London Restaurant Recommendations for the Weekend | Eater London

"A Westfield outpost of a Soho taqueria doing reliable Mexican staples — light baja fish tacos with crisp battered haddock and pickled cabbage slaw, smoky al pastor with pineapple, bright elote and a dense chocolate tres leches cake topped with toasted marshmallows — with frozen margaritas that lift the shopping-centre experience." - James Hansen

Tortilla at Westfield London is okay but nothing special. The burritos have way too much rice and not enough flavor to make them tasty. The service is super fast though they make your food right in front of you in like one to three minutes. Prices are fair but I wish the food was more exciting. It’s edible but forgettable."

Staff were polite, everything clean and initially well presented, however, so much juice from salsa that food ended up soggy by the time we sat to eat. In addition to that, about 3 toppings I was offered were all an additional £1 each, so we declined. All I recall is “that’ll be an extra £1” being repeated! Will not eat here again, cannot recommend the tacos!

Actually it was surprisingly good quality. I did try a real Mexican food in America so I know the difference. Stuff was friendly and attentive, he even allowed me to add ingredients by my choice. Quesadilla I ordered was great, juicy enough but not falling apart. I recommend!

Had such a great experience at Tortilla London. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was amazing. Huge thanks to afsana , tiago, Himani, nayan and manju for being so friendly, helpful, and making the visit extra special. Can’t wait to come back

Another Amazing Mexican Meal – This Time at Westfield After enjoying a delightful Mexican lunch in Southampton, I couldn’t resist the temptation to have another Mexican meal—this time at Westfield. Among the variety of restaurants, this one stood out with its unique concept of letting you choose your ingredients directly from the counter to create your perfect wrap or bowl. For this meal, I chose a wrap filled with rice, black beans, meat, lettuce, salad, and hot sauce. While the sauce wasn’t very spicy, the combination was still excellent, especially when paired with a Corona beer—it was a perfect match. One of my friends ordered a similar wrap, and we were both very pleased with our meals. We were three in total. My other friends opted for a vegetarian wrap and a bowl meal. Once again, everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. It’s hard not to appreciate the simplicity and quality of this experience. If you’re looking for a casual, customizable, and satisfying Mexican meal, this is the place to try. Whether for lunch or dinner, it’s a great choice and will definitely leave you wanting more!

Google
First and last time ordering, I was recommend here by work colleagues, ordered a salad bowl and found loads of small bones in it presuming from the chicken I hope! But still bones in a salad, glad I didn't break a tooth and definitely not worth the price of them.

Yelp
This restaurant is located inside the Westfield Mall. My husband was hungry for PHO Soup, and I decided on this restaurant, which is like Chipotle. I ordered a bowl with shredded beef, pinto and black beans, rice, sour cream, cheese and salsa. The restaurant seems pretty popular, with a long line the entire time I was eating. The food was quite good, and was reasonably priced. My dinner was less than 10 £. I have attached menu

Yelp
Not Chipotle. ‍ It is missing flavor, maybe an authentic Mexican Salsa would make it bomb. Tortilla ADD SOME CILANTRO it makes a world difference..

Yelp
If you're walking around Westfield and you're hungry, Tortilla is a fast and cheap place to get some good food in your tummy. Burrito and Naked Burrito prices are decent. £5 (med) and £6 (large). They put it all together in front of you with your choice of toppings. I'm a big fan of the grilled chicken naked burrito! As it's part of the food court, there are plenty of tables around on the weekday. Weekends, you may have to fight off a few vultures.

Yelp
Tried the naked bowl with Steak and pork carnitas. The steak was so tough I couldn't eat most of it. The pork carnitas tasted salty and watery, not that tender sizzling real pork carnitas. Salsas sucked big time. Won't be eating here ever again. Doesn't even come close to Chipotle's at all. Don't let the signage fool you. Avoid this place.

Yelp
Ok so basically I love all of these conveyor belt burrito places and I was so hungry when I reached Tortilla I nearly cried. They have few little differences from competitors - two types of rice, mixing beans and vegetables is a more explicit option (although actually is always an option - just ask), they are slightly cheaper and I think the burrito might be slightly larger. The pork filling tasted good. Service not as cheery as Chilango, which was sad, especially when it also involved me being told I could only have two salsas - I don't understand the rationale of this. Couldn't you just give me a bit less of the other two so it evens out cost wise? Is there actually a cost to this at all. No. Anyway, it's quick, is satisfying, and then you can go enjoy people watching while you messily eat it.

Yelp
I ordered tres soft tacos and nachos for my mother in Westfield Shepherds Bush. The employee was not wearing any gloves and staring heating the tortilla shells with her bare hands. Her nails were also very long and she was touching it with her nails. She also took a bunch of nacho chips with her hands without gloves. This is very unsanitary during a pandemic. I did not confront her about it because me and my mother did not want to be rude. Please advise all you staff to wear clothes. Thank you.

Yelp
Everytime I go to Tortilla I recall my first ever visit. They'd just opened their debut branch in Angel and I went into raptures, thinking it was a Chipotle copy (well before they opened here). I even met Brandon, the founder, and had a good chat about how this was an MBA project for him (much like Chipotle with whom he'd had correspondence). Anyways, what makes me sad is that every subsequent visit has shown a drop in quality. It used to be that I would take bad or mediocre Mexican food in London above other cuisines. Not anymore - I'd still happily pay double to get fresher food, better service and happier guac-dolloping at Chipotle. Sorry folks x
