Google
I was super impressed! I have been looking for some good Italian food in Tallahassee, and now my search is over! I ordered takeout and was blown away by the food when I got home. Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The prices were super reasonable, and the quality was top-notch. I cannot wait to go back!

Google
Beautiful establishment. Everything we had here was fresh, warm, and most importantly, delicious! The service here was excellent, and our server was very kind and attentive. Would come back again, thank you for your beautiful tour of Italy!

This place seriously doesn't look like much, but be ready to be surprised. The food is amazing! I had the lasagne, and it was out of this world. They brought it on this plate, and the stuff was literally nibbling when the brought it to the table. The flavors were so good, too! The bread was really good, although it was essentially dinner rolls with melted butter and parmasean cheese poured over it. Their sweet tea is also really good. I definitely recommend this place. This is one of those hidden gems you fall in love with.

Google
I love this place. It's not big, but had the atmosphere of a true Italian restaurant. TOI has the best Italian food in Tallahassee! Their lasagna is fantastic. Service is great, but I recommend reservations, without them it can be a LONG wait. Portion sizes are fair for the money, and we always have food to take home. We haven't tried take away, but it is offered here.

Delicious and authentic. Wonderful servers. Great prices. Can’t wait to come back!

I came here to do an insurance inspection so technically I didn’t eat anything this time! However, the aroma and just looking at those rolls, has me hooked on coming back to eat. The kitchen was super clean and well organized. After I shared a short story with the owner, Kyle overheard my story went out of his way to come find me to tell me he would pray for me. The owner Ervin has done a great job and I can tell he has poured his heart into his restaurant. Ervin, I’m coming back and I’m bringing friends and trust me, I’ve got some awesome friends!

Me and my son went here for the first time Friday evening. We had a 30-45 minute wait. Make a reservation! But the food was worth every minute we had to wait !!! The food was delicious, hot and fresh. I had the stuffed shells with hamburger meat. My son had the medium all meat pizza. We also had garlic rolls and mozzarella sticks. My food also came with minestrone soup, which was great. You could tell it was homemade. I’ve never had such delicious Italian food in Tallahassee before. We had lemonade to drink. The server was so sweet, professional and friendly. Our bill was only $48. I definitely will come here again!!

Google
The wife and I eat out a lot. We love Italian food. This was our very first time eating here. It was awesome. Off the chain the best Italian restaurant we have eaten at in years. Our waiter name was Max brother. Awesome job! Y'all should be proud of this young man.

Yelp
The food. The atmosphere. Everything's flawless. Service was very nice and the staff were great

Yelp
Walked in and seated immediately. Our table had a reserved sign on it as we had a reservation. It was a nice touch. Once you get passed the main entrance ( which needs some updating) you feel you're in an Italian home. We started a bottle of Sangria served in tall wine glasses with fruit delicious along with the Burrata appetizer which was very tasty. I did feel the service was a killer on the slow side. Each meal came with warm and toasty garlic bread and a fresh salad. My husband ordered the meatballs and sausage pasta and my son the chicken parmigiana both enjoyed their meals. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana I was disappointed it was very dry and over cooked. My son's girlfriend had the linguini Pompeii. It looked delicious but was lacking in flavor. For the final course we shared the cheese cake and tiramisu. Both fresh and delicious. Over all we enjoyed our dinner. Prices are fair and portions are large.

Yelp
Excellent little place we found on our drive through Tallahassee. Great food and pizza, very authentic. Service was excellent and the restaurant had a nice warm slightly romantic atmosphere. Prices were great.

Yelp
Called 30 minutes before closing for a simple to go order, the person that answered told me they closed the kitchen. You think restaurants would be wanting business in this economy but not this place.

Leslie H.

Yelp
Staff is rude and the restaurant was a mess. Not one table was bused. Dishes and old food everywhere. We were denied service at 8:45 when in the past we had been allowed to order at the register and eat. Staff not interested in working or serving. Won't be back. You've been warned!

Yelp
We were out of pasta and I wanted pasta. I wanted to go to Olive Garden, but my companion hates the chain and instead looked up local Italian spots. Tour of Italy Italian Kitchen popped up and off we went. We arrived around 20 minutes or so after opening. It seems that they weren't fully set up yet, at the very least in the kitchen as the food took a bit to arrive to our table. They started us off with complimentary garlic rolls. They were massive and weren't bad, but I think a marinara sauce or something along those lines would've made them tastier. As I wanted pasta, I chose the stuffed meat shells. This came with a salad and so I opted for their balsamic vinaigrette. Be aware that they have at least five dressings. They definitely have a lot to choose from. The salad was well, salad. It's hard to mess this up. At the same time, there was nothing special about it. At this point in the meal, I already felt pretty meh, but the cherry on the top were the stuffed meat shells. When I tell you that I felt I overpaid for this meal, I am not even kidding. The stuffed meat shells were fine, plain even, at the very least the meat inside the shells. I kept thinking I should have gone grocery shopping and made this at home myself. My companion ordered a pizza and felt very much the same. I had debated getting a cannoli, but given the bland meal, I chose not to. I paid and we left, and well, I had no qualms telling my companion that we should've gone to Olive Garden instead. He may not be a fan, but at the very least you know what you are getting with them. I am here scratching my head as to how this restaurant has such great reviews. The food lacks flavor and the service is average at best.

Yelp
7.5/10 Solid spot with tasty options and friendly service. This spot is smaller but they manage their space pretty well- the menu hosts a solid amount of options from sea food to pizza and we sampled a good amount. Ceasar salad was nice heavily dressed, cheesy bread meatloaves spaghetti and a Sicilian pizza- prices aren't terrible and food was good the lasagna was a hit and the pizza is filling but light and crispy. Vibe is simple they have a mellow indoor section that is pretty small and nice patio section with heaters. Likely not ideal for large groups but groups of 6 or less or perfect. Servers were kind and attentive. Solid experience...

Yelp
Second time trying Tour of Italy out for take out. The service was good and reliable for information. Ambiance was the same as before in my previous review. The food was decent and tasted good. But the take out containers was the issue. Portions were a little underwhelming and putting the lasagna side by side and the eggplant parmesan made it a little annoying trying to figure out which was what without cutting into it. They have smaller containers so I wasn't sure why all 3 of the Tour of Italy orders were placed into one container like that. Will probably have to specify to separate and label them next time.

Yelp
Worst Calzone I have ever eaten. Bland Italian sausage, canned mushrooms and scant ricotta .

Yelp
We stopped here while traveling through town and I have zero regrets. 2 little kids, a preteen, and 2 adults. My kids weren't the quietest but gladly nobody seemed bothered. They had been in a car all day. The location is a little questionable from the outside as it's at the end of a little strip mall, but once inside, the atmosphere is transformed by some cute decor, a piano, and some cute pictures on the walls. It was very comfortable. When we sat down, they brought us garlic knots and the kids devoured them and we had to get more. The kids all opted for the fettuccine Alfredo and they ate all of it. Even my picky eater finished all of his pasta and mopped up the sauce with a garlic knot. It seems simple but finding a good Alfredo sauce is hard and this place nailed it. My husband got the shrimp pasta. It had spicy shrimp and sausage. He couldn't even finish it and ended up with leftovers. The portions here are huge so totally worth the price. There was a lot of proteins in it too. The flavor was great and he's looking forward to finishing it off. I got the penne vodka and really enjoyed it. I did need to add a little salt and wished there was some fresh Parmesan instead of the little pizza shakers but the sauce was great. All of the dishes had a lot of sauce and this is a big win for me. Most places don't put enough sauce. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was so nice and very patient with the children. She made suggestions and answered all of our questions. The only reason this is missing a star is because our food took a long time to come out. We're pretty patient and didn't mind being out of the car for a bit but the kids were hungry and whining by the time food got to us. It was easily 30+ minute wait until we had our food in front of us.

Yelp
Great meal at this cute neighborhood restaurant. The garlic knots were delicious and we all enjoyed our main entrees. The grilled chicken parmigiana with zucchini noodles was a nice surprise offering. Finished off with Belgian chocolate mousse cake- all enjoyable!

Yelp
This restaurant is a not so hidden gem! Very popular and successful! The food is delicious and plentiful! I've never had a bad meal. Maddie is the manager and runs a great operation! The ambiance is kind of traditional but definitely could use some money and attention , make no mistake they are fantastic for prices and the quality of food. Service is very rarely in question. I just now started to doubt writing such a great review, only because i realize I'm helping to make it busier?! lol Seriously though it is FANTASTIC!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty good!! It's a small place so they run out of room quickly! Definitely call ahead to make a reservation if you want to have a spot! There is indoor and outdoor seating! Great staff, took a little time but worth the wait! Dishes we ordered were great!!! Loved the bruschetta.

Yelp
I started out my dinner with the burrata my friends ordered followed by cheesy bread with three melted cheeses. Loved my chicken marsala at Tour of Italy. They subbed out the pasta for zucchini noodles and made a sangria pitcher upon request. Very reasonable prices, large portions, impeccable service, and tasty food. This was my second time after a Yelp event years ago and I will certainly be back.

Omer K.

Yelp
Never been to Tour of Italy for lunch so I thought I would try. Also a first for me is the Calzone. Got the pepperoni and Italian sausage. Service was fast and friendly (12:30) Camryn M my server was awesome greeted me with a welcoming smile. Only four tables were occupied. Garlic rolls are incredible and freshly baked. Got an Itialian side salad and the Italian dressing was wonderful. Salad is made with mixed greens. They have several items on their $11.00 Lunch Menu. Music was a bit aggravating as it sounded as though it was broken and buffering. Overall the meal was very delightful. Calzone was a generous potion and properly proportioned ingredients. I would say 8 out of 10 stars.

Yelp
Tour of Italy Italian Kitchen is a quaint, little Italian restaurant located in the corner of a rather nondescript shopping plaza. It would be easy to miss this location. There is really nothing about this restaurant that calls out to you. In fact, even looking for the place, I almost drove by it in this nondescript shopping plaza. Uoon entering, it did get a little better, but this place is not going to wow you with the ambience. It will however wow you with the service and the food is pretty good, as well. Our meal started off with them bringing us some garlic knots. These garlic knots were extremely addictive, with each bite I was satiated with a taste of butter, garlic and cheese all in a lovely piece of dough that was gone in maybe two bites. They brought two of us six of these lovely garlic knots. Honestly, I would not have minded ordering more. For my entree, I went with the veal parmigiana. The veal parmigiana comes with a salad, I opted to upgrade my salad to an antipasto salad for three dollars more. This simply added some chopped up meat on top of my salad. Though I have to say, this meat truly did make the salad even better. My veal parmigiana was pretty good. It came with the obligatory bit of spaghetti, as well. I will say that I thought the sauce was a bit too acidic for my taste. It would have benefited if they put some carrots in it or perhaps even a little sugar in the sauce to offset the acidity of the tomatoes. Otherwise, it was a fine meal. The prices were fair at this restaurant. My veal parmigiana was I believe eighteen dollars. A glass of wine was six dollars. I found this to be fair pricing. I would definitely recommend Tour of Italy Italian Kitchen.

Yelp
Plentiful meals that taste good and at reasonable prices. Service was a bit slow because we were part of a very large group.

Yelp
I just had the best pizza I have had in a long time. I have been a fan of pizza similar to their Supreme pizza since college days because there is something about that blend of pepperoni, Italian sausage, onions, green peppers, mushrooms and sometimes black olives that my taste buds just love. Today they recreated that memory for me. No parsimony with the veggies nor any of the other ingredients. The smell was killing me on the short ride home. The box had the telltale grease of the meats which means no precooked meat here. Yeah, the point of the slice was a little limp as a result, but I have two hands and my finger works just fine for holding that point up for that first big bite that takes care of the limp point. The rest is crisp crust deliciousness. There is a reason most pizza places have a supreme or deluxe pizza on their menu with ingredients similar to those at Tour of Italy. I don't think I am the only one who loves the blend of flavors that are created. It is absolute taste heaven as far as I am concerned. I will be ordering this pizza again and again.

Yelp
This place doesn't look very nice when you enter the parking lot but the food and the service is some of the best in Tallahassee. Not very expensive either, enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
The casual mom and pop restaurant with fabulous food and service is what you get here. They have the greatest homemade bread hot out of the oven. We've had the pizza and spaghetti, lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The portions are huge with plenty to take home. Price is about $30.00 for two and very much worth it. My wife and I try to get here every time we are in the area.

Yelp
Tour of Italy is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. The quality of food is excellent and the menu has options for everyone. The food quantity is also worth the money. The salad and garlic bread that comes with most of the entrees is good too. The stuffed mushrooms and burrata from the appetizers is good for someone who wants to try something different than old school mozzarella sticks. It's a bit far from the city center but it's worth the drive. Try to make a reservation if possible. The wait can be about 15 minutes at around 6pm on Friday.

John L.

Yelp
The other night was my first visit to Tour of Italy. he atmosphere reminds me of an old-time Italian restaurant in comparison to, say, a Pizza Hut. The good and service was, as the stars show, excellent.

Michelle P.

Yelp
Do not be deterred by the outside of the restaurant. While the building is not much for ambience the food makes up for it. We had the fettuccine Alfredo and baked ziti with meat sauce. The garlic rolls were the perfect addition. We topped off our meal with a chocolate covered canolli and I am dreaming of it. Our waiter, a nice young man, was super attentive. We'll be back when in the area!

Yelp
Dinner with friends on the patio in perfect weather with great food. Max was the perfect server. Food was delivered quickly, hot and picture perfect. I had the Eggplant Florentine with Spaghetti. Very good. My sister had the salmon which she said was good. And this is her husbands favorite spaghetti and meatballs. Portions are a good size (took half home) and the price is very reasonable. Good job all around.

Yelp
Visited this place years ago and glad we came back. It is way on the other side of town, so I had really kind of forgotten about it - but, this place is now on my list of favs. The inside dining area is small (very quaint) as well as the outdoor dining. We made reservations for a somewhat large party and though the original setup was not conducive to my liking, when we made a suggestion on how to make sure everyone could be seated at the same table more comfortably, there was no problem at all making a last-minute change (shout out to Bryan/Brian who made it happen). Our server Juan was EXCELLENT! Very cordial; always had a smile on his face - made us feel special :o). We started out with mozzarella sticks, fried calamari, and baked stuffed mushrooms - all very good. I especially like that the fried calamari was seasoned just right. Quite often, I've had calamari from various restaurants that was overly seasoned/too salty. Also, there were warm garlic rolls that kept coming and that certainly hit the spot. Various dishes from our table were ordered: chicken parmigiana, penne alla vodka, spaghetti, honey bourbon salmon, cheese pizza, all meat pizza. I ordered the eggplant lasagna which was sooooo good! Salads came with the meals, most of us had tossed salads and a few of us had greek salads (hard to mess up a salad, lol!). In any case, everyone enjoyed their meals; we simply had a great time. We will definitely return as I am looking forward to trying other items from the menu.

Patrick M.

Yelp
Their service concept! They open at 4:00, we arrived at 4:30 and they had no tables and said it would be a 30 + minute wait. Ok their tables weren't full it was only a third filled, and didn't want to add more people. And yes there were more people being turned away! The attitude was like it or leave, so we left! Plenty of other Italian restaurants here!

Fran C.

Yelp
i had to wait five extra minutes for my takeout on a Friday night . well, duh that's date night and the place was jammin to make everyone happy Meatlovers speghetti dinner is worth it! so delicious and soooo happy to have a home cooked meal at the end of 3 days of driving and it was those hot garlic buns i waited for - YES
google avatar

Yelp
Cozy warm atmosphere! We had a great waiter. I wish I could remember his name. The food was delicious. My husband had three different kinds of stuffed shells and I had the salmon. It was wonderful over risotto with fresh, roasted zucchini, and broccoli. Our friends had the personal pizza and the eggplant roll Latini, every entrée was delicious. They have an outdoor heated patio. I'm not sure if you can bring dogs there but I will check into it since we have a little 10 pound dog I would recommend this restaurant for good food at a great value.

Cheryl B.

Yelp
We mostly order takeout and the food is always fresh and delicious. Never a complaint, no matter what we order. Meatballs are a favorite side order for Grampa and the grandkids. Portions are plentiful and we always have leftovers for the next day.

Yelp
A fave of my friends and fam. I like it ok. The sauces are a little heavy for me. Service is always good. The small cafe ambiance is very pleasant. Decent prices and good garlic rolls are a hit. Very good salads, too
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
First timer. Cheese pizza: 3 stars. Cheese was good but it tasted as if there was no sauce. What I disliked the most es the dough. No flavor, bland, and tasted like cardboard. Cheese+sauce+dough flavors did not coalesced. Specialty calzone: 3.5 stars. God balance between the cheeses. The pineapple, sausage, onion, and banana pepper flavors were lost in translation. I have had this combo before and is good (from other places). In this case, aside from the bland dough I was not happy with the flavors. Interestingly enough, the sauce kind of saved the day as it was good. I ponder what happened in the pizza. Will give it a second chance.
google avatar

Mimi W.

Yelp
I was treated to a family meal here after I had my baby girl. The food was so good we ordered here the next day too. After eating here for two weeks straight we cut back lol. The food is really good. The pizzas are gooey and the crust is amazing. The shrimp Alfredo is my personal favorite and we had literally everything on the menu. Just over all great tasting food. Only con is the price because it is really expensive when buying for a family of 6 but I guess that is to be expected for made from scratch food. Other than that I love it here. Great date night food too.
google avatar

Frank M.

Yelp
Food is very good and the ambiance is ok. The restaurant is small but does have a patio. Quantity of food is quite good. Service is very good. We ate at about 6:30 and it was pretty much filled. When we left there were about 4 couples awaiting tables to become available.

Morgan D.

Yelp
Fantastic place to eat at. The two servers working Cameron and Branden were absolutely amazing. Jimmy the host was very attentive and brought out bread and drinks to a few customers while working the front counter. Over all the food was a 10 out of 10. They offered complementary bread with parmesan and butter. We ordered the cheesy bread with marinara sauce for an appetizer, prosciutto and ricotta pizza, penne alla vodka with a caesar salad, and a slice of New York cheesecake for dessert. All the food was very fresh and delicious. We will 1000% be back next time we are in Tallahassee for the day.

Yelp
We LOVE Tour of Italy. We order out fairly often and mostly pizza but finally visited in restaurant and it was great. Service and food were amazing. My only critic is that the outside seating could use some updating. We are lucky to have such a great restaurant in the Lake Jackson area! I had the Linguine Pompeii, my partner had the veal masala, my children had a small pizza and a calzone and of course we had to have some cheese sticks for an appetizer.

Yelp
My wife and I returned to this restaurant because we had experienced great food and excellent service in each of our previous visits. This time was no different.

Yelp
This restaurant was cozy, nicely decorated, smelled like fresh garlic, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was stellar! The portion sizes were huge and we had LOTS of leftovers for days! Hoping to go back again before my daughter graduates from FSU in December!!!!

Yelp
Quick lunch. Great food. Excellent service. Outdoor seating with calm ambience. Dog friendly.

Yelp
WOW! We had a family birthday dinner and it was fabulous. The food is wonderful and the portions are very generous. Don't miss those garlic cheese rolls!!!! I had the Eggplant Florentine and it was the best I have had in Tallahassee. The service was excellent and the owner is the chef. We all had a great night and left was plenty of left-overs for lunch the next day too!

Yelp
Superb Italian food and good sized helpings We mainly do take out. Highly recommend

Yelp
So impressed!! My first visit last week and it exceeded expectations. The service was great. There was a 45 minute wait inside, but we got a table outside underneath the nice warm heaters immediately and it was very comfortable. The server was prompt and courteous and the food was fantastic. When I try a new Italian restaurant for the first time, I usually either order the pepperoni pizza or the lasagna as a baseline to determine whether it's a place I would like to come back to. The pepperoni pizza came out hot, full of flavor with a beautifully crafted crust, and absolutely delicious! My buddy ordered the Stromboli and he was licking the plate when it was done. The location is a little out-of-the-way but it's well worth the trip. I don't give five star reviews very often because usually there's something that can be improved upon but in this case it was deserving. The flavors reminded me of the former Milano's on Tharpe Street, which was one of our hidden gems for Italian food in Tallahassee. Can't wait to bring my wife here for another delicious meal!

Teva M.

Yelp
This was our second time visiting this restaurant, we were as pleased as the first time. The food was great, the service was excellent and we definitely will be back. The ambiance is not great, but, the staff and makes up for our it. Please try your neighborhood food joints, and be as surprised as we were.

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
We eat there at least once a month, food and service is great. We've found if you go early you don't need a reservation, however if you go after 6:00pm you should make one.

Rachel V.

Yelp
My favorite Italian restaurant in Tally! I love this place, the service and food are always excellent! :)

Paul P.

Yelp
Restaurant Rule of Thumb: if the place is full and people are waiting for a table- odds are it's a great place. Tour of Italy is one of theses places. Full disclosure- they have a small dining room indoors and outdoors. The great food and service is worth the wait. Best of all portions are good and so are the prices.

Yelp
Satisfy your craving for authentic Italian food and a family-friendly atmosphere at Tour of Italy! Tour of Italy is a family-owned, quaint local restaurant and a place where folks come together for good times and great food. They capture the essence and the ambiance of an evening sitting with a glass of wine and a fine meal on a piazza. Their commitment to homemade ingredients makes for the highest quality food, with all sauces, breads, pizza dough, bread, rolls, meatballs, and sausage made from scratch. As highlights of their menu, they use only the freshest eggplant for their signature eggplant parmesan and offer a meat lasagna special daily with their homemade garlic knots and glass of beer/wine. Our first time there, we attended a wine-tasting event that walked you through an array of delicious wines and finished with a taste of their regular menu. The Eggplant Florentine instantly won me over and it's become my favorite dish there now. The weather turned out perfect on the last afternoon I was there and made for a lovely time sitting out on the patio. The Meatball Sliders were delicious, nestled in their signature garlic parmesan rolls and the Eggplant Caprese made for a light and fresh touch to the meal. We followed this up with their Eggplant Florentine and Piatto di Frutti di Mare, which acted as yin and yang with the heavy eggplant vegetarian dish stuffed with ricotta and spinach on one side vs. the lightly-sauced linguini pasta tossed with the flavors of the ocean with fresh shrimp, scallops and mussels on the other. We finished on a sweet note with an all-time favorite and quintessentially Italian dessert, Tiramisu! Overall, Tour of Italy is a wonderful example of a local, family-run business that puts their heart and soul into their dishes and I am excited to regularly be back!
