Before I get into the food, I'll go into the restaurant itself.
It's very warm, and welcoming, and also has a true Italian restaurant ambiance to it. Apparently, the Rehoboth restaurant is much larger than the one in Lewes.
I'm going to give my review across a few areas:
- Service
- Quality/Taste of Food
- Portion Size
- and Options
Service was a 7/10 - When the waitress came, she was nice and helpful, but it was a packed house when we had dinner there and there were times when we didn't see her for over 12-15 minutes.
Quality/Taste of Food: 8/10 -
Appetizer: Caesar Salad and Calamari: Both were very good, the calamari were much tinier that what I've seen before, but you get a good amount to share between 2-3 people.
For dinner, I got the gnocchi and I added two meatballs. Those were very good, but the biggest issue (some might seem like I'm nit-picking here) is the table-side bread they provide you.
If you're at an Italian restaurant you're anticipating some quality Italian bread. Our loaf was tiny and felt stale. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not, but it almost felt like it was left out overnight.
For dessert, I got a nice variety of their cookies, cannoli and ecliar. All were very good, soft and fresh. The cannoli was my favorite and then second would be the ricotta cookie. All of them were delicious, but those two were my favorite.
Portion Size: 7/10 - I wish I got just another half cup of gnocchi on top of what I was served.
Options: 9/10 - This place has pasta, calzones, lasagna, pizza and even a salmon dish. My only heartbreak was no tiramisu, but the waitress said it should be back on the menu in a few weeks. They do have some freshly made pastries (cream puffs, eclairs, lemon cookies, ricotta cookies, cannolis) that you can order up at the front.
