Customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced ordered 2 drinks he said 3-5 minutes 27 minutes later he took 6 customer who came in after me and didn’t make my drinks everything is also very over priced and not worth the large amounts of money

Holy Mackerel! This is about 5 lbs of sweet and savory carbaliciousness! Sweet plantains, roasted pork, cheese, potatoes, seasonings... It's called "Yaroa", se llama "Yaroa" pídaselo y ponte a gozar

This place has amazing sandwiches , it nevers disappoints ordering from here. The staff is nice. I ordered a Real Dominican sandwich and the Tostato club, which comes with fries. This is not my first time but will not be my last. 🙂

Staff at Tostado is very kind and always smiling which puts you in a better mood. They have excellent, fresh foods and Ive never had an issue within the several dozen times ive had food from this sandwich shop. I highly recommend trying something from this place at least once. Again I want to emphasize how awesome the food is.

I went to this spot looking for flan, and when flan wasn't available I got the tres leches. Let me tell you, I have not had a better tres leches in my entire life. I wish these guys did doordash. If you guys are seeing this, pleaaaaaase consider doing doordash 🙏🏻

Only ate here once for lunch, and I got the Cubano sandwich. It was delicious. Also had the smoothie. It was good. Not worth $7 for the smoothie but sandwich was on point. Check it out if you’re in the area. Also, prices are reasonable for the food.

Trying this restaurant for the first time and the cashier didn’t speak good English, after typing in the wrong order we were greeted by someone who appeared to be the owner or manager he handled everything with grace and corrected the order, he apologized and even gave us a free tres leche cake on the house for the confusion. We are very happy and thankful and the food was delicious 😋

Favorite sandwich and smoothie spot. Healthy options, whether breakfast or lunch/brunch. All ingredients are FRESH! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You can call ahead or order in-person. Either way, your wait is very short, and very worth it!

" Fresh & Tasty " I come here for the fresh squeezed Orange Juice . Or fresh smoothies I tried them all ; lol ; delicious. The food is good too . Everything tastes fresh & that's their trademark. The service is always helpful , attentive and friendly. The vibe so welcoming and warm . Parking so limited but manageable. Just always read the signs before parking .

As someone who gets a piña colada smoothie ANYTIME there's one on a menu, I'm going to be honest and say this was one of the best smoothies I've ever had. I had no expectation of anything crazy good upon walking in, looked like a normal sandwich and smoothie place, but omg. I might even compare all piña colada smoothies to this one after trying it. I also got the Tostado Club, which was delicious and drenched in sauce. Fries were the only thing that could use some improvement, maybe slightly crunchier or with some seasoning, but everything else was perfect. Will definitely return next time i'm in JP or near the Arboretum. So so good and cheap! (forgot to take a pic of the smoothie was too busy losing myself in it) Service was friendly and efficient, small shop but welcoming environment. Support small sandwich shops!

I've been a couple times now. I really like this place. The feel, the food, service have been great. Hell, even just chatting with a fellow customer every now and then is cool. I'm particularly fond of the Tostado Club and the Havana Cubano. Nice balance and filling. I wish they had space to sit, but I'm happy to walk and eat when it's this. Pretty sure, after a sandwich and drink and tip, I'm usually around $20.

The food is incredible, especially for the price. I always leave full! The cuban sandwich is heavy and cheesy!

Came in to try a smoothie on a Saturday afternoon. Got sucked in to try a yummy looking sandwich as well. The order took around 15 minutes to make. There are about 6 chairs around a bar to eat at, so this is not a good place for groups. There is good Latin music playing to enjoy while you wait. When the food came out, the presentation was not looking good. I got a cheese melt and a mango smoothie. In my opinion, the cheese was not appetizing at all. On top of that, it wasn't fully melted. It was also covered in ketchup and mayo (which is on all of the sandwhiches, but it was just too much for me). I'm not that picky, but I really couldn't finish it. The smoothie was fine, very milky if that's you type of thing. Honestly would not come back.

this has been my go to spot since i was a kid. the food is amazing yet the service has gotten worse every time i go back. i ordered online and was told it would be 20 mins and when i went back, they said another 5 mins which turned to an hour. there was no other orders nor were they busy. i want to continue supporting a local business that i grew up eating but the wait time being an hour plus every time i go is actually ridiculous.

Amazing hot and toasted sandwiches loaded with meat and cheese! Affordable as well! If you are real hungry wash it down with a smoothie!

Delicious! Will be back ASAP. I grabbed a cheese melt with ham and a mango smoothie, so good.

Sandwiches are ok when they get your order correct, and when they say 15min add 10min to that ETA. Just make sure to check your order before yiu leave the store. Once ok honest mistake maybe even the second but three time in a month. C'mon now. Just get frustrating.

food took sooo long to prepare and the staff was focused on conversing vs preparing the meals people ordered . lots of talking would never eat from there again or suggest anyone else does ESPECIALLY on lunch break

Good sandwiches and fresh juice, you can't go wrong here sandwiches are full of flavor and savory meats and the juices are fresh and healthy give them a try, good prices as well.

Went to this place after a long day at the Arnold Arboretum, and it was simply amazing. I got the Real Dominican sandwich and the Special sandwich and was not let down. The combination of elements in each sandwich put together with amazing toasted bread was heaven in my mouth. The smoothies were also very fresh and very desirable. Amazing establishment!!

Fantastic local sandwich shop in Jamaica Plain. Its hard to find a Dominican sandwich place in general here, and am lucky to be close to this one. Its a small little place, and they have a wide selection of sandwiches, smoothies, and juices. On top of it all, the prices are so cheap! I highly recommend this place for grabbing a quick bite to eat-- its a great lunch spot. Try the 'El Dominicano'!

First off, VERY SLOW. Called about 20 minutes ahead for pick up. I walked in and had to wait about 30 more minutes for my food, which I didn't understand since, again, it was VERY slow. I ordered the yaroa plate. Now, as a Dominican, that has eaten yaroas IN THE Dominican, I know what a yaroa of poor quality looks and tastes like. These people barely put any meat or effort in making them! I literally paid almost $30 for two shakes and two yaroas that were literally a plate full of fries with melted cheese on top and barely any meat! Such a disappointment, especially for the price! I could've gone to Stop and Shop across the street, bought the same ingredients and could've made the same exact plate, with more meat, cheese and flavor for less than $10! There's nothing that pisses me off more than a restaurant that gyps it's customers! NEVER AGAIN!!

Not exactly "welcoming." Generally rude staff, don't ever say much. VERY *very* slow business. I ordered one sandwich over the phone and was told 20 minutes - no problem. Showed up 20 minutes later, waited another 20 minutes. There were two other people in the shop. Food was okay, definitely overly greasy.

Tostado is a small tropical theme inspired restaurant which serves a variety of sandwiches and smoothies choosing your own fresh fruit or a recipe of their own. The pretty young lady was very pleasant greeting me at the desk. Not too many places to sit but if you do get a seat enjoy your window seat to the outside and 50 in flatscreen TV. Great place, small but great

This is probably one of the BEST sandwich spots I know in JP. It's filling but not greasy. The combo of spices and flavors compliment each other perfectly.

Now this what I call real sandwich shop. This is their specialty and they take pride in it. You can also get a variety of freshly squeezed juices here. Try the Completo (Complete) Sandwich is a traditional Dominican sandwich that is delicious. I usually call my order in for pick up because I don't want to eat in and leave smelling like food. Thats the only thing I don't like but hey its a sandwich shop not a restaurant.

Staff friendly as hell. Good value for a nice hot meal. Plenty of choices. Haven't had a bad sandwich there yet.

My husband and I love this place and wish we discovered it sooner! They have an insane selection of juices and smoothies, many with fruits I'd never tried, or that are impossible to find in other smoothie places or in supermarkets. I recommend guanabana, zapote, or for breakfast avena con naranja. The sandwiches are awesome too- similar to the traditional Cuban sandwich, but often the meat is shredded and mixed with mayo. I've tried the Tradicional and two other sandwiches- one chicken and one pork, and loved them all. Recently I chatted at length with a Dominican co-worker about this place and he had various recommendations on things to try and stories about his favorite things they eat in the D.R. I think that in typical Jamaica Plain "Latin Quarter" fashion, Tostado must be great for Latinos craving delights from back home, and this is also a place where non-Latinos can go to discover some amazing treats they possibly never knew existed!

best dominican sandwich place in boston! definitely better than alex chimi's sandwiches. everything here tastes great + fresh.

I've had a soft spot for Tostado since they opened a few years back but today I was really impressed. I live a block away from the Jamaica Plain location and called in an order for pickup (one sandwich, three smoothies). Thing is, I made the mistake of calling the Roslindale location. I went to pick up my food and that's when we realized I goofed. The owner, Tony, happened to be in the store and offered to drive to Roslindale and pick up my food and then deliver it to my apartment. When he got here he was apologized and said he is going to talk to the staff and make sure they are stating which location they are in. I mean, it was my fault, but he didn't see it that way.. I was floored. This is how you run a successful business.

Sandwiches so good, I can't bring myself to visit Subway ever again. The four stars is for the fact that it truly takes forever and a day in order to get your food. The guy in the back takes his sweet time, I swear. But, it's worth it in the end, I promise! I've had their 3 Cheese (Dominican cheese, Swiss, and Cheddar) and their Dominicano so far and have yet to be disappointed. As for the smoothies, you can get them as actual smoothies or just the juice. FYI: The cashier is unable to speak English but she does understand a bit of it. Feel free to try out your horrible Spanish on her. She's a very sweet girl, so do not get snippy with her because honestly that would be rude. Even if you don't speak a word of Spanish (like me), she's very patient and your order will be perfect. Finally, this place does not take CCs! Make sure to bring cash when you go.

The girl in the front always messes up my order and service has become increasingly rude and slow. SO SLOW. So disappointed in the local Dominican businesses around here, since I LOVE Dominican food! Well, except for Gondres Bakery, they're awesome.

Great sandwiches. I love the Dominicano. The Pierna Danes is also good. But the service is so slow. It keeps me from visiting more often.

Terrible service, rude workers. No air conditioner during the summer. Cash only and not willing to point out to the nearest ATM (because of course there is not one inside). Small sandwich for the price. Definitely no need to come back.

The service offered at this Tostado location is beyond expectations. Their sandwiches are always well made and delicious!!!! Their natural juices are the best! & I love the fact that they are always improving their menu and looks. Thank you!

I come here often, most of the reviews are old they have obviously improved service, wait time depends on what you order remember they make your sandwich from scratch and they do take credit cards now I love their Club Sandwich is what I always order no more than a 10 min wait I always call ahead.

Delicious sandwiches yes, but beware of the overpriced cheap breakfast sandwiches if you like bread only perfect place for you. Also they have coffee and serve it to you inside of juice/shake cups with plastic straw insert lids -such an inconvenience had my coffee 25 minutes after it cooled down.

This is my first yelp review! I absolutely love this place. I went for the second time today and got the pavo ahumado and the jugo de tres golpes (carrots, beets & orange juice). I loved it all!

The food is tastey but it takes longer than it realistically should to reach you. I like their Cubano but somebody else in the area does it better.

WOW. I have absolutely no idea how this place isn't out of business. Awful food and slowest service possible. Took over 20 mins to get two breakfast sandwiches when there was nobody else in the store. This place deserves negative stars. Complete shithole - avoid at all costs.
