"The buzzy vibe of the Châtelain district sets the scene in this modern take on a traditional brasserie, embellished with a design twist. The locals flock here for its friendly, casual atmosphere and its wholesome no-nonsense nosh. Flawlessly fresh oysters, platters of seafood, melt-in-the-mouth steak, terrine or andouillette: the focus is on top-quality traditional fare served generously." - Michelin Inspector

Had a great evening with waiting staff that was making jokes and entertaining the evening a bit, but overpriced and a bit snobbish in my opinion. The cocktails were good, would highly recommend the Negroni which they serve in high glasses. Good wine options available but overpriced €45-180 per bottle. I had the tuna tataki (8/10), expected for the price a bigger portion but good quality. As main dish, I ordered the duck (8/10), which was good and tasteful. They unfortunately ran out of Solettes (already during the first shift) which we were looking forward to. Further, we had the Dame Blanche (7.5/10) and crème brule (7.5/10) as a dessert. We had a fun evening, but would probably not god back due to skewed price/quality/ experience balance.

A bit disappointed by this restaurant. For entry we shared a terrine, which was quite good. Then the duck was too salty and the skin was not properly cleaned. The fish was nothing special, dare to say a bit tasteless.

Lovely Sunday evening at Toucan - very convivial atmosphere. Felt like being at a family gathering. Well prepared, delicious dishes (I had the duck with lentils which was perfect). Service was efficient and/or charming.

Excellent place with nice ambiance and classic dishes as a typical brasserie. However the grilled fish served raw and needed a second hitting to make it eatable... The jamboneau was not an option at 14.30 with the excuse that needs 20 minutes and the kitchen closes at 15.00... not professional behaviour for a high priced and prestigious restaurant. Wines etc very well chosen and proposed

Very nice chic and classical brasserie. We decided to order the classics of French brasserie food: all meat based the raw American prepared, the entrecôte and a burger… delicious and quality meat. Tasted home made mayonnaise and béarnaise ! Very good desserts . It is pricey comparing to a normal brasserie as it’s customers are more from the upper side of the city. Excellent service of course. It is very good but missing something for the 5 star.

Yelp
Great local Brasserie that prepares one of the best steak tartare I have ever had. Reconnect with my friend Alain and shared Le Verre de L'amitie. The service was amazingly pleasant and professional. Une ambiance relax and sophisticated with a French Parisian touch.

Yelp
Ate here a couple of weeks ago, and it was an overall good experience. The food was phenomenal, I ate a "filet américain" that was very good, and a pie (don't remember what flavor) for dessert that I thoroughly enjoyed! My only complaint would he the waitresses that were working that night. As me and my father entered the restaurant, they seemed to have immediately decided that they did not like us. One of them actually threw the napkin and fork on the table; i don't know if it was on purpose or not but they did not seem to be in a joyful mood.. But, the food was great!

Yelp
Phenomenal. Stumbling across this restaurant on a cold and dreary Belgian evening, my party of four were warmed both in body and spirit upon entering this delightful brasserie - the cozy single room was abuzz with young couples and families alike. We shared oysters to start, and about half the menu was dedicated to various seafood combinatorial platters to share. Nevertheless, I ordered the beef tartare and the linguine with seasonal mushrooms and parmesan. The former was succulent, with great sharp tang thanks to the Dijon mustard, and plenty of textural contrast (not just an amorphous mass of raw meat). The latter was hearty and delicious. Yum. My buddy ordered the Andouillette sausage. Upon inquiry the staff cautioned that this wasn't your typical sausage, but something "else". They were right. I was glad to try some of it, but don't think I'd be able to finish the whole thing as my main. Fun fact, the AAAAA label on the menu stands for the Association Amicale des Amateurs d'Andouillette Authentique. Apparently people take their Andouillette seriously. Booze was reasonable, and service was prompt, attentive and kind. We had a great dinner here. 17/30

Yelp
We had dinner with some friends over here since we were looking for nice food in a restaurant with a terrace. I have to say that the terrace is not really nice since arranged in the walking area just few steps from the road. We had starter and main course: the croquette with shrimps are really tasteful and I can totally recommend them. The sea brass was as well tasteful and light while the rib eye steak of my wife was well done even if we asked for medium. We wanted to order a dessert but we were told that the desired dessert was not anymore available since it was sunday at they do not have anymore these ingredients. It was a nice evening but I would suggest to improve the following aspects: - when we ordered the aperitif one of our friend ordered a glass of white wine but the waiter did not ask which kind of it - as we finish the first bottle of wine, the waiter brought us a second bottle of wine withot we even ordered it (I mean we drank it but I am expecting somebody asks me before bringing a new bottle) - one starter was missing and I had to stand up to claim it Anyway the service was friendly and they invited us (due to the lack of the dessert desired) to 5 shots of limoncello.

Yelp
I have been going to Toucan for 9 years and it just isn't what it used to be in terms of a top dining experience. The gorgeous interior --which is what draws me back every time-- is for the most part unchanged but what were they thinking with the addition of a flat screen TV above the door to the kitchen? The cuisine seems less refined than before and is standard fare rather than something exceptional. The prices however are exceptionally high and the few times I've been there recently I've regretted the evening because of the price.
