Food here was mediocre, service was mediocre too. It’s a good place for late night food if nowhere else is open. The service wasn’t great. The waitress was hard to get a hold of if I needed something/needed the check. The flavors of the galbi tang was not there, tasted like water.. I wouldn’t come back here though, try a different Korean place down the street for better food and service

Google
I went here with some friends yesterday for a pretty late (by my standards) dinner at around 9 pm. It was quite enjoyable - we ordered mandu, kimchi pancake, and a big hot pot of pork ribs to share. This is a great place to come with others.

Google
Where can you eat decent Korean food anytime—24/7? Their food quality is consistently good. Their dinner portions are generous. I ordered galbitang and gamjatang, both served in large bowls. Even the kimchi side dish was presented generously, with no skimping.

It’s breaking my heart to write this but I feel like I have to let people know. I’ve been a customer of Tosokchon for several years. They’ve been a solid go to for late night comfort food. However I recently ordered a kimchi jjigae and dumplings for delivery and I found pantry moth larvae (according to google images) in my soup. I submitted the issue with uber and uber refunded the soup because of their policy…but the lack of outreach from the restaurant is really disappointing. They only comped the soup and this was a week ago. I don’t know how the larvae got in there but the fact that it’s larvae and rice cakes are a staple pantry item it makes me wonder about their food quality. So take this as a caution….

Been coming here for a few years and it is consistently a wonderful time. The food is amazing and the staff is both nice and accommodating. As you can see from the pictures, the food was so good we forgot to take pictures until we were halfway done with each dish. Amazing place, definitely recommend.

Google
This is the kind of place I look for when I am seeking a Korean restaurant. It has a lot of touches that make you feel like you are at a restaurant in South Korea. This includes the tableware of metal chopsticks and spoons. The menu is small but has many classic korean dishes on it. The flavor of the food was amazing. It was spicy but not burning your mouth hot. The kimchi that was served tasted home made and was quite crisp and flavorful. A couple of things to note. The menu needs prices on the items on both sides. Some items also seem on the expensive side for what they are. The service was great. It was the manager as the server for us.

Google
The banchan/side dishes were SALTY! They will give you refills but with an attitude. The Seafood Pancake is delicious and it has a lot of crunch. Squid is a bit chewy. Intestines Tofu Soup is clean and great! Dolsot Bibimbab is yummy! The food is good, don’t get me wrong, but the service is TERRIBLE. They gave me the side eyes when I asked for more side dishes, but it was limited. I only got 4 pieces of kimchi radish and 2 spoonfuls of kimchi. The other side dish is radish and jalapeño in soy sauce, and I got 5 pieces of radishes and 3 pieces of jalapeños. I usually ask for 1 refill at other Korean restaurants, but here, I needed 3 refills because of their side dish portions.

I went there for a late night dinner. Service was great. Food was great. huge portion. Nice owner.

Yelp
Was craving some Korean food for lunch at work so decided to Uber eats at this location. I ordered the bulgolgi bibimbap and my friend a tofu stew. I loved my bibimbap but my friend felt her stew was a bit too spicy. Service takes awhile, my food took over an hour to make and deliver so be thoughtful about ordering ahead if you have a short lunch break. Will have to visit the actual location sometime to get a sense of the vibe but would definitely order again.

Yelp
I ordered from Uber Eats. The galbitang has three pieces of meat, and the fourth one is a bone. There are no glass noodles! It's ridiculously expensive, especially when one of the main ingredients is water! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS EXPENSIVE PLACE!

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday night and it was packed. It felt a little awkward because there was no host nearby and there was a counter in the back that looked like it was for takeout. After waiting for 5 minutes, someone helped us. Beware of the water they give you, as it tasted like there was tea or something infused in it. It's not bad, but I didn't like it. The prices seemed reasonable and the food was good for a late night spot. This place has the best kimchi in my opinion: full of flavor, fermented properly, and not too spicy. I got the beef short rib soup (Galbi Tang) and it was comforting. I felt like they definitely could add more meat and noodles, but it was still good after a long night of clubbing. The other soups sounded interesting to try as well, without it being spicy. The spicy chicken was okay. I thought it would have a nice and crispy outer layer. The chicken had flavor, but I do not think it's worth $28. I'm giving this place 4 stars because the food was good for a 24 hour spot. Food wise only, I would rate this 3.5 stars.

Yelp
Tosokchon is always a great choice, no matter the time of day. On my most recent visit, I ended up there around 3 a.m. after hanging out in Clarendon. My friends and I were a little tipsy and craving some warm Korean soup. We ordered the Seafood Pancake and Sundubu; Sundubu is perfect when you're trying to sober up (or just need a hangover cure). It was pretty busy, but we didn't have to wait too long for a table. If you're in the mood for a late-night bite, I definitely recommend Tosokchon.
google avatar

Ken L.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Open 24/7. Many a times I had to figure out what tk eat at 2:30 am and I wanted beef! Look no further, they are open all the time! The seasoning on their meats are excellent and generous portions. The banchan selection (accompanying sides) are quite limited when I ate and only got kimchi and pickled daikon. The service usually seems off-putting since the times I went I always had to either ask for something twice or remind them about what we requested earlier.
google avatar

Neida P.

Yelp
My friends and i came here around 12 am for a late night meal and it did not disappoint. The servers attended us quickly and offered water and the food came out fast as well. We ordered the galbi, bulgogi, and fried dumplings which were all delicious and perfect shareable plates!! It was 3 of us and we didn't quite finish but it sure was a lot of food which was nice considering the prices are a little higher.
google avatar

Yaran S.

Yelp
We went adventurous and ordered the steamed ox knee which was a rare find. The portion was big and the quality was very good. Later on my Korean friend told me this is very popular among Korean people. Soondae was OK but not the best I've had in Annadale. Service was mediocre. We had a difficult time communicating with the staff because they all barely spoke English -- a sign that this is an authentic place.
google avatar

Ebony L.

Yelp
I ordered the La Galbi, and it was absolutely delicious--tender, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. The portion size was generous, and every bite was packed with that smoky, savory goodness. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure everything was just right. If you're craving authentic and satisfying Korean BBQ, this is the place to go!
google avatar

Julie O.

Yelp
Gopchang jungol (intestine stew, feeds 3+), chunggookjang (fermented soybean stew) and grilled mackerel is why we come here. Cant make it at home because our house would smell for days! Good portion, consistent flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
Open 24/7 is absolutely insane for anything other than fast food. There's a good amount of seating and they also accommodate large parties. I ordered the sundubu jjigae (tofu soup) with medium spice and it was solid! Not the best in the area, but it hits the spot in a pinch. It's not nearly spicy enough, if at all, so I would up the spice level next time I'm here. There's not much to say about this place, it's a solid Korean restaurant with a wide variety of dishes!
google avatar

Tommy Y.

Yelp
Not many 24/7 food places in the area, but I'm glad this one is around for those random late night foodie outings. They serve a good variety of typical Korean dishes, ranging from BBQ meats to soups and noodles. The main dish we got was the Modeum Soondae: Korean Sausage with Pork Slices, Stomach, & Liver. The food was pretty good, tasted fresh and with the dipping sauces was flavorful! Portion sizes were also nice, was able to feed most of our table. This place isn't known for their service though as seen in the other reviews, wait times were a bit long and sometimes the servers' tone may seem a bit indifferent, but overall it's probably a tradeoff for the 24/7 service the place has to provide.
google avatar

Diana D.

Yelp
Food: 2/5 Service: 2/5 Really just a 24/7 late night food place. It's popular for its location but the food was mid. Got a noodle dish that came out looking very disappointing as compared to the image on the menu. It was also not flavorful at all. I ended up adding bibimbap sauce and kimchi juice into the broth to make it at least a bit flavorful. The broth originally just tasted like water with gochugaru. Bulgogi was the only good flavorful dish. Comes on a hot plate stir fried with onions and a bowl of rice. The bibimbap was mainly a veggie rice bowl. Nothing special. Ambiance was pretty loud but I did come on a Saturday night so it's expected for a late night place. Lots of groups and parties of Koreans. As for service I was honestly thrown off with our waitress. An older Korean ahjumma, maybe not much English spoken but lots of attitude. I did not enjoy my ordering process at all because of the lack luster attitude I received when I had questions about some of the foods.
google avatar

Daly D.

Yelp
One of the best Korean Food I have ever had the bulgogi soup is amazing especially during this winter season. The Galbi and bulgogi taste way better than all the other places I been around DMV area. This place definitely knows what seasonings to use. Lots of kimchi so I don't have to ask for extra. The fact that it's a 24 hrs shop is a plus. I like the service they very attentive but knows to leave customers alone when they eat which is great because they let us enjoy the food and the good time.

Yelp
ToSokChon is open 24/7, and they specialize in pork-based stews. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering items such as soondae gook, dduk mandoo guk, hot pots, noodle dishes (such as kalgooskoo), soondooboo, and even meats (such as bulgogi, jaeyook bokeum, etc.). They also have seasonal items, such as bibim and mul nengmyun, offered during the summer. Since most of the restaurants were closed, we decided to give ToSokChon another try and stop by for a late night meal. We ordered: +#3 - Kimchi Jeon - aka, kimchi pancake; this was really good - could have been crispier, but it was filled with well-fermented kimchi, and the yangnyum ganjang to dip it in was a great complement +#20 - Gamja Tang - stew with pork neck bones and potatoes; I took all the pork out; the stew itself is thick and hearty; wished there were more potatoes in this +#27 - Kimchi Chigae - kimchi soup with steamed pork rib; the kimchi soup was okay, but the pork rib had an off-putting/pork odor to it that it had to be removed The banchan was fine, but limited; nothing worth noting. They serve hot barley tea, but you can request regular iced tap water, too. The service was friendly, but not attentive - we had to wave our server down to get containers and the check. They added a small refrigerator that held warm canned coffee. Ample parking in the shared plaza lot, but can be tight. +Kimchi Jeon +inattentive staff +plenty of parking in shared plaza lot
google avatar

Michelle E.

Yelp
The food is fine but as a international student who wants to eat asian food they told me that i must tip them 20% or over. I didn't liked it because service was mid and they want 20% tip.
google avatar

Josh F.

Yelp
My friends are Korean, and they were craving comfort food. They took our group here, and I am obsessed lowkey. Everything we ordered was tasty. The portions are generous. The service is attentive and friendly. This was some of the best Korean food I've ever had. We wanted soup and stews and comfort food, and that's exactly what we got. Living in DC, sometimes I miss having a car and living away from the city and going to strip malls and little plazas. And it's restaurants like this that make me miss that lifestyle. I wish I could more easily take out of towners here whenever they visit. It was that good!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Pretty solid still! The prices however are outrageous. I gotta give it to them though as they are the only 24/7 restaurant in Annandale. Not sure how many late nights I have in me but it's always nice knowing I have somewhere to go to sober up with a nice hot broth of some sort.

Yelp
Great place to eat Korean food! Best place for midnight munchies or late night meals. Opened 24/7!! Isn't that crazy?? I don't know any good hearty places that are opened every hour of the day and week. Such good comfort warm Korean food here that makes me happy. I've come here on multiple occasions at like 2-4 am and i've never been disappointed. Recommendations: * seafood or kimchi pancake- good savory appetizer that's super crispy and yummy. usually four large slices per pancake/size. * galbitang- nice savory beef broth that really tastes like home. comes salted and seasoned well and has glass noodles inside. * kimchi stew- nice serving with about three pork ribs and healthy heap of stewed kimchi. very comforting and yummy. * soondae bokkeum or spicy pork feet- these large shareable dishes are so yummy. saucy, spicy, somewhat sweet. just so delicious... * honorable mentions: soondaeguk/gukbab- my parents used to drive 40 minutes always to this place for this soup. highly rec! water is self serve, food comes out relatively quick. service is good and fast. never had a bad experience. lots of tables inside to accommodate. very happy and never leave sad. I wouldn't recommend the soondubu just because all the other dishes are so good. I've also never went wrong with any of the following: kalguksus, kimchi jigae, chicken stew, and mandoo guk.

Yelp
A 24/7 Restaurant is a gem of itself but does it make the experience any better? I went with my group of friends as it was nearing close to midnight. We looked up places to go to that were open that wasn't iHop and this place showed up in our search. Luckily it was just right across the street from where we were so we were eager to try this place out. When we walked in, it was pretty quiet but there were a few patrons there. We were seated immediately along with these giant laminated menus on the table. I forgot to take a picture of the menu but they have various options; most of them consisting of soups. I ended up getting Myeongdong Kalguksu, as it was my first time trying it out. Myeongdong Kalguksu is a soup where the noodles are knife-cut along with dumplings that come along with the dish. Personally I really like this dish. You get a lot of noodles and I think these noodles soak in the flavor of the soup really well. It was a tad salty that might be something on me. My main issue here was the service; I guess the staff just seem really dismissive after they took our orders and went up to the counter to hang out. We had to get up and get our waters and napkins. When we went to check out, we were asked to tip. Now I get that people need to make a living wage and that's fine and all but we were left unattended. I don't want to compare this to restaurants where service is a part of the experience but I just want to note if you go here, do not expect them to constantly come back and forth if you need something. You do have to flag them down which is easier in my opinion. Come here for sure if you want late night food where you don't have to worry about the place closing. I want to try more of this place for sure; maybe my next experience will be better in the future.

Yelp
Perfect place to go to when you are craving Korean food late at night! I love that it is open 24 hr, and the they offer a good selection of food with reasonable price. The service was fast and there was a good amount of people at 11pm. The soondubu was solid! I would go again if I am in the area.
google avatar

Jerry Y.

Yelp
This post isn't about my meal. It was good. It's about these people who ordered food and as it is being delivered, they say they don't want it bc it has pork. They have diet needs, you should ask when ordering..not change it as it is being delivered. The girl had the nerve to say "these people need to learn customer service".. FU bitch!
google avatar

Caroline J.

Yelp
Yum! Dined here with a party of 7 including a 1 year old and 3.5 year old and we all had a great dinner! The servers were friendly and on top if brining out the food as it was hot and ready. So food arrived mostly at the same time but some in the group had to wait a little longer than others for their food. Some stand-outs for food: Japchae Mandu Spicy pork bulgogi Beef bulgogi The place is clean inside with a buzzer to call the server over when you need her. The place has a beautiful mural on one wall in the back which is fun to look at. Will be back for some of the wonderful Korean food!

Maria K.

Yelp
Amazing! Very authentic Korean food with speedy service Love their side dishes and all their entrees are very comforting and perfect for your next Korean craving

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Service: 1/5 Location 4/5 Came for a late dinner on a weekday with a friend. Food was ok but my gosh was the service terrible.. But let's talk about the good first. We ordered the seafood pancake, dolsot bibimbop, and yookgaejang. Seafood pancake is very big for the size and came nice and hot. The other two entrees followed quickly. Bibimbop came sizzling on hot iron. Yookgaejang also came hot in a cast iron pot. I thought the beef in the Yookgaejang was a little dry and overall not as spicy and I thought it would be. But the portion size is large of the price. These dishes are good for family style. But boy oh boy, the service was laughable to say the least. When we asked for clarification on two similar menu items, the waitress literally walked away. Then when we asked for additional plates for the different dishes, she pointed to our existing used plates and refused to give us new plates. Later she was MIA despite there only one other table besides us. When we flagged her down to get a glass of cold water she again walked away without a word and returned with only one glass of water and absently flopped it down in the middle of the table not near anyone. We had to again flag her down to get our cups refilled. Except since I never got a water cup, she poured water into my half drunken cup of tea...At this point we gave up on trying to ask her for anything else and just asked for takeaway boxes and the check. But get this, when I asked for takeout boxes, she just pointed to a table with them that was a foot away from her. Basically she refused to walk a few feet to get us containers and we had to get it ourselves. Why bother having a server if they aren't going to serve you? This restaurant would run better just have a self service kiosk. Finally she was hovering like a hawk after handing us the check. After taking returning with our cards, again MIA. Well two can play at that game... With so many other Korean restaurants in the area like Yechon, you are better off bringing your business elsewhere. If they can improve their customer service then I would happily reconsider this review.

Yelp
Still open as of July 2023. Continues to accept cash and credit card. Tons of free parking. We came here with one weekend to revisit this restaurant. Reminder that this place opens 24hrs a day. We ordered their seafood noodle soup, Jokbal (small size) and kimchi jigae. The seafood noodle soup came out in a large bowl. The bowl can feed 2-4 people. It's really big. It was not too spicy and didn't have much seafood. The noodles had a decent chew to it. The Jokbal (small) appetizer was really good. It comes with bean paste and garlic. However, I think it was missing lettuce wraps. Typically, you would get some type of greens with it. Otherwise, the pork was pretty good. Tons of meat and can be shared with others. The kimchi chigae was much smaller than the seafood noodle soup. Was decently spiced and you can taste the sourness of the kimchi. Not bad. There was some pork chunks in the soup with a few pieces of rice cake. Overall, place is decent for some food. Worth checking out if you are in the area. Opens 24hrs so you can come anytime.

Yelp
Although it was a busy Friday night, the service was excellent. You had to press the button to call the server. She came immediately and brought everything I requested. My husband and one of our daughters shared Bossam. They said it was really delicious. I ordered Myungdong Kalguksu because I was curious about its name. It's plain Kalguksu with 2 mandu. Despite being very plain, no squash slices, the broth was full of flavor. You don't get a lot of side dishes, their excellent kimchi makes up for it. A few special notes are as follows: This restaurant had the most delicious kimchi I've ever tasted. We asked for refill on the both napa kimchi and radish kimchi. The server pointed out that we could buy kimchi from them. Strangely though, the shredded radish kimchi that came with Bossam wasn't delicious. It's puzzling because their other two kimchi were excellent. Each table has 3 containers of hot sauce, chopped peppers, and salted shrimps. There was also a container of utensils for people to reach in to serve themselves. I don't know about this~ Considering how often I see people not washing their hands, I don't feel comfortable about strangers reaching in to get their utensils. Besides my personal hangups, this restaurant has really yummy food. We're definitely returning. I highly recommend it.

Yulee K.

Yelp
The food is good for a 24/7 restaurant. Great as a hangover cure after a night out. I also love how it's open all the time so if you are hungry late at night, this is the place to go!

Mi T.

Yelp
Food: 4/5 Service: 0/5 Rudeness: 5/5 Food was great but the service was horrible. Forgot to make our order and we had to chase the server down for kimchi. The Korean lady that took our order was so rude and didn't even let us finish our sentence and act like it was a burden for us to be there. We left cash but they thought we didn't, so the Korean guy chase us down outside the restaurant asking to "TIP Please!" The good food did not make up for the bad experience. What a vibe killer :(
google avatar

Yelp
I remember the food being better than it was, but maybe I was too focused on the people I went with. This was the second time we went, and it was around 2am. The food did not hit as expected. We got the pancakes, dumplings, bulgogi, and stir-fried pork. I liked the bulgogi but not as much the pancakes and dumplings. The pancakes didn't seem as thick and crunchy, and then the dumplings just didn't taste like much. The service was nice, and I love the environment. It's so nice that there's even a place that's open 24/7. I really enjoy the casual vibes of this restaurant.

Alex E.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots ever for some good Korean food. I've tried so many dishes from here and they're all super yummy, plus the portions are huge. I usually have some to take home after I always always get the mandu for sure. I like them pan fried but they also offer them steamed. My personal favorite dish is the galbi tang. It's a beef broth soup with some radish and beef short rib. The broth is so comforting, but also light. It comes with rice usually and kimchi on the side. Other stand outs are the L.A. galbi. Seasoned so well and the meat is always tender. Also really like the Yookjaejang Kalguksu which is a noodle soup with beef and veggies. The noodles are handmade and have the perfect bouncy texture and the broth is super yummy. Over time I've also tried their soondubu jiggae, dolpan bibimbap, naengmyun. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything here. Also, they're open 24 hours so they're perfect for late night bites, but chill late night bites.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
The service was great, nothing else more to say about it. If the place is too busy, just press the bell! The haemul pajeon is a must try, other places cheap out by just adding barely any seafood bits or green onions. Toksokchon on the other hand, you'll have a bite of squid, shrimp, mussels, in every bite! Was crispy and not soggy, but not fried like crazy. The bulgogi dish was so homey, not salty, not too sweet, just perfect. Get a bowl of white rice with some kimchi & viola~ I would say the kalkuksu was also delicious but it tasted similar to the mandu ddukguk, but both were delicious

Yelp
Walked in and got seated. Only 2 other customers present (at a single table). The host brought us waters and then no one checked on us or even look in our direction for 15 minutes. My mom tried to flag down the server for the other table and she said someone would be coming. Nothing for another 5 minutes. When we brought this up to the person at host station, he just said "ok". What a waste of time.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of my FAVORITE places to go eat whenever I visit the DC/DMV area!!! Recommended by one of my friends from the area, I now always tell my friends to come here whenever they happen to be here too. Tosokchon truly is 24/7, something I also found hard to believe! When you're craving a hearty Korean soup (or meal in general), this truly is the place to go. Service can be a little slow, so do be prepared to wait around if you decide to eat in store. The food comes out fairly quickly, but closing out the tab can take a while. Not sure if it is because I've come in big groups, but do prepare to take your time while you eat here! Truly a favorite of mine, and I got some of my local friends hooked on it as well!

Yelp
We came here on a Friday night and it was pretty packed. Service was fine, but I'm giving this place a low rating solely based on the food. My boyfriend ordered #23 which was the galbi soup. It was very salty and little noodles. It tasted like salt and vegetables. I ordered the Jokbal and it had a weird aftertaste, like it was left out for days. It's a good place for late night food, but don't expect top tier Korean cuisine.
google avatar

Kat L.

Yelp
We loved all the dishes here but especially how they prepared the pork dishes. It's difficult to find specialty dishes elsewhere like the soup with pork intestines (haenae tang), spicy pork feet (bul jokbal), and many more. The pork innards were cleaned thoroughly. Then kalguksu noodles were also great in texture, flavor, and portion. The best part is this place is 24/7 and bustling with patrons. I wish there were more restaurants like this in Virginia.
google avatar

Susan W.

Yelp
Food was delicious with authentic specialties that are had to find elsewhere. Service was ok, not fantastic as this place is a 24/7 joint- no frills place. Ambiance- very casual , hole in the wall.

Yelp
A solid 3.5 for Korean food in the Annandale area. This place is pretty spacious inside and we had no problem seating 7 people without having any reservation which was really convenient! A couple of us arrived before the rest of our party so we ordered some appetizers to start which were the mandu and seafood paejon. These were both decent and was big enough for 4 people. For our meals we ordered the beef soondubu, spicy chicken, bulgogi, galbi, and bibimbab. The beef soondubu was pretty disappointing, it wasn't super flavorful or even hot (both temperature and spice wise). If you're coming to this location to only order the soondubu I would definitely recommend going to Lighthouse instead. In addition, I also found the kimchi to be on the blander side too. The galbi was good and had a good marinade as well as portion size. The spicy chicken was also super tasty as well! You pay by going to the register at the back of the restaurant and we were not able to split our check (which is totally understandable). All in all, I appreciate the wide variety of items that you can order as well as how late they are open too. They have some good dishes here but also some misses.

Yelp
One of the best Korean restaurants in Annandale. Authentic and reasonably priced. It's not trendy or anything but food are super delicious. This is the first time ever I tried Korean style pork trotter and omg I can't to eat it again already! We also loved the seafood pancake and bulgogi, but tofu soup was a little bland. Definitely will be back and try more items!

Yelp
I arrived in Fairfax around 10pm and my friends took me here because it's one of the only restaurants that's open that late. It was also one of their favorite restaurants, and I was very excited. + Jaeyuk Bokkeum ($23) - 9/10 - This says spicy marinated pork loin with vegetables, but there aren't really any vegetables besides scallions. That said, this was delicious - the pork was flavorful and tender, and the sauce was mildly spicy and sweet. One of my friends said he always gets this, but opted to try the chicken dish instead since I got this. It comes with a bowl of rice, and I think this is enough food for two people but my friend (who works out a lot) is able to eat this on his own. + Spicy chicken ($22) - 8/10 - Upon eating this, my friend immediately said the pork was way better. I think this is a very good chicken version of the pork dish and the sauces look different but taste pretty similar to me. If you're avoiding red meat, this is a solid option. I thought the chicken was pretty tasty. + Dweji galbijjim ($16) - 9/10 - I'm amazed by how big the portions are; this is getting an extra point for that. This would've been enough for two meals for me. The soup was very flavorful and spicy - definitely a lot spicier than the other dishes. I would've had to drink a lot of water to be able to eat this, but I enjoyed it a lot. The pork is not as tender as I would've liked but there was more meat than I expected. Overall, a very good value and tasty Korean restaurant - I wish we had one of these in NYC. I don't mind if the service is meh across the board but it was a little disconcerting that everyone else got served large glasses of water but we had to go get water ourselves repeatedly from the water dispenser with the small styrofoam cups.

Yelp
Seeking out a late night dinner a friend and I landed on Tosokchon. I wasn't all that impressed by the last meal I'd had so I opted for the Beef Soondubu Jjigae with noodles this time. The difference in the amount of food you get is kind of staggering. If I was coming in this hungry every time I think I'd get noodles every time too, it's almost too good of a deal to pass up if you've got the stomach for it. I would be hard-pressed to believe anyone would willingly choose this tofu soup over Lighthouse's right down the road, but in a pinch Tosokchon pulled through.

Yelp
Have been here a handful of times and have tried various different stews on the menu. I have really enjoyed the gamjatang, the darktoritang, and yookgaejang, but the spicy galbitang I do recall was not great flavorless but spicy? Not even salt could help. Not bland, just no depth. It was like they had water and added spice to it. Kimchi is just ok to me. Service is usually pretty quick. Tried the soondae and it wasn't bad but nothing notable. Hit the spot. Overall, solid place for 24/7 hours open.

Yelp
Went in here on a whim after seeing their menu outside, and I'm so glad we did! Husband and I both ordered bibimbop and shared a kimchi pancake. The kimchi and picked sides were fantastic, and the rest of the food as well! We couldn't finish the kimchi pancake, so we took it home and it reheated like a champ in a frying pan! Best leftovers I've had in some time. :) English is not the first language for most of the staff, so people with pressing issues will need to be patient and understanding, or have a Korean friend on hand. A place definitely worth the drive!

Yelp
The food was delicious. I was pleased with everything I ate. The service was nice since they were polite and understood what we wanted. They served us this complimentary tea that looks a little off but it actually tastes really good. The scenery isn't as fancy but it's simple for easy dining.

Yelp
Tosokchon is good to hit up for late night munchies, but for a regular meal there are better spots to hit up for Korean comfort food. I'm not a big fan of their kimchi and wish they had more banchan, and the rest of their food leaves something to be desired. - Japchae: this is definitely my favorite dish from here but I wish the portion was bigger for the price. - Yukgaejang kalguksu: the broth was flavorful and the meat was super tender, but the noodles were slightly over cooked. The portion is huge though - I took the leftover broth home and cooked rice to go with it. - Jaeyuk bokkeum: this was decent but nothing special. If your stomach is sensitive to oily food, you may want to skip this. - Galbitang: the broth was good but a little saltier than what I like. The beef was not tender though :( some pieces of radish also soaked up way more salt than other pieces. - Haemul pajeon: the scallion chunks were sooo big here, probably to hide the fact that there was barely any seafood. - Soondubu: don't bother. When they brought it out, it wasn't even boiling like it should be, and they didn't give us an egg either. You can buy instant BCD tofu soup at hmart that tastes better than this. Service is also not the best - I'm not usually one to complain as long as the food is good, but they're just downright rude here sometimes, and the food isn't enough to make up for it. If I were craving Korean food at 1am, this would hit the spot, but otherwise I'll stick to other restaurants.

Yelp
This place was literally a life saver after a night of karaoke and a few drinks. The service was impressive, fast and good food.

Yelp
We intended to go to the other restaurant w a similar name but I wrote the name wrong in our gps. We were still pleasantly surprised with the dishes we received. Both the Spicy chicken (which on Asian spice scale wasn't really so, but nice and tender) and the Samgye Tang were good for a light faire. We liked that the menu was categorized easy enough for us to find what we were seeking. Parking can be a little hard especially on the weekends due to the bbq spot nearby and many other shops in the area.

Yelp
Love this place for authentic Korean food. They're open 24/7 and the food is very comforting. Some great options include the Mandu, Soondae, tofu stews, and Galbi tang. Their other broths are also all really good. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good spot for Korean food

Yelp
My family and I usually go there when we are craving Korean soups, which have often been somewhat acceptable for a restaurant that stays open late. However, my recent experience, when I took my family friends there for their first Korean food experience, was absolutely horrible. Firstly, after we were seated, the waitress never came or bothered to pay attention for a while. We had to actively try to get their attention just to place an order. Not to mention, they never brought napkins for us to use, nor did they bring water for some of our table members for a good 30 minutes. Even after the food came out, they didn't bother to check on us or refill our water. Later, when we managed to get hold of one of the workers to ask for a refill, he then said it's self-service. Why not mention that in the first place before bringing out the water? It's frustrating that there is no proper service at this restaurant because you just can't get hold of the servers. As for the food, it is okay at a bare minimum. It's almost like food court quality but double the price. I will be giving it just 2 stars because they at least brought out the food quickly enough.

Yelp
You cant go wrong with 24/7 korean food. Their banchan was solid, food came out timely and theirs an ample amount of seating. They don't charge you extra for an egg in their soondubu :)... Good stuff
