Jake Shane's Westside Restaurant Advice - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This is my favorite LA institution. We usually get a burrata and then I get the shrimp and white beans. I get angel hair, but you have to ask for it aglio e olio…it's not on the menu. If you ask very politely, they'll do it—you have to be comfortable taking a risk. If it's a good Italian restaurant in LA, they'll do that. Toscana also has the best truffle pizza in Los Angeles. You must go to Toscana and get it. Seriously, it is divine." - brennan carley

Giada De Laurentiis’s Favorite Restaurants In Los Angeles - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"“Pasta with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes,” says Giada of her go-to order at Toscana, a Brentwood (and Hollywood power player) staple for more than 30 years. She also calls it the LA restaurant pasta closest in taste and execution to what you’ll find in the kitchens of Italy." - brennan carley

Fun lunch with my bestie who comes here often with her mom. I’m not sure why it was my first time, but I’ve been missing out. We shared a half dozen order of the oysters, a salad, a pasta and a pizza. They were kind enough to serve the pasta already portioned separately. Everything was delightful. We both ended up having a little bit of leftovers which we both took to go and finished at home.

We stopped by for happy hour. The menu was quite extensive. We ordered the truffle mushroom pizza. Initially there was a mini mishap, we got a wrong pizza with tomato sauce and no truffle. The server was gracious and immediately replaced it for us. The pizza was over flowing with good amount of mushroom and flavor was excellent. You can see they did not skimp on ingredients. $14 for that? Totally worth it!

Wife wanted to try this place for a while and definitely did not disappoint. The risotto was definitely one of the better ones. Wife and kids loved the risotto. The calamari was a great portion for family to share. What stood out here the most was the service. Service was impeccable here. Will frequent this place!

Google
Pretty good. The service was really great, a lot of attentive staff. The olive oil and bread were good, and we got the caesar salad. Ordering the salad, we asked for anchovies on the side, the waiter did not notify us that the anchovies didn't come with the salad and that is was extra, so that miscommunication was an extra ~$4 and that's where the 4 stars are as a result. The entree branzino was amazing and good atmosphere.

I had the most amazing craving I’ve fettuccine Alfredo… Chicken, fettuccine Alfredo and I did not regret coming here. The hostess was extremely cool and very helpful as I needed to be guided here because I got lost lol she was so cool she stayed on the phone with me for about five minutes and helped me find my way here, and I was so grateful.! The bread, the appetizer bread I should say order the butter it is absolutely delicious! Get two types. I enjoyed the soft bread, but when I got my chicken fettuccine Alfredo? I was immediately in heaven I love the size of the noodles, and I comped it with a glass of lemonade I found the service to be exceptionally friendly. I was very grateful I love the atmosphere, and I can’t say enough good things about my waiter. If you want an elegant experience that ironically is in the middle of one of the biggest outdoor malls in Los Angeles, then find your way here! I had a cappuccino that I mixed with sweet sugar and it was the perfect finish the lovely evening I would’ve eaten so much bread I would’ve ordered dessert lol

The foods are okay with a lot of different choices of pasta, pizza and other main dishes. However, does not feel welcomed by the manager and staff from stepping in the restaurant. We get very annoying that that waiting keep trying to clear plate while there are still foods in there and without asking if we want to keep it or not. It feel like they want to rush you to get next course. Even after they clear the starter plate, it still take ages to get served main course. I order a non alcoholic spicy mango cocktail which suppose to come with Tajin rink but it did not. I get a plain mango lime juice instead. I have to ask where is the spicy? Very disappointed

Google
Incredible quality food and service. The tuna was seared to perfection and more impressively the tomatoes were so bright and rich with amazing flavor. The martini exploded with summer flavors of peach and it was incredibly smooth. I always have a great dining experience here, even with my high standards of excellence.

Google
I always pass by this restaurant and been wanting to try it out. As a last minute choice, we decided to dine here with friends. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t meet its expectations. First of all the food, bread, and drinks took forever to come. When we got our drinks, they barely had alcohol in them. When we got the bread, most of them were old/stale. The only thing I’d recommend is the Funghi Pizza, even though the crust was a bit burnt. The food lacks of flavors. We were excited about the truffle spaghetti, but for the price, didn’t meet its expectation. All you tasted was truffle, it lacked salt, parmesan, pepper, something was missing. I would not recommend getting the Brussel sprouts at all, very tasteless and undercooked. The fish branzino itself wasn’t bad, but again, the potato skins were tasteless, we didn’t even know what we were eating. For the price, not worth going. I would not recommend this place, I am sorry.

Yelp
Came here for a date night and overall the food and experience were fine. We didn't have to wait for a table which was nice, and the ambiance made for a pleasant dinner setting. We ordered two pastas, the calamari, and a couple of drinks. The calamari was probably the highlight and I really liked the dipping sauces that came with it. The pastas, though, were just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable either, especially for the price. It's a bit on the expensive side for what you get, but if you're looking for a low-key spot with a nice atmosphere, it's not a bad option.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place out for a while now and finally earlier today I met my cousins for lunch. First of all let's start from the hostess. I asked her for a table outside she said she can't sit us outside cause we asked for a high chair for my niece. I said ok and she sat us all the way in the back right by the kitchen where all you can hear is pits & pans and employees shouting while working. Anyways I regret not leaving or asked her to be moved... Our waiter was friendly, pleasant and attentive. The bread they served was fresh and warm and we enjoyed it with olive oil and vinegar. We ordered the panzanella salad and the artichoke salad and both tasted ok, nothing spectacular. Our main dishes were more disappointing. Very average tasting food with high prices. My gnocchi was like a frozen meal reheated, that's how it felt. I don't want to list every dish one by one but overall food was average tasting. Not horrible but not good either. The tamarind cocktail I had was not what I expected, nothing like the ones I've had in other restaurants. This restaurant is so nice and has a great location that is inviting but I'm not sure if I'll ever come back. For the four of us we paid $260 for lunch (plus tip) (includes 2 drinks) ..

Yelp
This place was good, but not mind blowing! It is in a great location, next to Javier's on the front of the mall. The service was quick though our server wasn't the warmest. We tried the bufala mozarella appetizer which I don't think was quite worth the $20 price tag with only five tomato slices and a single leaf of basil. The bread basket was lovely with three different types of bread, served with our apps. I tried the penne pomodoro because I wasn't feeling something super fancy and I added chicken to it for a $6 charge. The chicken add was definitely worth it and there was a lot of chicken in there that was well cooked and flavorful. I liked the sauce - it was bright and acidic and definitely tasted home made. I came in on a Wednesday evening and I got to be seated right away because we looked online and saw that there were a ton of open reservations.

Yelp
Food is good, staff is great! Melissa at the bar always remembers our names and is an absolute joy! Her energy is something we always look forward to. Try the Linguine with Clams, Orecchiette with Sausage and or a pizza. Happy hour is one of the best in Century City.

Yelp
Toscanova is the oldest surviving restaurant in the Westfield Century City mall. It's an Italian white tablecloth upscale type of place. It's pricey for dinner but it's a nice place to celebrate or have a fancy date night. Before the pandemic I came here for the more laid back happy hour at the bar and outside patio. This was my first time back post-pandemic and though prices have doubled (inflation sucks), the menu has stayed pretty much the same offering wonderful and generous Italian food and cocktails at more affordable prices. In the past my go-to for Happy Hour was the baked rigatoni with eggplant and tomato sauce. I'm really particular about how my eggplant is cooked and they got it right every single time. This time around my table ordered the pesto gnocchi, penne arrabiatta, parmesan truffle fries and tomato sauce and mozzarella pizza. The cocktail that was ordered was the cucumber splash. Everything was delicious. The cocktail was refreshing. The fries were good but they went light on the truffle sauce as I did not taste it. The tomato sauce and mozzarella pizza was a small individualized pizza and it tasted fresh out of the oven with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese and a delightful crunch. Both pastas were good but the pesto gnocchi was my favorite because I am a huge pesto fan and the combo of gnocchi and pesto melted in my mouth. This is a great place to have Happy Hour with friends but it's also a comfortable spot to grab a nice solo Happy Hour meal or drink and feel comfortable dining alone. They have a big screen TV at the bar which is also nice. They also gave us a complimentary bread basket which was a nice touch. Service was excellent. I felt so welcomed. When we left they thanked us for coming. It was a lovely experience. Another reason this place is cool: They validate parking! Woohoo!

Yelp
This restaurant has a lovely vibe and decor plus the waitstaff worked hard and provided very good service. BUT...the kitchen is not measuring up. My wife and I went out with her parents for dinner and all of us had the same reaction...meh. The food was plated nicely, cooked well but kind of flavorless. Most everything from the fresh asparagus soup and minestrone to the branzino just lacked seasoning and flavor. And at roughly $50 a head that isn't going to compel us to come back.

Yelp
Overall so mid. Ambiance is elegant and classy, and it's located right in Century City Westfield Mall. The service was efficient, but a bit rude. Every interaction felt oddly rushed even though the restaurant was pretty empty. The appetizers were decent, but no standouts except the risotto. The mains were too expensive for the quality.

Yelp
The seasonal Italian menu in March 2025 is really unbelievable. Mussels in white wine. Truffle sliced pizza. Broccoli soup. Breaded ricotta-stuffed squash flowers (which we got 2 orders of, it was so good), Fried salmon cheek. Calamari, Marinara & Cream Sauce. Utterly off the charts flaovrs, served prompt & hot. Excellent. The one annoying downside (and the reason this isn't a 5-star review) was I'd explicitly requested Pellegrino from our waiter who assured me they had it & the server came & started pouring Acqua Panna. When I tried to stop her, she said (quote), "It's the same thing..." until our waiter rushed over to correct her & she swapped out our glasses & got a actual bottle of Pellegrino - quite annoyed.

Yelp
I love surprises and you never... never expect that inside a mall you are going to find lentil soup, a delicious Mediterranean salad and the surprise that you will never expect "veal Osso Buco with cooked bone marrow" you have to have to believe it!!! I'm always looking for something special and this plate is awesome, tell you a great surprise. Service is mostly Latino from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador... happy faces with a big smile and friendly comments... you feel welcome all the way...good Martini and a good list of local wines... It's a mall the Century City Mall but once you are in, it's like a nice restaurant with gas heaters for the terrace and table cloths, bright glasses I tell you good that they are there, it's nice to find something that you don't expect...

Yelp
I got here quite often with people who love this place. I'd say the service, ambiance and wine is a solid 10/10- and for that I enjoy it very much. But unfortunately the food is quite mediocre. I've tried something from each section of food options and I think my favorite had been their bread basket and hazelnut gelato.

Yelp
Overall, I wasn't blown away by Toscanova. The food was good but nothing outstanding. Their outdoor patio is pleasant, but the table we were sat at was a bit tight and it was right up against the window and door to the restaurant. The spaghetti frutti di mare was dry, we had to ask for more sauce and they charged us for it. Considering the price of each dish, it seems odd for them to charge extra for something like that. The rigatoni was good but could've had a touch more sauce. For dessert we ordered tiramisu, which was good, had a lot of cream, and had too much cocoa on top. The waitstaff were nice, but not extremely attentive. Because of these different factors, I am only giving 3 stars. I would come back and try other things but I don't feel the need to rush back.

Yelp
I've only been here twice but it's been amazing both times. Toscana has a limited menu and only offers beer and wine whine its sister restaurant right next door, Bar Toscana has a wider variety of menu items and a full bar. At Toscana they offer you this veggie medley which includes carrots, celery, radishes and bell peppers... we skipped this. But the house flat bread is yummy. For appetizers we started with the burrata, basic house salad, and calabrese pizza (not pictured). All were delicious! For our entrees we got the pomodoro, bolognese and the off menu penne vodka. The penne vodka was definitely the star! You have to ask for it as they will not mention it. It's a very tiny bright restaurant with a homey older vibe. Whereas Bar Toscana, next door, is a MUCH younger crowd with a darker moody ambiance. We prefer to go there first and enjoy a couple cocktails before going next door for dinner.

Yelp
The service was amazing. Carmelo was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was great but not as great as Carmelo. :) Thanks for an amazing time!

Yelp
We missed Happy Hour by a minute. :( We wound up staying for dinner on the patio which matches the old school Italian restaurant style. Their old fashion isn't quite as good as it used to be. We got a seafood pasta special with bucatini, sausage with orrechiete and rapini. Servers were very attentive.

Yelp
Had a fantastic lunch at Toscanova last week... Service was excellent and food came out quickly. Ambiance was great...we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful LA weather. Food was overall delicious. We were a party of 5 and had pasta, fish, chicken, salad, and a few sides. It was all great. Prices are on the higher side but nothing crazy for Century City. We'll definitely return.

Yelp
While I'm appreciating the inviting atmosphere, the amp and expectation combination is high... some things are perfect and some things are far from. I am enjoying the warmth in every aspect. The black truffle pizza is a tinge salty, yet the best I've had. The crust, the best I've had. With a side salad, I'm in heaven!!! Generous portions. The table oil and vinegar are delicious too! My recommendations for food choices, 100% the black truffle pizza with any paring. The pizza is very satisfying!!! The salt magnifies the next day. The improvement recommendations will be better served w discretion. Enjoy! Buon apatito!

Yelp
toscanova is a pretty consistent restaurant in the westfield century city mall. the restaurant is beautiful and very classy, and the service is generally pretty good. i usually order a vodka rigatoni pasta (off the menu) with chili flakes, which i highly recommend. the filet with arugula salad is good as well; but make sure they get it the temperature you'd like! the fried calamari is very good for appetizers. their chocolate soufflé is delicious.

Stacey L.

Yelp
HORRIBLE SERVICE! I visited today with my family for Mother's Day, and the experience was a total disappointment. It took 25 minutes just to take our order--even though the place wasn't busy. And even if it were....there is no excuse. Then, 45 minutes later, the server came back and asked us what we ordered again. No food, no apology--just attitude. We ended up leaving. A complete waste of our evening. Unprofessional and low-class service. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Maybe it's for the best because reading the reviews the food seems mediocre at best.
google avatar

Lizzy R.

Yelp
I think this place is great! Not sure why the aggregate rating is only 3 stars but based on the taste of the food, ambiance & service - id rate it a solid 4 stars. Toscanova is located on the ground floor of Century City mall off of Santa Monica Blvd next to Javier's and across from Bacio gelato shop. The place is fairly large with both outdoor and indoor seating. The menu has a wide range of Italian staples like tricolore salad, pizzas, pastas and mains/proteins. They give u complimentary bread which was warm and tasty. All the food was delicious and the servers were nice & provided great service. The only reason I'm omitting one star off is because the prices were a tad bit higher than what I think other comparable places charge. If you want good Italian food, this place is worth trying.
google avatar

Liv B.

Yelp
The meatball was lukewarm, and both the pappardelle and branzino were just okay--nothing was outstanding. While our waiter was very friendly, I was concerned that he didn't wash his hands after blowing his nose in the middle of the restaurant, especially before deboning the fish for us.
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Ya know, I really thoroughly enjoy our visits here! I've tried to like Zinque upstairs because it's younger, hip, less traditional & I leave there every time like - meh. The wines have let me down there. But Toscanova has been a pleasant surprise every time!! The service fits the white tablecloths. I am never thirsty for a water refill because my glass is always topped off. The bread is unremarkable but I still love having a table side olive oil and vinegar to make my own dipping plate. My husband loves the pizza. I'm preferable to the eggplant Parmesan. I like the ambiance and the patio screening. It's removed enough from the shops it doesn't quite feel like the mall but you can still people watch. The interior and bar are traditional Italian restaurant vibes of the aughts. She looks good though! It's comfy and cozy and I've never experienced a wait. If you are in the mood for Italian, this is your spot at the Westfield mall.

Yelp
Reservations recommended. Busy at night. So pretty right now with all the holiday decor. Kids had a hearty steak and chicken Milanese. Lamb chops are delicious too. Drinks are tasty. A consistently good and easy choice for a nice meal.

Yelp
Food was healthy, fresh and delicious. Ordered 1) Tonno Primavera - marinated tuna in olive oil with potato, string beans, olives, cherry tomatoes and friseé; and 2) Branzino with sauteed spinach. The Tonno Primavera was a perfectly satisfying dinner salad. The mouthwatering Branzino was cooked to perfection. Low salt, low sugar - these are excellent dishes if you are health-conscious. Service was prompt and excellent. Alessandra was courteous, professional, well-poised, friendly, and timely with each check-in. Mari was great and ensured that my glass of water was never empty. The water is delicious, too. Ambiance was serene, tranquil, sophisticated and just the right amount of lively. Highly recommend this restaurant, and the team effort here. Many thanks to Agostino Sciandri and the Sciandri Family for delivering an excellent culinary experience to all, whether you are fine-dining or taking a break from shopping!

Yelp
This restaurant is ok. The good is ok. The ambience is ok. But for the pricing it's super expensive and they could do better. They also include a 4% surcharge! No where does it say that. Just fyi for those dining here like I did.

Yelp
Great family style Italian restaurant with great service. Servers are fast and friendly. Must try their wine selection. The cocktails were great too. The lasagna was probably the most unique I've ever tried; doesn't look like your generic lasagna stack, but tastes amazing with plenty of flavor. Risotto was served in a very large portion with an assortment of seafood. Servers know not to bug you every few minutes if you're in the middle of conversation. Great sit down spot to hang at.

Yelp
Thank you Jose for helping me celebrate my BFF's birthday! You and the rest of the staff (especially the hostess) were gracious, kind and accommodating and you made her (us) feel very special. The food was amazing! From the Buffalo Mozzarella, warm bread, Branzino and Bolognese to the Apple Tarte Tatin, everything was delicious. The fountain on the patio added to the lovely ambiance and enhanced our enjoyment of an indulgent afternoon. The Brunello was excellent as well Thank you, thank you!

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for about easily over a decade now, maybe two, and still love going here. Even though it is located in the mall at the Westfield Century City, they are able to maintain their quality of food and service. Their food ingredients are always fresh and remain to be authentic Italian style of cuisine. I love their fresh grilled calamari salad and I've been ordering this for decades! I love everything else, but this one I always order. Their service is consistently good, and they seem to always do a great job in suggesting food choices. The ambiance is always good, and the location can't be beat because it's right there in the mall at Century City. Unfortunately, just like any other restaurants in the whole Westfield, they do not validate if you parked in the mall. So make sure that you are aware of the charges of the mall's parking.

Yelp
Service here was amazing, our server helped us select between the options we were having a hard time deciding on. The restaurant is cute and a decent size, I liked that they were friendly with my daughter. Her Mac and cheese was so cheesy and good. We also ordered the lamb and octopus carpaccio to split- everything tasted perfect. The lamb was cooked so well it felt like it melted in my mouth.

Yelp
HORRIBLE! Went here for Valentines dinner as a gay couple and were noticeably treated worse than other couples from start to finish. They didn't honor our indoor reservation, served our food to the wrong people, put precedence over other couples who got there later than us, and the front staff particularly (two women) were extremely hostile and rude. They loudly would announce they were seating first whoever they liked the most. How are we supposed to take that? They were so classless in particular. Worst of all, the food was TERRIBLE. Service was terrible. Cold foods that seem like they came from a frozen dinner, bad quality, all around bad!! It's like an extremely expensive Olive Garden. Would never come back. It is laughable to call this an Italian restaurant. Pure evil vibes.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant, disappointing food at Toscanova last week. My appetizer included a warm seafood salad with muscles, shrimp, octopus and scallop. It was not good at all. The seafood was severely overcooked to the point that it was like rubber. Not only was it not cooked well, it tasted like nothing. No flavor, no seasoning. It was bad. For an appetizer I also had the black truffle risotto which was undercooked. Flavor wise, you can't go wrong with truffle, so at least it tasted good even though it was al dente. Entrée were the veal chop and lamb chop. Those had to be some of the smallest lamb chops I've ever gotten. The meat portion was about the size of a quarter. Not only was the serving tiny, they were charred on the backside as well. The broccolini that came with them was so overcooked it had the texture of boiled spinach and the potatoes were dry. The veal chop flavor was good, and the mushroom sauce a very nice compliment to the meat, however I asked for my meat to be cooked to medium rare and it was medium. Service was slow and the food was not $225 worth.

Yelp
Even though I had a friend who had worked here, I never found the time to stop in until recently when it was suggested by another friend. We started off with the bread basket which was probably one of the best parts. Although pasta is usually my go-to at these kind of places, for some reason I decided to go with a chicken caesar salad. Of course, we also ordered fries and these had rosemary mixed in. I happen to enjoy rosemary but for those of you who don't, I'm sure you can ask for it to be omitted. The salad was just okay. Chicken didn't taste that good, but the dressing was fine. Discovered some croutons towards the bottom of the dish. The other party enjoyed their default salad they always get (I swear it had tuna in it but I cannot find it on their online menu for my life). Service was a hit or miss. She was pleasant, but forgetful in the sense where I asked for a lemon with my water about three times. I don't do this to trick them, I do this because I actually want it, and yet she failed to bring it many times. Little slow to getting our bill as well, and by then we couldn't wait to get out of there. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. Glad I finally visited, but I really don't have the drive to return anytime soon.

Yelp
Dinner was ok. Pasta was well cooked but lacked a ton of flavor. Desserts were delicious and restaurant is beautiful. I will say while service was great for most of the night, towards to end, a waitress was clearing some things off our table as we sat there and chatted. She lost balance of a glass and it hit my friend in the face and fell to the table, spilling ice and the remaining liquid on her hair, face and clothes. While the waitress was very apologetic and brought extra napkins--no one from management came over to acknowledge what happened and apologize which is the LEAST they could do so that was disappointing!

Yelp
Food was fine. Not great but fine. Wine selection is bleak, but what really stood out was how bad the service was. Everyone was nice but it was incredibly inattentive and slow, and I fear I have had more proficient service at the Cheesecake Factory. We had to get up from our table for numerous occasions to get assistance, including but not limited to: - Getting our own menus from the host stand after we were seated without them and waited for some time for someone to bring. - Finding the server so we could order. - Finding a server so we could get Parmesan on our pasta (they dumped the food at the table and never did a touch after). - Find someone to give us our bill after waiting 30 minutes for it. - Finding someone to correct our bill after we were improperly charged on it. All in all the service took 2 hours and we had no wine and only 1 course (aside for 2 salads). And the restaurant was half empty yet for some reason they have crammed so many tables in you can't even get up without hitting the table behind you. For all of the delicious food in the mall, including at Eataly only a short distance away, sadly I think there are better options. Might be good for a business lunch where you want to be left alone and don't care what you have to pay to get it?

Yelp
We were shopping and stopped at Toscanova for lunch. Our party gravitated towards the black truffle menu. We had the carpaccio with Fontana cheese and black truffles as well as the pasta with black truffles with rose wine. The waiters were attentive and on top of things. We sat on the outdoors patio and it was lovely. The carpaccio was very blend and not seasoned well (with added salt it was more palatable) but the pasta dish was right on. I would return just for that, convenience and ambiance.

Yelp
A poor excuse for an Italian restaurant! We had the fried calamari/zucchini, pasta bolognese, chicken Milanese. The pasta was tasteless, and the calamari, zucchini and calamari all had the appearance of having been taken from a freezer bag and and deep fried. The quality of the chicken and calamari was so poor I'd give this no stars if possible, don't waste your money.

Yelp
Food was fine, but the one thing I'm really mad about was that the waiter did not ask us if we wanted to validate our parking. We overheard him asking another table, but he didn't ask us. Parking validation would be good for 3 hours of free parking. We left and went back to the restaurant later to get validated by the front desk employee. Because we had to make a second trip back though, we exited at 3 hours and 10 minutes and had to pay $14 for parking instead of $0.

Yelp
Food was decent. Wine good. Notified mgmt it was illegal to charge hidden fees (after we paid as just a courtesy convo) and he said "My name is Giuseppe sue me... we will win"... major let down and better close by

Yelp
The only reason we tried this place was because we had no reservations at Javier's and we wanted to get a quick bite. Javier's was full, the bar had no seats, and had over an hour wait so we were pleased that there were lots of open tables here instead. Upon walking in, there wasn't really someone in charge in the front and we had to flag someone down with our eyes. Once we got seated our wait staff was very attentive. We ordered wine, beet salad, fried calamari, and buffalo mozzarella to start. The wine was great and the food tasted fine. The dishes seemed to be outdated. The beet salad had many mixed greens just thrown about and the beets and goat cheese were hidden underneath. The beets weren't cold either, they were rather room temp and mushy. The mozzarella was on top of green beans which felt odd but were fresh nonetheless and you can't go wrong with veggies and quality olive oil. Fried calamari was good too, it just had really big chunks of calamari and had ladle like sauce container which I didn't prefer as I would have like to dip my calamari in. We decided to order black truffle risotto as our last dine in meal and a tiramisu to go. Sadly the risotto was undercooked and was too ricey -- had too much of a bite to it. We ended up not finishing it. The tiramisu was delish but again was enjoyed at home. Ambiance was decent, it is giving run of the mill italian restaurants. There were definitely loud rambunctious italians working there and we overheard some of them fighting over who was gonna go on break. All in all a decent experience but we likely won't be going back. If you're in a pinch and need good food I would go to Del Frisco's.

Yelp
*BIG TIP DO NOT GO TO CENTURY CITY MALL 3 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS!* I am traumatized from all the visual, audio and sooo many people experience, I need to take in a lot of breaths. Too much stimulation and I was ill prepared... Overstimulation and bombastic energy intermingled with beautiful live Christmas songs being sung. I MISS NEW YORK CITY BEYOND WORDS! ---------------- However, before venturing inside, we ate here... High top seating was so cozy near the bar. Our "person" was charming and clearly a friend of my friend Jack. Lovely service and beautiful surroundings, we had a leisurely and lovely lunch here this afternoon before going to the movie theatre to see AMERICAN FICTION! The tricolor salad ( well dressed and flavorful) and crusty bread were perfect. The entrees we both had were good, but frankly, when you're from New York, and have experienced unbelievable Italian Foods most of your life, this restaurant only gets four stars. This restaurant is classy and well managed and deserves to be patronized by any person reading this. My friend eats there all the time! I will definitely return, and hopefully the next time they will blow my mind causing me to change my review to five stars! As always, hanging with my friend Jack is a wonderful time! So much laughter!!! Happy Holidays to all of my YELP ELITE family and friends. May every celebration be filled with love, joy, laughter and peace...

Yelp
Mid food ngl, the pizza does have a char on it but I'm pretty sure it is not wood fired. The oven isn't even burning. Pasta was mid same as the pizza. Honestly cpk pizza taste better and is higher quality. Don't even try to get the skinny martini with the help voucher, it's outdated lots of better Italian restaurants in Hollywood and in century city. But ambience is good ig, server was nice GRAZIEEE

Yelp
It was dinnertime at the Century City mall, just a few days before Xmas. Many shoppers all descended on the restaurants at the same time, making getting a table a bit of a challenge. Eataly was full. Javier's had a 45 minute wait. Toscanova had availability and outdoor seating. Good enough at the time. Service was friendly but short staffed. They were hustling and we appreciated it. We ordered the seafood salad and the pappardelle with wild boar ragu. The pasta was a little more al dente than I like, but it was fine and the sauce was delicious. Portion was just right and the dish came out hot. The seafood salad, though very large and well presented, was very bland. The seafood had little to no flavor (calamari, shrimp) and the frisee lettuce was unappealing. Added salt & pepper did not improve the situation so we left it mostly uneaten. Overall, a mixed bag so the 3 star review feels fair. Probably an easy fix with the salad. If you go, have the pasta!

Yelp
Went here to meet friends for dinner before a movie. Good food! Good service. Got lucky with that we were seated quickly when the restaurant was very busy. Patio area was nice.

Yelp
First time eating at this restaurant, it was a take out order that took a bit longer than promised. They charged me a 4% surcharge to pay for employee compensation and insurance benefits however nowhere on the menu or the prices was this posted. It was not until the next day I saw the charge on my receipt. I called the restaurant to have this refunded as it was not posted and/or brought to my attention. Any other restaurant that imposes a surcharge removes it at the customers request. If the 4% isn't posted they cannot legally charge the fee.

Yelp
Average at best ~ for LA standards!! Had their peach and arugula salad , Whole grilled branzino and two pasta dishes& dessert . Honestly the pane cota was the tastiest on the menu. Not saying the place is bad but for price $$ you pay , it's just average . Service was good and the staff were very friendly.
