Italian Restaurants in Charlotte (2025)
Toscana

Google
Hands down The best restaurant experience I've probably ever had. The Atmosphere; fueled by the excellent staff and service was Amazing to say the very least. I went straight to Italy in this place before I even took a bite, that's how amazing it feels at Toscana. The food just kept me there and in awe of the authentic flavors and tastes my palette was thoroughly enjoying. It was my daughter's 3rd birthday and after a long wonderful adventure at Frankie's, I wanted to find a very divine Italian restaurant and found the perfect one I've ever dined in!!! Highly recommend the prices of course are fitting for exactly what you for. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!

Google
What a gem of a restaurant in SouthPark! The food here is top quality and so crave-able, along with a large wine list. I had the halibut special and it didn’t disappoint! This place was packed and very loud! If you need something intimate, I’m not certain this would be ideal. I will be back during my next Charlotte visit!

Always great! My all time favorite Italian restaurant anywhere! Look at all the great meals I have had here! Always Fantastic, always happy! I feel like I am in eating in Italy for a short time..... Even the music is Italian. The service that I get here is great! If the weather is good try to sit outside. This place is in the" specialty shops" at south park. Thank you Augusto! Never disappointed..

Went to Toscana to celebrate my wife's birthday, I mentioned this in the reservation. To our surprise there was a birthday card wishing my wife a happy birthday when we arrived at the table. We started with the Beef Carpaccio (wife LOVED IT) and Bruschetta (I wish the menu had stated it came with balsamic vinegar). For main dishes my wife ordered the Mare (LOVED IT) and I ordered the Pollo Medici (REALLY GOOD). Overall a great dinner and the staff were fantastic. I would recommend for a special occasion or family celebration.

My wife and I had a nice meal at Toscana last night. As a resident of Italy, I can fully endorse the fresh pasta. It is well made a cooked al dente. We will be back.

Last night we tried Toscana for the first time. The restaurant is tucked in the Specialty Shops at SouthPark. There’s a beautiful patio, but it was so hot and humid last night that we couldn’t enjoy it. The restaurant is very small. The food was...ok. They bring bread and a bean salad to each table. I ordered a cup of the white bean and farro soup, which was the soup of the day. Out of everything I ordered, I enjoyed this soup most because of the development and depth of flavor. My husband ordered the meatballs-he liked them, but I wasn’t impressed. I had the tagliatelle with vegetables, and he had the carbonara. The tagliatelle is fresh made. Both pasta dishes were good. The service wasn’t what I would expect for the price for the meal. We had to wait 25 minutes for our dessert. Our server came over with the check and realized that we hadn’t received the dessert that we ordered. She said she would check on it. We still waited for quite a while after she said she would do that. Other tables ordered and had their dessert before we received ours. He tried the cannoli, which were very small, so there wasn’t much cannoli cream like he likes, and I had the torta di cioccolato. I can cook and bake, so if the service isn’t all that impressive, and the food isn’t all that memorable, I would rather just stay at home and make it myself or try another place.

Google
We had a wonderful dining experience at Toscana. Service was professional and food delicious. Has a lovely patio as well as cool indoor atmosphere. All tables have white tablecloths. We’ll be back!!

Google
Excellent service and wonderful Italian meal. Came here with my colleagues for dinner. They were extremely busy which was a great sign. We got one of each appetizer and were all delicious. I ended up ordering the halibut special with crab meat and pasta. Halibut was perfectly seared and cooked. Looking around at empty plates everyone else liked it as well. Dessert wise the canolli was my favorite. Flavorful but not too overtly sweet. Awesome little Italian gem here in Charlotte.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of coming here for a company-sponsored lunch. Overall, everything was absolutely delicious! For drinks, I tried a Hugo spritz, toasted almond martini (might be messing up the exact name), and different types of red wine. All of this was very good! The almond martini was exceptional. The bread with the beans & olive oil was very good to start off with. Then, we got bruschetta as an appetizer and it was delicious. I got the rigatoni buttera as my entree and it did not disappoint. If you like penne alla vodka, you'd love this. All of the pasta is made fresh, and you can definitely tell. 10/10 would recommend. I did not try the other entrees, but everyone was very happy with what they were served. For dessert, we had a sampler with cannoli, tiramisu, and New York cheesecake. Everything was divine! The tiramisu was so fluffy, and the sauce on the cheesecake was to die for. Overall, we were so happy with everything. The vibe in the back room was amazing for our Christmas lunch. There was a fire place and it looked beautiful. All of the staff was lovely and very attention to all of our needs. Overall, I'd definitely recommend!

Yelp
Not Impressed and the food didn't match the ambiance and location. Snap shots: 1/2 lobster - Not fresh Pasta - possibly a day old Waiter 5 stars Signage one place said opens at 5:30 then at the location say 5pm Lasagna hubby didn't like, no red sauce.

Yelp
For once, I have to start with this pesky issue of seating here. As always, I made an RSVP for early dinner (5:15 pm!) via Open Table, with a request for a nice patio table. Well, there were only 2 tables full when we arrived (practically empty!)...and I asked if we could sit by the fountain. The hostess said that those tables (2 by the fountain) were for parties of 4...so we were seated in one of the tables for 2. Not a problem at this point. Flash-forward to around the time we nearly finished our meal, we noticed that the 2 fountain-side tables were still left open! Then this couple strolled in around 6:30 pm while we were nearly done with our dessert, and they got seated in one of those tables for 4. ?!? Frankly, we were quite peeved. This is at least the second time I requested a table by the fountain, and was basically dissed. That said, if you check my previous reviews, I've given this restaurant nothing less than 5 stars...repeatedly. I have been going to this restaurant for over 35 years, in fact...well before I got married. Not a "regular" in the sense that I'd visit super-frequently...but I have been a fan of this restaurant for years, and have dined here over 2 dozen times. Even their featured picture on Yelp was by me from our previous visit!! Guess none of this qualifies me for their better patio tables. Both my husband and I absolutely love the foods here. For me, it's the patio ambiance that I love even more than the foods. Their wait service has always been on point. By now, it's not only my favorite, but my husband's favorite Italian restaurant as well. For this latest dining, we still managed to enjoy the experience...despite the seating. We loved the foods, as usual (though not going into details this time!), and the service was polished and on point, as usual. Still, the pesky seating issue remains. I just feel that they reserve the best patio tables for their favorite guests (the frequent regulars maybe?). While I know some restaurants do this, I'm just not a fan of this biased policy. For this issue alone, I'm deducting a star. I mean, why keep dropping raving 5-star reviews when we're not getting our seating of choice?? So this time I'm going to review things differently. For their foods, ambiance and wait service, I feel that they deserve 5 stars. For their biased seating, however, I feel that they deserve 3 at best. Overall dining experience? I feel that 4 Stars is fair.

Yelp
This was my first experience at Toscana and I'm just not quite sure how I feel about it. We had a reservation for a large party at 7:45 to celebrate our friend's birthday. When we arrived the hostess informed us that our table would be ready shortly. Typically, this would not be an issue as we could grab a drink while we waited but there was not room for us to stand to do so. Instead, we were told to stand in the back room so that we did not "block the front of the restaurant because it stressed the manager out" which I thought was odd since it wasn't our fault our table wasn't ready. We finally were seated at 8:15. This was frustrating because with a reservation for every guest that doesn't show they will charge you $25 each. Our server was quick to take our drink orders and get us started. She was super friendly and helpful in us making decisions on what to order. Due to our wait, we were given complimentary appetizers and dessert which were delicious. The prosciutto and bruschetta were super fresh. For my entree I ordered the carbonara which was so good! The food definitely made up for the timing issue at the beginning of our visit. I would like to try this place again but hope that they can have the reservations figured out.

Yelp
Amazing service! Waitress , staff helpful, and polite. Ready to help with order and explain menu. Plenty of parking, clean facility. Friendly to all patrons.

Yelp
If you are looking for eye rolls & b*tch stares - this is your place! The blonde woman in white gave me the look like I smelled bad & the waiter was offended that we gave him a low 3 figure wine price range. What a bunch of d-bags. I will never go back & apparently unless you are a 30-something woman who wants to have an affair with the owner or prefer to pay $500 for your bottle of wine, you will be shunned and looked down upon. RIDICULOUS. Jokers.

Yelp
The service is amazing. The food came out fast and fresh. People are always waiting on you, but the menus were dirty. Operationally it's a 5 star but everything else fell flat for me. The food was decent. The ambience is pretty loud and I can appreciate the good service, but I wouldn't go back.

Yelp
Since we moved back to Charlotte we've been here 3 times and are looking forward to our next visit. Great authentic food, wonderful service and the most beautiful patio dining in town.

Yelp
What a great find. The family feel of this restaurant goes beyond any other Italian restaurant we have experienced in Charlotte. When the owner joins in to help serve the tables and makes sure you are having a pleasant time, you feel special. The food was great, no pictures as I forgot to take them, it smelled and looked so good, we dove right in.

Marz C.

Yelp
We sat on the patio and the ambiance was awesome. The service was prompt but didn't seem to care if we were happy with something or not. The bread with the beans is something I've never seen. It was good but I'd prefer olive oil with s &p. The Caesar's salad was meh. I would never order it again. I also had the eggplant Parmesan appetizer that was bad and told the waiter as he was picking up my hardly touched plate. No reaction or comment. My colleague had the buttera and said it was not good although he ate it all. He was very hungry! Just having drinks on the patio was very nice and I'd do that again. However I would not go back for the food

Yelp
Great food to leave you with a big smile on your face and a warm happy tummy. Service spot on and nice feel and kj

Yelp
Candidly, I was teetering between a 3 and 4 for overall rating but opted for a 4 strictly because of the Buttera dish. I have been here about 5 times and I will say the service has not been consistent. At times the staff seems like they don't want to be there and seem to rush you/not really care about questions, etc - that has been a big turn off. There is a female bartender who is fabulous, however. As for the food, it's been a little inconsistent, as well. I've ordered the Cavatelli a couple of times and it's been better good one time and not so good the other. We also had a larger party and some ordered the same dish but you could tell some were sitting there for a while, likely waiting for the other dishes to be done. Not all looked to be the same freshness when they came out. Some of the dishes so seem a little overpriced for what you get, but the ambience of the restaurant and space is overall really nice! What I will say is - order the Buttera if that strikes you as something you may like. It's not necessarily something I would normally order per se, and I am SO GLAD I DID. It was so good I ordered some for take out a few days later! Add a little red pepper if you like a little bit of spice.

Yelp
Recently had a chance to dine at this Italian restaurant. It was a company Christmas party so I got to see lots of different entrees. Since it was my first visit I wanted to taste the pasta & sauce. It was just delicious. Seriously delicious. The meatballs were so delicious it brought me back to my childhood memories of homemade. You can taste the difference! I did enjoy a bite of steak from a friend who sat beside me. The steak was so flavorful and tender . The food was just delicious. There really isn't any other way to describe this meal. The desserts were just incredible ! Tucked away in the speciality shoppes at South Park, I highly recommend you call and make reservations, cause I'm certain you'll need them ! The food was delicious the ambiance is warm and inviting and the wait staff are spot on fantastic! This place is amazing! Two thumbs way up!

Yelp
My son and I enjoyed a delicous meal here on a recent Friday night. The food and service were excellent and we were able to enjoy an outside table.

Leslie B.

Yelp
Two issues with this place. First, despite telling the hostess it was sprinkling outside she insisted the rain was behind us. We had to ask to have the umbrellas opened which helped temporarily until (fast forward 20 minutes) to the skies opened up. And when they did, we we're in the middle of our meal and they did absolutely nothing to help. They were more concerned with their chair cushions than they were with helping us not get soaked. Finally, we ran inside with our plates in our hands and they just stood there. Secondly, the food was not good and was not authentic Italian. Granted being from NY, I'm a little biased and am exposed to very good and true Italian cuisine, but I still wouldn't recommend it. The bread was stale, the chicken parm (or whatever name they give it) had no flavor and just overall bad experience. I would not recommend this place; service is terrible, food is equally as bad and it's overpriced. I know Charlotte has more to offer and am irritated I wasted money and one of my meals down here on this place!

Yelp
Saturdays nights are to be avoid at this restaurant. Service hectic as super busy. Food came hot but a simple carbonara was lack of taste and purely salt if that's possible. I had better food in the past and somehow disappointed. $$$ is not really making the cut for me.
google avatar

Swaz F.

Yelp
What is not to love about Toscana? Delicious Italian foods with impeccable service. I don't know why I don't come here more often. This time we were seated in the back room next to the fire and it was so cozy. I have to ask to be seated back here again next time.

Yelp
Ugh, I want to give this place 5 stars but there were things that happen that just were not professional, the waitress we had, just the friendliest and well meaning but overly so, the manager/owner, training staff right next to our table? Do it before or after the shift not during dining hours. The food is so heavy it just laid their for days and the wife's Ravioli just so darn salty and it must be an Italian restaurant thing to always make them salty, this is the 3rd establishment in town that just does not know how to cook them. The Dessert was wonderful, and like I said the waitress was good but.... We are still looking for that perfect Italian in town cause this is not it. They really need to revisit and modernize their menu. Little things that can be fixed, for sure and as you know I am 3 strikes and your out, so we will come back sometime to re-eval.

Yelp
Great small hidden italian resturant in south park. Lots of food options. Quick service. Outdoor seating as well. Wide wine selection and bar.

Yelp
After seeing such high ratings for this restaurant, we decided to give it a try. The only good part of the visit would have to be the Cabernet that I ordered - as well as the company of my two friends. The scallops that I ordered seemed...off. I couldn't put my finger on it at that particular moment in time, but later found myself with what seemed to be food poisoning. The scallops were not hot or seared; rather, slightly rubbery and a tad soggy. I don't consume scallops regularly, but I've never encountered a consistency that matched how they were during my meal. One of my friends makes homemade from-scratch pasta and was not impressed with the quality of his food. He is a connoisseur of all things italian and is part of the reason why we went here...but he didn't even finish his pasta bolognese. My other friend - although she didn't complain or make comments - barely touched her dish...and declined the offer to take it home in a carry out container. Unusual. I have not consulted with her to determine why, but I am assuming that she was not content with her meal, either. The restaurant reeked of Fabuloso cleaning solution. Even my clothes smelled of it after I returned home. My tiramisu was sub par. I've eaten better at Olive Garden. Also, I believe that my cappuccino was instant and not even freshly brewed. It did not meet my expectations whatsoever. Also, our waiter had extremely long pinky fingernails...although I cannot say for certain, rumors have it that those are traditionally utilized for drug use. I could be dead wrong, but his appearance certainly fit the stereotype. Overall, I would rather eat at a chain Italian restaurant, such as Olive Garden or Maggiano's. At least I've never gotten sick from either and know what to expect from them. The owner is allegedly Italian. Really? And why such high ratings? Perhaps my expectations were too high...

Yelp
Went here for dinner. We were immediately seated and given potato chips and bread. We were constantly checked on by our waiter. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor had heaters and fans. The food was amazing. I got the steak and it was so good. Dessert was also amazing. I got the chocolate cake. I recommend.

Yelp
We started off the night with French Martinis & an antipasto board! It was the real deal. Delicious spreads of meats. The ambiance of this place is really incredible. As soon as we walk in, we see the beautiful decor throughout the restaurant. We were seated at a two top near the window. I am hard of hearing, it was a little loud with a full restaurant in close quarters, but the food made it well worth it!! I ordered the tubular pasta! I absolutely loved the creamy tomato sauce it came with, I can closely relate it to a vodka sauce! It was fantastic. My boyfriend ordered the penne with jumbo shrimp with white sauce! The shrimp were in fact very JUMBO & JUICY! 10/10. The sauce was perfect. It was not too rich like an Alfredo, but the perfect consistency! This was our first time dining & definitely will not be our last!

Yelp
I've been here one time before, and the food was decent. I ordered the Paloma tonight which was delectable. I then ordered the linguini with white clams. I wasnt offered any parmesan or pepper like the other tables and the clams were very sandy and the pasta was extremely al dente. I feel like because I was by myself nobody came to check on me. Kind of a disappointing experience....
google avatar

Crystal C.

Yelp
The bruschetta and the calamari was delicious. I had the seafood linguini. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I could eat it all and my husband happily finished my leftovers. I shall be returning with him. The flavors and the sauce was delicious!!
google avatar

Farrell H.

Yelp
The pasta was amazing and obviously made in house and the sauces were fresh, light and delicious. I enjoyed the wine recommendation too. We really enjoyed our meal.

Yelp
First time visiting and it was amazing. We wanted to locate a nice place near the hotel since we were doing a short out-of-town because we sisn't get to go for our anny the week before. Ambiance, service, & food was all on point. I had the Cavatelli and at first was like---this is tiny. It was sooo good. Rich sauce, amazing meatballs. I almost couldn't finish it...almost. The desserts were devine. I had the Crème Brulée...nothing like that carmelized sugar top.
google avatar

Lu T.

Yelp
Yummy! Just landed and was hungry. The location is conveniently located behind the hotel in a 'higher end' mall. The atmosphere was more fine dining than casual but it had a full bar which the bartender attended to me. She was very attentive and a good conversationalist. I started my meal with a drink from the full bar and was given breath with a bean and olive oil dip. I have never eaten anything like it but it was yummy. I finished the whole starter. As for the entree, I the got Mare which is my favorite Italian dish. The dish did not disappoint. It was full of seafood, half lobster, clam, muscles, shrimp, calamari, and plenty of scallops. You get a choice of red or white wine sauce. I chose red. Once of the best Mare I had. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Brock S.

Yelp
Love this place. Amazing food, service and quality. One of the better Italian spots in all of Charlotte.

Margaret F.

Yelp
We had a private party in the back room last week for my husband and everything was perfect! Service was on par and quick, food was so good, and we really enjoyed the appetizers that were recommended by the manager. Thank you Toscana!

Yelp
Worst restaurant setup ever. To even find the entrance you'd have to loop around the front where there is outside seating. Once you walk through all the commotion and through the front doors, you will see how bad the setup of the restaurant is. The front door is the only way in and out and it's always busy there due to the waiters and customers going in and out. Really poor setup. Dined inside on a Wednesday evening. Would say it was good/steady business evening for them. Not super crowded but not empty that's for sure. Outside seating was full. Food - 6.5/10. Nothing to rave about. Average at best. None of the food was hot. Not a steam in sight. Atmosphere- 6/10. Felt dated and the chaos at the front door makes everything very loud. My kid's iPad was on loud and was drowned out. And this place is NOT. Kid friendly. Was not asked at any point if we needed a high chair - that doesn't really matter though. Price- expensive for what you get. Would say 25% overpri Service- 2/10. This was the worst part. They must have not had anyone waiting on our table as the whole time we were unsure who our waiter/waitress was. They brought out the wrong dish and when they came and told us (someone from the back) we had already started on it. They then grab it and take it to the back. They should've informed us and left it at the table as it had already been touched. We still had a fork in hand when they grabbed it off our table. They did bring out the correct dish a few moments later though. They get a 2 due to the gentleman who came and asked if we needed anything. He was kind at least. Safe to say won't be going back. In a nice area of Charlotte but they have a lot to work on.
google avatar

Tara R.

Yelp
When I first moved to Charlotte's and pre-pandemic, this was my favorite Italian restaurant. But my recent visit has caused me to pause. First, our server lacked personality. He approached the table and looked at us as if we knew what he was going to ask us. The drinks (old fashion and Moscow mule) were the worst we've had. I had the halibut and risotto with crab. The water had more flavor. My husband had the lamb and risotto and it was ok. The bread puddling was good, but was for a serving of one. Note: Bricktops which is within eyesight of Toscana has the best bread pudding - and a better overall experience.
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
I'm extremely picky when it comes to Italian, but this is the place to be. I tried two different dishes on the featured menu and was not disappointed by either. They were phenomenal, I didn't even get the chance to take a picture of them before chomping down. It was a nice vibe with eccentric flooring near booths and blown glass lighting fixtures. It had a nice energy, but the staff was not the most friendly. At the same time, this meant I was not questioned every 15 minutes. I am already planning on going back.
google avatar

Dave H.

Yelp
Outstanding Italian restaurant tucked away in the SouthPark area. Quite pricy, but excellent food. Classy without being pretentious. Very good service, friendly staff, and overall a good experience. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
We visited for the first time to celebrate a special date night. Upon arrival to the shopping plaza, follow through the walkway past DryBar and you'll find Toscana nestled in the courtyard. It's close and intimate inside, although a little noisy when full. Our reservation was for 6:15 which seemed to be the start of their dinner rush as it quickly filled up around us. The food was delicious from start to finish and I did take a star off because the service was not as superior as I expected given the ambiance and price point. It took a while for someone to come over after we were seated and our eventual waiter very well may have been the manager. However, once we did order, our food came out quickly. We enjoyed the Fritto and split a Caesar salad to start, both were delicious. For entree, my husband enjoyed one of the specials that was Pasta Digorno that had very large shrimp and Italian sausage. I enjoyed the Tagliatelle. Both were in a light red sauce and perfect balance of pasta, sauce, and accompaniments. We finished off our meal with both the tiramisu and crème brûlée. Highly highly recommend the food if you're looking for a special place to celebrate or enjoy a romantic evening.

Yelp
This place has the feel you are stepping into a little part of Tuscany, or Italy. The decor is so quaint and beautiful. I really feel like I am somewhere beautiful and amazing. I was greeted immediately and sat by very friendly and welcoming staff. I love the attention to detail that is here and goes into the service. It really is a great flow and I never went with out anything. I ordered a cup of potato soup to start and it was so delicious. The bacon top really gave the soup a hint of salt, just perfect to the tastebuds. The carbonara was it on the menu, but upon request they were happy to make it. Oh my gosh it was exactly what I needed. Very flavorful and comforting and just was I wanted. These times are so different and everything is operating different. The food experience here is worth it! All the staff wears masks and social distancing is enforced. This makes the enjoyment of the food stress free. They also do private dining, so I will need to get information on that for sure. I do plan to be back often.

Yelp
I came here for a company dinner. I had the filet and it was delicious. I have not had as good a steak in a long time. The 3 star rating is for the service. We were long for SO unnecessarily long. From the time we walked in to getting an order in to receiving the check, it was pretty much a miserable waiting game. It was a weeknight and they honestly weren't that busy. We had more than one server hopping around to help us and it was confusing. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food, however. The bread was also good, but took forever to get refilled. Although I did enjoy my food, I don't know if I would come back due to the wait and the service. It was really not worth the frustration. There are other places with good food that you can get in and out of without the trouble.
google avatar

Rosanne R.

Yelp
Top notch. Service, food, cleanliness and elegance. Can't wait for it to be warm enough for the courtyard sipping aperols and imaging a warm Italian street cafe. One of the most delicious meals I've had in a minute. Order the Mare! Everything was delicious.

Yelp
It has been years since I have been to Toscana, but after reviewing the 2017 Restaurant Week menu, I knew it was time to return. Needless to say Toscana did not disappoint and again deserved 4 stars...why not 5? Unfortunately we had a new waitress and service/amount of time in between courses and are bill definitely could have been better. With that said, let me tell you about the restaurant and food. Toscana is a beautiful restaurant with attention to quality and service! We had 7:00 reservations and were seated immediately. The restaurant and bar were packed, which is always a good sign! As I mentioned above this dinner was during the 2017 Summer Restaurant Week so we had a limited, but a unique menu for this event. Note: Toscana does allow customers to order from the full menu as well if you are not interested in the Restaurant Week options. Several restaurants do not offer this. We started with the mussels and mista and panzanella salads. I loved the Panzanella, fresh tomatoes and cucumber with a light dressing and basil was my favorite. Others loved the mussels. For the entrees, most stuck with the Risotto of the day, a garlic risotto with lobster, shrimp and fresh peas, it was amazing. I had the Parmesan Crusted Halibut, the fish special of the day, which might have been one of the best cooked fish I have ever had. The entrees truly did not disappoint. And, finally we ended the evening with Tiramisu, Cheesecake and a Chocolate Torte, all delicious as well. After this experience I will not go as long as I did before returning to Toscana. I actually want to go back tonight and order from the regular menu, everything was that good!

Yelp
We had such a wonderful meal and experience at Toscana - I really look forward to returning! I was with a group of 7 people and we started at the bar for drinks and they served homemade chips. These chips were great! Light, crispy and not at all oily. Once our entire party was there, we were seated in a backroom which was private and allowed us to enjoy our evening together. Everyone ordered drinks (with the exception of me ... I'm pregnant!) Fresh italian bread and a white bean tapenade were brought to the table. Our waitress was so kind and kept drinks flowing all night. She was really patient going over the specials and gave us plenty of time to pour over the menu to decide what to order. Everyone split appetizers, we ordered the following: -Calamari (large) -Bruschetta -Carpaccio (can't comment, but the table seemed to enjoy it) -Proscuitto e Burrata (again, couldn't eat this either, but it looked amazing) The calamari was light, not at all oily and so fresh! The bruschetta was fresh and flavorful. Everything was presented beautifully. The waitress let us know that we could choose any two of their pastas as well as a meal if we couldn't make a choice on just one. I had already decided I would be getting pasta because when it is homemade it is my favorite. I ordered the ravioli and the buttera. Unfortunately, I wasn't in love with the ravioli - I thought the filling was a little granular. But the buttera- mmm - it was fantastic! So creamy and the Italian sausage was cooked to perfection. For dessert - espressos and aperitifs were had around the table over dessert. At this point I was so full, but I managed to take a bite of the chocolate torte. It was very creamy and almost mousse like. I look forward to many wonderful meals here in the future!

Yelp
This has been one of our favorite Charlotte restaurants for years! The food is consistently great - delicious and high quality. We also love the beans that come with the bread. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable. The staff is always very accommodating. It does get busy so a reservation is recommended, although you can occasionally find an open table or sit at the bar!

Yelp
Authentic quality Italian in Charlotte which is rare and hard to find. A bit on the expensive side but I think that's what inflation has done to dining in America!

He helped us choice the best dishes. The food was so yummy. We went for restaurants week and to celebrate my girlfriends bday. I would recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you for excellent service.

Yelp
Is it possible that I could have an even BETTER experience than my last 5 star review for this place ? Why, yes I can ! We arrived for our girl's night out on a Thursday night. No sassy hostess in sight, so we're off to a good start :) We started off with the lovely, complimentary white beans and bread. We all got the butternut squash soup with goat cheese sprinkled on top as our starter. The way the goat cheese added a rich dollop of creaminess was really special and tasty. The cheese just melted in your mouth with each bite and was really yummy. Next I had the Mare (linguine with scallops, lobster, shrimp, mussels and clams in red sauce). O.M.G ! You MUST get this ! It was to.die.for. I had remembered to tell them to cook the pasta further than al dente this time and I really, really enjoyed it. The other gals got the ravioli, gnocchi, and branzino. Everyone liked their meal. Next we all got one of their housemade desserts and we each tried each other's dessert. I got the meringue puffs with strawberry and blackberries with housemade whipped cream and strawberry reduction. It was light, crunchy, and sooooo very good. 2 ladies got the chocolate mousse torte with ganache. This was so dense and rich, they couldn't finish it. One got the cheesecake. It had a slight lemon flavor and was less sweet, which I really liked. We had excellent service by the manager of the restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal and when I got home, I told my husband we have to go back again soon to get that Mare for dinner and try another one of their desserts !

Yelp
Had a phenomenal lasagna and the appetizer was delicious. My companion had an awesome frute del mare pasta and salad that we shared. Highly recommend.
