The food is delicious! This is my go-to when we have company over. I usually buy meat by the pound, warm tortillas, and chips and salsa. You can taste the freshness. The staff is kind too.

This place is wonderful. Everything is homemade, fresh, you can really tell this is a family owned restaurant. Reasonable prices, LARGE portions, they do not skimp you! Guy behind the counter was super friendly. It’s not a sit down restaurant, so don’t expect that- although the right half of the business is under construction. I’m excited to see what they do. My family will be customers for years to come!

This is not a dine in place . It’s a store where you can order food. We did get a few things to go. I could barely get thru one taco! Horrible taste well no taste. Dry beans & no taste rice. Food in the bins had some rotten tomatoes…. Do NOT RECOMMEND

Google was misleading because this is by no means a restaurant. It’s a grocery store with a take out option. They don’t have inside dining at all. Either way, we ordered anyway because we were in a hurry. Three tacos and a quesadilla were $25. We got in the car to eat and took one bite and threw the rest out. I wanted to go back in for a refund, my boyfriend said no. So here we are now on google instead.

This place has the best homemade tortillas! We stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed everything. Barbacoa and carnitas were my favorites, and they have some really good salsas too. Reminds me of taco trucks in CA and Mexico! We'll be back, for sure.

This place always over charges on all there stuff. Plus they charge 2.00 extra on all meats and vegetables. Now I went again and ordered the very same thing I get all the time grilled chicken chimichanga and they brought me shredded instead and I tried to get them to make it right and they didn’t so I told them I didn’t want it to take it off my bill and when I got up there to pay they didn’t take it off and said if I didn’t pay for it they will call the police. So I just went on and paid for it. But this place has very bad customer service. Shalom shalom!!!

On a visit to NC, I had the good fortune to stop in and delight in the !El pastor here!! It is primo bellisimo! Peppy pineapple flavor and with a nice kick. So tasty and perfect texture. Friendly staff, great prices. Yum City!! > > > > Enjoy it if you live nearby!! Once I returned to NY after my NC visit, I realized Tortilleria Y Taqueria Leon is special. Their el pastor quesadilla has such brilliant flavor which they don't drown in yucky tasteless queso/cheese like they do here up north. Instead, they put just the right combo of cheese to meat. Yowza!!

Best tacos I’ve had since I left California 15 years ago. The fresh tortillas really make them top notch, but they are delicious in every way.

I've been Searching for great Mexican food, since moving to NC from California 3 years ago. Well this is it! Delicious food with homemade tortillas. Loved their salsa, rice beans, chips and chicken flautas. I'll be back to order meat by the pound for my next party

The wife and I found this place kind of by accident. Being new to town, I searched on my phone for tacos and GPS brought me here. It's kind of a small Spanish convenience store and not what I expected. The tacos were incredibly good, and VERY authentic. I had the asada, pollo, and barbacoa tacos and they were all delicious. It reminds me of a food truck without wheels. The kind where you get those awesome street tacos. We've been back three times already.

I happened to stumble upon this place by accident on a cold rainy afternoon. Since I hadn't had lunch, I thought "why not?" and decided to give this place a try. I'm so glad I took that chance because now it means I finally found a place that sold authentic Mexican style street tacos in Angier, NC. Just as it states in the name, this establishment specializes in tacos and tortillas, however it also serves as a small Mexican market, carrying various spices, candy, condiments, beverages, and some fresh produce. In addition to the usual taco meats (e.g. chorizo, asada, carnitas, al pastor, etc...), they also offer lengua (beef tongue), tripa (beef tripe) and lamb barbacoa. I decided to order a lengua taco and a tripa taco for take out. Their tacos were on point, legit, flavorful, tender, and fresh. Not in the mood for tacos? No problem, they also offer tamales, flautas, and even soups (such as menudo or posole) on their menu. I'm giving bonus points to this place not only for making their own tortillas, but also because they use "uncommon" taco meats and making them taste sooooo goood. They offer a counter service and have a no frills dining space. Service was casual and friendly. Overall, the food's delicious and very affordable. Parking is a breeze because it's located in a strip mall and they have their own parking lot. I would gladly return to try their other menu items, highly recommended.

Highly recommended. They make their tortillas from scratch and their fillings are awesome. Great tamales and they also do queso birria tacos as well. Delicious. Not to mention they have a little "mercado" as well with snacks, fresh produce, dried chilies and herbs. I love this place!

No frills, good food, nice people. We came here because we were doing something out this way (we live in Raleigh) and my kids said they wanted Mexican food. Y'all, they have cabrito on the menu! Everything was fresh and good. The only reason I'm knocking down a star is because I paid $7 for a side of beans and rice for my kids and it was sooooooo small. They did bring my little girl extra chips though!!!

Go here if you know and appreciate true authentic Mexican food. You won't find chips and salsa here. It's more cafeteria then restaurant combined with a small selection of Mexican groceries, spices and miscellaneous products, but the food is nothing short of excellent! Perfect for take out.

Best best authentic Mexican food in the area! There's not a sitting area (tables are outside) but for takeout, it's delicious!!

This place is awesome. The Carnitas tacos were sooooooo good! Home made tortillas were amazing! My boyfriend got a Tortas and ate it in 2 seconds. :) we will be back... even if it is a 30-40 min drive. If I could give 6 starts I would!!!!!

THIS. PLACE. Authentic, quality, delicious food. A true hole-in-the-wall hidden gem. Don't walk - RUN to get some tacos from here!

Craved tacos so I took a chance on this place and the al pastor tacos were everything I hoped for and more. Walking into the store and seeing them making tortillas in the back only solidified my choice in going here. I'll be going back many more times.

Great Authentic food. It's our go too when we want some Mexican. Carne Taco's GREAT! Salsa's are also great.

This is an undiscovered gem, even by those of us who live in Angier. This is because it is tucked away in a tiny strip of shops that are located at the bottom of a hill and barely visible from the road. We ordered take out from there tonight and it was great. Their food is very authentic and very reasonable. Tacos $2.00 and Tamales $1.50 and platters mostly around $10.00. While they have the usual chicken and beef dishes they also have a number of lamb dishes. I had a lamb barbacoa platter which was fabulous. They also have a lamb soup which I can't wait to try. In addition they feature dishes from meats like tripe and tongue. We bought an order of chicken flautas which were terrific. 4 for $8.50 with rice and beens. We placed a very big order which included two platters, a couple of tamales and a whole grilled chicken (really delicious) which we plan to eat for several meals--($9.00). Everything we bought was only $34.00 with tax. This is a very exciting find. Try it and tell your friends. I really want these folks to thrive.
