"Tougo Coffee, which operates its flagship cafe in the Central District, recently added a First Hill location. The shop features beans from multiple roasters — including Kuma, Heart, and Velton’s — and celebrates ethical coffee farming practices and sustainability. Tougo uses a variety of brewing methods, from French press to Aeropress to Chemex. Status: Certified open." - Megan Hill

This is a nice cafe. We tried the holy basil detox tea, which was very refreshing and good. They had quite a good selection in the tea. I came in late so most baked items were sold out but they had a scone left which was pretty good as well. We also took the vegan taco which was pretty good. The store in general was nicely decorated with a great outdoor seating and the host was very friendly and warm.

This is a Super Cool neighborhood coffee shop, that is worth visiting from anywhere! Great indoor and outdoor seating. Amazing views, and great service. I will be back here many more times. My tea was hand brewed by the co-owner Berhanu . So Awesome and delicious

Good coffee. Went on weekend so they didn’t have much food and drip coffee options. they made me Americano coffee which was really great. It’s really relax and laid-back place. They also sell wine and coffee beans.if you want to work they also have Wi-Fi option and there are some bakery items too. The guy at the counter was really helpful and welcoming. Parking can be a little bit tricky but it’s all street parking, it’s relatively huge place and can be a good spot for working overall it’s really good I wish I could had chance to eat some breakfast sandwich.

Beautiful environment. Like no other coffee shop, it blows all others out of the water! As a former barista Tougo has wonderful coffee quality as well. Best of all it is black owned! Calling all Seattlites to support black owned businesses!

Excellent latte, excellent service, excellent pastries. We swung by for the Haru pop-up to try their canelés - totally worth the drive. They have pop-ups in here pretty often & we're going back May 8 for a pie pop-up that we've heard great things about! 🥧 I'd come back just for the coffee, pastries, & friendly service though, too.

Not my favorite spot.. the interior has been cleared out, presumably for COVID, so there was only a few pieces of art and the counter/coffee bar. There wasn't really any vibe, just meh. I ordered two drinks (~6-8 oz) and it was $13. Probably the most expensive coffee I've ordered in Seattle. It was decent, but not worth it.

We were in the hospital just up the street and wanted a break, with good coffee. From the moment we walked in we could tell it was a different kind of coffee shop. The vibe is extra relaxed. The owner was extremely empathetic to our situation and wanted to hear our story. It was an amazing experience that was calling in the midst of a very stressful situation. And the coffee was DELICIOUS. Really, truly grateful for the care we experience from the owner and very happy with the coffee and biscuit. ❤️‍🩹❤️👍

Tougo Coffee is a MUST visit if you’re in Seattle. The vibe is warm and welcoming with plants everywhere and art on the walls. The coffee is absolutely perfect and the pastry’s are divine. My husband and I were lucky enough to meet the owner, Berhanu, and converse for a while. Berhanu made us feel so incredibly welcome, being rather new to the area. We had a delightful experience and can’t wait to go back.
