went back up and ordered an extra side of chicken. They actually forgot to bring it out to her so they gave us an order of cinnamon sugar churros for free. They were seriously one of the best churros I've ever had. I even had someone on the street ask me what they were because they smelled so delicious. Wish we had one in South Florida. There were several other menu items I'd love to try.

Yelp
On 2/14/25 I got food poisoning. I ordered a Cubano sandwich and after one bite the taste was awful. I tried a second bite and it was the same. I threw away sandwich. Fifteen minutes after taking two bites diarrhea kicked in. I'm 69 years old and was the worst tasting sandwich ever.
google avatar

Luis L.

Yelp
This is my receipt. The CHICKEN CHILAQUILES order was correct, but the chips and salsa was probably a crew members lunch to take home. I threw that away. I reached out for a refund for that item and been over a week without hearing anything back. Super job Rick Bayless!
google avatar

Maggie A.

Yelp
Good here is flavorful, but don't think you get the bag for your buck. Ordered the chipotle chicken bowl and added avocado. Total came out to $17 before tip. Bowl consists of beans, some arugula, 2 or 3 peppers/onions, chicken & avocado - I finished eating it and was hungry after. I have heard Tortas are the at to go here in terms of flavor & being more filling, but not sure I'd get the bowl again given the lack of substance for the price.
google avatar

Caleb J.

Yelp
Went here during lunch with another coworker who recommended. I had one of the best quesadillas I've had in a long time. The servers are very friendly and know the menu extremely well. I was recommended to try the guacamole which turned out fantastic. The salsas that come with your food make a wonderful addition. The green salsa was my favorite with the red being an added spice that was nice to mix with the guacamole. Highly recommend dining in, as the restaurant has an open concept with great music.
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
I've tried the chorizo/egg/cheese and the carne asada tortas. Also black beans, and horchata. It's one of those Loop lunch spots that I don't mind spending a little extra $$$ and calories on. Fast friendly service, easy kiosk ordering, plentiful seating. Get there before the 12:05 rush.
google avatar

Yelp
Great lunch today downtown at the Willis Tower food court. Order easily online and my order was ready when I arrived. Cool clean environment and friendly helpful staff. I had the Crispy Chicken Milanese and some Guacamole. Both were flavorful and well prepared. Great spot!
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
I visited this place on a food tour. This was part of the food court in the Willis tower. They served tortas and soups along with numerous Mexican options. They also served breakfast too. I had the Chile relleno flautas. There were 3 to an order and they contained jack and cotija cheese, spicy peppers and potatoes that were rolled in crispy corn tortillas with pickled Napa slaw and avocado tomatillo salsa. These were good. The slaw and salsa really enhanced the flautas overall. There could have been a little more filing present. They did have a nice spice flavor from the peppers. Will I go back? Perhaps.

Yelp
Tortas tortas and more From chef Rick Bayless Well, I ordered the chicken milaneza torta diet coke and 2 churros Cash less only card Was pretty good the torta come whit litle green salsa I switch for habanero salsa soooo good
google avatar

Kate W.

Yelp
My friend and I needed a quick dinner downtown and Tortazo was one of the only places still open in Willis Tower. The menu was fairly limited, so I went with the cauliflower sandwich. The line was slow moving, but they had a kiosk where you could order to-go, so I placed my order there. It took a while to get my sandwich, but once it was ready, it was worth the wait. The combination of flavors and textures really worked and I love the salsa pairing. A sandwich and canned soda set me back about $17, so this isn't somewhere I would come often, but I'm glad I stopped in and tried it!
google avatar

Sherwin C.

Yelp
Good for a quick bite while working or visiting the Willis tower, I have mixed feelings about the food at Tortazo. For me, the sandwiches are generally well constructed and smell great, but I find that the seasoning level and cooking quality can vary at times. While the food is generally high quality and the ingredients fresh, I think that items at this price level should be consistently good also considering the smaller portion size.
google avatar

Mayra R.

Yelp
I was craving Mexican food and have been wanting to try Tortazo as I've heard it's great and have purchased their salsa at the grocery store. Tortazo was delicious! I ordered an eggplant torta, it was so crunchy, flavorful and generous! Loved it! This is my favorite restaurant in the food court. I also ordered chips and guacamole as my side. I ended up with leftovers that I ate for dinner. I will definitely return on a day when I'm very hungry.
google avatar

Ryan D.

Yelp
My office in Willis Tower catered Tortazo for an event. I was excited to try Tortazo for the first time. Rick Bayless has a great reputation in Chicago and have wanted to try some of his food for some time. When we got the food it was no longer warm, but that is not Tortazo's fault. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese, torta. I liked how the flavor in the sandwich came from the ingredients and the way they were cooked, not from excessive sauces, spices, and flavorings. The individual parts were of superior quality and well cooked. The sampling that I got was enough to make me want to visit their restaurant and see what their cooks can create fresh. Tortazo was a crowd pleaser and is of good enough quality to recommend for catering for your next event.
google avatar

Liz O.

Yelp
I order from here quite often and I have only had one bad experience. Today I ordered the El Tortazo salad with carne asada and it didn't disappoint. It was delicious and ample in size. Generous portion of carne asada. I haven't eaten at the restaurant but it delivers well.
google avatar

Krista C.

Yelp
Located inside of the Willis tower AKA the Sears tower is Tortazo, a Mexican inspired restaurant by Rick Bayless. The menu features different kinds of tortas, bowls, and quesdillas. We ordered a chicken bacon quesdilla and Cubana torta. My main take away.. it was eh,the pork lion on the Cubana was very fatty and the quesdilla was o.k. I think I just expected more from a Rick Bayless place. The restaurant is closes at 7 and stopped taking orders prior to that. Unfortunately there aren't too many choices for food in the general area so this is probably one of the better choices when visiting the Sears tower.
google avatar

Randy C.

Yelp
Stopped in after visiting the color factory and wasn't disappointed at all. As a matter of fact, as I'm typing this review I'm wanting to go back there today. The hostess was very sweet with giving recommendations on food to order. We settled on the Cubans, chicken milanesa torta, corn chowder, and steak quesadilla. Every dish we had was amazing! The corn chowder was super fresh but loved that it had large pieces of peppers and veggies on it. The chicken torta...amazing!!!! The mix in it with the layer of black beans is so delicious. Didn't taste the Cubans but from my husbands reaction you could tell it was good. Only bummer is the entrees don't come with anything other than the entree itself. Would've loved some chips/salsa to come with the tortas. You can order them separately though. Steak quesadilla was a hit as well.
google avatar

Gerardo C.

Yelp
Service was fast and employees polite. However, the meat on the torta (carnitas) was extremely salty. I know they could have had a bad batch, but better things are expected from a torta shop at Willis.

CJ V.

Yelp
Cool vibe, great setting (I'm loving the food hall trend) Sandwich was ok - a bit sparse on the chicken But the potato-poblano flautas were amazing! Also loved the friend plantains!
google avatar

Nizel A.

Yelp
Chill place that is moderately busy. Ordered a chicken milanesa. Didn't expect much, but got hit with a $21 bill. The milanesa tasted like a fantastically zesty cordon bleu. Breading is perfectly fried to a golden brown and coleslaw is gently placed on top. I was genuinely impressed which doesn't happen too often, especially when it comes to famous chef chains. It's a small area similar to the size you'll find in airports and they have a bar as well.
google avatar

Samuel Hall H.

Yelp
The best place to eat by far at Willis Tower. You go in expecting an alright meal and get an amazing one. Great food all round except maybe the chicken I saw one review saying the chicken was bad so idk. Service is incredibly fast like 4 minutes to get everything. The ambience is alright it is pretty decent for a restaurant in a food court. Anyways the place to go in Willis Towers.
google avatar

Hanine C.

Yelp
I look forward to my in-office days so that I can eat here. My favorite thing is the potato poblano flautas they are insanely delicious and I dream about them. I like all their drinks, especially the citrus basil. The staff is very friendly and overall good vibe.
google avatar

Carmen G.

Yelp
The food is so fresh and the place is clean. The Chimichurri is my favorite! Doordash delivers far too!

Yelp
When you think of Mexican cuisine and Chicago, you automatically think Rick Bayless. When you think of Chicago, the Sears Tower is the first thing that crosses my mind. And now you have Rick Bayless joint in the Sears Tower. It doesn't get anymore Chicago than this. My only complaint is that he has Tortas Frontera at O'Hare and he also served Tortas at Frontera Fresco before he closed them to serve more Tortas at Tortazo. And he has similar Tortas at Xoco. At the end of the day, I guess you can't really ever go wrong with Tortas. We arrived right before their lunch rush and I'm so glad we did. While we were waiting for our Tortas, a huge line started to develop that would of had us waiting for days. The dining area is actually very spacious. A bigger space than their old Frontera Fresco location at Old Orchard. As soon as you enter, the hostess will give assign your a table and then have you proceed to the counter to order your food. You then take your seat and wait for your food to be taken to your table. We ordered their lime agua fresca. It was delicious and very sour. My wife ordered their Crispy Chicken Milanesa Torta. This Torta is so damn good. You get a perfectly thick crispy chichen breast, cilantro crema, avocado-tomatillo salsa, cotija cheese and black bean spread. I ordered their Pork Pibil Torta. I've had this plenty of times already and it amazes me how consistent this Torta is everywhere I go. A slow cooked achiote braised pork, pickled red onions, black bean spread and my most favorite part of this Torta, their fiery roasted habanero salsa. This thing is extremely spicy and it will probably ruin your Torta if you put the whole thing in there. A little bit here and there will component this dish perfectly. Can't wait to come back and try a few of their other dishes.

Yelp
Love this place! Was lucky to get to go to their soft opening test for lunch. This is located in the Willis tower building. Super easy to find and SO cute inside! Has a bunch of seating and large enough tables for groups of 6. Their menu looks amazing and I can't wait to come back to try more. The place itself smells so good. It has an open kitchen which is really cool and you can see from almost every angle! NO CASH. Only credit cards, etc. For takeout: You order at the register give them your initial and phone number and they text you when your order is ready. I ordered the Cuban, chips and guac and black tea. 10/5 for Cuban SOOOO yummy 5/5 for chips and guac, very fresh 5/5 for black tea tas They also have a full bar! So would be a great place for apps and happy hour drinks. Definitely will be back again to try the churros, service was great and staff was helpful happy and quick!

Yelp
I really can't understand why this place doesn't have better reviews. Visiting the Sky Deck in Willis Tower and decided to get some lunch while in the building. They have a ton of restaurant concepts on the main floor and healthy Mexican sounded like a win that day. I ordered one of their salads with some very specific restrictions of things I couldn't eat and they were happy to accommodate. The food came out very quickly and was delicious. Even for a salad, the chick that was served was hot and I could tell they prepared everything fresh to order. I also ordered an additional side of chicken but I think they must have forgotten about it. The staff was very apologetic and once they realized the situation made me a side hot and fresh. The really nice part was they gave us an order of churros for free. Sadly I couldn't eat them but my friend did and said they were amazing! I really enjoyed this experience and hope they expand this restaurant concept because the food was incredibly fresh and super flavorful. Definitely recommend a stop in if you're in the area or visiting the Sky Deck.

Yelp
Came here for lunch after a meeting in January that was at an office down the street. We had to walk a bit further than we hoped (it was so cold) so we were a bit annoyed with the colleague that suggested we come here until we got our food, which was amazing. I had the Cochinita pabil and the broth. Warning that the side of habanero sauce is very hot. More of a food court vibe which was surprising considering how good it was
google avatar

Nichole A.

Yelp
On a cold day, soup is perfect. Came to the food hall and had to try this place. The soup was amazing. Perfectly warm and packed with intense flavor. I would've gotten a second one except that we had dinner reservations somewhere else. The soup was delicious and hit the spot perfectly after a day of sight seeing. Jam packed with flavor. Corn and peppers were delicious. Dying to have some more. Bring this to Miami for me!!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
I ordered a carry out and got the milanesa torta, steak quesadilla, and the lime agua fresca. The torta was fine but the quesadilla was soggy. Overall, it was ok, but I prefer the options at Xoco for quick serve.

Yelp
Love this Rick Bayless spot in the Willis Tower! The tortas (sandwiches) are on point and drinks are great! Super friendly service and relaxing urban hall food court atmosphere. Enjoy your meal while you admire some beautiful building architecture!

Yelp
Another rick restaurant out of the river north area. Was excited to try because I'm a big fan of the other locations. This place was very similar to xoxo and the place at ohare Airport. Reliable and delicious. I was hoping that there would be some new choices. There was a couple, and the guy i went with tried one. I had my favorite cubano, which you will never go wrong. He had the salad with fried eggplant. He enjoyed it but was hoping for a seafood protein. There is nothing bad on the menu and this place in another of the tried and true access to RBs food.

Yelp
I love the Cubano Torta. It's so great to have food from one of Chicago's favorite chefs right here in the Willis Tower. For years, this chef has been my favorites for out-of-town guests, so it's great to have this option right in the Willis Tower, with a dining area and kitchen so there's less waiting for a table and my meal. Their torta is one of my favorite foods in Chicago, and I love the friendly and efficient staff at this location.

Yelp
I'm not really into soups or salads but I'm leaving a review for both. That is how good this food is! Do yourself a favor and order the tortazo salad with crispy chicken. It is phenomenal - and it feels like a real meal. A lot of times when I have salad I always need something else - a main dish. But this is bursting with flavor and textures, the dressing is light and delicious. The crispy chicken is juicy and crunchy at the same time. The tortilla soup is a pleasure to eat. The broth is delicious and they add the perfect amount of melted cheese and avocado throughout. It's not overwhelming but you also don't feel skimped. I always get takeout and the online ordering tool is great. Surprisingly there is always street parking by Sears Tower to run in, grab from the shelf, and run out. Rick Bayless does it again! This is truly my favorite salad and soup in chicago.

Yelp
As a huge Rick Bayless fan, I was sadly disappointed in the Chorizo Breakfast Torta. Portions are huge, so no complaints there. But it was messy, greasy, and oversalted. I wasn't impressed with the roll either, which was dry and flavorless. Prices seem high for what it is. That said, service was outstanding and I've always enjoyed the Chicken Milanesa Torta, so maybe breakfast tortas just aren't for me.
