Tortilleria La Mexicana

Overall not the worst place I’ve been to but also definitely not the best. Service was fine, our server was not unkind nor did we feel we weren’t attended. Very standard, greet the table, ask for food and occasional check in, nothing above or beyond to note. As for food the rice was dry but the beans were good. The sope was the best item we ate out of the items we got but that was after we added salsa and salt. Food lacked flavor for what is typical with Mexican Food. In short this is not like the worst mexican food we’ve ever had there’s definitely actual offensive places in the greater orlando area. They’re also pretty cheap compared to other places so you are kind of getting what you payed for. The knowledge of how to make it is there nada mas que no tienen mano.

The food is amazing, but the service from some of the waiters is horrible. They are very rude. When you ask questions about the items on the menu, they answer like if you’re stupid. When I ordered a burrito She asked me what meat I want in it. So I asked what options they had and she responded with a tongue pop and saying the same ones we always have. When you sit inside the restaurant, there’s barely any space to move around. If they were kinder and had more space to move around when you’re dining in, I will definitely be visiting this place more.

That was my first time trying mexican food. I went there asking the Lady about what to order because it is my first time. She requiered Burritos. But from the menue i chose a guacamole. She was very nice. They serve me the entry which was a lot. I enjoy the MICHELADA but i did not like the taste. The guacamole was perfect. Then came my burritos that i could just taste because i was already full. I really want to do mexican again!!!!

Their food is not delicious it tastes like it has been prepared for weeks. It tasted really dry And it was quite pricy. Won’t be going back to eat but I do like their sweet bread if you go right after they open you can ask to choose from the warm bread in the back. I definitely love their aguas frescas and ice cream the best I’ve ever had!

I wanted to order a to go order, I walked in to the establishment and no one ever acknowledged me. Finally I was able to flagged down a server and I was told to place my order with the cashier only to be asked what I needed with a full on attitude! When I finally got my order I'm sad to say the food was disappointing. My tripa taco tasted like oil and looked like the burnt leftovers from a hamburger grill lol and my caldo de res tasted more like a Vietnamese Pho.

Their GELATINA DE LECHE was right off the bat expired you could smell as soon as you open the lid, there is no date saying when it was made. The restaurant seemed empty while we were waiting to order and nobody was attending us. The agua frescas are actually tho and pan is decent as well.

Easy to order over the phone !! Tamales de puero ( pork tamales ) were amazing and for only 8/9 bucks you get two and a side of rice and beans !! Def will be ordering again

A friend discribed this as a very Mexican restuarant and he was right. They have a small dining room that was a little warm. TVs with all hispanic programming and a music box with lots of Mexican music. The food was good and the service was great. Their hot sauce was really hot but had a nice flavor, not hot just to be hot. They also had a mild which was also very good. The food was plated well and was fresh and hot. Rice had vegs added which gave a nice texture and taste. Refried beans....well they are what they are. Was a good experience and we will go back.

The Tres Leches cake is unbelievable! If nothing else, stop in and get some to go. Will go back to try other items. Friendly service as well.
