"This no-fuss corner spot run by two brothers is an over 50-year-old Roma staple, and we have their Cubana Especial to thank for that. It’s a hefty sandwich brimming with pierna, pollo, milanesa, jamón, queso amarillo, and melted queso oaxaca, and the usual accoutrements that won’t crush you, but will definitely leave you feeling complete. Ordering it with half a liter agua de sandia is essential. Everyone feels like family here, so expect the staff to call you “güero” whether you’re blonde or not while asking you how spicy you’d like your torta." - Guillaume Guevara

Everything about this place was great. We came here every morning for our breakfasts. Small size banana smoothie is not small size, in fact it is a litre. Everything on the menu was delicious. The staff were friendly. This place shows no tolerance to any type of discrimination which makes it preferable. The atmosphere is gorgeous with the plants around. The prices were extremely good. Toasties were amazing and so filling. They offered a delicious bowl of complimentary pickled vegetables every time we visited. Thanks for a great experience. - January 2025

Sandwiches and the bread particularly are excellent in this friendly l, unassuming spot. Ate here twice and took sandwiches to the airport to eat before flying home. Enormous orange and grapefruit juice was lovely Highly Recommended.

We had a Torta Mexicana that was absolutely delicious. Regular size serving. Good price and very fast and friendly service. Highly recommend it. They take credit cards and the french fries were pretty good.

My favourite place for breakfast every time we stay in the area xand itnhsd been for so many year's now. Nice guys running the place, friendly and good tortas. Never good bye when we leave, but a cheery "a mañana". And indeed. We'll be back!

I’m a fan of traditional tortas and this place didn’t disappoint, the bread soft and crunchy in the right way, the meat and cheese options top tier. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. We stopped by because of the great ratings, little did we know how much fun we would have chatting to the most charismatic owner/chef. He was so nice and explained the menu extremely well, you can tell he cares about his customers. Oh yeah, the tortas were also really delicious! And affordable.

Excellent torteria since 1974, of course it’s good. I got their classic, the Norteña, with pierna in adobo & cheese. My wife had a suiza with ham, cheese & chorizo. Both were delicious. I also had a coffee, which was quite good. Smoothies are also available. Highly recommended!

My favorite torta I have had to date. The bread was amazing, and the rest of the sandwich was perfectly executed with fresh, quality ingredients. I had the Cubana. I would eat here weekly if I lived in Mexico City.

Best tortas in Mexico City! You may be able to find others that are bigger and less traditional, but non made with such love and dedication as these. The owners love what they do and you can tell by the food. The aguas frescas are made on the spot and delicious! You won't regret it! Such an amazing, family owned place, that makes you feel like you're home.

Staying in Roma this place was a quick walk from our hotel. And we're so happy it was! It was one of our firsts tastes of Mexico City and it was amazing! Happy, friendly faces and the tortas were delicious!
