Google
Service was excellent. And the food was delicious. We cleaned our plates. We got the haddock, salmon, steak, shrimp, and lamb pops and every single dish was perfect. I want to come back to eat just plates of the lamb pops!

Google
Got the lobster ravioli, it was excellent. Cooked perfectly with big chunks of lobster in the sauce as well 9.6/10. Girlfriend got the espresso crusted ribeye, said it was fantastic 9.7/10. Great service too, overall great experience highly recommend!

Google
Food was delicious with large portion sizes. Wait staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Would return and recommend to others!

My husband and I had our small vow renewal reception catered by Toscana's Ristorante. The food was fantastic! All my guests absolutely loved everything. The eggplant rollatini especially was soooo good! Lisa and Zack staffed the event, and both were excellent. I'm sure we caused them some stress inadvertently by running late to our own party, but they handled everything really well. Lisa's kindness was especially appreciated since I was super overwhelmed that day. And this proved to be a super cost-effective option as well. Other caterers quoted me $10k+ for what Toscana's provided me for less than $2k. If you want an event catered, I highly recommend Toscana's!

Google
We use to come here all the time but this place has gone down hill. The food is definitely not as good. I ordered carbonara the last time I was here and it tasted more like Alfredo sauce than carbonara it also tasted like someone threw the bottle of salt in there. My husband said his saltamboca was gross. What should have been a white wine sauce tasted like pure oil. The service was poor. We got our food and hr after we ordered it, and because we were with people who didnt drink alcohol the waitress never came back to the table to offer us anything else to drink. We drank water all night. Our last 2 dinners here were horrible experiences with the food and service. We won't be back.

Google
This used to be my favorite place in the area. What happened?? I ordered 3 meals over $80. Two of them were horrible. The chicken on both meals was dry and had that funny chicken taste. I had Chicken Marsala and the Marsala sauce was totally off. The Vodka Penne was dry and clumpy sauce tasted basically horrible. Unappealing to the eye as well. Both meals seemed thrown together with last weeks chicken. This was my Birthday meal I was so bummed out. I really feel there must be NEW owners because the food was that horrible. Waste of money.

Google
The mixed grill is a definite, must order! Substantial portions and grilled nicely.

Google
Food was really good. Server not very friendly, warm or inviting, but she didn’t keep us waiting. Cocktails were really good too

Yelp
I used to order baked haddock every week from here. About a year ago they decided to discontinue it and instead have bake stuffed haddock.

Yelp
Toscana's catered a family event last week and the food was amazing! All of it! Highly recommen!

Yelp
We got take out the other night and really thought it was well done! It comes with nice bread and oil. I got the penne vodka and it comes with chicken and your choice of pancetta or sausage. I did the pancetta. It was delicious and a huge portion! The pancetta was nice and thick. I would definitely order this again if we eat in. My husband did the chicken parm and thought it was good! Not his favorite, but it was tasty and a huge portion.

Yelp
Visited with friends for lunch and had a great time. We each had sparkling strawberry lemonade, very refreshing & had a flower on top! We enjoyed a salad and bread to start our meals - the arugula salad looked very fresh, the Caesar was yummy!! After the starters, I didn't have room for my full meal so I brought half home. It tasted delightful and I'm glad I went with what I did. Cozy atmosphere with funky music paired wonderfully with our delicious lunch. Would recommend!

Yelp
I've driven by this place for years and have just recently gone in after realizing it was a sister restaurant to the Toscana Forno on the other side of Peabody. It is kind of hidden off of Lowell St. The bar area is cozy, but very nice. This is definitely a date night spot. Don't come here in sweats. They wont say anything to you, but just don't. The prosciutto and fig salad was out of this world. Probably the best salad I've ever had in my life and I eat a LOT of salads. Very few ingredients but everything was high quality. Chicken Marsala was also good, but not the best I've had. Service was a little slow at the bar, but to be fair the bartender was working the entire bar as well as some of the surrounding tables in the bar area. I'll be quite honest, I will probably be back there next weekend, just to get that salad again.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! This is the second time I have come here this year and it won't be the last! Off of route one this Italian spot is very convenient and the inside is gorgeous. Great for dates, groups, or even parties with their event space. My swordfish was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed the martinis! Our server was also very good!

This place is too expensive to present food like this....Olive Garden was better than what they gave me!!!!!!! NO LIE

Yelp
I'm not sure why this restaurant has such a high rating. The shrimp on the shrimp scampi bruschetta was rubbery and overcooked, and the tomatoes tasted spoiled or off. The carbonara sauce was separated and the white sangria was just white wine watered down with sparkling water and ice served in a small wine glass. All talk of berries and orange was crap. Couldn't taste any of that and the dried orange slice with the straw stuck through it was too big for the tiny glass and just sat on top like a lid. The clams in the penne allá vodka had sand in there. Not good. On the good side, the calamari was nice and crisp and the service was good. Which is why they get 2 stars. I think we expected too much from this place.

Yelp
Our food was incredible! The lobster ravioli had large pieces of lobster which was a pleasant surprise! Service was great and since the renovation the inside is very nice!

Yelp
Money, this place is MONEY! Always a delicious meal, you simply will not go wrong here. Once again a takeout night, the food travels pretty well we are about 25- 30 Minutes North and the food can make that ride still be nice and hot even on the coldest winter night! But the food is even better at the restaurant! I simply can't stray from the frutti Di Mare Fra Diavlo and the bride loves the Chicken Marsala fresh homade pasta it's always great! Try it you will love it!

Yelp
Family dinner tonight at Toscana's and it was so good. We started with apps, antipasto, heirloom tomato a special, eggplant rollatini and bruschetta. All were delicious! My meal was a special that night and was a stuffed haddock which was amazing. My husband also had a special of bone in rib eye. Other dishes were salmon limone, fruti di mare, chicken parm, chicken Marsala, seafood risoto and veal parm. Everyone enjoyed theirs meals. Our server was wonderful and took good care of us. The only thing keeping this from 5 star was that the meals came out at different times and we told others to eat while theirs were hot. Other than that it was great.

Yelp
A group of 5 friends and I went out for dinner last night. Thank goodness we had a reservation as the restaurant was packed when we arrived at 6:30pm. We were quickly seated and immediately greated by Danielle, our waitress, who provided excellent service throughout our meal. The warm rolls served with delicious garlicky olive oil started our meal off right. I got the chicken marsala with homemade fusilli. The portion was very generous, the chicken was tender, the sauce was flavorful, but the pasta lacked flavor. Each of us enjoyed our meals and several of us took leftovers home. I didn't get a photo of my meal because I couldn't wait to dive in! This is a great place to get good Italian food.

Yelp
This is a nice Italian restaurant. I was a little concerned pulling up in the not-so-well-kept plaza, but the people in the restaurant were fairly friendly and the ambiance was pretty good. I had the penne alla vodka. The vodka sauce and chicken were good albeit a little overwhelming towards the end such that I could not finish the dish. I tried my wife's fusilli campagnola and the Italian sausage was outstanding - perhaps the best I have tasted! I should note that they initially messed up the order and served her chicken instead, but they did correct it with a side of sausage. The ginger peach whiskey smash was a nice drink, better than the overly sweet maple old fashioned. The little Italy drink was solid too but not as good as the ginger peach whiskey. This was a nice meal to end a busy conference day.

Yelp
Fantastic meal. Portions are generous and reasonably priced. So glad we found this, definitely one of our new favorites!

Yelp
Toscana is a great dinner spot for a date night, special occasion or just when you are in the mood for delicious Italian food! The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. I have never had a bad meal here! Our go to!

Yelp
My favorite place to meet my NH friends halfway for lunch. Yummy drinks and appetizers. The staff is always friendly, even when we stay and catch up a little longer than we should.

Yelp
Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. Great service and we look forward to going back. Reasonable prices and welcoming staff

Yelp
I had been looking forward to trying this place for a while. Wish I waited longer! My meal was awful. I got the Cacio e Pepe. Tasted like it was microwaved pasta with a piece of cheese over it. Was not served hot at all and the flavor was awful. I couldn't even take two bites of it. Waitress never came back to ask how we were or I would have spoke up. When she finally showed up, she asked if I wanted a box and I said no. She never asked if it was ok and just walked away. I have sent several emails to the restaurant and no response at all. Really bad customer service in my opinion. I was hoping for a response prior to writing this but it's been over a week and they don't seem to care.
google avatar

Alicia E.

Yelp
This is based on only takeout so I can't speak on the ambience or the service besides the people who were taking our orders and picking them up. We got the chicken broccoli ziti half tray and there were about 20 people in line waiting for people to take their names and get their orders. Chicken broccoli Ziti was some of the best I've ever had and I wish the broccoli was cooked a little more but the sauce and chicken was delicious.

Yelp
Went to Toscana yesterday for dinner and it was so good! The service was amazing but I think it's because the person I was with was a regular. Nevertheless they were attentive and brought extra bread for the table. The oil to dip was amazing. For apps we had the calamari which was okay! For the entrees I had the linguine with clams and baby that was the star of the show. It was soooooo good. The second entree my date had the eggplant Parm. I had some and it was 10/10. Amazing! Overall I am definitely coming back!

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem. The waitress that helped us was one of the best servers I have ever had so helpful nice and read the specials to us. She was so great. The space is nice authentic not too overwhelming the decor the bar the lighting overall is nice for lunch and dinner and you can tell that they care about an authentic feel. The food is also so delicious and well made and there is so much detail to every plate.

Yelp
I ordered delivery on Saturday night. Hubs got the chicken parm, which he said was very generous in portion and flavored well. The only ding is that it was slightly soggy due to steaming a bit in transit. I opted for the short rib ravioli in a mushroom sauce, which hit the spot and then some. It was very nicely seasoned and also generous in portion. Delivery was super fast, and the food arrived hot. I will definitely order from them again, or, better yet, dine in soon!

Yelp
The food at Toscanas is amazing. It tastes like real authentic Italian food. The wait staff does a fantastic job for private functions. They are very friendly and personable. I would highly recommend Toscanas for private functions and dine in options. The food is always exceptionally good and the wait staff makes you feel at home. I am always so pleased visiting Toscanas Restaurant. Thank you ladies and thanks for having us all.

Yelp
I would like to update my review of 1 star that I gave for the service I received on 12/23/24 while picking up my catering order. As I said in the original review if it was based on food I would always give Toscana's 4-5 stars ~ and that the poor rating of 1 star was in response for the service I received on that evening. The owner of the establishment has quickly reached out to me to apologize and rectify the situation, greatly appreciated.

Ken B.

Yelp
Toscana rates 5 stars for the way they handled a difficult visit for us! We were seated in a busy area Friday evening, and our server was excellent throughout. We started with cocktails and the calamari app, which was superb, light batter on slices of tender squid. I ordered the veal piccata, my wife the swordfish on special. Unfortunately the swordfish was not cooked through and needed more cook time. The server took away the swordfish and it would be about five minutes... time kept going by and finally the general manager of all the Toscana locations came to us with a fully cooked swordfish dinner after a 20 minute wait. My wife had lost her appetite by then, and my dish was basically cold because of the long wait. The manager could not have been better as far as dealing with the problem! She packaged up both the swordfish dinner and my veal dinner and we took it home and enjoyed them on Saturday night. She removed both dinners from the bill so basically we just paid for cocktails and our appetizer. The swordfish was extra special good the next night! Thank you for your handling of a difficult situation.

Yelp
Italian dishes are all the best around MA. Service foodambiance Enjoy my time @ Toscana's everytime I go there

Yelp
Place is great, solid food and even better people. Highly recommend when in town for a quality meal.

Yelp
Excellent food, service, atmosphere. If you want authentic Toscana's Ristorante is the place to go

Yelp
I had the most amazing lobster risotto dinner! I'm sorry I didn't take a picture to show how beautiful it was! Service is great, staff attentive, friendly, and I love that it makes you feel at home!

Yelp
We wanted something special for my wife's birthday so we went to Toscana's in Beverly. The ambience was perfect, the waitress was good but when we ordered the PEI mussels, we encountered sand that is normally not found in mussels that come from Prince Edward Island. I inquired as to where they were from and was told that they were local and probably from Gloucester. If we had known that, we would not have ordered that as an appetizer since there were other options available. The next time we go out to eat, when I see PEI mussels, I will be sure to ask where they come from before ordering. Just disappointing for a special occasion.

Yelp
We had my granddaughters Communion gathering and we received the best service from Danielle (and another lovely waitress). The food was wonderful and I just wanted to let everyone know how pleased and what an enjoyable time we had.

Yelp
The veal chop was very good and the bar is very cozy The also do catering and we had our daughters communion party there it was great

Yelp
I never want to negatively impact any business but at the same time I am a huge proponent of honesty. First impressions are everything. There is no better way to make improvements. Many owners unfortunately get defensive. Arrived with a reservation, did not feel welcomed by the host. Table was next to other two person tables, not my preference. Waitress was prompt, gave us ice water without ice (pet peive). Ordered drinks, my wife had white wine and I had fig old fashion. My drink was great and wine was good. Dinner menu is extensive with many special items I have not seen elsewhere (zuchini flowers, artichokes, spring rolls, seafood tortelonni and homemade pasta). We had mussels marinara which were fresh and delicious. My wife is Celiac and we mentioned this when we made reservations but there was no acknowledgement upon arrival. Of course we told the waitress and she was accomidating. I had Parmigiano Presidente (chicken cutlet with eggplant on top, mozzarella and homemade penne). The cutlet was overcooked or previously cooked with no sauce over the dish (sauce on pasta). Very disapponting! The other dish was Penne alla Vodka with gluten free pasta. Again, no attention to celiac as exhibited by the runner. My wife couldn't say enough good things about this meal. It was delicious! We skipped dessert with their offerings being extensive. All things considered I would definitely go back!

Diane K.

Yelp
I've been coming here for over 5 years, both Peabody and Beverly. We get takeout at least 3 times per month. Lobster ravioli, steak tips, Scampi. Their Tiramisu and cannoli are great too. I'm a FKR person too.

Darlene S.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Service so nice. Great place. Clean. Fun. Ignore the stupid noise from others trying to hurt a great place.

Yelp
Amazing food. Staff was so friendly and attentive. Beautiful dining area. We Loved it !!

Yelp
Toscana's was always a good local restaurant that we often took our family too many times over the years and we never had a complaint until now. My husband and I did try the new location when it opened in Peabody and we were not impressed with that Location and our experience. We preferred this restaurant until now and sadly we will not be returning. There are other restaurants that are serving much better food than what we experienced the other night. I know it was Valentine's night and it was more crazy than usual having turned the function room into more space for regular dinning. Yes, if it was a regular night and a function was going on they could have had the same amount of people to feed. However what was happening that night was not the same as a planned function. They would have known ahead of time what food was needed. They would have had the food order prepared and it would not have stressed out the kitchen staff like it did on Valentine's night. Putting tables in the function room and taking all those separate orders cooked on the spot added to the problem. A function usually is a buffet also which is less stressful on the staff. They did not have enough staff to handle the situation. There should have been a set menu if they wanted to expand for Valentines Dinner or maybe consider some sort of a buffet. Maybe they would get more people in and out next time. The woman at the hostess stand was nice but was definitely overwhelmed with the phone and people coming in. There should have been two on that night. If there was a second hostess there that night, they were not there when the phone was ringing off the wall and the one greeting is was overwhelmed. Our waitress was wonderful and I would give her five stars. None of this was her fault. She worked her butt off. I watched her work those tables going non stop checking on everyone. She had a great personality and she was always trying to make things right when they were going bad for us. We could tell she cared and they need more like her. The young man bringing food to the tables was so confused with the temporary table set up in the function room that he did not know table numbers and he kept trying to find correct tables. The water pitcher filled with the water they pour into all of drinking glasses on the tables in the function room sits just outside the entry way to the function room. It basically sits in the main front lobby of the restaurant opposite of the hostess stand where everyone walking in and out of the restaurant passes by. This to me is unsanitary because there is a high risk of someone sneezing or talking who lets out spit when speaking as they pass by that high traffic area. That function room was cold with a constant draft with the door open because the front door opens and closes non stop. Time to tell you about our food experience. Apps were special for the night and the waitress suggested the mushrooms. We ordered them and waited. We got our bread and waited. Drinks came and we still waited. We waited over a half hour and we got lobster/Crab cakes. We told the waitress and she said she would order the mushrooms but to enjoy the app we got at no charge. They were good and we liked them. I ordered a special Valentine's Day Cocktail with sparkle but I could not see it unless I held the light on the phone up to it. We waited and waited and the mushrooms finally came but by now we had been there one an a half hours. The mushrooms were very good and the only good thing about the dinner. Our salads came and they were ok not bad about average. Then my fish casserole came and my husband's Saltimbocca. His dish was bland and he only eat one chicken breast. This is unusual for him. My dish, honestly was the worst casserole of any fish casserole that I have ever had. My best and only description is that it tasted like dirty water. No butter, just yucky brown fish water, I am guessing and some awful spice. I literally could only eat four bites of it. Our waitress noticed that I did not eat it and asked if everything was ok. We were honest with her and she took it off our bill. It was that bad that I could only eat a few bites. Later that night we both had a sick stomach feeling. We both still had it the next day but it got better as the day went on and by night it was gone. My husband and I dine at many places all over the Boston area and at many different price levels. I feel my reviews are fair and I should do more of them considering how many places I dine and my experience. I felt this one needed one because they can make positive corrections and get back to where they were when we liked going there. The apps that night were very good but they need to step back and work on other areas they are lacking. Correct the areas that can easily be corrected. Sometimes places grow and get too big and they forget where they started.

Yelp
We had such a nice time at Toscana's. It was a family gathering for Valentine's Day. Reservations were made and honored. There's plenty of space for family gathering or even something like a party of 8 which is the size we had reservations for. I'll be honest, from the outside it looked a little bit sketchy and I almost missed it but to be fair it was dark and chilly out. There was plenty of parking in the lot so that's not a worry. The staff was super nice and our host was very attentive and helpful as well. The owner came by to check on us too and see how everything was going. We got a variety of dishes for dinner and they were all plentiful and filling. It was so filling we ended up taking some home. Every single dish was good to the taste buds!!! They also had some menu items for kids, it's not pictured but we got spaghetti and meatballs and ravioli. There's also a variety of cocktails and drinks on the menu. Honestly, this is a good Italian spot to go out to in the North shore! I would definitely return again.

Mark B.

Yelp
Had a fantastic dinner with excellent service and food that was delicious. We celebrated an anniversary and were well taken care of. Veal parmigiana with eggplant and seafood casserole were our main dishes. Started with shrimp scampi bruschetta that was so good. Finished with Tiramisu done the right way. Thank you to the staff for making this an awesome experience.

Sara B.

Yelp
Wonderful people and food. Great customer service! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. My food was deliciou!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
This is a great place for functions! It's located near so many wedding venues. If you have a couple minutes, take a look at the menu. You'll want to drive up and have dinner there tonight!

Michael R.

Yelp
Meals were very good. Nice menu selection. I had the seafood stir-fry (pictured here). Our waitress Francesca has a great personality which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Our only criticism, it's a little bit noisy.

Gerald S.

Yelp
Excellent food, service. A bit noisy but it's supposed to be. Great bar. The menu and wine list is very good, to say the least.

Yelp
So , I ordered for delivery and when I got my ordered , it was missing two pizzas . I called the restaurant and they asked me if I could ask the DoorDash driver to come back for the pizzas . What kind of joke is that ? The DoorDash delivery drivers don't work for that establishment dependently. How would the girl on the phone even dare to suggest it? Whoever is taking care of the online orders failed today. I won't be ordering from this restaurant again.
